Serious: The Duke Pirates Chapter 1: A crew explodes into reality

Unsure of what island he was on Antiko didn't care much as he was more focused on the job at hand, to be more precise the bank job at hand.

As alarm bells where ringing and people we're on the floor and Marines were on the way, Antiko was stood in the middle of a bank holding a large bag in his left hand whilst he was filling the bank with gas using his Death Breath technique, he could hear all of the people on the floor coughing violently as he continued pointing his finger at people who seemed to pose a threat. As Antiko backed out towards the door her heard a cocky voice he'd heard many times before "Antiko Remuss, we've been looking for you, now drop the bag and raise your hands, or we'll be forced to shoot." Antiko turned around and looked the Marine in the eye then dropped the bag. He didn't mind dropping the bag as he knew the gas in the bank would prevent them from entering for a while as they had no gas masks and when they did enter he would easily be able to disarm them as the gas made it fairly difficult to see clearly.

As two marines entered a few minutes later with gas masks they had some sea stone cuff with them, Antiko waited till the marines got closer then the familiar marine called out into the gas. "Be careful of him, he's a slippery bastard. We can't lose him here, we've been following him for the last 7 islands." Antiko's breathing could be heard, he saw the marines approach him from either side and knew how to escape, he threw both of his hands to the side pushing his palms up into the bottom of the gas masks knocking them off of their faces. As the marines stumbled back screaming a little from the pain of the gas mask being ripped from their face Antiko used his finger poison technique to fire poison into their mouths then fired a barrage of poison bullets towards the door. He then waited a little bit as he picked up the bag and ran out of the gas and burst through the door leaping over the many marines who we're lying on the ground to avoid his bullets.

Antiko could feel and hear bullets from the marines coming close to hitting him but he knew if he kept running it would be harder for them to hit him. He turned to looked back at the marines and wanted to attack them but knew none of them were the marine he was after, and continued running. Antiko saw that he ran to a dead end and looked around to see the only way to go was up. He looked behind him to see Marines all pointing gun at him. Antiko wasn't in the mood for killing these guys so instead he used his strength he'd built up from being a juggler when he was younger and threw himself into a handstand, he then pushed off the ground into a wall then with his feet kicked off of it propelling himself up high enough to reach the top of the wall. He then dropped over the other side and continued running to get away from the marines. "That cheeky bastard, right men, quick get around there we have to catch this guy, he has a 10,000,000 beli bounty on his head and he's becoming a nuisance for us all."

As Jerome, Nick, and Nate are walking on an unknown island they have landed on they hear something going on in town. As they start to check out the problem they encounter marines running towards the towns bank, as they approach the bank they see a man with a gas mask and a bag in his or her hand running away. Jerome and Nick's eyes start to sparkle because they had just seen a real life bank robber. As Jerome started to say "he needs to join our cre......" Nathan hits him and Nick on the head saying he is a bank robber what makes you think he wouldn't rob from us.! Without taking in anything that Nate had said Jerome and Nick took off running in the direction that the bank robber and the marines had gone.

When the get to spot to catch their breaths they here a loud bang. In an alley way they see the bank robber/gas mask guy(Antiko) on top of a trash can. They finally have time to talk to him, so they think, right before Jerome was about to introduce himself he gets interrupted by an annoying voice. Apparently the marines had backtracked around the corner to where Nick, Nate, Jerome, and Antiko were. the annoying voice had said "stop right there Antiko, we have you surrounded..." before the marine could finish Jerome yells "why cant i finish a darn sentence around anybody today!!!!!!" as he says that one marine flinches and fires his gun right at Jerome. Before the bullet could hit him quick flicking shadow appears and the bullet drops to the floor, Nate is seen sheathing his sword when this happens. "I could have stopped that" Jerome said, Nate replied with a nod and "sorry but i just couldn't resist." Jerome turns to the marines and yells out Impact Bazooka! some of the marines fly out of the alley way along with the one in charge. The rest of the marines start to fire their guns; there are clanks and flashes of metal on metal contact, then there is quiet before marines yell "retreat!!!!!!"

Antiko heard the familiar marine order his men and smiled beneath the mask with the bag of money still hanging from his body. Antiko encountered some marines as he landed on the other side. He saw them look at him then realised that these guys were about to attack him. Antiko awaited an attack from them as a sword was swung towards him he took a step to the side avoiding the blow then elbowed the marine in the face followed by letting his hand on that arm fall down and swing into the marines stomach. The marine let go of the sword and stumbled back as more marines came Antiko chose not to use his powers but his fists. As the next 3 marines headed towards him he caught the 1st ones sword between his hands and used his rebound technique to launch it back at himself, the blunt side of his sword hit him in the face and knocked him unconscious, the strength in his swing was powerful. Antiko then saw another marine swing for his head and he grabbed hold of his wrist as he ducked to avoid the sword, and redirected his momentum to the other side of the street as the last marine swung his fists at Antiko he caught his fist in his right hand and used his rebound technique again launching his own fist back at his face. The marine landed on his ass when Antiko looked down at him he saw he had a nose bleed then continued running again. He ran past a crowd of people and children and as he did so the familiar marine saw him and began chasing him. Antiko heard a few shots fired in his direction and saw the holes we're being shot in the bag of money. Antiko used his technique for getting up into high places again and managed to reach the top of a building shortly followed by the marine who missed and landed on his stomach he then got up and said to Antiko "You've become a massive pain in my ass boy!" Antiko stood still looking at the man waiting for him to attack like he always did.

The marine pulled out a small black ball and threw it at Antiko, the ball exploded into a smoke which temporarily blinded Antiko. the marine had disappeared and Antiko was struck at the back of the neck, he knelt down then felt hand pulling off his mask. Antiko turned to see the marine holding his mask and exhaled poison gas into his face before snatching the mask back and leaping from the building and hiding in a small dark alley way. the marine was left coughing on the roof top having slight trouble breathing.

As the commotion was going on, Jerome was making sure he always kept an eye on the bank robber. While Nick and Nate were taking care of the marines, Jerome started to look for the robber, while he was looking, a ball rolled near his feet ad before he could move it exploded in his face. While everyone was disoriented from the smoke bomb, Jerome heard voices up above, he decided to use geppou to get up there, once he did he saw a marine coughing and the bank robber running along the rooftops.

When the smoke dissipated Nick and Nate arrived on the rooftop as well; since Jerome and Nick knew who they wanted for the crew they went after the bank robber(who they dont know the name of) and Nate reluctantly followed. While they were following him, the crew could hear alarms sounding all around them. When they got to the towns center(where there was an open area with little to no buildings) they started scanning the area looking for the bank robber as they were scanning Nate darted off of the building they were on and started to chase a person with a mask...

Antiko sat down in the alley way and counted his money, it took him a while but he stacked the money up in 100s after counting it he placed the money back in the bag, he had exactly the same amount as his bounty 10,000,000 Beli. Antiko smiled then headed back out into the streets he sat at an outside cafe table and ordered a cocktail. As the cocktail was brought out to him he handed the waitress a 50 Beli note and told her to keep the change. He was loaded he did't mind letting her keep the change. Antiko lifted the bottom of his mask up and took a sip of it then lowered it again and said to himself quietly "Mmm tastes perfect." Antiko enjoyed the drink and watched as people in the streets wondered about in their everyday lives.

Antiko didn't like being chased but near it came with the territory and put up with it but as he had now counted his money and lost all those who were after him he wasn't too bothered.

The gang(Jerome, Nick, and Nate) find themselves in a crowded town square with the smell of alcohol, dust, and delicious food. Nate knew that he saw the bank robber go into an alley way, but he wasnt sure if he came back out, so Jerome decided he and nick should go in seperate directions of the alleyway to search for the bank robber. Nate offered to stay near the alleyway in case the robber returned.

As Nick was searching he found a sword shop and got distracted, for about ten minutes he was gone to the world looking at the masterfully crafted swords only wishing he had more than 1000 beli. As he left the shop he turned and he was looking directly across the town square into a cafe and locked eyes with a man in a gas mask. As he scans the are he sees Jerome and his brother cornering the cafe, at an instant they both nod and start walking a little quicker and start to laugh pretending they were just there to buy a drink. As Nick takes all of this in, he decides to jog over to the cafe and says "hey guys i found this cool swords shop!" knowing that the bank robber hadnt had a good look at them up close they act nonchalant about the entire situation.

Antiko saw the men looking at him and felt uneasy about them being around him he removed hi right glove and laid it on the table then put his feet firmly on the ground, lifted his mask and took another sip of his cocktail. He kept his eyes fixed on the group of men and began to quietly and bubble poison in his bare hand. It could not be seen bubbling away but if these men tried anything he would have no regrets what he did to them or this town. Antiko knew he had a high bounty and didn't care about having one as he knew a higher bounty would just mean more times to show of and exercise.

He found that when he was being chased it was a good chance to improve his strength without using his devil fruit powers as he had robbed banks long before he got the power. He was a talented and powerful man as it was without the power but now that he had it. Antiko was a difficult man to catch and beat. But he wasn't exactly a killer. he had never killed a person and had no intention of doing so either.

As the crew are ordering their drinks, Nate notices a glove on the bank robbers table, he quietly whispers to Jerome "i think he is on to us." As they all sat down near the bank robber they start to to crack jokes and look around the cafe, making sure that there were little to no civilians around. As they each take a sip of their drinks Jerome starts to lean his chair back and pretends to fall right near the bank robber.

Nick and Nate say "im sorry our friends can be a little bit to crazy sometimes, but not crazy enough to rob a bank and take on a group of a marines single handedly." Nate paused and took a sip of his drink, then Jerome spoke up and said "that is why we want you to join our crew!!!" Jerome said this with his hand on the bank robbers chair ready to do anything if the robber would make a move.

Antiko looked down at the man and then back at his drink uninterested in this proposition. He lifted his mask and drank some of his drink with his left hand. He then replied, "When you see my glove is on the table that is a warning not to disturb me and that I am indeed on to you merry men." Antiko then returned to his thoughts about what to do next as he had many more banks to rob and many more places to search for the man who killed his parents.

As Jerome listens, Nate shakes his head because he knew that Jerome didn't listen to anything, he knew by the look he had while listening to the bank robber. As Jerome stood up, he asked "so what's your name? I need to know the name of my new crew member!" nick nods with enthusiasm at the question.

Antiko looked at the man who was asking him his name and said, "I'm feeling in a good mood so I'm going to give you one more warning, this is the warning." Antiko grabbed hold of his arm with his right hand and let poison ooze over his entire arm, it was only scorpion venom which would paralyse the man very quickly and completely unharmed. Antiko then said, "I don;t wish to be troubled and if either of you decide to follow me I will not be so kind as to let you live. Antiko then finished his drink and walked away leaving these men behind. He did not care for joining their crew and didn't like having it forced upon him which is why he left and why chose to go to a different ton to rob those banks and hopefully draw out the Marine who killed his parents.

Before the bank robber leaves Jerome yells in Pain "well will you fight me? And if I win will you become part of my crew!" he groans and says "i want to be the strongest pirate and rule the grand line but to do that I need a strong and loyal crew! And I see that you are strong so I want you to be a part of my crew. You help me with my goal I will promise to try and not get in the way of yours or aid you which ever one you want."
Nate speaks up and says "but if he does beat you and you join our crew and you dare to betray us; I will make sure you will be dead the instant the thought enters your brain."

Antiko looked back at the men asking him to desperately join their crew and removed both of his gloves and placed them in his pockets and looked at the people looking back at him. Antiko had met some fools in his time but these guys just seemed ridiculous. You never ask a person to fight you just do it if your going to fight.

Antiko used his Death Armour technique on himself then lifted both of his arms and aimed them in the general direction of the paralysed man who asked him to join and the rest. He used his Finger Poison technique firing poison at the man paralysed which was a dead hit as he was unable to move and then launching more poison at the other two who.

"If your going to fight someone there's no point in asking to do it you just go a head and do it. That's the way the Marines play it so why should we play any different."

the poison makes a sound like splashing off of something metallic, you see Nick's sheath his sword and starts to try and treat Jerome. Nathan looks at the bank robber who had just tried to kill their captain and took out his sword and said "you dishonor my captain again, you are finished, better yet....."

Nate leaves an after image as he says "Ittoryu Iai: Shishi Sonson" he slashes at the bank robber and sheathes his sword, the slash starts to burn blue.
Nate says"i will say this once more because you are hard of hearing, Jerome has given you a chance to live without robbing banks, instead you can become an infamous pirate... but looking into your eyes that is not what you want, what you want is to kill somebody and my guess is its somebody in the marines."

Jerome screams again because of the pain and stands up, because his muscles are like pistons they release the poison from his body through his pores in the form of steam.

Antiko places one of his hands on either side of the blade and stops it the and leaves a large glob of poison on it which will make it so if anyone touches the sword they will begin to feel weaker and find it hard to breathe, then uses his Rediretion technique and redirects the attack into the ground by his foot. Antiko places his foot on the man's head and hold him in place then aims one of his fingers at him. "If you move I will coat your body with a poison to shut down your internal organs. Now I don't think you want that.

He then he looked at the captain and smirked seeing he has managed to move a little bit but not much.
"I do indeed want to kill someone but I have no intention of becoming a pirate and I don't care about respect or honour I do what I did in memory of my parents, they robbed banks and so shall I. I care not for sailing the seas especially since I have a devil fruit power the sea wouldn't be a good place for me." This Captain was still stiff and the venom would last for at least another 5 minutes as it was a small weak amount he had fired. (2 posts) No matter what. "If you want me to become a member of your pirate crew your going to have to offer me something I want instead of trying to beat me up and constantly bugging me." Antiko didn't like being forced to do things as it made him feel like he was being threatened.

Nick lunges at the bank robber giving Nate time to escape, Jerome yelled "STOP!" both Nick and Nate came back to his side and helped him up. Jerome was up and Nate shot the bank robber a dirty look, Jerome stops hyperventilating and says "ok what do you want? is there anything we can help you with to join our crew, if not take this poison out of me so i can kick yor gas mask wearing ass!" Nick is now the only one holding Jerome up because Nate had gone to wash off the poison from his sword, Nick is now watching every move the bank robber makes slowly.

Nick finally asks the bank robber, "can you at least tell us your name since you tried to harm us?" Jerome starts coughing and starts to shake Nick turns to him and Jerome puts his hand and says "its ok, a little bit longer and ill be fine" Nate is now standing behind the bank robber and glaring at him ready to kill if he makes any moves towards his brother or his captain...

Antiko was knocked back by the man who lunged at him and lifted his foot from the other man. He wasn't bothered though as he went to clean the poison from his sword and the other man seemed to be more worried about his captain.

"Theres no need to worry about getting him to a doctor I haven't used any poisons that will kill him. I only used poisons which will hopefully warn you enough to know that when I say I don't want to be bothered I mean it." Antiko approached the captain and placed his hand on his shoulder and whispered into his ear, "I'm going to remove all of the poison from your body but if you dare lay a finger on me I will make things much worse for you and very quickly." Antiko didn't like being threatened and loved to toy with people who thought they were so strong because when he managed to kick their ass it made him laugh inside as he found it funny that he didn't need to brag. "And there is nothing I want that your crew would help me achieve. the only thing I wish to achieve could only be done by myself and after seeing how strong you guys are in this little battle I doubt you could help me." Antiko then absorbed all the poison from the captain's body and back into his own body. The captain now would be completely fine and able to move with ease, Antiko then turned and began to walk away from the group of people picking up a newspaper from a table. The people on the atble looked at Antiko with fear after seeing what he was capable of there was no way they were going to argue with this man.

Nick and Nate were standing there laughing knowing that since the bank robber had insulted Jeromes power he deserved what was about to happen.

Jerome stood there with his hands out and ready to attack again. "he yelled you think youre such a badass with your poisons and such? try taking a dose of what i have in store for you!"

Antiko expected an attack and was ready for it he had his hands ready to take the attack and as the fist came hurtling towards him he simply used his Reflect technique. Grabbing this Captain's arm dead in his own he could feel there was extreme strength behind this attack and he realised this guy was stronger than he'd first though but not strong enough to take him down yet. Antiko then flicked his fingers open using the force which had been directed at him back at the captain who'd thrown his fist towards him so daringly. "I'll admit you have a good amount of strength but sadly still not enough to beat me." Antiko smiled then instead of using his poison he continued, "Your stronger than I first imagined you would be, whats your name?"

Jerome speaks up and said "my name is Jerome what is yours? IMPACT CHAIN GUN" Jerome kicks the bank robber at high speeds with kinetic energy.

Nick and Nate sit down and order two more drinks and plate of chicken, excited to see there captain and the bank robber fight.

Antiko felt these many impacts dig into his body and took all of the hits, after feeling the pain he smiled. Antiko had managed to take the attacks and remain standing he stood up straight and wiped down his body from all the dirt which would be over his body then looked at Jerome. "So your names Jerome, well your not very good at understanding when a person is coming around to an idea are you? If I wanted to seriously hurt you just before I could have done so but I have chosen not to, instead I chose to reflect your attack, which usually states something along the lines of I'm not trying to hurt you despite how much damage we both know I could do. My names Antiko Remuss, you've probably seen my bounty poster around the place but would've never guessed it was me since the picture is what I look like under this mask. And I barely ever remove this mask, for the obvious reason though." Antiko walked over to Jerome, "Do you know Enies Lobby?"

"sorry i had to get my licks in, and plus i was just using my fruit powers not my full capabilities i didnt want to make you look like an amateur." Jerome clears his throat "well nice to meet you Antiko, and yes i have heard of Enies lobby, why do you ask?"

"I'm allot stronger than you know kid and that's fine the kicks didn't hurt enough to take me down, although you are stronger than I thought." Antiko then looked through the paper he had picked up and stopped on a page. "I ask you about Enies Lobby because I hear the man I am looking for will be going there very soon and I want to kill him, he is responsible for the murder of my parents and he is also hunting me down. I want to storm Enies Lobby and take him down. Although I don't think you are strong enough to storm it, can I ask what do you want to accomplish?"

"Rule the grand line and if things work out become the Pirate king." Jerome smiles and replies "and whatever you say about the str

Antiko looked at the guy and thought to himself this guy didn't look like he could survive the GrandLine and decided he would need his help. "Ok well you seem very determined and like nothing is going to stop you so I guess........I'll join your crew for now but only if you help me with what I want." Antiko looked at the crew so far and realised that he might be one of the strongest members aboard the crew as his powers made things quite easy for him to do. While the others seemed more like skilled swordsmen and things. Antiko was an ex-circus performer and bank robber so he had a few skills under his belt.
