-Appearance information-
Physical appearance: He is 5’10 with a slender athletic with noticeably pronounced shoulders. When his shirt is off the veins that run between his neck and should can be seen. He is 165lbs and has light brown 27 on Lushan skin complexion scale. There is a thin amount of short black hair on his arm and chest. His legs hairs are slightly more plentiful and longer. (nationality would be African American)
He wears rectangular silver colored frames with round frame bottoms with blue light blue tinted lenses. His eyes are a light hazel color. The piece that holds frame has star shape cut outs. His nose is rounded and is size suitable for his face. His eye brows are thick and black. He has no facial hairs such as a beard or mustache. A scar that runs between his eyes and across his ending on the middle of his cheek, it almost resembles and S in shape. The hair on top of his head is worn in a 5in Mohawk, black, but the sides aren’t bald instead they are cut low and dyed lavender. It is slightly curly when not combed and when it gets wet it draws up and get nappy. The shape of his head is oval with a square strong hard lined jaw. His cheeks are flat like when people with round cheeks slightly suck them in. His lips are full but normal looking and are unnoticeable brownish pink that fits skin tone (not the same as his skin tone...) Would be considered handsome but the scar can turn some people off or on. Is facial expression is always like he is in deep thought.
Other than his shoulders, neck and strong, pronounced biceps and forearms his muscles and strength can’t be seen in the rest of his torso. His stomach and chest appear slightly round but it is firm to the touch. His stomach reaching and inch over his belt and will if moved with his or someone else’s hands. Feet are average benefiting a person of his size.
Non visual information: His voice isn’t noticeably deep or high. He speaks in even tone and fluently. But it is more deep than high, it is clear when he speaks that it is a man’s voice. If he were to sing however his voice could be picked immediately out immediately because of being of tone and general distinctiveness.
Extra features: His stomach is covered in knife wounds that were stitched back together.
Clothes: Casual black sleeveless zip up hoody vest, no shirt underneath. Charcoal colored newsboy hat. Lavender knickers.
Clothing 2 Silver colored leather pants with gold colored studs going down the outer leg. Purple colored t-shirt with a male lion that looking as if it was trying to roar but its throat is crushed. Across the top in pink it says “Reyes” (Kings). The t-shirt is from fitting (like a muscle shirt)

When he doesn’t wears a hat he has a silver bandana folded worn across forehead so it doesn't cover hair and tied below his Mohawk. His footwear alternates between black jika-tabi and geta.

Personality Overview:
Fun loving Care free, outspeak reckless and highly energetic. He tends to be the center of attention. Whether it’s fighting, food eating competition or drinking. He relishes in the attention, enjoys it. He is very loyal to his friends and will go out his way to protect them or get revenge on their behalf. He throws extravagant parties with sometimes cruel forms of entertainment. He would not be against locking a person in the cage with nothing more than a wooden stick to fight a bear.
He revels in the finer things in life titles, money, and the bells and whistles.
He is always to trying to prove his strength to both himself as others. He has a high willpower and will try to fight opponents he should not have any hope of defeating. He never backs down to a challenge. An often time is very impatient and short tempered with people. Self assured he tends to look down on others. He seems to lack a code of honor. Under the notion that pirates do what they want they are under no obligation to follow rules.
When fighting opponents it is hard for him to show restraint, this often leads to wide spread damage of surroundings. Even without a teacher to teach him swordsmanship he took upon himself to learn. Doing this in spite of how dangerous the task and the amount of injury he caused himself. This shows somewhat how determined, borderline stubborn, he is. He will go great lengths for his convictions. He never goes back on his word but will debate semantics. For example he might say that I will let someone go free. Release them and then kill them. But when it comes to business and his reputation he doesn’t mess around. If he swears by his flag he can be trusted. Malik very deceitful and is good at telling people useless information while appearing to be helpful. He doesn't like asking for assistance from those he is not affiliated with. In these instances he can be bossy ordering them to do something rather asking. Seeing the big picture he can put aside rivalries and differences to tackle are larger problem.
Those who are loyal to him he is loyal to. Although sometimes he can be harsh and demanding he still cares for his crew. If some offends him or them he will brutally go after them and their allies. Those who don’t have his loyalty are met with extreme cruelty. He would kill a stranger for laughing or otherwise insulting him. He shows no remorse or pleasure in killing
In his allies he looks for skill above strength (Practical intelligence in their field if applicable). He finds that it shows a level of discipline that one has chosen to study their craft diligently. He also looks for courage or guts this super cedes his violent tendencies if the person has what it takes to back up what they say despite the circumstances he will applaud these people (not literally).
Malik knows when it is time to restrain himself so that he does not draw undesired attention. He has great respect for others including enemies, who keep their word. He doesn't answer questions with obvious answers. He responds sarcastically or simply walk away. Generally his sarcasm is politely expressed. When receiving information Malik wants the big picture most of the time and doesn't want to hear details. Unless there important. Not often surprised.
His ideal woman: hair color that isn't natural, being born blonde and dying the hair brown doesn't count. It must be colors like pink, purple, green... He likes them tall and sassy. When dealing with such a woman he is gentlemanly but not desperate. His romantic jesters are often off, instead flowers he might give her the hands of someone who insulted her.
He doesn't eat much but when it comes to drinking he holds his alcohol well. Enjoys tea with sweet cakes. The cakes he typically consumes are pretty fancy brightly colored and well decorated.
When talking to people is straight forward, no filter. He doesn't hold grudges and doesn't get easily worked up when personally insulted. However he will get worked over trivial things such as leaving the cap off the toothpaste sort of thing.
When it comes to woman he has soft spot for them but not in romantic way. He has a tendency to try and protect them. He has great respect them and will treat most of them like a sister.
Has great pride in his name and by extension expects people to care about their name and affiliations name. When he defeats pirates he will take their flag. Depending on the circumstances he will keep it or sully it. Strong opponents flags will be kept weak ones can will either be burned or pissed on and left behind. These kept flags are treasures for Malik that can be won back or given back if they do something that persuades Malik.
-History information-**
Childhood Malik grew up in a large city in a large country. He was raised by an abusive mother who took her frustrations out not only him but his brother and father. Only his little sister escaped this cruelty. Being the oldest of his siblings he suffered most of the punishment. The family lived meagerly in one of the poorer districts. Their mother as far back as they could tell didn’t have any official job although everyone was required to contribute in some way if they were no longer in school or being educated. The neighborhood was rough and violence and corruption were common. At any given point in the day one could hear screaming, crying, or yelling and no one would bat an eyelash. Each district had its own gang that ruled its area like a mafia keeping strict border enforcement. There were some who could cross between districts but this wasn’t common.
Malik had always been rebellious but given his age and lack of experience/knowledge was too weak. He constantly fought with his mother, verbally for the most and getting his ass beat. Despite his age he had keen grasp of how things worked in the society he lived. He saw that people who had the power ruled. In order to get power he would have to align his self with those who had have it. In order to leverage their power so that he could get out of the circumstances he was born into he started working with them. Initially he part was small but as time progressed he would become an intrical part of their mafia workings.
It was through this relationship that he would learn to fighting (Kick boxing). By the age of thirteen he would officially leave his parents house. Although he cared for his siblings he really didn’t have much attachment to his father considering him a weak willed looser who should have improved his circumstances long ago. Leo felt disdain at the fact that his own father let himself get beat up as well as his children. “I am going to be leaving now… Although you may see me around don’t call out to me. Cause I am not that guy anymore. I am reaching for something more. I’d suggest you do the same. Nobody hands thing to people you have to reach out and take what you want. I won’t live as a punching bag”. Those were his final words he said to them.
Path to piracy: When Malik was 15 he left he left his home country sneaking aboard a pirates ship. He hadn’t had much experience with pirates but he felt that his odds were better rolling the dice with them than staying at home forever. Hiding in a cargo bay stowed away until he could sneak away. At least that was his plan. In the middle of the night a rough storm hit sending the young boy flailing around. Wondering what they hell they could be doing he got out of his hiding spot. He had not left home so that he could die he couldn’t sit idly by why they got him killed. In the middle of the storm crew was extremely to see this boy appear out of nowhere. But things were rough so there wasn’t a whole lot they could do, while securing the ship. Without explaining much of who he was started firing off instructions, to which they didn’t take kindly to. One of the pirates held him as the other worked the ship. “Unless you all are hell bent on dying then release me! I can get us out of this storm. Where the fuck is your navigator.” The captain thought there was no harm letting the boy try their own navigator was drunk and the reason they were in this mess. After all was said and done the captain invited Malik to join his crew. Under the condition that it meant that he would serve as navigator. But he was also required to kill the old Malik never set out with attention of becoming a pirate. He just wanted to be the strongest. It was in his brief time with this group he learned about the Pirate King. The strongest person aboard was a swordsmen and like children so often do Malik emulated him and started to practice swordsmanship.
Joining the marines: Malik had not been with the pirates long before they were caught by the marines. Given there was no evidence of Malik having committed any crimes they let him go after background check. The Marines deemed it probable that he was forced into labor due the navigation skills that he demonstrated. As a supposed thanks Malik joined the marines. As with any other marine recruit they further trained him swordsmenship and firearms.
