Appearance: standing 6’4 Ken has a head of jet black hair that spikes back. A single bang comes down and covers some of the scar running down his forehead and into his right eye that he got during training. His eyes are brown with a second scar running through the first and into his nose. He wears a light blue shirt with a green stripe around his left shoulder and a silver stipe going through along the line of his spine. His pants are black with a brown belt. The belt buckle is a skull that sticks out its tongue while holding a sword in its right hand. Kurohyou and tora are located on the right side of his belt while raion is located on his back. Lastly pirania monshi is carried around is located on the left side of his belt.

History: kens grandfather was a pirate; his parents hated this about him and begged him to stop what he was doing. While his grandfather was fierce and strong and always eager to jump to battle kens parents were worried about their soon to be born sun. On the day he was born his grandfather came to the doorstep, he asked for ken so he could teach him how to be a warrior. When they denied him this he accepted their choice and asked for one thing, that when they decided to finally send ken to train with him that they would give him the sword he would give them. Upon handing the sword over to them he revealed its name to be “raion”. Unhappily accepting his request ken’s parents told him they would never let their child be a pirate.
10 years later ken was asked to go buy some fruit and some meat for dinner. Eagerly accepting this job ken took the money and raced through the town. In his rush ken took a wrong turn, noticing this he decided to walk back. While retracing his steps he walked past the local blacksmith. Stopping immediately he was taken drawn into the closest weapon, a knife that had been recently finished and a sign next to it naming it pirania monshi.
Noticing the boy staring at his merchandise the blacksmith yelled “hey son, you want to buy it or are you just staring at your reflection.” Ken replied “Yes, I think I’d like to buy it.” The blacksmith shrugged and took the berri from ken and handed over the knife. Warning him not to accidently kill himself with the blade the blacksmith sent ken on his way. After he got back on the correct path and got to the market ken purchased what meat and fruit he could with the remaining berri and started on his way back.
When ken was finally home he showed the knife to his parents and his mother immediately wanted to get rid of the weapon. Kens dad on the other hand thought it was time ken learned how to fight. Later that night his parents had a long harsh conversation about the topic. In the morning his mom finally decided that IF ken would be careful and not let it go to his head that she would allow him to learn SOME fighting. After his initial training with a knife ken loved fighting. He wanted to learn more and more, he also wanted to be the best.
After a year of training by himself ken decided to buy a real sword. Doing odd jobs around town he finally raised enough berri for one. Walking down to the smith he found a pair of katanas that were together and had assign around them that said “kurohyou and tora, two for one.” Bringing them to the owner he was greeted “if it isn’t that lad who bought pirania, I see you’re here to buy the ‘big cat twins’. Couldn’t resist a real sword could ya.” ken happily replied “yep, here’s the berri, and I’ll be on my way.”
This time when he returned ken’s mother almost had a heart attack. His father simply smirked and said quietly “it’s the kokuou blood in his veins. He can’t help it.” “You can’t be thinking that we should…..” “No, no, but we should at least let him learn how to carry a sword. Besides, I don’t want you to die of a heart attack.” With this, as reluctant as she was, ken’s mother allowed him to be signed up to trained by a master.
On the say he arrived the master had only 2 other pupils. One was a large boy who looked bloodthirsty at the first glance named colt. The second boy was nicknamed ‘dusty’ smaller but if the master is correct, “Dusty is the greatest student I’ve had yet”. After he got acquainted colt immediately pointed himself out as the bully of the three by telling the new student “listen here bub, don’t get in my way, or ill gut you like a fish.” Dusty on the other hand was nicer and greeted ken as an equal. Even though ken had a friend here, the training was still intense. On several occasions colt got into fights with ken and the two were punished for it.
After 5 years of hard work and training ken finally was put with the task of fighting colt for the final test. Eager to repay colt for those horrible years of his life ken passed with flying colors defeating his opponent without a scratch. After this test he was sent back to his family, only to find an old man talking with his parents. “This is the last time I will be able to train ken. I won’t take no for an answer.” Before his parents could complain ken raised his voice “who is this man?” his parents nervously looked at each other and sighed, replying that the man was his grandfather. Thinking it over he slowly said “I’m sorry mom, dad, but I’m coming with him to train him.” Shocked by his choice his father slowly sighed and walked to his room. Coming back with a sword ken had never seen his father handed it to him and said “I promised myself I wouldn’t do this, but it looks like I can’t stop you.”
And so for 2 years ken was trained by his grandfather to fight with the santoryu style. The day after his grandfather said he was a master at it he invited his old friend dusty for a fight; they were to meet at their old school ground. When the two met they both greeted each other and grabbed their practice swords. To his great surprise dusty still stronger then ken and defeated him no matter how strength and skill he put into defeating him. Returning to his grandfather he asked for more training. The old man decided to teach him a set of old family fighting techniques. 2 years later ken was set off from his training a master of the techniques that all together was named ‘anti-sword style’.

Personality: ken is a bit headstrong at times and will often argue with others. But he never argues with a person he calls captain. He doesn’t exactly care about money or other items. Whenever someone challenges him to a fight he never backs down. The kind of thing he hates most is bragging and laughs at anybody who tries intimidate him by talking about their strength.

“Anti-sword style”: a fighting style similar to rokushiki, the effects of the different techniques assist in battle but are incredibly useful against a swordsman.
1: Katana tama (katana bullets): first the user spins one or two swords in a full circle to gather and compress air but not firing it like a rankyaku. Instead the user stabs his/her sword into the compressed air at high speeds to send it flying like a bullet, giving a range to the sword.
2: taka jiten (hawk rotation): the user jumps into the air and spins two swords above their head to gain a few seconds of suspension to avoid attacks.
3: hibana hou (spark gun): the user hits one sword against another to generate a quick flash of lights to blind an opponent.
4: 360 degrees spin: the user spins in place to gather a quick look around the area. The user may also hold a sword out to add damage to this move.
5: tsuin kenkaku (twin swordsman): the user moves at such high speeds that they appear to be in two places at once. Both copies can attack with normal (not technique) attacks but if only one is attacked it will fade while the other stays as the correct copy. If both copies are attacked at the exact same time one will fade out while the other takes damage.
6: tetsu haji (iron grasp) the user hardens their arms similar to tekkai so they can catch a weak attack or sword being swung in their direction without taking damage.
7: katana toku (katana shield) the user spins their sword at such high speeds that the blade gives off the illusion of being a single circular piece of steel while reflecting most sword based attacks and some other weak attacks as well.
8 :{ must master all other techniques to use} katana se shougekiha (katana torrent shock wave) the user takes three katanas in both hands and holds the so each one faces a different direction. Then the user starts spinning them at increasing speeds. After it reaches a high speed the katanas are turned to face forward and a devastating shockwave is fired from the tips.
Learned Techniques (Keep it 1-25)
1: katana tama, scope (ken starts out as if using katana tama, but the first few attacks are weaker and are intended to knock the opponent off balance instead of doing real damage. The attack itself leaves a silver line in the air that can be a)
2: katana tama, shotgun (after starting the attack ken holds all three katanas in both hands. When he stabs the compressed air the number of shots multiply and separate similar to the firing of a shotgun.)
3: leopard fang (ken unsheathes his first sword and moves at blinding speeds and delivers a blow to an opponent in a flash attack.)
4: hibana hou; dragons breathe (ken uses hibana hou over and over again at high speeds to generate a flash of lights in an attempt to blind his opponent for extended periods of time.)
5: dragon wing (ken swings two swords to generate compressed blades of air that travel in a v shape to attack the blinded opponent.)
6: hellhound pack (ken unleashes multiple barrages of attacks and finishes the combo with a close range 360 degrees spin using all three katanas.)
7: swordsman’s doom, false strike ( Ken runs forward and looks like he is about to strike. At the last second when the opponent puts up a sword to block he slips behind the opponent and delivers several attacks to the opponents back.)
8: swordsman’s doom, parry folly ( Ken runs up and to his opponent and begins an attack, but when the opponent goes to block the attacks aimed is changed to the handle instead. After the attack lands ken tries to disarm the opponent with help from his added leverage.)
9: swordsman’s doom, knife sentinel ( Ken allows his opponent to get into close range while his guard is apparently down, but when the opponent attacks he dodges to the right, takes out his knife, and attempts to stab his opponent’s hand.)
10: Cerberus’s storm (after taking out all three swords ken runs up to the opponent and attacks with a three sword strike while spinning. Instead of stopping there ken mixes this attack with 360 degrees spin and attacks over and over again.)
11: hunter cat family tree: night panther (ken attacks with a barrage of attacks with kurohyou)
12: hunter cat family: burning tiger (after using night panther attack ken does a similar combo with tora)
13: hunter cat family tree: golden lion (after finishing burning tiger ken follows up while his opponent is still reeling back he attacks them with a single stab from raion at blinding speeds.
14: hunter cat family tree: demonic pack (while the opponent is stumbling back from golden lion ken combines every ‘hunter cat’ attack above and finishes off with a three directional strike.

Weapons/Items:
1st katana is named kurohyou {panther} (normal katana with a black sheathe that has red rubies going along the side.)
2nd katana is named tora {tiger} (normal katana that has a black sheathe with blue sapphires going down the side.)
3rd katana is named raion {lion} (a katana with a golden line going down the dull side and a black sheathe that carries a green emerald on the tip. Ken’s favorite of the three swords)
Finally the knife is named pirania monshi {piranha incisor}

Goals: to become the world’s best swordsman and to defeat his childhood rival dusty.
