Home Village/Ocean: Small isolated island in the East Blue

Appearance: Chiyo has long black hair that would, assuming it were to lay flat hit about her mid back, however due to its state it appears far shorter then it is. Placed into layers and sticking up in all directions as if never brushed, her hair is very inconsistent in the way it's set as it changes all the time, sometimes looking far shorter then it is and sometimes looking longer. When she leaves her hair in a more brushed style, she keeps it under hats or bandannas varying colours from white to black in the colour spectrum. Her eyes are light blue in colour but more black and must be looked at very closely to see the blue in them. Chiyo has pale skin.

Chiyo wears martial arts Gi's almost all the time of different colours, however she mostly wears orange, red, teal or blue Gi's, and sometimes purple. Along with these come wristbands of white, dark blue, red, lighter blue or even orange.

One of Chiyo's favorite outfits is one she has copies of for each age she is able to take. This consists of golden boots, gray pants, a black tank top, indigo jacket and a pole strapped to her back as if a sword to a shieth. This, oddly enough is more of her casual wear then the Gi's, something she wears when trying to remain inconspicuous and to blend in.

Aside from wristbands, she can also be seen wearing gloves, mainly white which extend a bit past her wrist or finger-less gloves which make it easier to wield any weapon she has without straining her hands too much.

History:

Long ago, there was a man who lived alone on a jungle filled island with huge animals of all kinda, including some that would seam to be like chimera's, mixes of two different animals like a birdpig. This man was a martial artist and trained on this island for over thirty years. Now, to call him a hermit would be incorrect as he had not always been alone. For a large sum of his life he'd had a wife whom he loved dearly. The two never had children and upon the women's death 2 years into their stay at the island, the old man was left alone. His wife had become very ill and had died a slow death over the course of several months, being without doctors to help cure her; she was buried on the island and her husband refused to leave it.

One stormy night, a women arrived on the island in a small tattered boat. The women was badly injured and it was a miracle she'd lasted as long as she had. Upon reaching the island and getting herself and her boat on shore, she collapsed and died almost instantly, something wrapped still tightly in her cold dead arms as she lay on her side. The following morning, the old martial artist went to do what he normally did, get breakfast which today happened to be fish.

When he had reached the beach he normally fished at on the edge of hte island, he discovered much to his horror, the dead body of a young women. Moving closer toward he he found she was holding something. Rolling her over onto her back so he could view what she was holding more closely, he discovered it to be an infant wrapped in torn clothing fabrics.

Taking the infant carefully from the women grip, he carried it back to his house to tend to it and found the child to be female. Figuring the women to have been her mother, the hermit man returned to the beach and retrieved the body, burying it beside that of his wife's and making a tomb stone to accompany it. Once this was done, the old man retreated into his house to tend to the tiny girl he'd been left with.

Needless to say, after being alone for so long the man was elated to have sometime as company. The child was then named Gochiyo Kami which meant Fiver-thousand-Generation God. The man raised the girl as if she were his own and became her grandfather. As she grew, he would tell her stories of his wife and of what a great women her mother had been, though he didn't know her he assumed she was a fantastic mother and had to have had some reason for taking a child so far away from civilization: After all, what child would want to hear "Hey I found you in your dead mother's arms." from the only family they had. Along with these stories, the man told of his travels with his wife at sea, of a former life as a pirate and of the greatness he wished her to have in life.

Once she was old enough, Gochiyo began to learn how to fight both hand to hand and with weapons. Upon age three, she stumbled across an odd fruit she'd never seen before. Now, we can all guess what happened because everyone knows when a three year old is hungry and finds food, their ganna eat it. That is exactly what Gochiyo did, at the fruit. Upon eating it her body began to pulse, excruciating pain surging through her body as he grew and grew. When the pain stopped, Chiyo discovered she was taller then she had been, by at elast two feet. Panicking, the child ran to find her grandfather and showed him herself. to his shock, his three year old ward appeared as though she were at least nine in age but maintained her mentality as a three year old. Having had some experience with Devil Fruits over the years, or rather the users of such fruits, the explanation became obvious though he didn't know how to explain to the freaked out child.

Thinking for a moment he asked the girl to think of her old appearance, of the last time she looked into a mirror and she did, this caused the pain to return but her body to shrink back to normal. After explaining that she'd now have special powers which he worded as having Superpowers, he began to try to teach her how to control them.

Master Kami(the grandpa cause their last name is Kami) soon began to teach Gochiyo to read and she eventually found a surprising large stash of books in the attic of the small house, when asked about them, her grandfather explained they used to belong to his wife and that she was a great fan of learning, wanting to know everything about everything. Chiyo would spend hours after training reading these books and took a particular interest in the ones about the history of the world. However, her grandfather was not pleased with her spending so much time inside the house and built her a sort of fort using a cave, there they stashed the books and she would read them.

Due to the stories she heard from her grandfather, Gochiyo desired to travel the world and learn all she could about it's history and become a great fighter. Master Kami admired this about his granddaughter and encouraged her to follow her dreams. However tragedy struck when Gochiyo was the tender age of six when a ship arived at their small island.

This was no normal ship, but that of the marines, old-man Kami was a former pirate and still had a bounty on his head, a small one but regardless it was money. It had been a fluke, sheer coincidence that the marines had stumbled onto the small island and found an old wanted man. This particular batch of marines didn't care that the man was no longer a pirate, he would still get them some money and so, they hunted him and eventually killed him after much trouble.

Watching her only family die, the young child became angry and set as many traps as she could of varying types from pitfalls to a rope in a tree that you step on and it dangles you in the tree. This caught a few marines and trapped them which pleased the child greatly. While she waited for her traps to work their magic, the child rummaged through her grandfathers old things and found something odd that came with a manual of sorts written by the old man, it was called a Flame Dial. Upon a quick skim of the manual, she got the jist of it and hid the remaining stuff in her secret area. Returning back to the traps, she looked into the pitfall and found two men who seemed to figure out who she was rather quickly based on the fact that only the old man was supposed to have been there and they had found evidence of a child living with him in the house. The reaction they got from her was not one of joy to be saved, but rather one of pure rage as she unleashed a stream of fire, burning the men alive causing them to then die.

Her next trap was the rope one where she cut down the rope and proceeded to wail on the marines as fast as she could, beating them to bloody pulps before they had time to react. Once all marines on her island were knocked out or in the case of the pitfall men, dead, the girl moved toward their ship, bringing a strange pole she'd found of her grandfathers, he'd told her of it once, said it ate a devil fruit like she had so it had to be useful. Changing clothing, she shifted into a young women of about twenty years old and faked being a kidnap victim held by her grandfather, allowing the marines to bring her aboard their ship.

Once there, she knocked them out with her pole and strangely good fighting skills and began destroying their ship. To her annoyance, a second marine vessel was coming toward them, it had been in search of the lost marine ship and had found it. However just before it could get close enough, Gochiyo's hostage ship blew up just after she'd gotten off of it, she'd gotten her revenge now. Several marines were dead, the ones on the ship and the two in the pitfall while two more were out cold.

As fast as she could, Gochiyo retrieved everything she was able to carry and hid it in her hide out, covering the entrance and making it blend into the rock around it, There she hid, scared and sad for a few days while she waited for the marines to leave. They did leave, eventually and deemed the island empty thinking the child had died in the ship explosion.

For years she lived alone on that island, visiting and talking to her dead grandfather, grandmother and mother, being sure to have buried her grandfather next to the rest of her family. She studied the books over and over, learning what she could, trained for days at a time taking little time to rest. Eventually she began to build a boat, or rather repair the one her grandfather had stashed away(her mother's boat) and left the island shortly before her 15th birthday.

Personality:
Gochiyo Kami is a shy and incredibly intellectual and loves to study even to a fault. She is gentle in nature and very curious about almost everything. She loves martial arts and fighting though not unless she wants to: Gochiyo will not fight unless she needs to or feels threatened.

Chiyo can be both very childish but mature at the same time though tends to be more childish most of the time and serious when it's called for. She has a very large apatite which can be a problem. Gochiyo loves to train her martial arts and sword fighting skills and tends to go overboard and train till she collapses or comes close to doing so.

Despite Chiyo's lack of social graces which she intends on improving upon, she is somewhat good in certain situations. One thing most people will learn is she is very sneaky and loves to shrink herself to fit in small spaces and frighten people. Along with this Chiyo loves to trick people and tries and sometimes fails to avoid going overboard.

Due to the way she was raised and the lack of female presence in her life, Gochiyo has become a rather tomboyish person in how she dresses and makes herself look, not caring for make-up or cute things as much as some others.

-Stretchy Slam: User slams down the pole causing it to stretch as it does making a seemingly close range attack a long range attack.
-Pole Cannon: User stretches out their pole so that once it recoils, it hit the foe with the power of a cannon.
-Pole Pogo: User uses the pole as a pogo stick, when doing this the user can move at soru speeds.
-Pogo Slam: Uses uses the pogo pole technique and slams it down on the foe adding their body weight to the force of the attack.
-Rapid Cannon: The user rapidly jabs the pole at the foe creating a barrage of powerful cannon level attacks.
-Pole Whirlwind: The user spins the rubber pole around creating a whirlwind like attack of rubber in front of themselves.
-Pole Helicopter: User spins the pole over their head causing it to stretch out and hit all surrounding foes with in a 30 meter radius.
-Nimble Force: the user ages herself to her most agile, a young teenager allowing her to dodge attacks using her speed and flexible body.
-Maidens Furry: When using nimble force the user uses her great speed to get close to the foe and rapidly and repeatedly punches the target.
