Serious: The Milky Way Pirates Chapter 1: adventure in Windmill Village ((THREAD CLOSED TO EVERYONE EXCEPT MASQUERADE))

cast ignored saki.cast stood up and laughed a little.it was a silent psychopathic.cast moved at a speed close to soru speed at adamand and tried to punch him with a fist charged with lightning.adamand saw it on time and blocked the attack with the blunt side of the blade.the amount of electricity released was enough to melt half of the blade,but casts punch became less powerful by the second so he sent a shock-wave toward adamand.the shock-wave was strong and adamand was sent flying toward the sea.

An odd figure glided towards the dock inside a wooden box. The rowing of oars left small ripples in the ocean. As it pulled closer and closer to the port it became obvious this stranger was a man lost in a one-sided conversation. As his boat hit land, he extended his lanky legs and left the ship. He had not taken the time to tie the ship down and so it soon drifted away. The man stroked his chin as he watched his vessel disappear.
"Well, we'll need a new boat now, huh?" The man mumbled to himself as he turned towards the city. The sight of multiple larger ships caught his eye. "So many boats, which should we go for?" There were quite a few choices and he was not quite sure which he wished to commandeer. He slumped over for a moment, thinking intently on which indeed was the best. One vessel in particular caught his eye. "How about this one, Remus?" He nodded his head in agreement, "Exactly as you said it, Roman."
The man stood straight up and strolled towards the ship he had chosen, not knowing it was the epicenter of shenanigans. His stride was urgent in a way that distanced himself from the casual gait of the average man. He walked with a purpose; he wanted that ship. He was oblivious to the shouts coming from his objective. He did not notice the chaos around him as he arrived at his destination.
He slowly walked around the ship, assessing it from all angles. He noticed it's name was rather gallant, "the Andromeda" was a barge worth its name. He reached to his holsters and drew his two large pistols, preparing for his conquest.
"Ready, guys?" His voice was gruff. The determination in his tone was almost palpable. "Roman, make sure Remus doesn't get in too much trouble this time." He sighed, thinking of last heist's shenanigans, "Don't embarrass good ol' Buchanan again, okay?" His gun cried out as he fired a shot into the sky.

More commotion? Rarely a dull moment with these guys. Genshi ran out out of the kitchen and at the scene. Cast apparently wounded, Adamand apparently sent flying. Was there an attack? Genshi unsheathed his swords and ran up to Saki.

"Is there an enemy? Did he or she just attack?" he asked, somewhat panicked.

He heard a gun shoot into the air. As if by reflex, Genshi covered his entire body with a clay to protect himself.

Saki looked at Adamand as he was sent flying to the sea, she looked at Cast. "Please, I know it's your brother and all, but restrain from hurting or send flying one of my crew mates" she said in a serious tone and look.
Then she suddenly heard a gun shoot into the air and her attention was captured by a man who was on the ship, her eyes widened and she went to the man. "Who are you? What are you doing on my ship?!" she asked in a loud voice, making it seem like she was screaming.

Buchanan heard someone talking to him, but he ignored them at first. His mission didn't require conversation. He walked past her and then began scouting out the deck of the ship. Mid-stride he stopped and turned around.
"You're right Roman, I should talk to her." He mumbled to himself quietly, "nice shot by the way, Remus." Buchanan looked at Saki for a moment before returning his gaze to the floor. He tightened his grip on the two guns and placed his fingers on the trigger. He was ready for combat, but his friends told him he needed to converse with the lady.
"Who am I? Well, my name is..." Buchanan paused for a moment, trying to remember his name, "...Byrne. Buchanan Byrne is my name. As for what I am doing on this ship, your ship, well..." He had no desire to drag out this speech, so he kept his responses short, "Your ship is better than my ship; I want it. I don't need to kill you for it." Buchanan hadn't thought much about the ship dilemma. Perhaps he should've considered sharing the vessel, but his only thoughts were on the impressive quality of the boat. He noticed a strange quarrel. "What the hell is that?"
Buchanan raised his right hand toward Cast and Adamand, waving a gun barrel in their general direction. Their fight put him on edge; his index finger was slowly pushing the trigger down. If there was a sudden reaction, he was ready to shoot. He raised his second gun rapidly, pointing this one toward Saki.
"If this gets messy.... who should I kill first?" Buchanan's whisper was too quiet for anyone to hear except Remus and Roman. He nodded his head and snapped his left arm away from Saki and trained his other pistol on the two fighters. "Those two could be trouble; the angry one more so."
"I'm sorry for pointing a gun at you. Kind of." His words were blunt, but he certainly spoke the truth.

"Who is he talking too?" genshi kept asked himself

An intruder nonetheless, Genshi had to defend his crew. Wait, he was gonna shoot Saki? Unacceptable. No, he was gonna shoot Cast. Genshi sheathed his swords and ran in front of Cast. if he were to get shot, he'd survive, due to his armor.

As Grudge was finishing a meal of meat he managed to pilfer from the fridge when no-one was looking, he made his way up top of the deck to investigate what was the cause of all the noise, complaining; "Dudes, I know you guy's are excited that a star is on board but seriously, cool it." He then realised that the group of men wanted to attack them, and at least leave them all very badly bruised. "Permisson to go all rock god on their a**es captain??", the fishman guitarist shouted out to his captain, reading to reveal his guitars nasty suprise.

Alek was taking a stroll near the docks when he heard gunfire. Troubled by the theory if it were pillagers or something related to that, he headed down there quickly. When he got there, something caught his eye that nothing else did: a ship, a lot of people and noise.
"They don't look like raiders or pillagers, but there seems to be some commotion. But this looks interesting, I should stay." Alek mumbled to himself
Entranced by the interest of everything that was going on, Alek just stood there in plain site, staring at all of the action like it was something magnificent.

Arianne nodded quietly to Avery, smiling faintly. "Alright then. Be safe on the docks..."
She went back to her reading, sifting through the pages, her blue eyes locked firmly on the pages- however her reading session did not go undisturbed and it wasn't long before she was forced to notice the loud commotion going on on the upper deck.
"It would appear needless violence is about to occur,"she thought grimly.

Sighing and sensing trouble, she rose and made her way up the steps from the galley, her heels clicking at each step and her blonde hair rippling at her shoulders.
Her eyebrows raised at Avery's wet clothes and she opened her mouth to question him about it but her eyebrows quickly furrowed once more at the sight of the attackers.
Exhaling cooly, she drew her sabre from her belt holster and walked to stand next to Saki. "Uninvited guests, captain?"
She surveyed Roman, Remus and Buchanan with calculative eyes.

"Crap crap crap!" thought the small figure as it ran through the town, several marines hot on it's heals. "Hey! Stop brat!" the marines exclaimed as they pursued the small figure. This was not good, it was going to be caught and they'd figure out who it was they were chasing, take them in for the bounty to be imprisoned or worse they would kill the figure instead, the bounty didn't specify weather they wanted the target dead or alive and a dead prize was easier to bring back to collect the money.

As the figure ran, it became clear what it was that the marines were chasing after and an odd sight it would seem. The small figure was a child, a little girl with too-long black hair draping down her back, an orange bandanna covering her mouth and nose so no one could tell who she was. The child ran as fast as she could from these men till she saw a series of ships.

Seeing the ships the went for one, a small ship in size and jumped into it only to disappear within the cabin of the ship and take a window rout out before hte marines could find her. The child stood there for a second analyzing a much larger ship for places to use to climb onto it, eyes latching onto the name of the ship Andromeda, nice name. She jumped then, launched herself at the ship as high as she could get and latched on with her small hands.

Desperate not to fall, she tried to climb onto the ship using what she saw she had, if she fell, she'd hit the water, drown and die and that was the last thing she wanted. Finally getting to the ship's floor baring part she sighed and ducked into a small empty place that was slightly too large for the eight year old looking girl and her possessions.
She frowned and closed her eyes as pain shot through her body, it was a normal pain but it still hurt. Her body shrank a little less then a foot and she soon re-opened her eyes to reveal a six year old version of herself in toolarge clothing. This would have to do for now though.

The figure climbed into the small hidden space with its own door, it must have been like, an old closet or something because there didn't seem to be anything in it and closed the door, huddling up to herself and hoping the marines would not find her.

Avery watched events unfold in silence. The idiots below had not answered his question, but were still yelling at the ship at the top of their lungs. At least, they had been before Snow attacked them. Cast and Adamand were fighting again. No surprise there, considering all of the duels they had had since arriving. Then some gun waving maniac jumped on board the ship after firing a single shot into the air. He had pointed one gun at Cast and the other at Saki. Avery considered helping, but with his level of skill, he decided it was best if he just stood back and watched. And then there were Marines running down the docks. Hopefully they wouldn’t figure out that this was a pirate ship, but considering how things were going, Avery doubted that.

Avery sighed. Could this day get any more troublesome? At least he had Arianne’s reappearance on the main deck to cheer him up. But she was talking to the captain, so he left her too it.

“Looks like this crew’ll have to prove itself pretty soon,” Avery muttered under his breath to Lawrence.

Saki's eyes widened as she gun was pointed towards her, she didn't like this but she sort of felt that this stranger wasn't evil, she wasn't sure though, him having a gun pointed towards her that would certainly kill her in once.

"I'm Saki Star. And...could you please restrain to kill any of my crew members? and me" she said in a polite voice, trying to not make this stranger mad.

"And indeed you don't need to kill me for using this ship, if you join my crew, that is, you can use the ship and be in adventures, one day, we'll conquer the grand line and we'll be the best crew ever" she said, now her ideals for the crew, she couldn't help but smile slightly while voicing them out.

Saki then noticed Arianne standing besides her and she smiled. "Yes, well kind of, those men who are on the docks said they could mess with us or something, and they want On. So we have to show them a lesson, and well this is Buchanan Byrne. Buchanan Byrne, this is Arianne Greyson" she said motioning to Arianne.

"Ah, I would really appreciate if you stop pointing me with this gun" she added to Buchanan, with a smile on her face.

"Wait a second guys... Maybe we don't need to steal this ship." Buchanan was shocked at this notion, but he could tell Remus and Roman agreed with him. "I'm new to the peaceful approach, Remus help me out..." Buchanan nodded for a moment and then shook his head, "umm... No. That is a definite no. That is the worst idea ever Remus. Just an absolutely terrible idea," A look of horror formed across his face and he continued, "Roman... could you perhaps give me a better, far less disturbing idea?" He paused for a short second and then laughed a manly laugh, "You've got some great ideas Roman."
To anyone watching Buchanan he looked like a madman. To be fair, he was one hundred percent a madman. However; for once in his life he was going to make a completely rational decision. He lowered his weapons to his sides and took in a shallow breath. As ridiculous as Cast and his brother were, for once Buchanan was not going to shoot. It was tasking to restrain himself from shooting at the two bastards who dared annoy his friends, but that was not the biggest challenge he faced. Buchanan had to do the impossible; he had to apologize. As he returned his attention to Saki, he grew angrier. Buchanan hated apologizing, even when he was at fault (which he wasn't!). What was he sorry for? Pointing a gun in one person's face? He remembered an old addage "You can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs". Buchanan didn't want breakfast, but he understood what it meant. A voice in his head Roman told him he was wrong, so Buchanan pushed himself and tested his willpower.
"Erm...." He cleared his throat with an impressively gruff noise, "About the shoving Remus in your face thing..." Buchanan felt highly embarrassed but masked the shame in his voice with a growl, "...I didn't mean it." He patted the young lass on the head and continued, "You're a good kid. I like your ship, 'ya forgive me? let me stay on board?" Buchanan had to win her over somehow, "I shoot like a damn pro."

Arianne bowed her head formally to Buchanan (and Roman and Remus by association), looking a little creeped out at the madman's behaviour.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, sir," she said, tucking her sabre away. She smiled briefly at her captain's constant patience and good will. "His talents as a marksman might serve the crew well, Captain Star," she added, dropping her voice a little. "Though you may want to keep an eye on his state of mind..."

She bowed again to Saki and then headed over to Avery, raising an eyebrow at his expression. "You look a little exasparated." She bent down to stroke Lawrence's head. "Might I ask why your clothes are wet?"

Subconsciously, Alek found himself walking closer and closer to the ship. Even though he already had a good view of what was going on, he felt like there was a pull towards it.

Alek saw the wolf jump out and attack the people not on the ship, he was surprised and sort of hopped back a little. He was scared, yet amazed that such an animal possesses such power.

"Wow that's some pet those guys have." Alek exclaimed loudly.

Avery’s gaze softened as Arianne came over and spoke to him. “Well, there’s just a lot going on,” he replied. “And way too many psychopaths for my taste.” He looked down at himself and grimaced. “Yeah, my boat kinda floated away and I had to go get it. Not fun, especially when you can rust.”

Lawrence closed his eyes in ecstasy and leaned into her hand. His tail started thumping against the deck as well. Then suddenly, without warning, he fell onto his side and rolled over exposing his belly to be scratched.

“Heh…looks like he’s fallen in love already,” Avery said with a grin. Lawrence cast Avery a smug look that Avery interpreted as ‘You’re just jealous’. Without thinking, Avery snapped at him, “What’re you talking abou…” His voice trailed off and he looked at Arianne, embarrassed. “Sorry, force of habit.” Avery sighed. That was no good. It would only confuse her. “What I mean is, well, I don’t talk to people much so sometimes I imagine Lawrence says things.” Avery smiled slightly. “And here I am calling other people crazy.”

Grudge stood for a while in shock that the new comers hadn't recognised who he was, and started having doubts about his own fame. Am I really famous? Maybe my awesomeness has dulled over the years? Wait impossible! It's just i'm so awesome that people forget who I am! Yeah that must be it!, the musician thought to himself. He then heard someone comment loudly about Snow, and an unfamiliar voice at that. Grudge looked round and saw a new face arrive on the seen. "Eh, why are there so many wierdos showing up? Wait! They must be my fans wanting join the crew because of hearing that i'm here! Man, looks like were gonna need a bigger boat if that's the case!", he said smuggly, loud enough for all that was present to hear.

Arianne stared at him for a moment and then laughed softly, scratching Lawrence's belly in compliance with his wishes. "You're not crazy...you just have good empathy with your partner, here. That's respectable. Animals are often easier to understand and get along with than people..."

She looked over at Buchanan again and furrowed her eyebrows before shrugging. "People with mental issues often interest me scientifically...but when they bring danger to those around me, I'm not comfortable with being around them." Her eyes rolled at Grudge's loud declaration and she mentally felt the need to facepalm.

Arianne continued to scratch Lawrence's belly, smiling again, her eyebrows raised in mild surprise. "Fallen in love with me, already? I'm flattered...no one's ever fallen in love with boring, bookish me..."

Arianne looked at Avery's mechanical leg with interest, tilting her head. Part of her wanted to ask how he had gotten it, but she tactfully decided to restrain her curiosity for once- fearing any memories that she might unnearth."Your replacement leg is expertly crafted, Avery...it's wonderful really. I imagine it must be invaluable in situations of combat..."
She lifted a hand for a moment, about to touch the metal leg behind the damp cloth of Avery's trousers but she stopped herself, coughing, her cheeks turning a soft pink. "I apologize. How rude of me..." She smiled sheepishly. "My awful curiosity regarding metalwork and physics and such..."

Avery nodded slowly, glancing over at Grudge and then Buchanan with upraised eyebrows. Had this world been like one of those manga he used to read, he figured this would be the point where he sweatdropped.

“Yeah, maybe you’re right,” he said to Arianne out of the corner of his mouth. “I’m not all that crazy.”

He then turned to grin at her, but his smile slid away when she said that no one had ever fallen in love with her. He found that hard to believe.

Then the conversation turned to his mechanical leg. She said it had been expertly crafted. He couldn’t say for sure whether she was right or not. Back when he and the weaponsmith he was apprenticed to had built it, neither of them had any real clue as to what they were doing. Admittedly, this was not the same leg as the one they had originally created. At least, most of it wasn’t. Over the years Avery had tweaked it until it had reached the level of efficiency it now had.

“It’s okay I guess,” he muttered as the conversation now turned to the leg’s uses for battle. “It has helped me out on several occasions.” Like her, he blushed slightly as she almost touched it, but when she pulled back and apologized he shook his head. “I don’t mind,” he said. “Here.” He sat down and rolled his right pants leg up to his knee. “Look at it if you want. Or touch it. It doesn’t matter to me. It couldn’t matter.” He gazed at it sadly. “It’s connected to my nerves, but I can’t even feel it. Not even on the inside.” He hesitated and then added, “A leg like this is wonderful, as you said, but it’s no replacement for the real thing.”

Turns out that there was not to be a fight on the deck, wonderful. And it appeared he wanted to join. That was equally wonderful. With the crisis averted, Genshi receded his clay armor.

"Well that was fun series of events, If that's all there is, i'm going back to the kitchen. Come get me if something happens, like another crisis." he said, walking back to the kitchen.

On his way, he stopped and turned to Grudge,just to look at him.

"You're a musician? I've never heard of you and apparently, neither has anyone else on this ship." he said,

Even if Grudge was one of the most famous people of the world, Genshi wasn't one to get involved in 'popular culture' as the youths of today called it. With that, he returned to his original route to the kitchen.

Grudge jaw dropped after hearing what Genshi told him, and stood in shock for a few moments. Fear of this actually being reality turned into panic for a few moments, to which Grudge let out a frightened yelp and paled considerably. He then regained his composure and shouted out unsurely after Genshi with the only solution he could think f; "Ha ha ha! Good one cook dude! You almost had me there! Ha! The guy's such a kidder, me not being famous! Please! I'm a rock legend!", he then looked around nervously for a few seconds before loudly asking; "So, you new dudes. probably are gonna join us right? So why's that, apart from the fact I'm here of course!"

Arianne gingerly lifred a hand and ran her hand along the metal shin, surveying the mechanisms with highly interested eyes. She trailed her fingertips up to the metallic patella and felt how strong it was.
"Hmm..."
She looked to Avery, noticing the sorrow in his eyes and feeling a pang of guilt in her chest. Maybe she shouldn't have been so inquisitive? Things must have been so difficult for him. He was right- such a leg was a great asset in battle but an amputation could hardly make up for the lost limb.

Arianne delicately moved her hand from his knee to lift his chin so that his eyes met hers. "Avery...you're very brave. Muy valiente. Things must have been hard for you...but you don't strike me as the kind of person who's been weakened by his trials. On the contrary, you are sensible and strong-minded...I don't know for certain, but I also imagine that you are quite the fighter." She smiled gently, gesturing to Lawrence as she went back to stroking him. "Yet you also have been pure of heart enough to have found a loyal companion...and to show kindness to a nosy stranger..."

Saki nodded and smiled "It's ok and sure you're more than welcomed to stay here and travel with us" Saki said and then turned to look over the docks "...I think Snow needs help, let's go?" she said while fixing her fighting mittens.

Wow, another crew member, this really is my lucky day...Saki thought with a smile on her face, she was happy that her crew was becoming bigger and bigger, people with good intentions joining her on her adventure.

Saki was sure that one day, that one day they would conquer the grand line and not only that but they will also be the best crew ever, and being the best crew ever, everyone will be able to accomplish their own personal goals/dreams, like hers.

Jack watched Snow fight the bandits, but he thought he needed help. Soruing away from the ship and in front of the bandit closest to him, Jack used his ninja blade to slash at his stomach, cutting him and making blood spew out of his stomach. Jack sighed and was ready to help Snow more when a blade pierced his arm. A bandit with a knife snorted triumphantly, but he would have been running if he knew what was coming next; Jack;s other side was about to surface. For a moment he just stood still, but then a grin spread across his face, not just any kind of grin, a sickly grin, kind of like he was about to check into a mental hospital, which wouldn't have been a bad idea. He then took the man by the arm and pulled it and the knife out of him. Turning around, he took his ninja blade and slashed it at his neck. Blood shot out in a wide arc, getting on Jack's face, making him grin more. Turning around, he looked around

"Ah, its good to be back" he said, then facing the bandits "Who's next?"

Wow…she really thought a lot of him. Avery wasn’t quite sure how to respond to something like that. He felt he should compliment her right back, but how?

It was fortunate for Avery that he was already blushing, because he turned an even brighter shade of red when he realized how close they were. An odd, almost overwhelming desire to kiss her stole over him, but he shoved it right back down. That was a stupid idea. Sure, he might have spoken to her a lot that day, but he still hardly knew her.

Fortunately, Saki saved him the trouble of having to find a reply. She was right, they needed to help Snow, even if he was the most irritating dog Avery had ever had the misfortune of meeting. So, Avery quickly stood and pushed his pants’ leg back down before offering a hand to Arianne to help her back to her feet.

“We should probably go and help the others right now,” Avery said. “But…um…talk later?”
