| Two seconds into the ride, Paige kind of regretted the decision to just hop on without thinking twice. But no use crying over past decisions. Especially since the situation at hand required her attention, which she intended to give it. It looked like the horse had brought her straight to more marines. She begrudgingly ruffled through its mane. Dumb horse. Then she realised she was about to make yet another acquaintance. That was two new persons she had met today! Thinking about it, it wasn't taht great, but she kind of had to depend on them a bit if she wanted to get out of here.
She eyed the second guy curiously for about one moment, thinking about whether or not she should ask his name as well or if just knowing mister Xaldin the pirate was enough. The thought of introducing herself never crossed her mind. But the circle of marines did and before she could get into asking, she already felt the sharp taste of her firebreathing liquid in her mouth. She corked the bottle and stuffed it into her pocket again. Her finger touched the cold metal of one of her baton, and she thought... hey, why not? She got both of them out with her left hand, then went through her right pocket for her matches. She could easily light them with one hand, and the hissing sound as she did made her heart skip a beat, then start bumping again at twice the speed it had before. She could feel the fire! It was there!
In one movement, she lit the cloth on the two batons, which, as always, enflamed within a second, and with a wonderful whoosh, jumped down over the horses neck, held the batons in front of her and spewed out the liquid in her mouth. The fireball was big enough to make the horse panic a bit, but it made the marines it hit panic much more. It was the squad which had blocked the alleyway before. Paige hadn't been aiming for them, hitting them had barely been coincidence, but hey, all the better. Some of their uniforms had caught fire, and Paige could have watched all day as they tried to get it off, but she didn't have it right now. No, right now she had to worry about what would happen next. She had two meelee weapons, the soldiers had guns. Strategical thinking... Now that she noticed this, maybe aggressing first hadn't been such a good idea. Bright smile on her face, she turned to the two men who would have to be her partners for now. "So, are you going to help me out, or what?"

| [All marines unless otherwise stated now have 20% in all stats ] Jay looked up as Xaldin rode in on the back of the horse with some small person, his vision was getting a bit blurry but as he focused he saw it was a small girl, then things kind of moved too fast, he heard fire and saw some Marine’s on fire at the end of the alley way. Jay growled to himself and then stood up and walked slowly towards the side of the girl before saying “We need to get out of ‘ere. I’ve got a boat, but I suggest we go once we dispatch these...”There were three more marines that weren’t overly hurt by the fire, three had been hit, it seemed fairer this way and Jay chuckled, these guys were rookies, even with his black eye he could see that. He moved forward, a burst of adrenaline urging his muscles to do what they could at full strength. His metal Bo staff came down, the recruit blocked the first blow, however the second blow to the side of his knee dislodged it from its sitting and he collapsed, Jay turned to the other two and said “Move!”Jay had confidence in Xaldin, he seemed capable of handling a bunch of recruits, and it saddened Jay’s heart that one of them would definitely die but still he moved around to look down the streets, they were near the woods. A few more alleys and they’d be there. | |

| This was Xaldins specialty. Running. His Free running was one thing he was actually proud of. He then began running with Jay and Paige who had made a break for it. He couldn't fight all the Marines on his own. So he had no choice. Xaldin put his Personal Saber back in its case and the other Saber in his sash around his waist. He then began running at 9 mph almost instantly an quickly picked up to 15. Xaldin began accelerating quickly more into town. With Jay and Paige not far behind him.
"..If possible follow my lead! You guys head for the docks..I'll meet you there after I lead them off your trail.."
Xaldin turned to his right sharply and was in front of a 10 foot wall. The wall had one window at was about 1 foot thick and 2 feet wide. Xaldin then pushed off one foot and landed the other foot on the window seal. He then pushed the rest of his body upwards on one foot and grabbed onto the roof of the building. Xaldin pulled him self up in a split second and began running on the weak roof of the building he had just scaled. Xaldin then put his hand on his right hip and reached into his sash. Pulling out two pistols. HAHA! He thought, He then began shooting at all the surrounding Marines, causing them to take all there attention off Jay and Paige. Hopefully the Sergent would also take the bait. Xaldin then came to the end of the roof and stepped onto the ledge. He then did a long cat jump across a 3 foot gap between roof tops. Safely landing on the roof. He then did a barrel roll to break his fall and continued running. The Marines close behind him. Xaldin, at that moment, did the worst thing any Free runner could possible do. Take his eyes off his path. He looked down to see a mob of Marines with sabers and rifles chasing after him yelling and murmuring. Xaldin gave off a small smirk. They would never catch him. Their only possible chance to capture him was if he were on the gr-
"...OH SHI-!!"
Xaldin then fell straight over the buildings ledge and fell for his doom. Luckily, he fell on a booth that had a strong cloth visor covering it, protecting the shop from the heat. Xaldin rolled off the visor, into a pile of flour. He quickly retaliated and looked around to see the mob of Marines not far from him. This would mean trouble. Xaldin then pushed him self out of the pile of flour as fast as he possible could and tripped while getting up, rolled over, and landed on his feet. Xaldin was skillful enough to be able to start on the right foot and continue running. Suddenly, Two Marines jumped from out of two allys. One on the right and one of the left. Xaldin then put his right hand on his left waist and his left hand on his right. Quickly withdrawing his blades. Thus, in a flash if at it didn't seem like. He had drawn his blades and dashed past both the Marines. Slashing them across the chest.
"Two Sword Style: Double Flash Slash!"
He then put his blades back into there holding places and continued running. As he made his way towards the docks. He saw a large number of Marines standing in the way. About 10, all baring sabers. This was going to be challenging. Xaldin then grabbed his blades once again and narrowed his eyes. He'd have to take down each one of these Marines, in a single blow, in one single sweep. If he failed. Fighting them would take up to much time and allow the mob to catch up. Then he'd really be in trouble. Xaldin then focused. As the first two Marines charged towards him. The first Marine attempted a violent thrust towards Xaldin. Xaldin then ducked down on one knee and did a 360 degree turn. Thus, He extended both swords out like he was stretching horizontally. Xaldin then span around, slashing the Marine on his knee joint, decapitating the mans leg from the knee.
"Two Sword Style: Revolving Knee Slash!"
Xaldin then began to rise as the second and third Marine drew near. They both then jumped into the air and held their swords over head. Attempting to slash Xaldin down the middle. As Xaldin rose. He moved his arms straight and held his wrist so that the swords were both pointing to the right. He then clutched his arms in and swung them to the front of his face. Cutting both the guards deeply in the gut.
"Two Sword Style: Gutting!"
Xaldin was growing tired. The previous running and now this huge battle was doing a toll on him phyisically. He knew he would have to wrap this up quickly. Seeing there fellow Marines easily beaten. The last 7 were hesitant about fighting Xaldin.
"..He..He fights like a Demon..."
"But he's just a rookie!..W...We can handle him..right?"
"O...Of course...right?"
"YEAH! WERE MARINES!"
"YEAH!"
This was a problem. As they began to cheer. Xaldin knew there skills would be boosted if they felt more rage. Xaldin then closed his eyes and took in a deep breath. Thus, Xaldin began dashing through the last 7 Marines. Slashing each and every one of them. When Xaldin was finished. At first they looked around to see what had been done. Two seconds later. Huge gashes spewed with blood on the Marines chest. Xaldin flung his swords down. Hitting blood off them, making them sparkle like new. Xaldin began slowly walking away. On account that the mob stopped dead in there tracks. In sheer fear of Xaldin's skill.
"..I don't know what to call this move...Two Sword Style: Flash Finish"
Xaldin was exhausted. If he were to be attacked or ambushed right now. He would have no choice but to run. Only if he could possibly have the energy.

| Paige hadn't needed an invitation to get running, but when it came, she spend a good two seconds standing there, as if thinking about what the word could mean, or possibly, if staying wasn't a more preferable cause of action at the moment. If she had, then two seconds had been enough to convince her otherwise, as she was already two steps behind the two men when one suddenly decided to stay behind. She didn't pay much thought to this, it was his life, after all. When one of verucas crew hadn't been able to keep up, they had left him behind without question, so it was much of an old habit that she didn't stop, and instead caught up to the second man before she turned her head to get a glimpse of mister Xaldin, occupation pirates show. "Wow, he's doing well."
Without any more comment, she turned away from him, though of coruse not because she actually wanted to concentrate on escaping. Casually, she added: "Think he's a goner now, though, all out of breath. So, where are we running?" Mentioning out of breath, she would run out of it soon. Paige was a good sprinter, but not so much for long distances. Of course, being her, she didn't pay this any thought.

| Jay kept moving, Xaldin had stopped and Jay wanted to go back for him, but from Jay’s experience he had left him twice, so he kept moving forward unaware that Xaldin was, and had moved ahead of them from atop the roofs above them. Jay slowed a bit as Paige spoke and he stopped at a crossroads before chuckling “These marines are mainly rookies.... He’ll be fine....” Jay listened a bit before hearing the clash of swords off down one of the roads.
His mind ticked over and Jay sighed before saying “I reckon they’ll have the dock locked down.... I’ve got a dingy on the west coast... If we can make it to the forest I can get us there... Only that Sergeant did me in a bit.” Jay looked down at his bloodied and bruised body, he still stood tall and a bit out of breath before saying “Best get him. We’ll need him”
Jay turned and began to jog down the road he heard the sword clashes on, it wasn’t long until he came across the exhausted Xaldin, and a Marine about to jump and slash him down. Jay dashed forward and blocked the blade with his Metal Bo staff, the clang ringing off through the streets. Jay managed just to push him off, back the way they came before standing in front of Xaldin and saying “Get us to the forest, and I’ll lend you my boat...”

| Xadlin stood up and grinned. In the nick of time. Although he wasn't damaged. He wasn't aware or prepared for that attack. He closed his eyes and smiled at Jay for saving his life. Luckily, That breif intermission allowed him to catch his breath. Just about in tip top shape. He looked towards the town and saw a herd of cattle being lead by a middle age man with a rough after shave. Xaldin then began running full speed towards the cattle farmer with Jay and Paige close by.
"I have an Idea.."
The Marines then began chasing back after Xaldin and his current team mates. Xaldin began running towards the cattle and stopped dead in his tracks in front of it yelling.
"..I ATE YOUR MOTHER FOR BREAKFAST BLAAAAAAAAAARGH!!"
Scaring the lead bull. The cattle bursted into a panicing berserk frenzy. At that, Xaldin directed Jay and Paige to follow him to the right. At that, the cattle began stampeding towards the army of Marines.
"...Wuah...OOOOH NOOOOOOOOOOOOO.."
The Mob of Rookie Marines began turning around and running for there lifes in hope to not be trampled. Xaldin stood to the side and watched the Magic happen. He was no strategist. But he could come up with a decent plan every once in a while.

| Jay looked as Xaldin had ran off to scare cattle away and into the path of Marines who seemed to scatter fairly well, Paige had just about caught up and Jay was starting to feel his wounds re open once more. He growled at the prospect of dying here, he had things to do and people to see. He moved over and grabbed Xaldin and said “Clear me a path to the jungle and I’ll get us off this island.” Jay knew he had some basic medical supplies on his dingy, and if he could get to at least the forest, he could navigate the hardest paths to the west coast where his little ship lay.
There was some perks to being raised on a jungle island of warriors, he knew the signs of the animals. So when the flock of seagulls flew up off the roof of one of the nearby houses Jay moved over to the Alley dragging Xaldin and having Paige follow him before saying “And now we need to be careful, that Sergeant is here.” Jay’s voice dropped, only he had fought him so far and as such knew that he wasn’t to be messed with.
If all three of them could fight him there would be a chance, but with the way things were going Jay just wanted off this island.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The sergeant could be heard before he was seen, shouting orders and punishments to those rookies who had been nearly trampled to by the cattle. “I WANT THEM NOW! Don’t be afraid of tomorrow’s lunch god damnit! They’re nothing but weaklings! FIND THEM NOW!” His voice boomed throughout the alleys, he was no further away than at the end of the main street,
| Paige couldnt help but turn her head to watch the spectacle. Marines running, cattle.... er, mooing... She didn't know whether cattle could shout or not, so.... But much more important than that was that she was getting out of breath. Slowly, but steadily, she was getting tired, and her heavy coat with its dark colour was almost getting too hot to wear. Except she'd never take it off! Not only had it been a present, the last time she remembered being without it in a situation that involved fire, not wearing it had gotten her a nice souvenir on her back. Though she doubted it'd happen again...
She was ripped fro those thoughts when she heard a familiar voice behind them and her heart sunk a little. it was.... that guy. That marine guy. The one with the chocolate... She wondered if he'd let her go if she apologised, but abandoned the idea. It was ridiculous, even for her. "So..." She really was getting out of breath... "How long does it take to get to the jungle?"
| [As it’s been more than a week, I’ll pop up another one, if you guys want we can end this shortly]
Jay poked his head around the corner and looked to the Marines, then to down the street, the gate was open and the guards weren’t paying much attention, just looking around for something to do. It seems that they hadn’t been paying attention to the events that unfolded.
He came back into the alley and said “Two guards down the street, if we rush them now we can make it into the forest and from there, only problem is if we do it that way the main force with the Sergeant will see us for sure. It’s up to you guys, if we continue down the alleys it’ll take longer and they have more chance of finding us, but it will be a quieter exit.”
Jay crossed his arms and leant back on the alley wall looking between the two, he wouldn’t last another round with the Sergeant, but his adrenaline was beginning to wear off and he’d simply collapse.
| Paige only kind of listened to what the man in front of her had to say, she was busy playing around with her still lit baton. The fire would be burning for some more time, she guessed.... She heard him saying something of a short way to the forest and two guards to rush, but not that much more. To tell the truth, she was sold at the word "rush", which was, in her eyes, a great thing to do. Even if she had thought about it, she most likely would have come o the same conclusion.
And then she saw the guards mentioned, and it was all over, her attention span was done for, and she was already in the process of rushing when the man explained the alternative. She jumped around the corner like a weasel, dashed towards one of the men, jumped up and brought her baton down to his head with all her strenght. What the other guard would do in response to that, she hadn't thought about.
| [I guess i'll just carry on as normal until TBL is back "/ sorry about this]
The man’s head caved, or effectively caved, his consciousness was lost and he was bleeding heavily and thudded against the floor with Paige standing over him, the other guard looked up and spilt his dark drink, tea or coffee most likely, he toppled backwards over his chair and rose up loading his riffle, he shock of the rush attack Paige had achieved had caught him off balance, he tried looking down the sight.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jay then slammed all his weight into his through the small window gap that looked over the street, it wasn’t graceful but it knocked his aim as the marine fired and hit the wall, Jay then grabbed his neck in a reverse head lock and applied pressure so that he’d soon loss consciousness as well. Jay looked to Paige and said “I did mean we needed to talk about it but well done kid.” Jay groaned a bit as the man’s body went stiff then limp showing that he had gone. The fighter released him and allowed him to hit the floor unconscious.
Jay looked out over the street where several squads of marines were looking their way, due to the gunshot and Jay pointed to the door “We go now, if we want to get out of here, I’m in no state to fight this many.” It was true he was slowing down and becoming less graceful, but at least he wasn’t bleeding.
Jay looked to the Alley way where Xaldin was and growled “I guess he has his own plans, and I guess we’re the distractions. We cannot wait, if you’re coming with me kid, I will get you off this island.” Jay said beginning to move for the door, not waiting for a reply.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The marines all did hear the gunshot and even the sergeant looked over to the guard hut and raised a large arm and bellowed ” Take them down! Shoot at will!” The marines all raised their riffles and began to fire upon the guard house after cocking their guns which for rookies gave the people in the hut time to move but if Paige didn’t move for the door, or duck she would have a few new piercings.
