Serious: Chapter 4 The Road to becoming the best (hooded knights)

Ryujin saw the explosion and stopped in his tracks diving under the water. There was a blinding light and he continued to hold his breath there was no way he was going up there after that. He had a million questions in his head now to. Who did that? What was it? And most importantly was his new crew ok

After seeing the beach clear, Carlos allowed himself to release an exhale of relief. He completely forgot that he was still in the bombing zone. "Captain Darnel! The beach is cleared!" He shouted. He then turned his head to see if his captain approves, only to face the paw-shaped bubble of air racing towards him.

"Shi..!" He shouted, but this was all he managed to say before the bubble got closer, carrying a wave behind it. The wave was a surprise to Carlos, and it was enough to trip him off of the waver. Luckily for him, inside the water, he was safe from the bombing attempt.

Martian was off on a strool when he heard explosions, and being a marine, went to check it out. When he got there, he saw familiar faces of his crew. He looked around confused/

"What da hell is goin' on?!" he yelled

The explosion completely destoryed the beach leaving a giant crater into ground and large amounts of sand flown all over the place. The surrounding trees were either either blown away or destoryed completely. Due to Darnel being on sea, he was relatively unharmed for the most part. Only his pride was hurt beyond repair despite saving the citizens and beating most of the bandit. Darnel looked to see that Lionus was gone probably retreated. To make matters worse the marine base on the island was destoryed on th beach. Darnel wanted to make sure his crew were safe first before investigating this any further.

Is everyone ok? I repeat all hooded knights fall in.

Ryujin came back above water soaked and pissed off. He swam to shore and started to dry his clothes but that was hard with only his one hand. He was cussing under his breath and looked up to see other people. He looked at them quizzically and said"Are you guys the hooded knights?"

After a few bubbles surfaced from the deeps, Carlos' head jumped out of the water. The waver he was riding only seconds ago was nowhere to be found, and was probably obliterated in the explosion. The first thing he did was feeling his belt. He exhaled with relief as he felt the familiar texture of his pair of hook swords.

"Carlos Vivo, Alive and healthy!" Carlos shouted back to Darnel after a fall in command was given. He then began swimming towards his captain's Kano, that was still standing, so he could get a ride back to shore.

George screeched in fright as the massive explosion enveloped the beach behind him. The resulting shockwave knocked him off balance and sent him toppling back down towards the sand.

Quintus was nearly thrown from George's grip, but the shock of seeing the sand so far below him, and him almost falling that distance, caused him to snap out of his daze and catch a hold of George's feet. He then hauled himself forward, up and over onto George's back. The roc was still on a downward spiral, heading for the beach, so Quintus reached for the pressure points he knew were there and jabbed them. Instantly, George's wings snapped into position and he managed to pull them out of the dive.

The two of them were quiet for about a minute. Quintus didn't break the silence because he knew that George would need a little while to bring himself back together. Falling out of control like that was a very traumatic experience for his friend, even more so because he was a bird.

"Let's get back to the others," Quintus ordered quietly, once he was sure that George would be fine.

George turned silently and began to fly back. Quintus patted him gently on the head and then checked his weaponry. He still had his gun and seven bomb bullets remained in the clip he had placed in there. Other than that, though, he didn't have anything except his own body to fight with. His bullet case had been lost in the explosion, as had the bullets he had pulled out of his pockets and dropped on the beach. Quintus supposed that could make things problematic for him later on, but he had been trained to fight in hand to hand combat. He just wasn't as good at it.

Darnel saw that his crew was all alright thank god. Carlos, Martain, and assuming Quintious were all healthy and mostly unharmed in the most part. Then Darnel saw a new marine coming onto soaked and wet (Ryujin) "Yes we are the hooded knights, and we just got out ass kicked." Darnel looked around at the destruction that one man could cause. This was their first mission in the grand line and they failed. "Thats it we are offically off vacation. Its time to get to work. We need to find out what the heck is going on with the island. Everyone get dressed. We are going toward the castle of the island." Darnel said angrily as his loss. If ever wanted to be admiral he couldn't lost not to anyone. He needed to become stronger.

"Well I'm Ryujin your new recruit and what the hell was that thing?"He looked confused and as he said this he took off his shirt revealing he only had one arm and he tried to dry off in the sun.

(Since SK is gone at the moment, I guess this crew is going to take a (hopefully brief) hiatus. Just lettin' everyone know so that those who may not understand what is going on will not leave after a few days of inactivity.)

George flew over and landed on the edge of the group. Quintus slid from his back, wincing at the pain in his chest where he had been hit by a cannonball, before walking over to the others.

"Looks like everyone is alright..." Quintus muttered. He broke out into a huge grin. "Oh goodie gumshoes! Now I don't have to go looking for a new Marine division to hook up with!" He cast a glance around the area and nodded sagely. "And from the lack of enemies, I would say we won! Yepyepyep! We did it Georgie!"
