GOFF: Manta vs Darnel

As Manta steps into the arena he takes a look at the marine that had been hiding his face with a cap and a hood. Apparently, that marine seemed to be quite dangerous. Manta had to be very careful with his movements. Yet, he knew that there were not many people in the world that happened to be stronger than him. He moved his scythe, pointing towards the marine's face with it. He said "You marine... You look like a good meal for me... Very good meal...", prepared to take him on. The battle between Darnel and Manta the "Chickenman" was about to start!

Darnel looked at the pirate with the 40,000,000 beli. He just couldn't let a pirate with such a high bounty. His horrible reputation depicts him slaughter hundreds of innocent people. Darnel looked at the marine with his snake eyes. He stuck out his snake tongue threatening the pirate "Put your scythe down boy. You don't have the skills to fight him."

Darnel put up his fists ready to fight.

"Do you really think so?" Manta said as he swung his scythe quickly, launching an air blade towards the marine horizontally that attempted to cut him in two. Although that was not the man's strongest attack it was a good way to start a fight and see how the opponent would dodge. The fight had just started after all. The first thing Manta had to do was to see through his opponent's tricks before he went with real attacks. That was what his brother taught him and that was what he always did in all of the battles in which he emerged victorious. The fighting spirit of the Maimou brothers was put in combat, once again.

Darnel bent his back down in a flexible way to duck the attack thanks to his df powers. Darnel pulled himself back up seeing these skill Darnel knew he couldn't be reckless with this guy. He turned into his cobra hybrid form revealing his devil fruit to mantra. Darnel then swung his tail in a vertical swing toward mantra. This attack could crush rock, so it could break mantra into two.

"Yes your skills are no match for me."

Manta laughed evily as he looked at the king cobra form of the marine. He got to battle a Devil Fruit user after all. That was impressive. He could probably put out an interesting battle after all. As he looked at the tail of the snake-human hybrid coming towards him, he said "Shockwave Fly!" as he started rapidly launching small shockwaves from his feet on the ground that gave him force to levitate on the air and dodge the swing attack before it was too late. Then, the pirate swung his scythe once more and went with the Scythe Windslash attack once more, sending an air slash that aimed for the cobra's head.

Darnel quickly shrunk himself to size of a ordinary snake barely dodging the attack. In fact the attack left a couple of scars on his arms bleeding slightly but no cause for alarm. Darnel knew that this guy would be tough. He turned back into his human form. This guy was powerful. Darnel ate one rumble in order to fight him. Darnel used his armor point which encased his entire body with snake scales kinda like a tough armor while still be in human form. It should protect him from most of the damage. Darnel leaped toward Mantra shooting out his left fist.

Seeing that it would be difficult to cause Darnel damage with the scythe as his body was surrounded by scales, the man decided to dodge the attack and go with another range attack. As the marine's fist was about to strike him, Manta leaped backwards and raised his right leg. He said "Shockwave!" and then he launched a Shockwave from his foot that aimed to strike the marine's body and cause him some more damage. The battle was getting more and more intense for sure.

Darnel quickly brought up his arms to block the attack of the shockwave. His body was pushed back like a bullet toward the ground. Darnel landed unto thr ground with his legs cracking the ground below him "It seems I unestimated you, but don't think you won just yet." Darnel's armor worked better than expect. Normally the shockwave would have knocked him out. Though the attack did hurt like hell it was better than being dead on the floor. Darnel ran toward Mantro again this time he had a different plan now knowing his shockwave technique.

The battle has just started!" were the words of the pirate who moved the scythe quickly at the opposite direction he previously held it, with the blade behind his back. He said "Time to start the real thing! Shockwave Rush!". Then, in no time, the man started running while using his signature shockwave from his feet, enchancing his speed to the point that it matched Soru. As he was running and he almost reached his opponent, he swung his scythe quickly and said "Scythe Cut!" as he attempted to slice the man on the chest with his weapon by moving it in a way that it would cause a big and deep wound to the snake-human hybrid.

Darnel finally caught his face to face. He used his vemon point which increased its toxicity ten fold. His form started to change. Darnel head's became more snake like with a humanoid body with a snake tail. His mouth began to overflow with vemon. It created holes in the ground as it dripped from his jaws. Darnel spit out a stream of poisonous venom from his mouth as he charged toward mantra. He also swung his tail to the right if the venom didn't work.

"DAMN THIS IS DANGEROUS!" the pirate said as he looked at the poison that fell on the ground and caused holes. He had to dodge the attack quickly otherwise he would be doomed. A single drop from the venom would poison him and he would be at a great disadvantage. It was about time for him to go with his ultimate techniques. The play time was over. It was now time for the "Chickenman" to show why he got that nickname. As he was about to strike with the Scythe from the close distance, a beam that aimed for the marine was launched from the scythe, revealing the weapon's Devil Fruit ability. That beam was very unique... If it hit the target it would definitely stop him from attacking... because it had the power of the Hiyoko-Hiyoko no Mi that allowed it to launch beams that turned people into Chicken! If the marine was hit, not only he would be turned into a chicken and his attack would be stopped but he would also be off-guard, giving Manta the chance to kill him.

Darnel quickly turned to the right to avoid the beam. He didn't know what strange devil fruit that mantra obtained but he knew he must not let the beam hit him. Who knows what could happen to him if that beam hit him? Darnel needed to win fast. He only had two more minutes before the effects of the rumble ball end. Darnel turned back into his hybrid form to burrow underground making a snake hole. He tunneled his way toward Mantra underground to surprise with a sneak attack underground.

Seeing that the marine dug a hole and moved inside it, the tried tried to get him for good. Without even thinking, the pirate looked at the whole. He pointed towards it with his scythe and said "Chicken Garden!" as he launched a ball that exploded inside the hole, releasing a beam all across the tunnel that could turn anything it hit into a chicken. Then, the man waited to see the results of his attack... He had the feeling that he would emerge victorious from the battle soon.

Darnel emerged from the hole trying to scratch Mantra's face in his chicken form. He didn't know what happened why he was chicken, but he tried his best to attack mantra. After the attack, Darnel tried to run away from the pirate hoping to live.

Manta laughed evily as he looked at his enemy in the Chicken form. Without losing any time, he used his Shockwave Rush technique and got behind the chicken in no time. Then, he moved his scythe like a master and moved the bottom part of the scythe's blade in front of the chicken's neck. He said "Scythe Headcut!" as he attemped to cut the head of the chicken with his scythe in order to finish the battle. As now he was in a chicken form, cutting the neck would be something easier than cutting some butter. To Manta it looked like his battle had just ended...

Darnel stared in horror as the blade cut off his head.
