Ivan is an extremely short person. He is even shorter than a dwarf. His size barely reaches 60 centimeters, making him slightly taller than a little baby. He does not seem to have any signs of fat on his body. His tiny body is also quite muscular but his tiny muscles cannot be seen under the clothing that he wears. As for his face, he has short black hair, grey eyes that are covered from his glasses and a clear face with no signs of scars. His tiny ears can also be seen as his hair-style is short.

Ivan's clothing is quite simple. He wears a big old mantle below his neck that covers his whole body. Under the mantle, he wears a black shirt that looks like a martial artist's, with a yellow dragon drawn on it. Also, he wears black pants and black shoes. On his face, he wears a pair of glasses. And that sums up his clothing.

The only thing that contradicts everything is the appearance of the wings on his back. Not only they are black, unlike the wings of any other Bilkans, but also they are as big as they should be if he was normal sized. That size of his wings, combined with the fact that he has a very short body which seems to be weightless, give the ability to Ivan to fly, something that benefits him at scouting.

History: Ivan was born on the Sky Island of Bilka. His father was the leader of his clan and Ivan was his only son. From a very young age, Ivan was getting trained in order to become the person who would inherit the clan and so he would become their absolute leader one day. In order to do so, though, Ivan would have to learn a few things first. He would have to become a true warrior and master the battling style of the clan, the Ryu Style. Also, he would have to learn the Life Return technique, in order to learn how to adapt his body into different situations and win any battles he would take part in.

As the years passed, Ivan trained more and more in order to become the leader. However, when he was six years old, his father realised the horrible truth. Ivan did not seem to get taller. He was stuck in that height and his body did not seem to grow, even if there was nothing wrong with it. This made him stop training Ivan and he told Ivan that if he did not get taller, he would never get to become the leader of the clan.

Disappointed with that, Ivan left from his house. Being a smart boy, he knew that there was no way that he could get taller and so he left from the house and the island of Bilka. Taking a risk, he jumped down from his sky island and he fell in the Blue Sea, where he started living for the rest of his life. His family thought that he was dead and so they were not searching for him anymore. However, Ivan was training himself more and more.

For more than 20 years, the boy trained himself on the island on which he fell after he fell from Bilka. That island, a small island in the Grand Line, was the perfect place for him. There, he trained himself to the maximum and mastered his techniques, to the point that he could use Life Return to get to a proper body size. Also, while on the island, he learned many interesting things. He learned about the events that started taking place in the Grand Line, the appearance of the Warlords, the Sea Emperors and the Admirals, from the marine's side, as well as about the infamous rookies and the most dangerous sea, the New World.

When he learned the information about the New World, Ivan made up his mind. He decided to travel around that sea and return back from it one day. If he ever managed to return safe and sound, he would be the proper leader to take care of his clan. He would proove to himself that he was strong enough and so he would have the honor to return back to the place he deserved to be. And so, Ivan is now travelling in the Grand Line, searching for a crew that will allow him to achieve his goal: To survive in the New World.

Jaya Mini-Arc

While searching for a crew, Ivan got in Jaya were he met a girl named Nightwing. The girl, who happened to come from Skypiea as well, inspired him to become a captain. He knew that if he found many strong people and preferably Skypieans to join him, he would achieve his goal with greater ease. And so, with the girl as the first mate, Ivan decided to form the Black Wing Pirates, the pirate crew which he would run as a captain and as a scout.

Long Ring Long Island Arc

After forming the Black Wing Pirates, Ivan and Nightwing got to an island called "Long Ring Long Island". There, Ivan decided that the crew would search for supplies to get and so he and Nightwing started searching for anything useful herbs which would be good to eat during their travels. While they were there, though, a man called Alexius appeared. He said that he would guide the crew on the island and that they would search for the food supplies they wanted together. Ivan accepted Alexius' proposition and soon enough the three of them started searching for supplies. For an hour and more they were searching... However, when they found enough, Alexius showed his true colors. He stole all the supplies and he started running towards the ship. Ivan and Nightwing started following him and when they got to the ship, they realized that Alexius along with 2 goons was about to leave with their own ship. He was planning from the start to steal all the supplies and their ship as well. Seeing that, Nightwing got mad and she started shooting towards the ship, damaging main parts of the ship and making it unable to move anymore. Afterwards, Alexius and his two goons, Flotsam and Jetsam prepared to fight the Black Wing Pirates. While Ivan took on Flotsam and Jetsam, Nightwing took on Alexius. Ivan quickly defeated his two enemies by himself while Nightwing struggled a little bit with Alexius. Apparently, the man was way out of his goons' league. Ivan, though, quickly came to her assistance and he attacked Alexius, sending him right in front of Nightwing's shots, making her strike him with her bullets and murdering him. In the end, the two pirates took a boat which they had on their ship and they started leaving along with it and with the supplies.

Cruise Ship Enormous Arc

While sailing with the boat, Ivan and Nightwing stumbled upon a ship. The ship, though, was not like a marine or a pirate ship. It was a cruise ship that was called "Enormous". Upon seeing the ship, Ivan quickly came up with an idea. He proposed to Nightwing to attack the ship and take control of it so that they would be able to sail with a real ship. The crew swiftly got up to the ship and they threatened the passengers. While doing so, they also found a skypiean on it, named Hexi, who asked to join them as he saw that they were fellow skypieans. As soon as he joined them, though, the captain of the ship appeared and with little to no effort he completely overwhelmed the Black Wing Pirates. Then, he called the marines and the three pirates were taken in a nearby prison...

Prison Escape Arc

As soon as they were taken in custody, the Black Wing Pirates were all thrown in a cell. Ivan, though, with some swift movements grabbed a guard and stole his keys, opening the way out. While escaping, the Black Wing Pirates took down many marines and Ivan put up many battles. He took on several marines and he went all-out, using all of his power against the soldiers. With his power to the limit, the captain of the crew managed to defeat around 100 marines and around 30 of them succumbed to their wounds or they were brutally murdered. Thus, he earned his current bounty of 18,000,000 Beli for escaping a prison, for defeating many marines to the point that a few of them died. However, as he escaped he lost track of the Black Wing Pirates and so his crew ended up getting disbanded. And now, Ivan is sailing the seas again, searching for a person to join his crew, preferably a skypiean, so that he can achieve his goals.

Personality: When not facing enemies, Ivan is a calm person who avoids battling. He tries not to battle with enemies so that he will avoid getting damaged and to use his strength only in times that it will be needed. Instead, he prefers doing his work within a crew, rather than fight an enemy. When his comrades battle, he will be at the sidelines watching from afar and he will wait in order to see who will win.

However, in case somebody of his friends is in trouble or he cannot avoid battling, his another personality comes out to the surface, revealing the powerful fighter he hides inside his "quiet" nature. The fact that he does not like battling, combined with the fact that he is extremely short, makes others believe that he is a worthless fighter. That usually powers him in battles, turning him into a ruthless person who does not hesitate to kill his enemies. He takes advantage of his rage and turns his body into a deadly machine in order to kill any enemies he has.

On the ship, he is the kind of person who will watch around to see if any marines are coming. He does not have any other role in the crews he is in, so he happily accepts this. Also, he is always a volunteer to go at exploring missions, in order to do his job and also explore as many places as possible.

Finally, Ivan has a secret dream. He wants to return to Bilka for the first time, to form a crew after he returns from his first travel to the New World. His dream crew is a crew consisting of many Bilkans and people of other races. That shows that he has a few leading tendacies and he likes leading people. However, after his meeting with Nightwing, his plans changed. Instead, he decided to form a crew by himself and travel along with her, and any other skypieans he would find, across the Grand Line and the New World. After the Black Wing Pirates were disbanded, though, his plans changed to the original and so now he's aiming to create a crew after returning to Bilka and after taking control of his family.

Special Abilities:
-Life Return: Ivan was taught by his family the Life Return technique. As a result, he can manipulate his body in order to take a form that is better for a battle.
-Ryu Style: Ryu Style is the battling style that Ivan uses. This style is similar to the Shockwave Style, but with a different name.

Learned Techniques (Keep it 1-25):
-Ryu Mode: Ryu Mode is the signature technique of Ivan. It is the core of his techniques, as it changes his body size and allows him to take a battling form. By using Life Return, Ivan manipulates his body and is able to almost triple his height to reach the height of 1.50 meters. Even if that height is short, it is good enough to allow Ivan to battle with all his strength and demonstrate the true power of his martial arts. However, his wings do not grow in size as they are fully grown and so he cannot fly in this form. He can jump very high, though. This technique can last for 10 posts and after waiting for 5 posts, Ivan can reuse it again.

Appearance in this form:

-Ryu Breath: Ryu Breath is the first attack of Ivan. The Bilkan, in his Ryu Mode, strikes by moving his hand or his foot forward, releasing a shockwave attack.
-Ryu Snot: Ryu Snot is the second attack of Ivan. The Bilkan, in his Ryu Mode, strikes with a smaller in size shockwave which is released by the instant movement of his pointer finger. This Shockwave is much weaker but its dramatically faster. It is great for barrage attacks. This attack can be used by Ivan in his normal form, too, but it is performed like the regular Ryu Breath (from the hand, not from the finger)
-Ryu Rush: Ryu Rush is the technique that concentrates around speed. By using Shockwaves from his feet, Ivan momentarily increases his speed termendously, allowing himself to run with Soru speeds. This technique can be used by Ivan in his normal form, too.
-Ryu Crush: Ivan's main melee attack. The Bilkan strikes his enemies with the palm of his hand, while also using a Shockwave at the same time, damaging them thanks to the Shockwave and thanks to the strike attack. This attack can also be used with the legs.
-Ryu Fly: Ivan's supporting attack that allows him to stay on the air, even in his Ryu Mode. The Bilkan uses his Shockwave from his legs to launch himself on the air. Then, he constantly uses the Shockwaves to keep himself on the air, as if he is really flying.

first off: what do these "shockwaves" do and what is their origin? he dosent have a devil fruit and last I checked the effects of life return didn't have the same effects as the gura gura no mi... this will need much, MUCH more detail

Those shockwaves are not related to Life Return. Life Return in this case is used to increase the character's body size. Urouge has used a similar technique in One Piece, although it is not confirmed as Life Return. It still shows that it is possible to increase the size with a technique.

Secondly, the shockwaves are a battling style I thought off and used in many characters. It is similar to how a Rankyaku is performed but instead of doing "cutting" damage, the damage is like from a blunt attack and is performed by moving the hand or the leg swiftly to launch the air attack. They have the color of a rankyaku, they are basically air. They are not related with the shockwaves of the Gura Gura no Mi, there's nothing related to the tremors.

Thirdly (this sounds irrelevant), I changed the appearance of Ferdinard. He doesn't deserve to be unapproved because of the appearance. Could you check him out, please?

life return does posses the ability to modify body build to an extent, though your certainly pushing the envelope.

okay you seem to be misinformed, rankyaku isnt a shockwave, its the same as Zoro's 360 pound cannon attack, essentially its a slash made of air accomplished by moving the limb at superhuman speed, its the air itself being "cut" off the edge of the blade or in this case leg and a compressed body of air moving fast enough off the attack to cut targets at a distance, therefore your use of the term "shockwaves" is quite misleading, not to mention incorrect in the case you are using it.

the only instance of so called "blunt" air wave attacks came in Sanji's battle against Jyabura durring the cp9 ark in which Jyabura displayed a variant of ryankyaku called the "lupus four" which created spherical bodies of compressed air shaped in that case like wolf heads that followed an erratic pattern in the air striking targets with a forceful, concussive, almost explosion like effect rather than cutting, however your so inappropriately named ""shockwaves"" seem to require no momentum at all and have an unknown, inexplicable origin with no defined effect, as I said before, the techniques are under-explained

Okay, I will try to give out a good explanation about it and tell me if it is okay.

The character points the hand/finger/foot towards his target. Then, by moving the muscles of the hand swiftly, the air from around is launched in a compressed spherical form that moves towards his enemies. The damage is similar to the damage from a rankyaku, but it is blunt, not cutting (being a blunt attack it would not affect a Gomu Gomu user or a Beri Beri user but it would affect a Bara Bara user).

As for the name, I will change it from shockwaves to compressed air (It was meant to be compressed air from the begining anyway).

Is that explanation and the change satisfying?
