Serious: The Clockwork Pirates Chapter 3 Beware the Devil's fruits (This Thread is now closed)

Molly and Victor stood back to back as they were being surrounded. Victor's expression was one of absolute calm. Molly, however, looked a little worried. After all, her brother had never been all that strong in the past and despite the fact that he was holding his own, she was still concerned that his other, less-obvious condition might act up soon. He hadn't had a shot in a while...

"I'll go high?" Victor suggested as their enemies made their move.

Molly snapped out of her revelry and nodded, saying: "And I'll go low."

They moved as one: Victor jumped over one of the incoming swords and planted his foot on the blade that had been slashed high. Molly ducked under the first sword on her side and thrust her hammer forward to block the low-slashing blade. She thrust her hammer with such force that she managed to catch the sword on it and the blade was embedded in the hammer's wood. Victor then kicked off of the sword and flipped into the faces of the two Marines whose blades he had just dodged. Both of his legs shot out, his feet aiming at their faces. Molly swung her hammer up in an attempt to both disarm the Marine whose sword was stuck in her hammer as well as strike the Marine whose sword she had just ducked.

Molly & Victor

Watching Victor and Molly fight side by side and easily disarm these Marines Night Light wasn't too surprised, these Marines were dispensable and the was nothing special about them. The Marine which Victor landed on was dropped as his foot made contact, the other Marine dodged it and fell backwards stumbling, he fell and landed on his arse. The Marine who'd been kicked in the face felt his teeth spill out on to the ground and knelt down looking up at him, he removed a small pistol ready to shoot Victor with.

As for Molly the Marines whose sword got stuck in the large wooden hammer tried desperately to pull it out, but failed and were stripped of their swords as the hammer was swung upwards. Letting go of their swords both Marines were shocked, this woman was so strong and stepped back momentarily shrieking. One grabbed a pair of brass knuckles from his pockets and the other tried reaching for his sword as it was all he was good at.

NL=(Night Light) smirked watching these foolish Marines and even more foolish brother and sister attempt to help a break in into Lunakirk Holding Prison. It was a small prison which held prisoners until they were ready to be moved to Impel Down, the worlds greatest prison. Nl gripped his hands behind his back and cracked his back, he was planning on having some serious fun with these two. He had planned to have especially more fun with the woman who looked very strong.

Kyren and Mina

Kyren found himself pulled back from the threshold of entrance to this room by Mina and smiled at her. She was proving to be a great crew member and he liked her. He heard what she had to say and knew she was right, they had to find out where his crew were. Kyren nodded then replied, "Your right but I don't think we have time to find out where they are." interrupting him Kyren found the crumbled wall which had temporarily blocked off his entrance was being cleared.

As blocks moved and were thrown to the side by fairly large hands, Kyren realized this must be one of the 1/4 giants. Sealor quickly threw the rocks aside and launched a slash down at him, panicking he wasn't sure what to do other than run. Unsure about Mina's safety instead he remained vigilant and decided he would protect her. Kyren gripped his scalpels and used, Sticking Scalpel as the scalpel lodged itself in Sealor 's wrist Kyren smirked knowing where he had thrown it would have hit a nerve causing him to release the sword, which he did. As the large sword plummeted towards Kyren he simply pushed it aside as it approached him.

If this sword had been a proper giants then he would've been screwed but since this was simply a 1/4 giant and his sword was only just bigger than a few normal sword it was easily pushed aside.

Kyren smiled then looked back over his shoulder and asked Mina, "How about we start a riot in this place, free everyone and we'll be bound to find our crew."
Our crew?!
Did he really just say that?
It seemed Kyren's mind was already made up, he had mentally already added her to his crew.

Befor she could reply Kyren then dashed towards Sealor 's feet spinning his one remaining scalpel and used it to slash through the Achilles tendant.
One followed by the second and Kyren noticed his wound had torn open and he was bleeding a little.

He also realized he was out in the open stood just beneath Sealor whose ankles were emptying themselves of blood. Rapid rifle fire was let loose as it rushed up to greet Kyren's flesh, unable to perform an effective Bullet Slash Kyren gulped.
Sealor fell to his knees and caught himself before impacting the ground. As he feel Kyren was momentarily blocked by the 1/4 giant's large body. "Thanks buddy." Kyren said as the man grunted then screamed as bullet fire torn into his back.
"CEASE FIRE!" called out a voice and the gunfire did so.

Kyren crept up to Sealor 's hand and pulled his scalpel from his wrist, blood spurted out as all Marines, Warden Percy and the other 1/4 giant looked on at Kyren's newly formed barricade/Sealor corpse.
The bullets had ripped through Sealor 's internal organs and caused him to loose a heavy amount of blood. A large puddle formed filling the spaces in between the bricks.
"One big guy down. One to go"

"Our crew?"

This particular choice of possessive pronoun surprised Mina. A small part of her felt that it was quite presumptuous of him to simply categorize her as one of his crew. However, that small part of her couldn't really hold a candle to the extremely delighted part of her, rejoicing that Kyren already considered her a member of his crew.
However, she managed to swallow back her excitement and condense it for the sake of being as Kyren addressed her.

"A riot?" Mina smirked. "Huh, sounds like fun."
She pulled a fresh bullet magazine from her garter and reloaded her gun with deft fingertips, shuddering a little at the sight of the 1/4 giants.
Even though the odds suddenly seemed quite stacked against them, Kyren managed to skilfully (though with quite a bit of carnage) make a dead human shield of the Sealor.

In the ensuing panic and horror over the gore, Mina nodded to Kyren. "I'll take out number two. You know what they say."
She drew her gun into position, closing one eye in a wink to take aim and then firing quickly. "The bigger they are, the harder they fall!

Acceleration Axis Shot!"

One bullet left the barrel of the gun and was followed quickly by another, which hit into the first bullet to quicken its speed. If it successfully hit the forehead of the second 1/4 giant, it would obliterate his head- turning his skull into mere shards of bone and dregs of flesh upon impact.
Mina moved back over to Kyren, suddenly aware that his wound was torn open and that he needed cover on that side. She didn't point this out aloud however, lest the guards notice and deliberately take advantage of Kyren's open wound.

Victor ducked underneath the pistol's gaze and spun, lashing out with his foot at the hand that was holding the gun. He was not fast enough to avoid bullets at his current level so he needed to disarm his opponent first before finishing them off. It was annoying, but it seemed that he was unable to defeat an opponent with a single attack. He would have to work on that during the coming days.

Molly was a little bit more straight forward with her approach. She merely pulled her hammer back and swung it at the two Marines from the side, trying to beat them both in one stroke.

"Grand Slam!" she announced.

Molly & Victor

The Marines dealing with Molly were injured badly, the one who reached for his sword was hit in the face and was shocked as he felt a shock wave of pain crash through his skull. The Marine fell to the floor unconscious whilst the other one was knocked to the side and smirked dribbling blood. He stood back up and tried throwing a punch at Molly even though his ribs were in such excruciating pain.

The man aiming at Victor fired a shot and missed as Victor ducked as his foot came quickly spinning to his face the Marine dropped the gun and fell to the floor and spat out a tooth as his face came into contact with the ground.

The other Marine who was sitting on his arse stood up and withdrew a small knife in each hand and lunged at Victor spinning as he spun he slashed high then low then high as he tried to swipe Victor's legs to knock him to the ground then tried to stab his knives down into him.

NL raised his hand and lazily pointed his index finger at Molly Victor and the Marines, a sudden shine of light sprouted from his finger as NL muttered, "Sun Beam" A strong thick beam of white light quickly fired from his finger and crashed into the ground directly between Molly and Victor.

Kyren & Mina

Feeling his blood dribble from his wound Kyren turned to see Mina fire a few shots at the other 1/4 giant and smirked as he saw the 1/4 giant's skull cave in and his forehead gush with blood which spurted out as the man wobbled forward, backwards then finally fell forwards landing face first on the ground.

Kyren was happy to hear that Mina was up for a riot and planned on snatching the keys from a guard in here when he'd dealt with them all. He took a deep breath then peered over the top of the corpse himself and Mina were hiding behind.

10 Marines 5 from either side of the room along side the cells, the 10 Marines ran towards the corpse and 6 of them lined up and aimed at the giant Kyren and Mina were hiding behind. 2 marched around with their rifles to aim at Kyren and Mina the other 2 ran around to aim at Mina.

As Kyren saw them aiming his guns he gulped and tried to react before they opened fire. Kyren stood up with his scalpels in his hands and smiled, he hoped Mina would take care of the two aiming at her. The Marines remained trained on Kyren as he sliced his right hand down quickly as he could manage.

His scalpel tore through the corpses's skin and blood spurted out in the direction of the Marines and over Kyren's side. the Marines in front fired a bullet towards Kyren through the spraying of blood. Kyren then leapt forward as the blood sprayed blinding the Marines. As Kyren appeared through the blood he dug his scalpels into the Marines necks and tore them out side ways cutting their wind pipes, jugulars and many other veins.

Covered in blood Kyren couldn't tell which was his and which was the marines or the giants or if he'd been hit due to the adrenaline masking his pain.

Hexi was using all his strenght for carrying the robot into town, it was extremely weird how he had got involved with a gigantic robot. As he walked, he though of the weather: what things could he not control yet? Between this things there was one that was simple. And this was the fact that he couldnt create mist!

Hexi proposed himself to add that function to the Weather Guitar as soon as he could, but he was carrying this machine... Until a man started calling him by the name of kid.

"Hi, what's going on?" -Hexi answered, not knowing what to say.- "Are you looking for something from me?"

Hexi & Wilfred

The engineer walked over to Hexi and stood looking down at the clockwork built creature which was being carried by this winged boy.

"I see you've got some kind of mechanical, clockwork man there. What is he some sort of decoration for the festival?"

The engineer smiled then offered his hand to Hexi and said, "I'm Jones, well my friends call me Jones, you can call me Jones too. My names actually Willis but keep that secret under your hat, don't tell no one."

Kyren & Mina

As the blood dripped from Kyren's body and the two Marines he's just taken care of laid on the floor dead, Kyren felt sorry for taking their lives but it was either them or him and over his crew he'd choose his own life.

The Marines who'd run around to Mina's side had their attention drawn straight away from Mina to Kyren when they saw him lash out and kill the other to who had ran around his side. They were shocked by the fearlessness of Kyren.
While his back was turned one of them opened fire.
The shot would've been a head shot if the Marine wasn't shaking from the fear of the bloody Clockwork Captain. It amazed him how this man didn't have a bounty yet.

As Kyren's flesh was torn into by a bullet he looked behind him and threw one of his scalpels towards the man who'd fired then spun around to his left with a scalpel still in hand. The Marine who'd been hit by the scalpel had it sticking out of his hand and he had dropped his rifle. The other was firing shots at Kyren which he slashed quickly with his one remaining scalpel. As he reached the man. Kyren used his Signature Slash cutting a large letter K spreading over both of the men Kyren's scalpel cut deeply tearing through flesh and knocking his other scalpel out.

The men fell to the floor in pain dripping of their own blood and not moving, Kyren too fell to the floor and caught himself then leant against the corpse again. Blood trickled out from his shoulder where a bullet had embedded itself. His breathing was deeper as he was in pain and he sat beside Mina thinking of what his next move would be to get to level 2.

Warden Percy watched via transponder snail as Kyren sat bleeding next to the ivory hair woman with guns.
"I have a positive ID on Kyren Anter the Captain of the Clockwork Pirates accomplice, her name is Mina Layton, she has no bounty as of yet, but is the daughter of two former pirates." Percy's eyes flicked from screen to screen looking at the other levels.

Level 2 was fine all the criminals in cells all seemed a little reckless due to the gunfire from upstairs but fine.

level 3 was absolutely fine nothing out of the ordinary happening there except for the upgraded security. Percy then sat forward trying to find his coffee whilst watching the screens till he heard a clash and felt something searing hot burning into his lap.

Over the tannoys a screaming could be heard, "AAAARGH! Its burns, stop it stop it AARAGH!" The Marines paused for a moment laughing a little bit at the s creaming from Warden Percy, even Kyren laughed a little be fore realising this would be the perfect moment to strike.

Kyren looked at Mina and asked, "Ready to take out the last of these guys?"

Hexi looked weirdly at the man that named himself Jones... Hexi didn't have a hat, and obviously he didnt understanda the human slang. He also asked about the thing full of clock parts in his hands... Hexi didn't even know what it is, but it had to be some kind of robot or machinhe.

"Noo... it's not any decoration, I didn't even know there was a festival. I was just fishing and I got this thing out of the ocea, I dont really know what it is!" -Hexi took Jones' hand and shook it strongly. -"My name is Hexi, please help me with this thing... maybe someone knows how it works."

Jones felt the kid Hexi had a strong hand shake and smiled then nodded to him and said, "Your not from round here are you boy? Everyone round here knows about the festival. The Eclipse of the moon festival. Well that bucket of bolts you got there on your back, if it isn't a decoration then it may be some sort of cyborg or robot. I can take a look at it for you if you want?"

Jones looked at Wilfred with curiosity and interest, he hadn't seen something like this before but would be interested to start fiddling around with him. Jones had already pulled out a spanner and started trying to find the hatch to open Wilfred.

Jones laid Wilfred on the ground and realised there was no hatch. He simply discovered that the glass body and head could be slipped up and off over the insides. Jones removed the glass from his head and began tinkering around with the cogs, he noticed some had been knocked out of place and slotted them back. He noticed a brain and swallowed hard ignoring it.

Then as he got to work on the body he noticed more of the same only with a heart and got to work knocking them into place. Jones finished pushing all cogs back into place.
Nothing happened.

Jones tapped a cog which slowly began spinning along with all the others. Jones stepped back and smiled at Hexi.
"Well hows that this big clockwork fella seems to be getting back to normal now, although I think he's some sorta mechanical human hybrid. Hes got a brain and heart in there."

Molly lowered her hammer and caught the Marine's fist in her hand. She held him there easily and glanced over her shoulder at Victor.

Victor came around out of spin to find himself facing the Marine he had kicked earlier. The young man flipped back and landed on his hands to dodge the first attack. The second, lower one, cut into his right arm and he dropped back so that he landed on his feet before jumping straight up in the air over the final cut.

Molly smiled. Her brother was doing better than she could have imagined. If only she had known that he had gotten this strong...and when had he even done it in the first place? She had never seen him training. Usually he just sat around their home, trying to think up new inventions to try out.

Suddenly, out of the corner of Molly's eye there was a beam of light. Though the beam might have missed Molly and Victor before, when Victor had moved backwards earlier, he had landed right in its path.

"Get away!" Molly shouted, shoving the Marine in front of her away from her. She jumped backwards, slamming into Victor and knocking him forward towards the knife wielder just as Victor had been about to try to kick him in the face again. The light beam struck the ground beneath Molly and she disappeared from sight in the resulting explosion.

Mina looked to Kyren, noticing his heavy breathing and quickly blasting away any marine who tried to get any closer to them both.
She grinned to him, reassuringly. "Don't worry. I'm ready as I'll ever be to blow these guys to Kingdom come..." She flicked her head in the direction of the marines as she loaded up another magazine of bullets into her pistol.

Kyren's courage was inspiring. His passion for the safety his crew and his ruthlessness when dealing with the marines were also formidable forces, not to be misunderstood.
Hell, the strength of his stomach also silently fascinated Mina as she watched him sitting there, half-coated in blood, writhing in silent pain.

She quickly turned to the remaining Marines and then looked back at Kyren. "Ok. Here's the deal. I like you as a person and I trust you, Captain Kyren. So I'll take a risk. I'm going to fire at these last few guys and I want you to head up to level two to stir up those prisoners...don't worry about me..." Mina winked. "I'll be fine. I just don't want you risking getting any more hurt. Your crew won't be happy if they have to carry their captain out of here, after all..."she added, laughing a little. "Now's a good time to get moving..."

And with that, she stood, opening direct fire at every marine on the building floor from behind the cover of the 1/4 giant corpse.

"Back up! Back up! Aaarrg-"
The remaining guards on the floor were in a pinch. Mina was too quick for them to take aim and Sealor was absorbing all of the bullets. Most of the guards tried to retreat to the stairway but were easily picket off by Mina.

The last bazooka unit on the level, the one who blasted the entranceway earlier, had just finished loading his round. Crouching behind the corpse of the 1/4 giant Mina shot from across the room, he took aim. Thinking his move through for one more second, the man tensed up his finger and pulled the trigger.

A bazooka round shot across the room. For the most part, it flew straight... right towards the corpse of Sealor. The round exploded on contact, sending his dead body flying back toward the entryway. Mina and Kyren were now left in plain sight.

By now there were about 6 guards left. Two swordsmen hid behind the body of the 1/4 giant with the bazooka while the three remaining rifless stood at the stairway to the next level.

"Finish them off here!"

The final volley of bullets flew. Having deemed Mina the greater threat of the two, the three bullets were shot straight at her. The swordsmen leaped out from behind their cover and rushed at Kyren with their swords ready to stab him. The bazooka ran to the stairs and headed downward to the second level.

Molly & Victor

Due to the explosion of the light beam which had been fired by NL the Marines caught up in the fight with Molly and Victor where knocked aside. the ones facing off against Victor felt battered and bruised whilst fighting him but when the blast came it was enough to knock them unconscious. The two fighting Molly were shocked but not surprised by Nl's attack.

One of them expected it as for the other the one whose fists were being held by Molly he didn't expect it and the explosion which landed short of his feet caused his fist to echo backwards into his own face and knock himself out. The Marine who had felt a wave of pain surge through his head had been blown away and slowly sat back up to attack Molly and Victor once more. As he got up he was knocked straight back down again so quickly by another smaller beam of light which pierced straight through his chest.

Night Light had fired this beam as he walked towards both Molly and Victor his finger was smoking and blew the smoke away.
"These to are mine." NL smiled to himself looking at both brother and sister through evil eyes whilst his mind flooded with evil thoughts.

Kyren & Mina

Kyren listened to what Mina had to say and was glad to hear her calling him Captain but what made him happier was that he heard she liked him. She said she was going to trust him and take a risk which made him feel even better. After hearing what she wanted to do he felt worried about her before she even stood up. He knew it was for his crew but didn't want her to get hurt, but when she winked at him he felt weak.

Kyren saw Mina stand and begin firing without fear, he shook of her spell she cast on him with her beauty and peeked over the top to see a bazooka round heading his way. The round caused Sealor's body to slide backwards towards the entrance. Kyren leapt over the body as it slid towards the entrance. Seeing bullets flying towards Mina and two swordsmen leap out at him trying to stab him Kyren clenched his scalpels tightly fuelled with anger, Kyren spun around to the right avoiding the swords being thrusted for his torso.

As he spun he used both of his scalpels to slice through the top platelet of both of their spines as he stopped spinning he sliced down their spines further crippling them as both guards fell to the floor in agony.

Next he wanted to deal with the remaining guards, Kyren dashed towards them letting blood spill form his body, he was still covered in it but some of it though.

As Kyren approached the remaining 3 fired quickly at Kyren as he was quickly approaching. Kyren ducked the 1st few bullets which came his way then used Bullet Slice on the next round of bullets.

As the bullets fell to the floor split in half the guards reloaded their guns as quickly as they could manage and Kyren took this opportunity to looked around level 1 for his crew. He figured Mina could handle herself here on level 1 at the moment.

Seeing no one from his crew Kyren suddenly heard an uproar from the prisoners in the cells at the sides, all begging to be freed and even some trying to flirt with Mina. Kyren didn't like these people flirting with her but since they were in their cages and she was out here he figured she could handle it.

Kyren rushed to the stairs to level 2 leaving Mina to deal with the guards, as he reached the foot of level 2 on his own Kyren looked out to see a long corridor with walls either side with 3 door ways on each side. A 2 cells were behind each archway and it looked pretty much clear and empty.
No guards, no nothing yet.

Te bazooka man had ran down here but nothing could be seen except a trail of blood in the centre of the room trailing off to through one of the door ways.

Hexi & Wilfred

As Wilfred's brain and heart had been reconnected and his cogs began spinning, he stood up to his full height of 8 foot and placed his glass head and body back over the top of his cogs. Wilfred the looked at Hexi and Jones.

Wilfred was surprised to see these people as the last thing he remembered seeing was the sea, in his posh accent which he had Wilfred asked,
"Excuse me good gentle men but could I ask either of you where I am who the both of you are and how I got here? the last thing I remember seeing was the sea before I...fell unconscious, I didn't know I still could do that."

Trake looked at his hands. The walls had been stronger than he thought. Gashes in his hands were just healing, his knuckles still slightly bleeding. There were scuff marks on the dirty cell wall where Trake had tried to punch his way out. He got up.
"There's no point in giving up now," he stated rather dejectedly. He dragged himself over to the same area of wall and lifted his fist. As his fist touched the wall a small blast resounded in his ears. He looked at his fist, confused that the bleeding fists had created such a loud noise. Then it dawned on his underslept mind that the sound was a gunshot. Suddenly he heard shouts and the sound of fighting. He ran to the bars of his cell and saw the battle between two people, probably pirates, fighting the guards. He joined in the cacophony of prisoners reaching for the two people. The pair disposed of the guards and the male ran up the stairs.
Obviously they were looking for someone.
He shouted and screamed-trying to get the remaining one's attention with the rest of the cellmates.

As Kyren saw the blood on the floor he walked towards it carefully keeping an eye out for anything. As he crouched closer to the blood on the ground Kyren looked to the right and saw it trailing off to through the 2nd archway. Kyren looked left then stood up and followed the trail with scalpels still in hand. As he walked in through the archway he saw two cells of prisoners who looked at Kyren like they had never seen a person before.

"You-you-youbastard!" called out a voice from between the cells. Kyren looked towards the voice to see the man with a bazooka kneeling on the ground with blood gushing from his forehead and missing an arm. His left shoulder had blood everywhere and Kyren felt sorry for this man. He wanted to help him.

Kyren approached the man slowly as he aimed the bazooka at Kyren, "I'm not going to hurt you."
"You fuckin, you did this to me."
"No I didn't"
"You are responsible for making me run down here! You were going to slaughter us all!"
"No I wasn't"
"LIES!" The man pulled the trigger and a large explosive projectile was launched from the bazooka towards Kyren.

Kyren tilted his head to the right and the projectile missed instead firing out under the archway and smashing into the roof of level 2 floor of level 1. The explosion broke the ground beneath one of the cells and a cell of 12 prisoners no had an entrance they all fell to the ground as rubble from the floor came crashing down landing on the prisoners.

"Sorry about this." Kyren said ignoring the blast as he quickly sliced across the man's neck. The man's body went limp and dropped his bazooka. When he looked back he could see the rubble setting and 3 prisoners trapped under the rubble. the rest rushed off with minor cuts and bruises heading up to level 1. Kyren rushed over to see how the prisoners were and hoped he could get some help.
One of the men had died as rubble crushed his organs.

Kyren pushed a rock aside to free one of the prisoners who was tall and skinny, as he pushed it aside the prisoner got up looking at Kyren in fear. Its was understandable since he was covered in allot of blood. The prisoner ran off in fear up to level 1 and the exit which was covered by Night Light.

Kyren looked around for other prisoners to see one who looked like a young boy he holstered his scalpels and placed his fingers under the rock and tried lifting it.

As he tried lifting this rock a loud squawk was heard from the other end of the room which couldn't be seen, it echoed from wall to wall and up the stairs and the hole.
It was loud and almost deafening.
The sound of stomping followed by stronger and stronger vibrations as whatever it was got closer and closer.

Kyren looked out for what it was but could see nothing in the darkness and continued straining to lift this large rock. As he raised the rock he eventually got the rock up and off of the boy and threw it aside. Kyren then sat down breathing heavy and looked down at the boy, he asked, "You........alright?"

Lieutenant Gin picked up his Den-den mushi and brought it to his face.
"Warden Percy, are you there?"
"Oh, yes lieutenant. Is anything wrong?"
"I hope you have a perfectly good explanation for what is happening on level two. My men and I can hear the ruckus from the third floor."
"Well the intruders seemed to have made it past the guards on the first floor and have moved down to the second level. But please don't worry about it. They will never make it down to your level because you see, we have some special guards on that level and they are hungry for intruders if you know what I mean..."

A stomping sound could be heard through the ceiling of the third level. Gin took a look upward and saw small clouds of dust falling down. Whatever was above them, it was big.

"Very well, Warden Percy. If I am not mistaken, Captain Antler has some crew mates locked on the second floor. Make sure they do not get released or there will be trouble... if you know what I mean."
"..."

Trake shouted, waiting for someone to help him. Then.
An explosion erupted beneath his feet, he fell and blacked out.
When he came back to reality, he could hear shouts. He felt a heavy weight above him.
His brain pounded in his head. He opened his eyes to find himself staring at a grey surface. He tried to wriggle away.
He was trapped.
Suddenly a loud squawk attacked his ears-even though he was under a rock.
He lay there silently-taking labored breaths as his lungs tried to cope with the added force of the rock. Then scuffles were heard.
Trake held his breath as this may be the creature that made the blood-curdling sound. He readied himself to make a quick escape.
He clenched his teeth as the rock was heaved to the side, but looked up delightedly to see a human face.
"Can't take chances though," he thought to himself.
Trake dragged himself into a seated position. He sat there, body heaving as he drank in the dusty air of the 2nd floor. He realised his savior was seated across from him, covered in blood-but that did not startle the boy as his clothes were strewn with a good helping of blood as well. He looked up to see the space where his cell had been.
Then his brain started functioning again. He was in a prison, he had just been watching people fight their way through guards and now one of those people had just dragged him from his crushing death. The least he owed this guy was coupon for a free drink at the bar or something.
"You........alright?" asked the man in front of Trake.
Trake gave off a hoarse chuckle that followed by a coughing fit;"Never been better. I've met some crazy guys before but what possessed you to save me? Unless you are drunk of course."

Kyren looked at the boy and held up a finger to signal wait, as he caught his breath. Kyren looked towards the darkness as the stomping got closer and closer till a large lino paw stepped out from the darkness and crashed into the ground. Kyren looked at it shocked and swallowed feeling his body freeze over with fear of what stood in his way next.

The he looked back at the kid and offered a hand, "I helped you cause I'm just a nice guy like that. Names Kyren and I'm only here to break out my crew who are being held here. How would you like to give me a hand?"

Kyren offered the kid his hand hoping he would shake it quickly then remembered he had to find his crew and continued, "If your going to help me first things first. I would like you to give me a hand beating whatever these creatures are then we can free my crew if any of them are on this floor."

From the darkness a large beak slipped out and opened letting out a large squawk painfully filling the room. Kyren looked at how high up the beak was and then knew what these creatures in his way were.

Griffins.

Trake took the hand and quickly and used it to help himself up.
"Hey, Kyren-I'll try but I won't be much help. I can't seem to use my...erm...techniques on this griffin. For some reason the cuffs are restricting me-but I can still use my fists."
Trake looked at the griffin, then looked at his bloodied fists.
"Looks like I'll need more than my fists," he whispered to himself.
He ducked behind a rock quickly, found a detached a rusting lead pipe from it's frame and fell in behind Kyren, waiting for orders.

"Don't worry Trake its nice to meet you."
The griffin squawked as saliva spat out towards him, Kyren then turned to face the griffin.

Since Trake used Kyren's hand to help him get up he got a gauge on his weight and realised he was light, and probably easy enough to throw. Kyren grabbed hold of the cuffs which bound Trake's hands together and rushed forwards dragging him as he said, "I'm going to chuck you at the griffin's head and I want you to attack it, do as much damage as you possibly can Trake. I'm going to deal with its underbelly."

The griffin was so big that the top of his head kept banging against the roof and Kyren hoped Mina was safe on her own up there and remembered back to what she had told him. He thought about Molly and Victor but considering she was stronger than he had previously thought he figured, she could handle herself and I'm sure Victor can do too.

Kyren felt his shoulder hurt a little as he used his forward momentum and a little jump he did towards the griffin to throw Trake up towards the head of the creature. Kyren had read about moments in people's lives where they could gain forms of super human strength and as never more sure of the truth in it until now. He could feel his body was giving up on itself due to the amount of blood he was loosing through his bullet wound and his other wound where the stitching had come off.

Was he dying? Kyren shook his head as his breathing became heavier, no he wasn't dying. Just becoming tired, yeah that was it tired. Kyren stood there watching Trake fly up to the griffin's head letting himself get his breath back. Kyren removed his scalpels and thought to himself, I may need some better weapons than these scalpels. He shook his head and said, "I'll just learn better techniques."

Kyren then ran towards the under belly of the griffin, as he was sweating and wet from the blood still he ran and slid along the ground under the crouching griffin and extended his arms with the scalpels and tried slicing through the griffin's thick under belly.

As he reached the other end of the griffin Kyren looked back to see his scalpels hadn't done enough damage and he would need to either put more strength into it or attack it elsewhere.

Trake never had time to argue. By the time his mouth had been able to open-he was a meter from the griffin's head. Adrenalin rushed through his body as he hit the creature with enough force for it to stagger backwards a few paces. The boy almost lost the bar but managed to grab it at the last moment. He turned and swung the bar into the griffin's head. He stood on its beak attacking its face and trying not to fall off at the same time.
He stood there for a clear minute before the griffin threw the boy into the air and snapped at him with its beak.
He swung around and tried to kick the griffin's beak away in mid-air but only succeeded in getting his leg stuck in the griffin's mouth.
Pain shot up his leg.
He took wild swings at the beak but was swung wildly and lost his pipe in the process.
He kept struggling as the griffin tried to devour its prize.

The griffin shook Trake from side to side in his mouth then tilted his head upwards trying to swallow Trake whole in his mouth. Kyren saw he needed to injure this creature. Kyren stabbed his scalpels into the under belly of the griffin using all of his strength, blood dribbled out and down his arm and spilled out onto the floor.

The griffin squawked loudly from the pain and opened its mouth widely still trying to swallow Trake.

Kyren placed both scalpels into the wound and used his strength to tear the wound apart and make it bigger. As the wound got bigger the screaming from the griffin got louder and more painful to listen to. Kyren held both his scalpels in one of his hands and dragged them both the same way tearing the wound open bigger and bigger causing more blood to spill out on to the ground below.

The griffin's lion half was getting sliced up pretty badly by Kyren and bleeding badly it was in intense pain and screaming into Trake's face violently. Removing his scalpels from the griffin's stomach he rushed to the back of the griffin's back feet to slash his ankles. The griffin was stomping his front paws down on the ground hard due to the pain.

Kyren drew his scalpels and used his Cross Slice technique on the griffin's ankle hoping that after a few slashes he would get through its thick skin and injure the creature.

The griffin had almost fully swallowed Trake. All that was left were his sea-stone cuffed hands hanging out of the mouth. His left leg's pain was slowly subsiding due to the adrenalin coursing through his veins. The griffin squawked loudly as Kyren slashed at its body. It jerked its head back to swallow Trake and closed its extremely sharp beak as hand were going through. If his finger nails had been longer he would have been given a free trim-but instead all the cuffs snapped. Trake lay in the mouth for a split second, then executed Spring Board kicking his legs with great pain into the beak and trying to shoot himself out the back of the neck.

The griffin felt Trake fire into his mouth towards the back of his neck and moved hid tongue in place then slammed his tongue down to the bottom of his mouth slamming Trake to the bottom of his mouth too.

Kyren managed to tear through the ankle of the griffin and saw the griffin dip his head with his mouth wide open squawking in pain. Kyren saw the griffin in pain and was surprised he wasn't yet going down. Kyren wasn't sure what else he could do other than slice at his other foot. The griffin knelt down on the ground as his back right foot was injured and tried kicking Kyren with his other foot. Kyren saw one of the feet shoot past him and crash into the wall behind him. Kyren saw this as an opportunity to to attack his ankle since it was sticking out and not under his body.

Kyren jumped up and landed on the griffin's leg which was slowly drawing back as it drew back he made his way quckly to the ankle of the griffn and began using Slice n Dice this attack would hollow out his ankle and if the griffin tried moving he would simply fall to his knees and not be able to move.

Trake squirmed from under the tongue as the griffins mouth opened and jumped out of the beak, landing hard on the ground with a roll. He turned to see Kyren attacking the griffin's legs.
Trake heaved himself to his feet, his leg still pouring with blood.
He stumbled into a run that was aimed at the griffin. When he had closed the gap considerably, he launched himself at the creature's mid-section using the technique Spring Punch.
