Serious; The Nature Pirates; Chapter 2: The beauty and the bears (Open to the Nature Pirates)

Seeing 6 men charging his way Griz took a deep breath, the had swords, he had claws, they had the strength of 6 men being 6 men Griz the strength of a grizzly bear but the knowledge of Aikido, they had the knowledge of piracy. whose got the better chance of winning. Griz smiled answering the question himself. As the 1st man came at him Griz tried grabbing hold of him and using his Rotary Throw. Using his foot the kick the side of the sword to the left away from himself. Griz gripped the arm near the shoulder and brought it back till it was far enough for him to throw him towards the other men.

Hoping to either injure or impale the man Griz smirked knowing that these other 5 men would be an interesting fight. Griz couldn't wait to see if these men worked together as well as what he presumed was their captain and the two men he was with. If not then these men may be easy to take down.

"No!" the men screamed as they looked at their comrade getting grabbed by Griz and being affected by the Rotary Throw. The man was thrown, hitting on a rock with his back and getting great damage to the point that he instantly fell unconscious. Blood was not coming out of his body, but yet the pain he received from the attack was great...

"What are they?!" one of the remaining five men remarked as he looked at his comrade getting defeated before Brewmaster run in front of the rest of the pirates, blocking their attacks one by one so that they would not hit Griz.
"Be careful with your movements Griz..." Brewmaster remarked. "You left an opened spot. They could have taken advantage of that, you know! And if you got damaged, I would never forgive myself for that..." he continued saying, while blocking the slashes of the pirates easily. As he blocked, the panda captain felt his chest hurting. It seemed that the stress and the pressure were making his wound slightly open... Even if it wasn't opened yet, the wound could open completely at any time! Brewmaster and Griz had to get rid of the pirates quickly...

Meanwhile, a few meters away...

Mangix was lying on the ground with his belly full... That fruit that Griz got for him filled his dummy... Even if it had a bad taste, it still satisfied his hunger. However, there was something strange... Mangix had a very strange feeling.

Griz looked at Brew's skills and noticed Mangix wasn't with them, he then adopted his fighting stance and used his Knife hand strike technique. He threw his body weight behind the strike at one of the men then tried swinging a knife hand strike to the back of the other men's knees to knock them to the floor.

Griz wanted this ship and to help his captain, when he saw the blood on Brew's chest he didn't know what to do and grabbed hold of the flowers he'd picked up and tried forcing them into one of the pirates mouths to make him hallucinate. Griz knew that it would help as the flowers caused some strong hallucinations.

As Griz was going with his attacks against the men, only two of them were laughed. The grizzly bear ultimately managed to defeat three of the five remaining pirates with his punches and make them fall unconscious. It seemed that these pirates were weaklings after all... They were no match for the captain and the first mate of the Nature Pirates at all. They were all ultimately defeated by Brewmaster and Mangix...

Seeing theirselves losing, the two pirates were shocked. The turned their backs on the two bears in order to escape to the jungle and call their captain. Before they did so, though, Brewmaster, despite his wound that started opening again, run behind them and slashed them with his sword on their back, causing them to fall unconscious as well... The two animals had just defeated the men of the Purplebeard Pirates...

"Good job... Griz..." Brewmaster said while taking a deep breath. "Let's go to the ship..." he said and he jumped on the ship to start sailing it. He wanted to move it to another place so that it would not be found by the three remaining pirates in case they returned.

However... While Brewmaster got on the ship, Jingel finally appeared out of nowhere!
"Wow... What is going on here?!" he asked with an angry voice while looking towards Griz who was standing above the defeated members of the crew. "I see you ignored my captain's order... And not only that, but you are also trying to steal our ship..." he continued saying and he started walking towards Griz, prepared for battle...

Griz smiled at Brew and joined him on the ship, as he clambered aboard he could see the ship was a nicely built piece of workmanship, well it was better than the raft they had been sailing on.

Griz saw a man ask what was going on and recognised him from before, he couldn't remember his name or even if he had heard his name. As the man walked towards him Griz charged at the man on all fours. he even gave a little growl out as he ran. As Griz got closer he lifted his front paws from the ground and tried using his Heaven and Hell throw. Griz's paws were aimed at grabbing Jingel's legs then forcing his other paw into this man's chest throwing him.

"That is not going to work on me..." the man said as his body started transforming... His body swiftly started changing into an ape's. His face transformed into one that ressembled a monkey's and hair grew in all his body. His legs also changed so that he would ressemble an ape. The man had transformed into a monkey...

Right after transforming, the man jumped out of the way of the attack swiftly by jumping backwards, without even looking. Then, he raised his hand and he pointed towards Griz while saying
"Well, well... I am Jingel Bels. I am the Navigator of the Purplebeard Pirates... And I am a Devil Fruit user... I doubt that a bear knows what Devil Fruits are... Anyway, my fruit allows me to transform into a monkey, increasing my strength and speed!"
Soon after he spoke these words, he said "Primal Dash!" while performing five small consecutive jumps and he moved behind Griz with Soru speed while moving his hand backwards and prepared to throw a punch at the grizzly bear. Would the attack work or not?

As this man changed and became a monkey Griz hit the ground landing on all fours he was surprised by this man, he knew what a devil fruit was but he really wasn't expecting this man to change. Griz stood back up as he turned around to see a monkey's fist speeding towards him.

Griz felt the impact of the fist knock him back on to his hind legs, he felt dazed, this man was rather strong. He shook his head and tried to force himself to stand up straight again. "I know what a devil fruit is, but who says you need one to be strong?"

Griz leant forward on to his front paws and threw himself upwards into the air and around as he spun in the air towards the monkey man gravity quickly got hold of him and tried to pull Griz back down towards the Earth hopefully on top of Jingel.
Griz tensed his whole body hoping to do much more damage.

"Do you think that you can hit me with slow attacks like these?" Jingel said with a smile on his face as he dodged the attack by using his Primal Dash technique, once more, making Griz hit the ground instead... The man was definitely fast. It would be very difficult for Griz to land a hit on him...
"Wow... How did an animal like you happen to not know the Arts of Nature? You are such a shame for an animal..." he continued saying while he started running towards the grizzly bear. While moving, he started charging his right hand slowly... As he approached, the fist started trembling, probably because of the amount of strength that the man concentrated on his monkey hand.
"Monkey Punch!" he said while performing the punch towards Griz who was still on the ground. If the punch hit the grizzly bear, the creature would take much damage, although it would not cause any damage to the bones. Apparently, the Monkey Punch technique was an expert punch of Jingel which he used not to break the body parts of his enemies but to make them feel pain. The attack concentrated on making the enemies feel the hurt of the attack rather than cause problems to their bodies. Would the attack work or not?

Griz was surprised at the monkey's speed as he hit the ground, he sat on his arse thinking of what to do next as he stood up he heard the monkey say, "Do you think that you can hit me with slow attacks like these?" Griz didn't think such a ridiculous person deserved a response and stood up and shook himself off reliving himself of the sand.

When he heard the monkey remark that he was a shame for an animal Griz felt angry and at the same time began running towards Jingel. As the monkey punch sped towards him self Griz continued charging until the monkey's fist was about to hit him he tried digging his claws down and upwards into the arm of the monkey. He tried forcing himself to do this quick enough but wasn't sure if it would work or not.

Griz hoped his attack would pierce into the monkey's arm so he could hold him still and hurt him badly, but wasn't so sure his attack would even land, he really wanted it to as he didn't want his captain to be further injured.

Instead of digging through the arm of the man that had transformed into a monkey, the attack was blocked by the monkey's right palm. Jingel raised his hand and opened it, showing his palm to his enemy. As the attack procceeded, the claws of the grizzly bear pierced through the palm and continued moving through the hand. However, unlike what Brewmaster and Griz expected, the monkey had a smile on his face...

Brewmaster was very surprised. He was watching at the battle from the ship while he was putting a bandage he found in front of his wound. He thought that Griz was done with the enemy but instead, Jingel was smiling.
"Wh-Why are you smiling?" he asked with a shocked voice the enemy.
"You don't listen to what I say... I mentioned the Arts of Nature... And this is one of them. This is the Primal Anesthesia technique... By focusing the strength of my supreme animal genes in my injured body parts, I am supressing a big part of the pain, just like an anesthesia would... Isn't that interesting?". Then, he raised his other hand and he said while keeping the smile on his face "I got you trapped... Grizzly bear." and he moved his hand downwards towards the hand of Griz that was piercing through his own hand in order to perform his Monkey Punch attack on it and cause it a great deal of damage.

(Basically, just like the Primal Dash technique from before which is the counterpart of Soru, Primal Anesthesia is a kind of counterpart to Life Return)

Griz saw the monkey smile and heard all of what he said, the first word which rushed to his mind was, shit. Griz saw the monkey's other hand rushing towards himself and as both hi hands were occupied and he couldn't think quickly enough. Griz opened wide hoping to chomp down on his fist. As the fist rushed up to his face it was heading directly for his mouth.

As the fist got closer he could feel the fist in his mouth and slammed his jaw shut as quickly as he could manage. Griz removed his paws from the monkey's palm and as the monkey's fist travelled towards his mouth and he tried slamming his teeth down on his fist Griz clenched his fists and tried punching with both of his fists at the same time as hard as he could manage at the body of the monkey. He hoped the fact that he was attacking at the same time would throw him off and make it so he wouldn't see his attack coming but didn't know.

"Are you trying to play tricks on me after I gave you my hand?" Jingel said with a disappointed look on his face while moving his hand backwards quickly and changing his attack instantly. "You know" he continued "Monkies are excellent acrobats...".

Then, with a smile on his face, he raised his leg and he attempted to perform a kick in the jaw of the grizzly bear in order to cause him some damage and counter-attack him... Jingel was not the kind of person who would fall easily... And he still had many tricks under his sleeves...

Griz was surprised to see how nimble this guy was as he drew his fist back and swung his foot up to kick him in the jaw. Griz stumbled back to the ground and landed on his back. he felt his chin ache from the kick and lay on the ground in pain. Griz didn't move nor did he open his eyes, his body was trembling with pain and he wasn't sure what to do. His brain thought wildly searching for an answer on how to beat him but found nothing, this monkey was too small and quick for him.

Griz slowly stood back up and sat down on the ground cross legged and shut his eyes breathing calmly. He focused himself and tried focusing his breathing so he could react quicker as it seemed this would be the only thing he could do to match up with this monkey.

"Are you trying to focus?" Jingel said with an evil look on his face. "No matter how much you try, there is nothing you can do. There is a reason why I am winning... And do you know what that is? That is my superiority. I am a superior being compared to you in all aspects. You are simply a trained bear that somehow gained the ability of human speech. I am not like you. I combine the REAL logic of a human and the power of an animal. That is why all the Purplebeards above me are zoan users rather than just taming beasts. Those beasts could go out of control and that would bring trouble to my crewmates... BUT... They know how to control theirselves. We basically combine two different creatures in one... That is what I call a miracle... No... I call that human intelligence! We have managed to surpass you, animals! Nature gave us a disadvantage at the begining... We were unarmed, with no ways of defending ourselves against you... We managed to develop ourselves, though, and surpass you... We are the ultimate creatures, bear... Don't revolt against us..." were the arrogant words of the man to the grizzly bear that was focusing... What would Griz answer?

Griz stared angrily at Jingel and roared back, "You insolent bastard, you know nothing of Brew and I, we were born animals both bears one panda one grizzly bear. We were captured by the Government for a project where our IQ was increased and we were forced to learn fighting styles. I was taught Aikido, Brew managed to destroy the project and all of the animals escaped. Now Brew doesn't have a strong liking for human and neither do I, admittedly I feel that everyone is entitled to life but I'm not about to let you walk all over me and my captain. We are the Nature Pirates and someone like you who has a monkey zoan isn't stronger than us. We were born animals with natural animal instincts, so have already easily mastered all of our own skills as an animal. Such as I can smell a monkey who right now is a little bit scared and since your the only monkey I see I'm guessing that monkey is you."

Griz attempted to use his Knife Hand technique but due to his anger and his rage being so focused the attack was much quicker and stronger than before and not only was a physical attack but it also became an air slash due to the speed where the air rushed past his paw.

Tunkstone looked up lazily. The last thing he remembered was the sea in all directions. Sea. Sea. Sea. Land.
He put his head down again. Then he looked up sharply.
LAND! He jumped up excitedly and wooted with joy. He hadn't had any alcohol in days. He picked up the oars with new vigor and started rowing.

He jumped out of the rowboat and landed in the sand. The boat had one sail and two oars, not the type of vessel used for open water and that could be seen by how damaged the vessel was. He hauled the boat up the beach and turned to look at the picturesque jungle a fore him. He grinned and slowly made his way to the jungle edge;only stopping to examine the boat that had been left near his.
"A good choice of ship if I want to get off this Island fast," he whispered to himself."Though this also means there may be people...Might even be the scientists-they may still be looking for me."
Tunkstone cricked his knuckles subconsciously and moved on.
"Better be on my guard."
He plucked the kibutsu from his side and put it to his lips.
Empty. Dammit. His nimble fingers tied the rope that held the kibutsu in seconds.
"I need alcohol," he whispered-licking his lips as he moved onto the lush ground of the jungle.

"Huh?!" Jingel said, without giving a response to the speech of the grizzly bear as he was surprised with how serious his voice seemed to be. As the grizzly bear attempted to use the attack to cut him down, the monkey-human hybrid tried to dodge. However, Griz's menace and fury against him seemed to be so great that before Jingel could move his own body he felt the bear's hand slashing through his left shoulder and causing him quite some damage. A big line was left on the shoulder, a proof of how devastating the attack that just cut Jingel was.

After getting hit, Jingel was sent a few meters backwards and he fell on the ground... Brewmaster started walking towards him and with a serious look on his face, he said "Just drop it already... You are born an animal... You can never achieve animal-ity. You shall never become like us, just like we can't never become like you. After all, if you became like us, it would be a disgrace for the whole animal world... Humans are humans and animals are animals. All I am seeking is equality between the two... Not to merge the two races... Understood?"

Upon listening to these words, the man got angry. He got up and looked towards Brewmaster with an angry look on his face. He grinned slightly afterwards and said "Animals... You are so pathetic... You even misunderstood my goals... I am not seeking the merge of the two races... I am seeking the enslavement of your race and the superiority of humans... And the best way to lead an animal is to become an animal...". Then, he raised his hand and pointed towards Brewmaster while saying "As for your hope, I will tell you one thing. That your hopes, panda, are nothing! Nothing but a mere illusion!!! Art of Nature: Primal Rage!".

"What the?!" Brewmaster said as he looked the monkey-human hybrid changing in size. The man was getting slightly bigger, his muscles were doubling in size and he ressembled a gorilla rather than a monkey.

"ARGH!!!!" Jingel said in his berserk. His comrades were very surprised... They had not seen him fighting so seriously. It seemed that he was using all his strength at once. He attempted to punch Brewmaster but before he could, the grizzly bear moved at the side and dodged the attack. Then, he said to Griz "Griz... You can defeat him now... It seems that he has lost control of his mind... He is unable of thinking... One of them is down... Then, you should go and hide the ship somewhere. As for me, I changed the plans. I have put a bandage to my wound so I won't be losing that much blood... So, I am going to chase the other two. Don't worry about me."

Afterwards, Brewmaster started running towards the jungle, chasing the remaining two of the Purplebeard Pirates... But where could they be?

Meanwhile...

In a dark room in the island, Dorothy and his captain were walking. The captain had a mad smile on his face and Dorothy was cheerfully following him. Surprised with the cheerful smile of Dorothy, the captain asked
"Dorothy... Is there a reason you are laughing?"
"Well... Naxo-sama... I have a feeling that we are going to have some fun soon."

The monkey trudged forward. He stopped every now and then to listen to the strange sounds coming from the forest.
"Need alcohol," he drawled as his shoulders slumped forwards and his feet dragged through the lush jungle floor.
He knew he wouldn't survive if he didn't get alcohol within the next 24 hours and he would be open to attack as he couldn't fight at his best.
He started swaying slightly as he moved on and shortly after, fell to his knees.
He spent a bit of time taking heavy breaths before stumbling to his feet and continuing.

A few minutes later, Tunkstone was dragging his body through the jungle when he heard shouts coming from a few meters away.

"Damn it!" Brewmaster said immediately, as Jingel in his berserk mode seemed to be overpowering Griz. It seemed that he performed a powerful attack on the grizzly bear, that made him unable to fight and caused him to lose the battle. Before the panda swordsman run at the forest, he turned his head and he looked at all that stuff, before he decided to interfere.

With a serious look on his face, the panda swordsman decided that it was about time for him to use one of his strongest techniques. Even if he was quite injured and this could make his wound open, Brewmaster did not have another choice. If he let Jingel like that, he could kill his comrade and erase his existence. It was about time for the captain to make his move.

As the panda looked at Jingel, he unseathed his sword and he pointed towards him with it. He said "Monkey-man... Look at me...". For a while, Jingel did not seem to respond and he kept attacking. However, as he took a glance of Brewmaster's stance and his intention to take him down, he looked at him and raised his fist prepared to attack. He jumped towards Brewmaster and moved his fist forward, launching a punch against the enemy.

Brewmaster sighed and he prepared his movement. He grabbed the sword with his right hand and as the human-monkey hybrid was performing his punch, Brewmaster closed his eyes and evaded the hit with grace by moving his body accordingly to dodge before he started slashing him slowly in the chest.

Jingel, who could feel the sword moving through his chest did not feel any damage, though. Something strange was going on. Surprised by the fact that his fist attack did not reach his enemy, as well as the fact that Brewmaster's attack did not seem to damage him, even if he fell it for a moment, he started moving with his feet backwards slowly.

"Retreating?" Brewmaster said as he started seathing his sword and whispered "One Sword Style - Brewmaster Melee Version...". At the moment the sword was seathed, something unexpected happened. A wound started appearing in the monkey's chest unexpectedly, at an extremely rapid rate. The wound was not a random wound. It was the mark that Brewmaster had just attacked him... A "B" shaped wound was formed on his chest and blood split all over the area out of Jingel's body, before he screamed in pain and fell unconscious. Brewmaster had just won the battle.

Then, Brewmaster looked towards Griz with tears on his face. Saddened by the fact that if he had interfered earlier, Griz would not be that injured, Brewmaster said "I'm sorry, Griz... It seems that I am not the kind of captain you deserve to have...". Afterwards, he started walking away, leaving Griz behind as he knew that it would be greater for Griz to live on the island, rather than travel with Brewmaster and risk getting killed the next time they face an enemy.

Brewmaster started running towards the jungle and he started searching for the remaining two pirates...
