CHAPTER 1: The arrogant trainer
After getting his very first pokemon and his pokedex from professor Birch, who happened to come at his hometown to visit the region's professor, Maximillion Steller, a trainer from Pallet Town, was about to start his journey to become a Pokemon Master. Apparently, the trainer was not given one of the Hoenn starters. It actually was not a starter. It was a bug and ground type pokemon with four legs, two tiny wings on its back and two antennas on its head. It was a Nincada.
The trainer started packing his stuff. He did not need many things. He only took his collection of gloves. Apparently, Maximillion had a tendacy to get pairs of gloves. His favorite pair of gloves, which he used to wear a lot, was a black one with the autograph of one of the Elite Four, the top trainers of the Kanto Region. The trainer believed that they would bring him luck. He treated the golves like it was his lucky charm that would help him climb up the ranks and become the strongest trainer in Kanto. Maximillion was definetely a strange person...
As soon as he prepared his stuff, the trainer waved goodbye to his mother and left from his house. He did not even waste a single second. He was very obsessed to train his pokemon and grow stronger. He was planning to try to get his very first badge at two days maximum. Maximillion was quite ambitious.
When he got out of Pallet Town, the trainer looked around him. There were many pokemon around. There were some purple pokemon that looked like rats with long whiskers, as well as some tiny birds which said "Pidgey" and some other ugly, bird like creatures that looked aggresive. There was also a bunch of some tiny green caterpillars and another bunch of bug like creatures with needles on their heads and a smaller one on their tail. The world of pokemon was definetely amazing. Despite the fact that the trainer knew some information about most of these pokemon, he had not met so many together at the same time. This would be the perfect chance for him to train his pokemon.
With a smile on his face, the trainer walked towards the rat like creatures. Most of them went away. There was only one left that was staring at him. The rat looked like it wanted a battle, just like the trainer did. Without saying anything to it, the trainer picked up Nincada's pokeball from his pockets and without saying anything he tossed it on the ground, revealing the pokemon. He said with a serious yet calm voice
"Start with Fury Cutter..."
Nincada nodded and started running towards the rat. The rat, though, was not as weak as it looked. Before Nincada striked it with the Fury Cutter, it went with a Quick Attack, hitting it before receiving the Fury Cutter attack. Not only it avoided the damage, but it also caused some damage to the trainee pokemon. Maximillion was angered with his pokemon from taking a hit by a simple attack like that but he did not say anything. Instead, he commanded it in a similar way like before
"Try to use Fury Cutter once more..."
Afterwards, Nincada started moving towards the rat. The rat smiled and tried to go with another Quick Attack. However, the trainer had seen through this plan. He smirked and said
"Jump to dodge, the strike it on its back."
Before the rat reached Nincada, the trainee pokemon jumped. The rat passed through the place where Nincada was at before it jumped and before it could move away, it was hit on the back by the Fury Cutter attack of the pokemon. Then, Maximillion pointed towards the rat and said
"Now, Nincada. Finish it off with Fury Swipes."
Nincada nodded again and in an instant, it started striking the wild pokemon, causing it more and more damage as the time passed. In no time, the rat was finally unconscious and the pokemon was the winner.
Without saying anything, in a similar way to the one he started the battle, the trainer returned the pokemon back at its pokeball. He took a deep breath and he started walking through the plains to go to Viridian City. He knew that there was a Gym there. He would have a chance to get his first badge there... However, what he did not know was that he was being followed by someone.
Five minutes later, at the spot where the rat was... A strange male voice can be heard. He says "Go pokeball!" and the rat is sucked in a pokeball. Then, a strange metal sound is heard. The pokemon had been caught...

CHAPTER 2: A meeting with an old acquintance
After leaving from his home, Maximillion Steller, a trainer from Pallet Town, is on his way to Viridian City, where he is about to have his very first Gym Battle. Meanwhile, while on his way to the city, he beats as many pokemon as possible, training his partner, Nincada, while also ignoring the fact that he is followed by a mysterious person. What is going to happen? Will the trainer find out that he is being followed? Find out, by reading the following chapter!
As Maximillion walks on the road towards Viridian, he realizes that something strange is going on. Apparently, as the time passed he saw less and less pokemon. He could not understand why that happened, but he did not care at all. He had more important things to worry about. Since he was a kid, the trainer was not interested in any pokemon. He was simply interested in pokemon battles. Unlike many other children Maximillion believed that the pokemon's reason of existence was to battle other pokemon. He could not find any other reason for their existence or he would not accept if he came across a reasonable one. Soon enough, he came across a wild Kakuna. The pokemon could not move at all. It was in the coocoon state, after all. The only move it was able to use was Harden. It was a great chance for the trainer to train his Nincada. He tossed the pokemon's pokeball on the ground and Nincada appeared. He said with a cold voice and with a serious face
"Start with Fury Swipes.".
Nincada nodded and did so. The pokemon jumped towards Kakuna. As soon as it reached the pokemon, it swang them and started striking the cocoon pokemon endlessly, causing it a great amount of damage. However, Kakuna was eager for revenge. Despite the fact that it was not its time to evolve, the pokemon started evolving due to the fact that it was seeking for revenge over Maximillion's Nincada. Its body started shining. For half a minute the pokemon's body was changing and soon enough a Beedrill came out of the cocoon. It shouted "BEEDRILL!" as it flew towards Nincada in order to attack. Maximillion sighed and said
"No matter if you are evolved or not, your fate is the same. Nincada, counter its attack with Fury Cutter."
Nincada could not understand how its trainer could be so calm, but it had no other choice but to obey. Beedrill moved its drill-like hands to strike the trainee pokemon on the head but Nincada cleverly blocked the attack by raising its right front leg upwards. Then, it said "Nin-cada!" as it raised its other front leg upwards and strike Beedrill at the chest, giving it a critical hit. Beedrill fell on the ground. It was still able to battle but it could be easily understood that it had taken quite some damage.
Maximillion was about to say "Finish it off with Fury Cutter!" but before he completed the sentence, he listened to a man's voice. The man said
"Hey, what do you think you are doing?"
Maximillion did not say anything and completed his previous sentence. Nincada moved towards Beedrill and striked it with one more Fury Cutter, making it fall unconscious, for good. Nincada and Maximillion had earned one more victory for themselves.
Then, the trainer turned his head towards the man and said
"What do you want, Jiper? Do you want to mess with me?"
The man, who was actually around Maximillion's age did not say anything for a while. He was thinking of what to say. After around a minute, he said
"I want to know why you are so cold-hearted."
Maximillion smirked. He said
"I am not cold-hearted. You are just soft-hearted. Anyway, I have wasted much of my precious time with you. Goodbye."
Jiper frowned and then looked towards Maximillion with an angry face as he said
"Okay, then. I challenge you to a battle. What do you have to say?"
Maximillion laughed. He turned his head towards Jiper and said
"Okay, I guess. I want to embarass you once more.".

CHAPTER 3: Rival Battle! Maximillion vs Jiper!
After Maximillion brutally defeated a wild Beedrill with his Nincada, the person who had been following him finally appared. Apparently, Maximillion knew who that person was. He was a man with the name of Jiper. What could the relationship between Maximillion and Jiper be? Find out, by reading the following chapter!
Maximillion told his Nincada with his serious, as always, face
"Okay Nincada... Prepare yourself. I do not even want you to receive a single hit from that trainer's pokemon. Understand?"
The pokemon nodded. It had to stay focused in the battle to do as its trainer said. Defeating a pokemon without even taking a single hit way way too difficult. However, the trainee pokemon would try its best to do it.
At the meantime, Jiper smiled and said
"You are expecting way too much from your pokemon, Maximillion. Anyway... Come out, Rattata!" as he tossed his pokeball on the ground.
The pokemon that appeared was a purple rat, like the one that Maximillion and Nincada defeated before. Maximillion was about to say that he managed to beat a pokemon like that some time ago, but before he did so, Jiper said
"Do not try to show your awesomeness to me... I know you defeated a Rattata before because it was this one..."
Maximillion's look changed for a single second. He looked like he was enjoying the situation. He started laughing loudly and said
"You are very funny Jiper. You are not even able to catch a pokemon by yourself. How pathetic.".
"We will see that..." were the words of Jiper. Then, he continued by saying "Okay Rattata! Start with Quick Attack!".
Maximillion's face changed to his serious once more. After that short break of a few seconds, he took off the mask of the cheerful person and revealed once again his cold-hearted, serious and arrogant personality. He pointed towards Rattata and said
"Block it with Fury Cutter."
Nincada nodded. Afterwards, its front legs started turning red. As Rattata approached it smiled. Maximillion said
"Wait for the right moment to counter, now...".
As the seconds passed Rattata was approaching with more and more speed. In around five seconds, it had almost made contact with Nincada. Jiper smiled as he believed that he could do something to Nincada with a move like that... However... Right before the contact between Rattata's Quick Attack and Nincada's body was made, Maximillion commanded
"Move your legs upwards to deflect the attack.". Nincada said "Nincada!" as it moved its legs at the same time Rattata would hit it.
As a result of the impact, the Quick Attack was not only blocked, but it also backfired, sending Rattata quite many meters back while Nincada barely moved some inches. Rattata was lying on the ground with scratches around its body. Maximillion looked at it with his evil look on his face and said to Nincada
"Now, use Fury Cutter once more... But be careful... I do not want you to knock it out yet..."
Nincada started running towards it. Soon enough, it had reached it and it striked it on the head with a Fury Cutter that came from its front left leg. Rattata screamed in pain and Jiper yelled at Maximillion to stop. Maximillion would not, though. Afterwards, he said
"Time to finish it off with Fury Swipes..." as Nincada's legs started shining and it striked Rattata around five times, making it fall unconscious. The trainer had emerged victorious.
Maximillion smirked with an evil face, as always. He told to Jiper
"I told you... You are pathetic..." as he returned Nincada at its pokeball and turned his back at Jiper.
Then, he started leaving from the place, without even saying goodbye to his "rival". He believed that he had lost a lot of time. The Gym in Viridian City had been waiting for him, after all.
Jiper was about to start following him once again and ask him why he was always behaving like that... Since they were kids, Maximillion was acting like that. Jiper was trying to approach him, but he would not accept him. Since then, they started forming a rivalry and the two boys were rivals... After learning that Maximillion would head on a journey, Jiper decided to do so, as well. And that was why he was following him... He whispered to himself as Maximillion was leaving
"Why... Why are you always like this?" while trying to find an answer.

CHAPTER 4: Meet the discipline!
After defeating his rival, Jiper, Maximillion finally arrived at Viridian City where he could have his very first Gym Battle. However, he would firstly head to the pokemon center where he could heal his pokemon, before he went to the gym. When will Maximillion have his Gym Battle? Find out by reading the following chapter!
As soon as he arrived, he handed Nincada's pokeball to Nurse Joy. He sat on a table. There, he took out some food out of his bag. He was quite hungry. He had not eaten anything since the morning. He could listen to his stomach that was growling. After eating, the trainer decided to stay some more and relax. However, two people ,who were sitting right next to the table he was at, were discussing something that picked his interest. One of them said
"Have you seen that strange pokemon all of the people are talking about? They say that have not seen one before. It is definetely rare! I heard that a trainer from the Unova region abandoned it here!"
The other one looked surprised after he listened to that. He said
"Really? Is a rare pokemon around? I will go and search for it!"
"Well, you do not have a chance... Because I will be the one to catch it."
After listening to all these valuable information, Maximillion quickly got up. He wore his black black vest and put his headband on his head. He run towards Nurse Joy and asked to get his pokemon back. The Nurse was done healing it so there was no problem with giving Nincada back...
Maximillion got out of the pokemon center. Then, he picked up Nincada's pokeball. He tossed it and said
"I want you to try and find a strange pokemon... I might not even know how it looks like, but you will understand. It is rare so there is only one of its kind around."
Nincada nodded in order to say okay and started searching. With its antennas and its Compoundeyes ability it could watch and listen much better than most pokemon. Soon enough, the pokemon found a trace of the pokemon. It was a strange shell. Shells did not exist in the area and more importantly all of the pokemon which were around did not use any shells. It probably came from the rare pokemon. Maximillion thought it could be used as a good bait so he picked it up... And soon enough he set up a trap.
The trainer left the shell at a spot which was visible from quite many paces and hid himself somewhere around. He was pretty sure that the pokemon would come and look for it if it actually belonged to it. And the trainer was right. Soon enough, a very weird, blue pokemon with whiskers, which stood on its two legs and had a fin on its head moved towards it and picked it up. It was the trainer's chance to battle it. He commanded Nincada with his serious face
"Use Fury Swipes!"
The trainee pokemon did so, and striked the pokemon on its back, sending it some meters backwards and making it angry. Hopefully for it, it had just retrieved its shell so now it could use both its shell blades. In an instant after it got the hit on its back, the pokemon turned around and rushed towards Nincada, striking it with a Shell Blade attack and causing it a great amount of damage because Nincada's ground type gave it a disadvantage. Maximillion looked towards Nincada angrily. He said
"You are not that weak. You can defeat a pokemon like this, can you not?"
Nincada felt offended as it listened to that comment, but it did not say anything. Instead, it decided to battle more fiercely. It had to focus and dodge the attacks of the wild pokemon that had just started a rampage. Seeing that the wild pokemon was attacking with one more Shell Blade attack, Maximillion commanded
"Dodge the attack and use Fury Swipes."
Before the attack hit Nincada, the trainee pokemon jumped away. Then, its front legs started shining, as always and it rushed towards the wild pokemon to attack it. It looked like the pokemon would get hit by the attack... But something unexpected happened. Apparently, the pokemon used Detect and could see through Nincada's move, dodging it extremely easily. Maximillion was surprised. That pokemon was very strong. He had to catch it no matter what. It would be a great addition to his team. The wild pokemon was about to strike back. However, this time the trainer and his pokemon would not let it succeed that easily. Maximillion pointed towards the wild pokemon with his evil and angry face while saying
"Counter its attacks with Fury Cutter."
As the Shell Blade and the Fury Cutter crushed, it looked like two swords were crushing. A unique sound was being heard and the two pokemon were having an all-out melee combat. The battle had reached its peak...but due to a slight mistake it made, the wild pokemon lost its balance and fell on the ground. Nincada striked with one more Fury Cutter and the pokemon was unconscious. It was Maximillion's time to make his move.
Without saying anything the trainer dropped a pokeball towards the pokemon. The pokeball swallowed the rare, wild pokemon and a metal sound was heard as the pokemon was finally and officially captured. The team of the trainer had just grown a little bit with a very strong pokemon... And as the trainer looked at his pokedex, he realized that he had just caught a Dewott, a pokemon that was originally found in the Unova region and was classified as the discipline pokemon...
