History: Martin Tweed was born on August 12th on a small island on the Grand Line in a city that resembled 1920’s Boston. As a child, his father would make a living as a street musician and his mother was a part time gourmet chef who had to stay home and raise him and his 6 siblings. As a boy his father would always come home with bruises, but never told him how he got them. Even as a very small child, Marty would pick things up from his parents. He would take mental notes as him mom cooked or as his father played his Cello. He would remember all the notes and tips him mother would repeat aloud as she cooked. The first time his parents learned he could do these things decently was at age six when he became curious enough to try them on his own and was caught by his parents. His parents, seeing he had talent decided to train him to do these things to make money for the family. His father began giving him music lessons and him mother cooking lessons. He was a gourmet chef and a professional grade cellist when he was 13. It was then that his parents left him to run the house while they got full time jobs. One day, while getting groceries for dinner, he saw his father being robbed and beat. Now knowing why his father had been bruised all those times and was not particularly fond of it. Running at them and fighting Martian realized something; he was a bad fighter. Those men dropped him like a bag of dirt. He then vowed to join the marines and prevent crime as much as he could, then having zero tolerance for any crime whatsoever. Except for the one problem that he couldn’t fight…at all…. He then heard a man at a bar he was at talk about some style of fighting that involved breaking your hand repeatedly would make you stronger. Desperate, Marty tried this looking for results, although his hopes weren’t high. But, to his surprise, it worked! He began doing this more and more, developing techniques for this as he went along. He then found the men that had beat his father and told them never to do it again. The just sniggered smugly and jeered “Whaddaya gonna do ‘bout it?” The asked and then tried to beat him. Now being self-defense, Marty shamelessly beat the crap out of them, breaking their bones and such, needless to say his father performed in peace. At his eighteenth birthday he applied for the marines and showed them his power. Impressed, they decided to give him training in rokushiki, and took him to enies lobby to train for a few years. During this time he did missions with cipher pol, getting him up in ranks for the marines, and by time he was done with training he was a lieutenant and is now being transferred to a marine crew.
Personality: Martin is what you would call a city slicker in his attitude. His first noticeable feature is his old time Boston accent, and pronounces words differently, like ‘Habah’ instead of ‘harbor’. He is also a bit judgmental at times, but means well in the end. An example of this would be telling someone where they should or where they shouldn’t go. Other than that he is pretty optimistic, but has a strange sense of justice and will automatically hate anyone with a bounty of any sort even if proven innocent. He doesn’t really make jokes much, but just the fact of how animated and comical he is makes most laugh. He enjoys having a smoke, good liquor and cooking and eating his food. He also enjoys music, both playing and listening to it, which he does to impress women (he is also a bit of a romantic in his own special way). He dislikes crime with a burning passion, and also hates bad liquor.
