The Lonely Lotus

Name: The Lonely Lotus
Description: The Lonely Lotus is an old Odachi. It is quite long, reaching 1.6 meters from tip to tip, and is quite heavy while compared to other swords of the same length. The blade is made of a low grade metal, and has dents and slits in random places as a result of years of fighting, the sword took a part in plenty of fights and it shows on it's blade. The sword's guard used to be shiny, but over the years it grew dirty and rusty. It is shaped like a blooming lotus flower. The grip is made of wood that is reinforced with a few metal plates so it won't break, and is covered with a few dirty bandages. The sword's sheath is made of brown leather, and is meant to be worn on it's owner's back.
Special Abilities: Even though it is made out of cheap metal, and even though it spent the last 50 years in constant battle, the sword is still highly durable. The special techniques that it;s creator used in it's making made it capable of enduring clashes with any sword and still remain at one piece.
History: The story of the Lonely Lotus begins with a famous blacksmith, who used to make swords for the rich and famous 70 years ago. Those rich people bought the swords just for collecting them, and never sued them in a fight. As he reached the end of his career, and turned old enough to see the end, the blacksmith had one wish to fulfill: Prove his skills. He used all of his spirit and all the tricks and methods he learned during his career, along with the cheapest materials he could find to make his last sword, which he named the Lonely Lotus. He wanted to prove that his skill was enough to make a sword that would defeat any other expensive sword, without using any special materials.

50 years ago, Oxford Formatina, the son of the rich ruler of Janomant island, decided on purchasing himself a brand new katana, crafted by one of the most famous blacksmiths. He approached his trophy room to find a place for the sword on his wall, his swords were never used for fighting, only for decorating. As he watched his wall, he noticed he had no room for a new sword. angry, he took the oldest sword that was hung on the wall and ordered one of the butlers to toss it in the nearest dumpster.

In that particular day, destiny had brought Sam Boateng, a homeless guy, to rest next to that particular nearest dumpster. Up until that day, Sam used to terrorize the streets and steal from whoever crossed his path, but after discovering the sword, Sam believed that he received a warning. The heavens must have handed him a chance to protect himself from the punishment he was about to receive, a last chance to redeem his life. He changed his ways, and became a generous and a man of honor, never to return to his old days.

Sam used the sword to survive in the streets. He never sold it, for it was his only chance of survival. He later passed the sword on to his first born, who later on passed it to his own son, Anthony Boateng.
