History: Ever since the day he was born, Mustang was born to fight, when he was in the orphanage, he didn’t have a name, he had a number: 20120. He was born on an island where unwanted children were sent to an orphanage. This was no ordinary orphanage, either. Everyone there would be forced to join the marines at 15, and they better be trained by then. He was feed a devils fruit as soon as he was able to chew solid food, and as soon as he was able to walk, he was trained to fight with the Kaze Kaze No Mi and in normal hand to hand combat. When he was 5, his trainer gave him Glove Claws, which he learned how to use as well. When he was 7, he had above average strength for most adults due to the vigorous training at such a young age. At 8, a retired World Government Agent came to the orphanage and taught the kids Rokushiki to prepare them even more. By the time the man had gone, Mustang had learned Soru, Geppou, Tekkai and Shigan(partially). So by time he was 15, he was more than ready for the marines. It had happened so suddenly, in the middle of the night. One of the mentors had walked in and told them to pack their bags and get on a ship, which they did. The ship sailed for at least 2 days, in which they sat in the hull, getting no food, no water and no fresh air. Once they reached the destionation, Mustang realized they were at a marine base. His mentor talked to a man that was introduced as Rear Admiral James T. Cadillac for a few minutes and then left him. Cadillac then looked at the boy for a minute “what your name, son” he asked through his cigar. “20120” replied Mustang. This made Cadillac sad, and he decided to name him. So from then on he was known as James T. Mustang. He trained with the rear admiral as a petty officer and then an ensign with more combat training and also to be a doctor. When he made the rank of lieutenant, Cadillac left him to be on his own. Mustang then joined a Marine division, but he got bored and asked for a division change when he reached the rank of Lieutenant Commander.

Personality:Mustang was taught during his training to not speak to superiors unless spoken to, which he still does now, and even if your equal or below him, he probably wont talk to you out of shyness, lack of respect or equal respect to his superiors, no one knows for sure. This brings us to his rubbing off on other people as mysterious. He fights when needed, he kills when he needs and he heals when he needs. He isn’t social and is always either training or sleeping. Recreation for him is reading a good book in his quarters and not being disturbed. Most other things about him are unknown. Although it is assumed that Cadillac knows more about him, but he doesn’t give away that information either.
