Species: Human
Occupation: Captain, Sub-Gunner (Bobby can use cannons)

Home Village/Ocean: East Blue

His shirt and waists are covered with endless belts and holsters to house his swords, guns, compass and what not. He wears a brown pilot coat over his shirt that is covered with patches and rips. His hair is covered with a black bandanna with white stripes and he occasionally wears a triangle-shaped classic pirate hat that he stole from a captain in one of his raids. His eyes are blood red and he has a X-shaped scar on his right cheek, which he uses as his trademark. He may wear a set of necklaces and medallions on his neck and a few rings and maybe even armlet and a pair of gold cuffs to look rich.
History: Blane was born in a simple island in East Blue. He was the son of the town's doctor, his mom, and a very famous pirate known as "Golden Arms", his dad. Blane's father was famous because of his high bounty and the rumor that he had a massive amount of treasure hidden all across the Grand Line. A rumor that might or might not be true.
The island was the territory of the Golden Arm pirates and the islanders enjoyed the kindness and peace the pirates brought with them. The Golden Arm pirates were very famous thanks to their captain and kept other pirate crews away from the island with sheer force and intimidation.
Blane was taught that piracy is the best way to live your life. Pirates get to not only become rich as they wish but also live a free life, not limited by rules, unlike marines who can't do neither. And as expected from the son of a great pirate, Blane became a pirate himself. He served in his father crew for a few years until his father gave him a ship of his own. The father insisted that Blane will learn to live as a pirate on his own after the crew taught him the basics. After giving him a special compass as the ultimate gift for a pirate, Blane's family set him free to start his own life.
In the age of 19 Blane left his island to become a pirate on his own. Until this age Blane managed to fight both pirates and marines alike and earning himself notable swordplay skills and a small bounty.
As he sailed around the Grand Line alone, he came across several pirate crews and marine crews, none of which left without knowing who Blane D. Jones was. He either fought or stole from anyone he came across, making his name to slowly spread and grow around the East Blue, and the other blues.
The growing rumor about the son of the great Golden Arms roaming around the Blues all by himself caused a few pirate crews and bounty hunters, who were rivals of Blane's father, to turn their efforts to finding and capturing Blane, to weaken his father and negotiate the location of his treasure out of him. As a result, Blane soon found himself some new enemies, including one particular pirate crew: The Ape Pirates.
The Ape Pirates were rumored to form on an island filled with apes and monkeys. Their captain, who was also their doctor, trained these monkeys into helping him and his crew. Out of the incredible amount of monkeys on their ship, one particular monkey was the captain's favorite: Bobby. Bobby was a spider monkey who consumed IQ leafs when he was young, resulting in him having an extra tail and an extraordinary IQ level. Bobby too smart to let himself be trained by idiots like The Ape pirates, and was forced to be their gunner after they handcuffed him to their captain who beat him up constantly.
Without any chance of fighting against a large crew like the Ape Pirates, Blane was caught and locked inside their ship. The crew sailed with Blane as their prisoner for a few days until Blane attempted his escape. The crew foolishly supplied him with a cigarette and some beer, a part of his last wish. With these items, he managed to attack his captors using his Drunken Breath technique, and obtain the keys to his cuffs. After freeing himself, Blane meant to flee using the life boat that was connected to the ship, but on his way to it, he bumped into the captain.
With the small amount of alcohol that was left inside his body, Blane was able to produce a flame that distracted the captain and allowed him to reach the life boat. Turning around to gloat, Blane noticed Bobby, struggling to free himself from the cuffs that were binding him to the captain. Feeling sorry for the helpless creature, Blane shot the chain with a flintlock he stole from his captors and released the monkey, who soon jumped into the life boat and escaped with Blane, becoming his indebted pet.
After the rumors of Blane stealing the precious monkey of the Ape Pirates spread, Blane got the fame he needed around the East Blue. His next goal was clear: The Grand Line. Reaching the Grand Line wasn't very difficult, with the fame he earned, he managed to pass into the deadly ocean with a different pirate crew, admirers of his dad and now of him as well. Now, sailing on a small and damaged wooden ship, that is clearly unsuitable for the Grand Line, Blane starts his new mission: Conquer the Grand Line.
Personality: Blane can be easily described as greedy. His will of becoming a richer and more famous pirate than his old man fuels him to sail around the blues and hunt every treasure his special compass leads him to. His greed knows only a few limits, the include hurting helpless souls and hurting animals. These limits lead Blane to focus his stealing acts on pirate crews and marines, two forces who can easily put up a fight. Blane is also an easy going guy, who enjoys his fare share of booze, women and gambling. He accompanies almost every action with a joke, trying to impress and humiliate at the same time. Although he doesn't seem like it, Blane is pretty smart and creative. Both of these skills are shown in his fights. As a kid who practically grew on pirate tales and stories, he probably heard of every pirate in the blues who deserves it and will often use pirate terms like "Davy Jones' Locker" or "X Marks The Spot". When he introducing himself, he refers to himself as Davy Jones, intimidationg those around him.
Ship: The Fair Maiden
Ship Flag: A classic Jolly Roger with a black and white bandanna and a X-shaped scar on his right cheekbone. There are two crossed cutlasses instead of the traditional bones.
Devil Fruit: None
Special Abilities: Dirty Fighter: In a world filled with super powerful enemies and devil fruits, a swordsman like Blane needs to even the score by using dirty tricks in his fights. These tricks include both random gunshots in a sword fight and random strikes under the belt in a brawl. He will often use his surroundings for his advantage and will use Bobby to surprise his opponent with gunshots and other tricks. While using this fighting style, Blane's most dangerous weapon is his own creativity.
Swordplaying Skills: Although he tends to use his dirty moves more often, simply because they are more fun, Blane is a swordsman to be reckoned with. He is able to wield his cutlasses with speeds that beat the human eye, making his moves almost invisible and unnoticeable. He is able to perform 3 cuts before the enemy even notices he got sliced. This, in combination with his special Flash Scabbards, allows him to finish battles before they even begun.
Gunning Skills: Blane can use flintlocks with skill. He often uses a few of his flintlocks in a battle to surprise his opponent who's expecting a sword fight. Although he is a pretty good shooter, he normally leaves the shooting to Bobby, his pet monkey.
Learned Techniques (Keep it 1-25): Dirty Moves:- Spoiler:
1. Spit: This "attack" has two variations. The first is used when Blane has something in his mouth (the occasional tooth peak, a cigar whatever) and the second is when Blane is simply in the need for a distraction. Blane will spit, either showering his enemy with grouse drool or shooting him with whatever was in Blane's mouth. This attack is a great distraction and an insult combined. How wonderful!
2. Surprise... POW!: This is the occasional bone-breaking surprise spiked fist from Blane's brass knuckles or a kick to a few 'sensitive areas'. It doesn't seem dirty, but it is if it is used in a sword fight. Obviously it has less effect on lady opponents.
3. Bobby's Special: Bobby is Blane's monkey companion. Thinks to the help of SIQ, Bobby can use guns. Blane will usually carry Bobby on his shoulders or inside his trench coat when he's fighting. With a command, Blane can make the monkey shoot the opponent with one or more of Blane's guns. If done in point blank or in the right time it can be very deadly... and annoying.
4. Drunken Breath: This attack can only be used when Blane is under the effect of alcohol. It is used to both surprise the opponent and help Blane sober up quickly. After many years of over-drinking, Blane gained the ability to drain the alcohol from his body and concentrate it in his mouth. Than, by using a match or any other fire, Blane can release a stream of flames form his mouth by blowing the flammable alcohol out of his mouth at once. This move has another variation regarding cigars. Blane can gather all of the cigar smoke from his lungs and blood and release a thick smoke cloud from his mouth.
5. Lucky Dodge: This is a psychological evasive move. By using his reflexes and amazing dexterity, Blane can dodge many attacks that are thrown at him. But, in this technique, Blane will make it seem that he dodged the attacks by pure luck, annoying his opponent.
6. A Bird: Blane will lift one of his hands up to make it seem like his about to attack. He will than wait until his enemy will attempt to block him or look up to send a surprise kick or a slash with his other hand at the unprepared enemy.
7. Other: Since this fighting style is very random and based on creativity, moves can be made on the spot.
Swordplay:- Spoiler:
1. Lightning Draw: Blane will use his special Flash Scabbards to release a powerful flash of light when he draws his swords. This flash can blind the opponent for several seconds, enough time for the fast Blane to finish the battle.
2. Ghost Tempo: This is a very advanced piece of swordplay that Blane is capable of thanks to his amazing dexterity. Blane will start a sword fight with a series of slow, easy to block common attacks to make his opponent's guard to loosen. Then, when the opponent will block one of Blane's attacks, Blane will instantly use his speed to slice the unprepared opponent several times before the opponent can even notice. This move gained it's name because Blane's slashes are so fast that it seems the his sword simply passes through the opponent's sword after the clash of swords. This attack can be used for entire battles. Blane will randomly change his attacking rate, his tempo, to confuse his opponent.
3. Wild Howl: Blane will use common move among skilled swordsman. By performing a fast and powerful slash, Blane will sends a powerful cutting air wave towards his opponent. Due to Blane's saw-like blades, the wave is slightly different than the normal attack. It causes several wide cuts instead of a single concentrated cut. With a regular blade this attack can be used normally.
4. Ace: By concentrating for several seconds, Blane can perform a cutting technique capable of cutting through stone as if it was butter. Blane performs a series of slashes with his swords with great speed. The speed makes the slashes to appear as a single attack. The accumulating damage from all of the slashes is the true power of this technique.
5.Swashbuckler Stampede: This is a form of aggressive movement that Blane will usually use. While fighting an opponent, Blane will constantly push forward with his body, forcing his opponent to step backwards when fighting Blane in close-range. This is done in order to make the opponent take a defensive tactic to stop Blane's pushes. It is also done to make the opponent lose his balance. This can take a second or a minute but when it happens, Blane gets an almost free slash at his opponent.
6. X Scar: A move named after Blane's trademark scar. Blane will form a X shape with his cutlasses and will slash with both of them at the same time. The first cutlass is meant to weeken the enemy's defense so the second cutlass will have an open target. This attack can also be used to send an X-shaped air blade at the opponent, similar to the Wild Howl technique, only cooler.
Weapons/Items: Bobby, Greed and his modified cutlasses and scabbards, A Katana, A Silver Lighter, 5 Flintlocks, Bullets, A Flask, Tooth Peaks, Monkey Treats.
Character Flaws: Blane is very arrogant and careless. This may cause him to jump into fights that are out of his league. Blane is also very greedy, a trait that be used against him.
Goals: Become richer and more famous than his father.
