Devil fruits + objects= devil fruit user?

According to the rules, only 3 devil fruit users are allowed for each person to make. That said, do objects with devil fruit powers count as users?

so.....i could have 3 people with devil fruits, and there could be any random object with a DF, and it wouldn't be a problem?

Nope. As long as the animal isn't the character, it doesn't count. Like, if you made a... kitten that ate the Human Human fruit, and submitted it into the Character Creation thread, that would count as a DF user. If you did what InTents did and, say, give a weasel the Grow Grow fruit and had it fight alongside a character, it wouldn't count.
