Serious: Annachie and Delphi Prequel, chapter 1: Forming an Alliance (for valawsedit's Annachie Dawn)

annachie blushed a lot when she rested her head on his chest and said "you being a mermaid makes you even more beautiful" annachie didnt believe he had the confidence to say this. annachie stroked her and pushed her long brown hair away to be able to see her face and looked at her and said "i have had few masters before but you are the only one who has done something for me" annchie then was comepletly relaxed.

Delphi's cheeks turned a bright pink at his words- no one had ever called her "beautiful" before. She wrapped her arms around him a little more firmly and hugged him again in thanks, clearly flattered and very happy with him.
"Annachie, you're so charming...possibly the sweetest man I've ever met. Like I said before, I was born into a convent...and the last crew I was on was all-female. The men that I came into contact with..." Delphi shuddered. "They were never really very nice to me at all."
She smiled again. "But you're different. You're...one of a kind." She giggled, stroking his side delicately. "And your last masters were wrong to do whatever they did to you. I promise to take care of you...you're a human being. You're a special human being. Your life has value and should be respected..."

annachie blushed lots when delphi told him he was the mor charming and sweetest man she had met. had never been told he was worth something by his master and he really liked this girl and couldnt think how anyone could do something mean to delphi he said "if anyone is mean to you i will be there to protect you. not only because you are my master i really like you". annachie hugged her back and kissed her on the cheek

Delphi blinked at the kiss to her cheek and smiled wider than before, a little shy but also absolutely thrilled at the sense of happiness and peace that he brought to her. She gently stroked his warm chest with her fingertips, tracing the muscle-lines.
"Thank you, Annachie. I feel so safe when I'm with you, all of a sudden..." Her smile became soft as she looked up at him, her hand reaching up to cup and stroke his face. "And...I really like you too." A small line of blush crept across her cheeks.
She leaned up closer to him, propping herself up on her elbow and looking down into his eyes, their noses almost touching. "Would you still like me though...if you knew that...I was a pirate?" Delphi's eyes became sad at the prospect of losing the young man that she had already forged such a bond with.

annachie looked into delphi's eyes and said "theirs nothing wrong with you being a pirate" annachie said this with smile to reasure her he gave her another hug and when his eyes were past hers he thought of all the pirate owners he had been with and they were horrible memories when he stopped hugging dephi he tried to hide all the memories that had flooded back and ressured her "i would never leave you even if you are a pirate" for in his eyes he wanted to stay with delphi but she didnt want her to know her bad experiances with pirates.

Delphi smiled gently at his words, immediately overjoyed that he did not care that she was a pirate. "Thank you for accepting me, Annachie...I never want you to leave me. We've only just met but I already feel so at peace with you...happier than I've been in a long time, actually."

She hugged him back, tightly and warmly but then, drawing back, she saw his eyes and the pain behind them at his memories there.
Delphi's brows arched and she leaned in closer to him, kissing his cheek gently before saying.
"Annachie...I wish I could free you from your pain...I wish I could take it all away..."
She kissed him on the cheek again, looking up into his eyes.

annachie saw that delphi really cared for him and his feelings he was a little more peaceful when she kissed him twice then he said "thank you that means lots to me" when he got his strength back he felt it and said "you cause me to be peaceful and calm and i dont know what i would do if we were split up" he looked at her

Delphi exhaled happily at this and took his hand.
"Let's promise not to ever split up then. You mean a lot to me, Annachie."

She gave him another warm hug and a soft kiss on the nose before sitting up.
"I see you've got your strength back. That's great."
The young woman stood up and ran her fingers back through her hair as she looked out of the window of the small inn room.

"It's getting a little dark out...but since you've already slept, maybe you'd like to go on a walk to stretch your legs?"

annachie got up and said to delphi "ok lets go i need to stretch and it would be nice to walk somewhere without going into the sea , sorry" annachie then went to the door and his thoughts continued and quickly stopped again but he looked at his shoulder because it was nearly ripped out it was weak and has been weak for the last few month because he had to use his arm as a cannon and his shoulder as a brace he then said "lets go"

Delphi nodded, turning away from the window. "Yes, we should probably stay away from th-" She blinked as she followed Annachie's gaze to his shoulder, her voice quietening. "...sea."

Her eyelids lowered and she slowly approached him, looking at his wounded shoulder with concerned eyes. "Wait a moment, Annachie. Your shoulder is hurt. Let me take care of it first..."
Delphi smiled reassuringly and guided Annachie to sit down on the edge of the bed. "I'm just going to bandage up the wound and put something on it to ease the pain..."
She opened her medical bag and produced a handful of various herbs, starting to sort them out on the dressing table.
Delphi looked over her shoulder at Annachie with a gentle smile. "Can you remove your shirt please? I need to look at the wound..."

annachie wsat down on the bed and took of his shirt covering his shoulder he then said "its fine i think it may have been little burned and its i think its slightly dislocated or the socket and ball joint has been slightly smashed up but its fine" he wanted to get back up but he stayed down because he thought it would be best to have a doctor look at it and delphi was a doctor.

Delphi returned to his side with a small bowl of meshed herbs as well as a little roll of white bandage and knelt down on the bed beside him.
"Hmmm...I see..."
She studied the tattered, misshapen flesh and delicately felt the wound with her fingertips. Her eyebrows furrowed. "You're right. Your scapula joint is completely knocked out of place. The actual joint itself has been damaged..." Delphi's green eyes traced the area carefully. "But its nothing that I shouldn't be able to fix up..." She bit her lip. "I'm sorry Annachie, but this is going to hurt for a moment." She gently slipped her hand into his. "Here, squeeze my hand if you need to..."
With that, she pressed the heel of her half to his distorted bone and pushed it slowly back into place, allowing Annachie to hold on to her hand for comfort.
Immediately afterwards, she began to massage the herbal mixture into the weakened area, to take the pain away and to help heal the skin.
She started to tie a bandage around his arm. "Is that any better?"

annachies shoulder hurt like hell so he squeezed delphis hand to the point of almost breaking the bones and he let go and kissed it when the pain went away and said "yes that feels alot better it feels stronger and less painful " after the bandage was dont he went to the door and said "shall we go for that walk?"

Delphi winced a little as he squeezed her hand tightly but did not cry out, blushing again moments later as he kissed it. The young doctor looked happy at his shoulder being less painful than before and nodded, standing and following him to the door.
"Yes, let's go. It'll be nice to get some fresh air."

Outside the sky was starting to phase to a dark, inky blue following the sunset. The air was sharp and cool and laden with the scent of salt from the roaring sea in the distance, at the harbor.
The streets were starting to empty, people going home and shady-looking figures hanging around in gangs outside taverns and stores.

annachie was good they were in the fresh air he held her hand holding onto something in his pocket for emergancies the bag he was holding was a small one filled with a small cannonball and gunpowder he would use it as defence for delphi. he then said "the night sky it is almost as beautiful as you are" as they walked he didnt know where they were headed so he said "want to go down to the beach?"

Delphi looked up at Annachie in surprise and then bashfully said: "Th-thank you..." clearly unused to people talking about the way she looked, much less comparing her to the night sky. She kissed his cheek with a giggle in thanks, keeping her hand in his. "I'm not really that beautiful though... the night sky is gorgeous..."
She looked up at the first tiny diamond stars starting to peek out against the horizon and then looked to Annachie. "Yes. I'd like to go down to the beach...but we can stay out of the water if you'd prefer," she added.
Delphi held Annachie's hand as they came down to the sand, smiling but then froze at the sight of several half-drunk, uniformed Marines sauntering across the pier.

annachie went down to the beach and he saw the marines but he thought nothing of it if they came towards them and tryed to do anything to delphi he would massacre them he said to delphi "you can swim if you want i shall watch" when she doubted her own beauty he said "nothing is as gorgeous as you" he noticed she looked worried because of the marines and he said "they wont do anything to you because i will destroy them first"

Delphi swallowed a little, still a tad nervous of their presence but immediately relaxed at his words. She hugged Annachie gently. "You're so brave...and charming..." She took a deep breath, feeling a little more secure. "Yes. I think I'll go for a swim then..."

Giving Annachie's hand one last squeeze, Delphi dropped her satchel bag of medicinal supplies and headed towards the shoreline.
However before she could make it, a hulking Marine suddenly turned and grabbed her arm, addressing her with a drunken slur:
"Hey there, little girl...out late, aren't you? Hmm, I think I've seen you around. I think I know you from somewhere." He looked over his shoulder to one of his sniggering friends. "Well, what do you think, guys? Do we know her?"

Delphi gave a shriek and tried to pull her arm away. "N-no...you don't know me...not at all...I-"
One of the other Marines chuckled and pulled out one of the wanted posters in his pocket. "Here we are. Beatrice "Delphi" Delfino...19 years old...wanted for piracy..."
Delphi froze as the Marine holding her, dragged her closer. "Ah, a little pirate, hm? Well then cutie," he smirked, alcohol on his breath. "We need to escort you to our base..."
One of his friends hiccupped, waving a hand. "Ah, forget her, Shigeru. Her bounty is tiny. Barely worth the hassle..."
The Marine named Shigeru only chuckled and winked, pulling Delphi against his chest, surveying her. "A bounty is a bounty, nonetheless..."

Delphi's eyes widened and she screamed, kneeing the Marine hard in the groin. He growled, doubling over for a moment and then scowled at her darkly. "Right...you're going to regret that, little wench..."

annachie grabbed his small pouch and turned his arm into a cannon the arm changed into the cannon part small segments changing to metal as they turned into the parts of the cannon and his shoulder turned into a part to stop all the force knocking him over and the pouch he hel was automatically loaded and he fired , when he fired a load clunk sound came from his shoulder taking the huge strain from the cannon shot, at the big marine that was holding delphi and blew his chest apart and killed other marines and he shouted "GET THE FUCK OFF HER YOU DUMB SHITS" he was pissed that they dared to touch delphi he grabbed delphi with his other arm and said "sorry i couldnt react fast enough" he put her behind himself and loaded another shot.

The largest Marine holding Delphi didn't have the time to react as he was immediately blown to pieces. The other Marines that weren't killed in the ensuing blast, immediately took one look at Annachie, their eyes wide and horrified and ran off- too drunk to conciously retaliate and terrified of the effects of the Devil fruit.
Delphi blinked slowly, frozen to the spot in shock for a moment, the blood of the Marine splayed across her shirt. Watching the others run off, she immediately looked to Annachie, both of her hands coming to cup his face.
"Annachie! You were so courageous and...and...that was so daring...b-but the Marines will be after you too now." She gasped breathily, running her hand^ down his cannon-arm. "Are you hurt?"

annachie calmed down a little when the marines ran away and delphi was safe again and her arm running down his arm and said "i dont care if the marines are after me they might have a face to place to the weapon now" when his arm changed back to normal he knew that the cannon had screwed his shoulder again because it was still recovering and had been used so many times before one shard of shoulder was sticking out of the back from the recoil and not the entire shoulder changing. he said "im fine" he said this with a soft smile on his mouth and hiding the shard with his shirt ,it didnt work very well though because there was blood running down from it, he then said "shall we stay here or do you want to get something to eat" he was a little hungry

Delphi's eyes widened at the blood coming from his shirt, instantly noticing the shard, sticking out. She stroked Annachie's cheek with her thumb.
"We should go and get something to eat. But first..." She opened her medical bag again. "I'm going to fix up that shoulder of yours."
She guided him to sit on a rock, kneeling behind him and delicately removing his shirt so that she could get a better look at the lacerations. "Ok, Annachie. This might sting a little, but I promise it won't last long."

She began to remove the shard, stitching the wound up with a darning needle and pushing his shoulder back into its original shape. Sadness fell upon her
features as she worked. "Oh Annachie...your shoulder wouldn't have gotten so hurt if you weren't defending me...I'm so sorry...I really wish I was as extraordinary as you." Delphi sighed and rubbed some of her herbal mixtures into the wound to take the pain away before fixing the bandage around his shoulder once more and helping him to put his shirt back on, buttoning it for him. She spoke softly as she did so.
"Thank you for that. You're so brave. You really are my hero, this evening..."

And with that, Delphi leaned up and placed a soft kiss on his lips, blushing a little as she stood up.
"Now," she said with a bashful smile as she offered him her hand. "Shall we go back to the inn for some dinner?"

annachie took the pain and said "im sorry ive had to work you so much tonight if i were without you i would have died from the water or from some other owner" he blushed a little when she told him he was a hero and kissed him he kissed her back and gave her a huge hug not caring about his shoulder. when she asked to go for food he said "im sorry we couldnt stay longer but yes im hungry so we can go back if you want"

Delphi smiled as she returned the hug. "It's fine. I'd rather get something to eat now too...and you're cute when you blush, you know that?"
She tapped his cheek with a finger and gave his shoulder one last check before walking back up the streets with him to the inn.

The bar was slightly smoky and populated largely by several ambiguously dark-looking figures, crowded around tables, puffing on pipes and cigars, shovelling down food, chugging back tankards of grog and peering at maps- busty, squawking bar-maids flitting around the tables.
Delphi guided Annachie to a table, ordering food and looking up at some of the wanted posters pinned to the walls.
She looked back to her companion. "I'd like to get back out to sea again...as part of a crew, I mean. Maybe to the Grand Line. Tomorrow, I'm going to go look around the harbour for hiring captains..." She placed a hand over his. "Would you...be against coming to sea with me?"

annachie held lorelai close as they went through the bar he said when they sat down to a maid "give me something to drink that isnt that crap" he pointed to the grog she scurried away to get his order. when they sat down he looked at delphi into her eyes and said "i do not oppose going with you to the ocean but all i ask is that i keep close to you at all times when you find this new captain you can store me as anytool as a disguise." he looked at her eyes and waited for a response.
