Serious: The Clockwork Pirates Chapter 2: Feelin Hungry (This thread is now CLOSED)

stopping in its tracks deer turned its head, seeing the two pirates he got a sense of dread and feared the worst. but instead of what he thought they would say the one who seemed to be in charge asked him "can i help you." wondering why he would ask an animal such a question he decided to test them. with a mechanic like voice "yes, is this your ship?" he was still shy but they seemed friendly.

Kyren realised this was another one with a mechanical voice and replied "Yeah this is my ship." Kyren looked at Wilfred who slowly approached deer and looked all over his body. Kyren approached deer and sat down in front of him and asked "Would you like some fresh water?" Wilfred nodded then realised he was talking to the deer. Wilfred wondered off to find something when he came back he had a pencil and paper in his hands. he wrote on it "I'm Wilfred and I can't talk because my voice box was messed up when I was reconstructed." Kyren nodded and returned with a little bowl of water and laid it down for deer to drink out of.

After hearing Ken speak the first sensible thing he said since he had met him, Uta replied "I think our captain just ran by us... and he befriended the monster in question." Uta turned Ken and himself around and began to make their way back to the ship after noting a large group of marines trying to round up a fairly beaten up swordsman.

looking at the water deer said in a polite voice "im very sorry, but i cannot drink, thank you for the offer though." turning wilfred he read the note and replied "oh, i belive i might be able to help, with the right tools of course. looking at the two he continued "any way, you can call me deer556, or deer... ethier ways fine. so whats your name?"

"oh" ken said in his drunken manner. he had gotten better as that he could somewhat stand, but still needed uta to help him walk. seeing the marines cornering the swordsman he immdieatly tried to pull his sword from thier sheaths, only to have them partially come out before droppining to the ground. bending down to pick them up he placed on in his mouth and held the other two in hia hands. "shall... we?" suprisingly he was standing up on his own, but even he didnt know if he could fight.

Wilfred pointed to his throat and wrote on the paper "if you can help please do so as my voice box doesn't work properly."

"I'm Kyren and this is Wilfred, its nice to meet you and I think I'll call you Deer, and if you can't drink it then I'll drink it , why did you climb aboard my ship then Deer?" asked Kyren as he lifted the bowl and drank it.

Wilfred sat down beside deer.

giving off a sound that seemed like he was sighing deer said with sad demenor "well, to be truthful, the marines arent exactly, fond of me. i even have a bounty on my head, and since i dont have much choice of transportation i have to stowaway on ships to get from place to place. its not the best "life", but at least i can learn from tons of diffrent places." turning to wilfred he quickly made a mentle checklist of supplies he would need and said "I would help you, but i am short on the neccesary supplies to make it.

Kyren was curious about this deer and asked "Why aren't they fond of you what did you do?" He was thinking of offering this guy the chance to join his crew but wasn't sure if it would be a problem having him here part of the crew.

Wilfred was happy to see this deer was offering to help him the chance to fix his voice box and wrote down on paper "What do you need?" Wilfred couldn't wait to be able to speak again and let out a garbled childish laugh.

Kyren finished the bowl of water then laid it down and gave Wilfred a weird look due to the weird sound he made.

Uta and Ken were closing in on the marines. Ken was still too drunk to fight but his swords alarmed several marines. The squad made their way toward him, leaving only two to escort the swordsman back to their ship. The marines formed a circle around Ken. With their attention drawn to Ken, the marines did not notice Uta running a full circle around the group, touching the ground at even intervals. Mass Rebellion. Almost immediately, the ground around Ken collapsed, forming a doughnut-shaped hole around him, trapping the marines in a pitfall. Uta jumped to where Ken was and helped him to the outside of the ring. Making sure Ken was on safe ground, Uta made his way toward the remaining two marines, drawing his Wakizashi out of a compartment in his violin case. One-Step Whirlwind. Uta appeared in front of the marines and spun a full circle, slashing the two with his wakizashi. With the two marines wounded and the rest trapped in a hole, Uta pointed to Sockk and called to Ken, "What do you think we should do with him?

"mainly a few components and some metals, but i will need a speaker and some wires, not to metion the belli to buy this. other than that all im going to need is a place to work. simple to say, but it might take some time to put it all toghether. "deer said to answer wilfreds question. turning back to kyren he said in a quiet voice "its a story i hate to think about, but to put it simply im not a complete model. 556 stands for model 0.556. im part of a project that got cancelled, and they dont want me as evidence. after they locked me up and i broke out. nowadays they basiclly want me gone, kaput, not in the condition to tell pople what im telling you."

having all the marines around him fall into the pit he was about to thank uta when suddenly he was on safe ground. after collecting himself he heard his friend ask him what to do with the swordsman. walking over hap-hazardly he looked at sockk for a few seconds before simply shrugging his shoulders and walking over to the nearest house. leaning back on it he said "i dont know."

Wilfred understood and nodded he didn't have any beli either and wrote down on the paper "Ok I will get hold of those for you as soon as I can." He got up to search for some supplies.

As Wilfred got up Kyren grabbed Wilfred and asked out loud "Hey Wilfred, deer how would you guys like to join my crew? I'm sure you guys would be a great addition to the crew and a great help." Wilfred nodded and wrote on his paper "I'd be happy to join you, I like the fact that you don't treat me like a freak because I'm essentially a robot. I'm called a saboteur by the Marines so I guess you could say that's what I can offer you, my services as a saboteur."

Kyren smiled and shook his hand, "Welcome aboard then Wilfred, your room will be next to mine, so far we have a kitchen which is the 1st room on the right then next along is Ken's room our swordsmans, then Josh's our artists, then Wolfgang's our gun slinger then the room delphi and he lover are using at the moment then a spare room which will probably be your room. then my room at the very end which I share with Wolfheart our pet then on the left its Uta's room our musician and another swordsman then there is our dining room, then 3 more spare rooms, one of which you'll probably use deer, and the air ship connected to the back of our ship is Cid's he sleeps there."

Wilfred then nodded and walked off down the hallway to inspect his room.

Uta figured that they might as well take Sockk with them. The marines would take him again if their reinforcements came. Looking at Ken, Uta assumed that he was sober enough to walk on his own. Carrying the unconscious Sockk over his right shoulder, Uta and Ken decided to set off toward the harbor once more.

In his room Wilfred could see he had a bed to sleep in a small desk with a chair, it was good enough to live in but not fantastic but at least it was his to do what he wished with, Wilfred was curious and peeked into Kyren's room to see Wolfheart patched up in the corner on a small bed for patients he had. Wilfred then shut the door and walked back out and wrote down on the paper "I'm going to town to find things you need deer." Wilfred leapt over the edge and walked into town ready for any marines which came his way as he walked into town he quickly managed to find what was needed by scavenging it from a Marine ship. It was dangerous but nothing he couldn't handle, Wilfred made his way back to the ship seeing a blonde man with the bounty hunter over his shoulder and a drunk swordsman, he was curious about them but ignored them and leapt back on to the ship and laid down the items in front of deer, he was excited about being able to speak which is why he rushed and when he sat down next to deer he watched intently.

Uta saw the "thing" again, still unaware of what it was. It was much too tall, too transparent, and too mechanical to be human. It must have been a combination of a giant, a ghost, and a grandfather clock. The thing ran past the three of them, headed toward the dock. Uta wasn't very far from the harbor now. Sockk was still unconscious and Ken still swayed ever so slightly when he walked. They eventually got to the ship. "Captain! We're back! And we brought someone you might want to have a look at!"

Delphi gave Annachie's hand a gentle squeeze and smiled politely to Wolfgang. "Well, I wish you well in your endeavors, Mr Wolfgang. Annachie and I don't want to keep you from your business. Perhaps we'll all get a chance to catch up later..."

"If Annachie and I actually end up staying here,"Delphi thought to herself silently. True, the two of them needed to join a crew as soon as possible if they were to survive travelling these waters...but at the same time, they had caused quite a bit of hassle for Captain Kyren already and Delphi felt rather guilty at the thought of asking him about them joining his crew.

She gave Wolfgang another little bow of the head and a little wave before walking with Annachie up on to the upper deck of the ship. Delphi could see the pain in his eyes and the hunger too and resolved to make sure to make him lie down and rest as soon as they had both thanked the captain and eaten.
The half-mermaid noticed a shirtless young man, laying out on the deck under the sun. He looked like he was complete and utter bliss. Delphi smiled and thought about laying under the sun for a while, for herself.
After all, the weather was beautiful.

Delphi looked around a bit before looking to Josh. She walked over, gingerly, momentarily letting go of Annachie's hand to delicately crouch down and tap Josh on the shoulder.
"Uh...excuse me?" she said quietly. "Do you happen to know where the Captain is, sir?"

But no sooner had the words passed her lips, Delphi suddenly noticed the Captain taking his place on deck among his crewmates...though the young doctor had to rub her eyes to confirm that the sight that she was looking upon was real.
There appeared to be a humanoid deer of some kind (perhaps a Zoan user?) beside him, about to perform some kind of procedure upon a rather unique looking man. The man was huge and appeared to be part mechanical.
Delphi however, couldn't be one to judge and she didn't stare at them rudely. After all, she was a half-mermaid. To most of her fishier ethnicity, she would be openly considered a half-breed freak of nature.
She started to walk over to Kyren, bowing to him and preparing to speak to him, however it was then that she noticed the deer saying something about surgery.

Delphi blinked, her doctor's intuition taking over and she reached into her medical satchel, pulling out a vial of anti-septic fluid. "Surgery at sea can be very dangerous- bacteria is rampant. Please be careful, sir. If you're doing an insertion, you may need to sterilize any openings first. Here..." She handed the deer the vial (even though she wasn't quite sure whether or not he was capable of taking it from her and was still half-stunned by the fact that he could talk. She also wasn't sure whether the tall, mechanical man had any actual flesh to become infected. Either way, she decided to help them be safe rather than sorry.). "This is a mixture of my own creation. It will stop any cuts you make from becoming overly infected..."
However then, Delphi felt a little bit like a know-it-all and blushed deeply, quickly apologizing. "Ah, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to intrude. I just wanted to speak with you, Captain Kyren..." She looked to him, bowing her head again. "Though, if you're busy now, I understand..."

"aye" ken yelled, finnally sober enough to think straight. leaping onto the ship he landed on the deck with a thud, getting back up quickly. he looked around and silently sat down next to the mast. in seconds he was asleep.

(deer) having the things he needed deer finnally decided it was time. slowly transforming into his ybrid form deer went back to the items and looked them over. he proccessed the scamatics quickly and in sconds his hands were flying. each wire connected, every piece of metal seemingly melded to the robots whim. when he finished half of his project he began using a small electrode to configure the components to fit its soon to be user. looking over at his mechanical crewmate deer thought and looked his voicebox over and made some slight ajustments. in a minute or so all he had to do was implant the speaker and place it in wilfreds robotic body. finished he looked at wilfred and realized a small problem. he had no way to get it in wilfred. deer then began to rub his forehead, he saw humans do it when they tried to think, and came up with two solutions. he could ethier preform a sort of robotic surgery and insert it or see if wilfred had a way to get the voicebox in. holding it in his hands deer asked wilfred "do you have any way to implant this in your design, or am i going to have to surgiclly implant it?"

Wilfred saw how quickly deer worked and as shocked he couldn't believe it and what shocked him and Kyren even more was that he was a cyborg who acted like he a devil fruit. Wilfred then saw his new component and was asked "do you have any way to implant this in your design, or am i going to have to surgiclly implant it?" Wilfred wrote on the paper 2your going to have to perform surgery I think" followed by a sad face afterwards. Kyren was still awaiting an answer from deer as he wanted to know if he wished to join his crew.

deer got up after reading the note and strightened out his jacket, it was a habit his creator had always preformed after getting up from an experiment. turning to kyren he said in a voice that made it obvious he was thinking hard "ive decided i shall join your crew, besides how are you going to get around without me anyway." than in a happier tone "you cant exactly pilot a boat half blind anyway." looking at wilfred for a couple of seconds he finally said "im going to need a few more things, a table large enough to keep him up, a place where i can have utter silence, and a few surgic tools, if you fave a doctor and a mechanic i just migh have be able to find all that i need."

Kyren smiled at his acceptance and said to deer "I'll be glad to have you aboard, your right we do need a navigator and I know just the place, come with me. Kyren led both Wilfred and deer to his office as the end of the corridor and said my desk should be big enough and their some surgical tools in the cupboard up there on the wall. Will this be good enough?" asked Kyren as Wilfred sat on the desk. Kyren then turned to Delphi and said to her "No I'm not busy just surprised how many people are on my ship today, so Delphi what was it you wanted to talk to me about?"

By now, Uta had gotten himself and Sockk on board the ship. Seeing no one else around, he lay Sockk down on the deck while he himself sat on the edge of the boat waiting for someone to come by.

annachie watched as delphi treated someone and waited for her to finish and after she did he stroked her , then hugged , then kissed her and then let her go , he waited ready to get some food since he was hungry but he wouldnt get delphi to treat his broken bones. he waited for her to be done before they went for some food and held his hand out for her to hold . he was then slightly distracted when wolf tried to tear out his wrist which he just threw to the ground.

Wolfheart saw the guy who had shot him and the ship, after finishing the steaks he had, he barked and ran at him and jumped and aimed to rip his wrists out, he hit but annachie immidetly grabbed him by the neck and threw him straight down to the ground. wolfheart was at his mercy and started to whimper.

"Do you want to talk to me about joining my crew by any chance Delphi?" Kyren asked smiling till he realised Wolfheart and Annachie fighting behind Delphi. "Hey you two stop that! I won't let friends of mine aboard my ship!" Kyren grabbed hold of Wolfheart and hugged him stroking his fur. "Look I was going to offer you two the chance to become part of my crew, but if you accept the offer I don't want you guys fighting, Annachie when I told you about the guy I loved like a son, well this was the guy I was talking about. This is Wolfheart, and I don't want anything to happen to him. Although I would like to know if you guys do choose to join what your goals are, as mine is to make sure all of yours are fulfilled." Kyren liked that his crew had gotten bigger and was looking forward to his first real fight with his new crew as he was sure they would be fantastic. He was hoping on finding a cook here but sadly he hadn't found anyone yet, he thought to himself maybe he'd find one on the next island, but as for now I guess it was just raw food. Kyren awaited his reply from Annachie and Delphi hoping it was going to be a yes.

Cid came closer to the ship where he saw his captain and someone he didnt know talking, he stopped and removed the propellers from his back landing next to his captain, ''are there any problems '' he asked

Delphi happily returned Annachie's kiss and affectionate touches before turning back to Kyren preparing to answer him. But before she could, a large wolf suddenly leapt up and snapped at Annachie's wrist.
Delphi let out a small scream, watching as he swatted the dog away and was then surprised to learn that the wolf was actually one of Kyren's nakama.

The Captain's next statement actually took Delphi by surprise. Was he actually offering to let them join his crew? She couldn't help but let a gentle smile break out across her face.
"I was just going to thank you for being so good to Annachie and I...but yes! I, for one, would love to join your crew. You are such a kind man and by the looks of it, a noble Captain." She bowed her head. "I shall use my skills as a mermaid and a doctor to their fullest to help you achieve your goals as Captain...and I promise that I'll do my best to stop my lover and your surrogate son from fighting..."
She gave a little squeak of surprise when Cid landed beside Kyren but she quickly returned her smile. "I'd really like to become part of your crew...and I'm sure Annachie would too..."
She looked to Annachie, taking his hand again. "Though, I can't answer for both of us. Would you like to join Captain Kyren's crew too?"

annachie saw the wolf being stroked and turned back and listened to what delphi was talking about and too as she turned and held his hand, he held hers and hugged her and whispered "of course" he kissed her on the forhead and let her turn back . he went back to leaning agaisnt the wall and waited for delphi to finish.

Delphi smiled, blushing a little at Annachie's soft kiss.
She would never quite grow too used to being treated with such tenderness. "Thank you," she whispered back softly, before turning back to Kyren and restoring her voice's usual volume. "Yes, Captain Kyren. We both accept your generous offer...we will both do our best to help you in every way that we can..." Delphi stooped to experimentally stroke the wolf's head too. If he was truly like Kyren's son and a member of the crew, Delphi wanted to treat him as such. "It's nice to meet you too, Wolfheart."
She curtsied briefly before tilting her head at Kyren with curiosity. "May I ask where we are headed first? Are we bound for the Grand Line by any chance...?"
