Serious: The Clockwork Pirates Chapter 1: Finding Nakama (This thread is now CLOSED)

As the Time Goes sailed towards an island Kyren had never seen before he grew slightly excited to find and meet new crew members. The ship drew nearer and Kyren dropped the anchor as soon as he was within jumping distance. Kyren jumped onto the shore and rushed off into town in search of a nakama and anyone who could use his medical abilities as he was always ready and willing to help no matter who they where. Kyren ran into town shouting "I'm Coming nakama!"

a pirate ran toward kyren and said to him "i see your looking for some friends but nothing is like a mans best friend like a dog and why dont you come with me sir because i just got a dog in" he pointed to his stall. he then pointed towards a box that was barking and growling the pirate shot it with a pistol and said "quiet doggy" he turned back to kyren "im sorry it seems a bit angry and dangerous i shall slash the price in half"

Kyren listened to what the pirate had to say and gladly walked over to his stall to hear growling and barking coming from a box. When the pirate shot it and the growling stopped Kyren was shocked and displeased. Hurting an innocent animal was wrong. Kyren pushed the pirate aside and opened the box. He could see the animal was in pain and wounded. The animal was a wolf, Kyren reached to gently tip the box over and let the wolf crawl out but as he did this the pirate aimed a gun at Kyren's head. Without a moments hesitation Kyren threw one of his scalpels at him and it impaled itself in his hand. The pirate dropped the gun and ran away in pain as the scalpel fell out. Kyren picked it up and then coaxed the wolf out from the box.

wolfheart limped weakley out of his box and he saw kyren and tried to limp away because the bullet shot into him by the pirate wasnt the first one he had ever been shot with by this man. As wolfheart limped away he went behind some bins and while no one was looking he changed to a human boy and limped weakly in the direction away from people towards a forest.

Kyren kept an eye on the wolf as it limped behind some bins, he didn't ant to spook it when he saw it turn into a small child he felt he should definitely go and help. Kyren slowly approached the small boy stood in front of him. Kyren knelt down showed the boy his hands were empty and he wasn't a threat. Your injured, let me help you. I'm a doctor. Kyren raised his hand to the boy realising he'd been in wolf for a while so he must be in the wolf mind of thinking. Kyren let the boy sniff his hand so he could get his scent. Kyren felt happy to help a fellow person, it made him smile.

wolfheart was sniffing around kyrens hands but he still didnt trust a human so he tried to get away again after he saw the bloody scalpels which in his mind made him think he was going to surprise him. he didnt trust any human but after limping a few steps he fell uncouncious because of the amount of blood he had lost due to bullets.

Kyren saw the boy limp away and felt sorry for him because he seemed too proud to get help. When He saw the boy fall unconscious Kyren knew this a his chance to help him. Kyren rushed over to the boy and emptied his satchel. Kyren used cleaned up the blood and then used his tweezers to open the wound a little bit wider so he could use another pair of tweezers to remove the bullet. Kyren repeated this every time he found another bullet until there were no more. He then wrapped the boy up in bandages and smiled, he looked for the boy's pulse which was strong and realised this guy wasn't going anywhere just yet. Kyren sat near by waiting for the boy to wake up to make sure he was ok.

wolfheart woke up a few moments later he noticed he was covered in bandages they were tight when he was human but as he woken up he changed back into a wolf because he hated being in human form and the bandages were loose and uncomfitable and wolfheart had never had bandages on so he didnt know what they were for and he ripped them off with his teath. he then licked his wounds and he saw kyren and growled at him for putting bandages on him which he though were ment to restrain him.

Kyren saw Wolfheart wake up and change back into a wolf then rip the bandages off. Kyren smiled and realised this boy was a devil fruit user who preferred being a wolf. Kyren was happy to have helped the boy and let the wolf growl at him. Kyren wasn't afraid, he remained where was and said "I removed the bullets for you and cleaned the wounds. I hope you feel better now." Kyren stood up and walked into town to find crew members and supplies. He hoped the young boy understood what he did for him and decided if he ran into him again he would give him some some food. He looked like he needed it.

wolfheart didnt understand much of what kyren said but he did understand he helped him. he started to pant and he walked a few fear and started to drink seawater which was ok for him but after a litre he just started choking but he managed to stop by eating some sand.he started to crawl to the near part and he clawed to death and ate some rabbits.

Kyren got his hands on some medical supplies, beer, water and food then started making his way back to his ship. He didn't meet anybody in the town whom he thought would be a good enough recruit for his crew so he planned to climb back aboard his ship and eat some of the food he'd bought. As he approached his ship Kyren noticed the wolf eating some dead rabbits, his snout was covered in blood and Kyren only recognized him because he had two blue blue stripes on him. Kyren smiled and muttered to himself "Messy pup" Kyren climbed aboard his ship and put away the supplies he'd picked up. He stored his medical supplies away in his room then grabbed hold of an apple and a steak. Kyren jumped back off the ship to find the wolf, he planned on feeding him, if he could find him.

Kyren's hospitality was witnessed by Uta while walking through a path in the forest. He saw Kyren walk away and the Wolf/boy eating rabbits. He wanted to say something but was quieted by his understanding of the delicate condition of the wolf/boy's mind. Still, he knew there was something he liked about Kyren when he treated the boy's wounds. Uta proceeded to walk into town towards the bar. The wind picked up and made his coat flutter. He took a quick gander at the island and knew that something about him was going to change in the near future.

As Kyren searched around for the boy he removed the steak from behind his back and began whistling while waving the steak around hoping he would come out to get it. The wind picked up and blew the steak in his hand sending the scent of the steak around the area. Kyren looked around getting further and further away from ship looking for him.

wolfheart was eating rabbits and he took one and he ran towards the whilstleing he ran and saw kyren holding the steak and started Barking very loud at him trying to intimidate him to make him put do the steak his eat pointed up and he started to snarl as he was trying to get the stake from kyren because he was hungry and thirsty.

Kyren saw the wolf run towards him and begin barking at him, he could tell he wanted the steak and smiled knowing he had gotten his attention. Kyren laid the steak on the ground and back away slowly. As he backed away he sat down and pulled out a scalpel then began slicing the apple in his hand and eating it. Kyren watched from afar as the wolf approached the steak. He was happy to see the wolf go for the food and even happier he didn't try to attack him as he watched from afar.

wolfheart ate the steak staring at kyren wondering why this guy gave up so easily as he ate the food he noticed kyren had an apple after he finished the stake he started to pant in thirst and due to the sunny day of heat as well so he started to walk past kyren to find some water stopping for a moment next to kyren as he panted.

Kyren put his hand out in front of the wolf with the apple segment in his hand, he hoped he would take it, but didn't know so he he waited. Kyren could sense the wolf was becoming more comfortable with him and he realised he wanted this wolf in his crew, he really didn't know why but all he did know was he was growing attached to this animal. He would've tried to stroke him but felt it was better to feed him before lay a hand on him.

Uta went into the bar but not for a drink; he didn't care for rum that much. He was searching for information. He wanted to know where the wolf/boy was from and got a simple answer: the boy was captured in East Blue by pirates and sold off to a trader on the island. Unwanted by his owners he soon came into the hands of the man who had shot the wolf several times and kept it boxed up. Uta looked out the window and wondered where the man had run off to. "If he is as bad a pirate as he makes himself out to be, he must have friends closeby." Uta left the bar and headed towards the dock.

Wolfheart ate the apple then walked a street away to get some water he started to drink from the sea and started to howl and he drank some more he then laid down waiting for something to happen.

Kyren could see a blonde haired man walking towards the docks, from what he could see the man walking towards him looked like a bounty hunter, but with no bounty on his head Kyren though to himself he should be fine,there was no reason for him to be captured he hadn't done anything to warrant a bounty, yet. Kyren felt the wolf's snout on his palm as he ate the apple, it tickled his hand. Kyren then cut another segment off the apple and ate it then turned to see the wolf drink some water. Kyren knew it wasn't goo to drink sea water so he climb back aboard his ship and jumped off with a bowl and the barrel of water he bought in town. Kyren walked towards the wolf but stopped near to him and laid down the bowl filled it with water then pushed it towards the wolf he had decided to name Wolfheart because for he was a wolf and he seemed to have somehow touched his heart and made him smile.

"Excuse me, is this wolf yours?" Uta wanted to test the young man to see whether or not he could live up to his first impression of him back in the forest. He had to hurry. Something was approaching from upwind. He could smell it and after a look at the wolf, he knew that it smelled something too.

Kyren waited for Wolfheart to begin drinking when the blonde hair man was stood near him he looked up and into his only showing. He replied to the mans question with a simple "no" Kyren the went back to watching Wolfheart waiting to see if he would drink the fresh water he'd supplied him. Kyren could feel a breeze blowing past his torso with a very small scent of something else, unsure of what it was he ignored it. Kyren could see the wounds on Wolfheart's body and how they were healing, this made him happy.

"If it is not yours, why do you take such good care of it?" Uta wasn't trying to provoke him. The wolf didn't belong on the island. It needed an owner to keep it sane. After all, the poor thing was only a young boy. "It has no future here. Travelers will come and go but the next pirates who come to this island will catch it and cage it again. What you are doing will only hurt him."

Kyren kept looking at Wolfheart and replied to the man once again "I'm a doctor and my dream is to help people, this poor boy was injured, was I supposed to leave him to die?" Kyren knew the man was right which is why he wanted Wolfheart to join but wasn't going to force him to join, it would have to be decision of his own.

after sailing at sea for a couple days at sea ken finallly docked his small rowboat at an islands port. after a the long trip he had finally found the island where he would find his crew. tying his boat to the dock he decided to go have a drink before he started looking for some pirates. twirling his knife in his hands he walked along the docks to the bar. happily drinking a two fine glasses of beer he smiled as he payed the bartender and walked outside. turning back outside he saw two men that seemed too be talking over a wolf. cracking his knuckles he whistled a tune as he walked over too the food stand nearest them and bough a couple of apples.
