| Kingdom Hearts Sidestory- Chapter 1:
Opening VideoIntroductionIt has only been few days since Ansem, Seeker of Darkness had been defeated by a young boy... The threat of the Organization XIII is about to become clear very soon. However, as the Organization members make their moves and Castle Oblivion is filled with people inside, something else happens to the outside worlds... CHAPTER 1Traverse Town... It is night. Everything seemed to be quiet for the last three days. No sings of heartless appeared and everything looked peaceful. Traverse Town was finally a peaceful place... And in that town, a young boy is lurking around. He walks towards a bar and enters. There, he sees a couple of people drinking. Two of them were some muscular men while there was a girl with a doll and a strange woman. Also, at the corner there was another, quiet man with blond hair who was carrying a big sword... He walked towards the bartender. He was about to order something to drink but right before he did the strange woman looked at him with a kind face and said "Be careful Arxos... Something might happen to you if you don't. Greed is a bad thing..." Arxos froze. As soon as the words reached his ears he turned his back at her and started running away. He run as fast as possible. How did that woman know his name? He had never met her before in his whole life... He did not remember telling her his name. That was something that never happened to him since he remembered himself... After running around for a while, the young boy moves towards the great bell. There, he sits and tries to think what was the thing that recently happened to him. However, as he thinks the bell starts ringing... And as the bell rings the boy falls unconscious and sleeps...And while sleeping, he dreams of some things... The boy saw himself in a dark place. There was only a door in front of him and the current floor he was on. On the floor, there was the picture of a boy that looked just like he did. What a coincidence... He had probably reached the deepest part of hiself. He moved towards the door and pushed it forward. Although there was nothing behind the door he was led into another place that was different than the one he was at before. There was a place with his face on the floor again but instead of the door there were three chests on it. He moved towards them and opened one of them... It contained a sword. He picked up the sword. It was heavy, but he could handle it. The chest immediately disappeared... He was left with the sword and with two chests and he did not know what to do at that time. Since nothing happened after he opened the first chest he did not bother opening the other two ones. The time was passing. The boy could feel himself getting more and more used to the sword he had just obtained. He thought: "Hm... What if these chests contain two other weapons? That would be awesome!" He moved towards the second chest and looked at it. He slowly opened it and he saw a shield. He picked it up. However, as he was picking it up, the other chest was slowly fading. Arxos did not want to let it go, though. Without thinking and based completely on his instincts, he threw his sword on the lock of the chest, opening it and making the item that was contained in it fall on the floor as soon as the chest was opened. The chest had faded but the item was still there. He smiled and moved towards it. He got all of the three weapons. He picked it up as well. He was now carrying all the three weapons that were in the chest... He thought that the game had ended. However, before he could celebrate he listened to a voice coming from behind "So... You decided to take a different path...". The man who was speaking was a hooded man with a black hood. He completely his words before going away "This is going to be interesting... You might have caused havoc because of your greed..." "Hey! What do you mean?!" the boy asked him. He had just remembered the words of the woman... He was greedy right after he was asked not to be greedy. Before he could get an answer, though the man disappeared. And as he disappeared, the boy listened to a freaking voice . He looked above his head and countless black colored creatures that looked very dangerous were falling towards him out of nowhere. The boy was shocked and before anything happened to him, he woke up. Arxos had done something bad... As he opened his eyes he realized that he was lying on the ground and he looked at the sky of Traverse Town... He believed that the strange nightmare had just ended. Everything looked ordinary and peaceful... Until... He heard the same freaking voice again. He got up immediately and he noticed that the whole traverse town was attacked by some strange creatures... The ones of his dream. Along with his soul who was back at his world, the darkness appeared at his world as well.The people of Traverse town were screaming and asking for help. Hearts started appearing at the sky. The black creatures were slaying people and taking their hearts... And as their hearts were taken away, it also looked like the creatures were getting multiplied every second that happened to pass! Arxos shouted "WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!" "I told you... This is the path you chose... The path of greed... The path of havoc... These creatures reason of existing is taking other people's hearts... And they have come out because of your greed. Do you know what that means?" "No... How am I supposed to?!" "They are as greedy as you are... They are slaying people endlessly to take their hearts and receive a Heartless... The more hearts they take the more satisfied they are... But greed has no ends." "What?! Taking... Hearts? And what are those Heartless things?!" "Heartless are some mysterious monsters that seek the hearts of other people to create more and more heartless and fill the world with...darkness! And these things you have summoned are actually... Heartless." "Darkness?! Do you mean that-that they are about to seek every single heart here?!" "Indeed... You must do something... Or this place is doomed." "What?! Doomed?! No way! I am not allowing this!" "Hmph... You seem to have a strong will... But you did not prove it when you could seal them away at the deep of your heart. They came out of your heart after you chose the path of greed. If you let them devour you at that place, you would be dead and not any of them would be here to gather the hearts of people..." "..." "You have nothing to say, do you? I guess you do not. How unfortunate... The person who brought the end to Traverse Town is nothing more than a mere coward..." "No! I am not a coward!" "Oh, yes you are. If you were not, you would not be standing here... Instead, you would go and face all of those Heartless..." "And how am I supposed to do so?!" "Hahaha. This is an answer I am afraid I cannot give... Face them... And find by yourself..." "Fine! I will go just to prove you that I am not a coward!". Those were the final words of the boy... Then, he turned his back on the man, who had actually already disappeared, and he moved forward towards the Heartless in order to think of a way to defeat them...
- Chapter 2:
CHAPTER 2
As the Heartless continue taking the hearts of people, Arxos, the boy who caused this whole incident moves towards them in order to prove to the mysterious cloaked man that he is not a coward and that he will take responsibility for his actions. Even if he was afraid, he did not care. If he beat them he would never be called a coward again and his home, Traverse Town, would finally be fine.
Meanwhile, as he moves... The cloaked man appears at the top of the bell's tower. Some other hooded people with black cloaks also happen to be there. They were all looking the same... They said to the mysterious man who was talking to Arxos before
"So, you are back. How did things go?" one of them asked.
"Ah... Everything was perfect... The boy is already manipulated..."
"Was it that easy? Chck... I guess I could have gone, too~~~" another one said.
"It was not that easy, fool. I am just perfect at manipulating people..."
"Chck... Whatever."
Arxos is still advancing towards the heartless. As he approaches them his face seems to be more and more determined while at the same time he cries for the havoc he just caused. He did not want to cause all these things. He just wanted to get the third box as well... He did not mean to cause that havoc at all. He just did not know the consequences of his actions... He would save the remaining people, though, even if that meant that he would die. After running for a while, he finally managed to find one of the heartless. The Heartless was much bigger than he imagined. He thought
"How shall I deal with these thing?!"
It was a big creature with dark vines on its back and yellow eyes. Also, it was completely black. It was a creature that was made of the darkness in Arxos' heart. By watching it, Arxos realized that he was not only trying to save the people of Traverse Town but he was also facing the darkness of his heart. The creature looked at him. It screamed and was about to smash him. The boy jumped away from its attack and said
"I shall defeat you!" with a determined face.
An epic battle would engage!
The Heartless was smashing the ground endlessly as Arxos was dodging any incoming attacks. As he was moving away, the boy could not figure out of any ways to beat it. He had no weapons to attack it but even if he did, it looked like they would not affect it at all. However, as he was moving he suddenly fell on the ground. The boy was about to be smashed. He looked at the Heartless and placed his hand forward. As he moved his hand forward, though, something appeared on the hand and protected him from the punch of the Heartless. It was a strange weapon that looked like a weapon. He thought
"This thing might be capable of destroying this Heartless!" as he got up and rushed forward in an attempt to strike it.
The Heartless was very big and could not match his movements. It would not let him go, though. He wanted to kill him. It was smashing the ground more and more hoping to kill him soon... Arxos moved under the heartless and started striking it on its knees rapidly, using the key-like weapon like a rapier. With his swift attacks, he soon caused damage to the leg of the giant heartless making it fall on the damaged knee. Then, Arxos jumped on the knee and started climbing on it while striking it quickly as he was moving forward. He believed that he would defeat it if he striked its head. His hopes were lost, though after the injury of the heartless was healed and it immediately got on its feet again, knocking Arxos on the ground. The boy took some damage from falling but still he would not give up. He was about to go and strike the heartless the same way as before. Before he did anything, though, the heartless jumped upwards and as soon as it fell on the ground it caused a big shockwave that made Arxos' body move upwards without his own will. What an attack! Then, as he was still on the sky, the giant creature smashed him with its right hand and sent him on the ground, bleeding. The boy got up and said
"Damn it! You won't defeat me!" as he moved forward again in a desperate attempt to defeat the heartless. The heartless, did the same trick again. It jumped on the air. However, as it was reaching the ground Arxos jumped and the shockwave gave force to him to jump even higher. He said
"This is the end! Stupid Heartless!" as he moved the rapier forward.
He was moving with extreme speed and strength towards the heartless due to the force he gained when it created the shockwave... And as he was reaching it more and more he knew he won the battle. Before the heartless could do anything he moved through its head and it slowly faded. The first battle had finally ended. He balanced himself as he was landing on the ground again. He smiled. He had defeated a part of his own darkness. However, there were many other Heartless to defeat in the place. He said
"6 more to go..." after he counted them.
Then, the hooded man appeared again and said
"Well done... You are strong... Indeed... Good job... You may go now. I will take care of the rest of those things... You shall travel to other worlds... And slay the heartless you brought out. As for Traverse Town... It is doomed. You just got to protect any other worlds before the heartless reach them!"
"What?!" the boy said with a shocked face.
"You heard me." Those were the last words of the man who then appeared in front of the boy and touched him on the forehead. The boy suddenly disappeared and he said
"Well done Arxos... Your will shall help me and my plans..."
- Chapter 3:
CHAPTER 3
After the mysterious man touched Arxos to his forehead the boy fell asleep once again and disappeared from Traverse Town... He was sent to a very different place that he have never seen before... The most weird thing though was his appearance had changed! He looked like a childish boy and he felt like he could not move his body. He unfortunately was under something weird that looked like a toy and he could not move. He could barely see a boy that was playing with some toys. He tried to move but nothing happened... He did not say anything until he could understand what was going on...
Some time later, though, the boy left from the room. Then the toy got up. It was a cowboy dressed toy. It said
"You! How did you come here?! You are not a new toy! I know all of the toys that come to this place!"
"Toy?! What do you mean?!" Arxos asked with a surprised face. He had not realized yet that he was turned into a toy...
"Dude, you are a toy! Don't you know it?!"
"Me?! A toy?! No way!"
"Yes way! You are a toy... Just like me... and just like that stupid astronaut called Buzz Lightyear... That dude thinks he is something just because he is an advanced model..."
"Advanced...Model?! Toys that are talking?! Impossible!"
"Damn, you don't understand, do you? WE ARE TOYS! Got it memorized?"
"..."
Then, as the conversation takes place a strange man that looked like a potato slowly comes towards the place. He takes a look at the newcomer and says
"Woody, who is that guy?"
"Ah... He is a newcomer probably that doesn't even know he is a toy!"
"Oh, that's it?"
"Yeah, Mr. Potato."
After that, Mr. Potato turned towards Arxos and said
"I am Mr. Potato... And that cowboy is Woody. We are all toys that belong to Andy, the boy who happened to be in the room before. You are probably a newcomer, so you don't know all these stuff... But if you have any questions feel free to ask me." as he turned his back and moved back at his place to sleep.
Arxos, had many questions but he did not like bothering other people that much. He would not ask anything to Mr. Potato, for sure... The only thing he knew up until now was that he had turned into a toy... And he had to search for a way to get out of that world and turn back to his normal appearance. Many questions remained unexplained for the new world he had just visited and would be answered to him soon... Very soon... Then, the boy decided to explore the whole place. There were many toys around. He introduced himself to them and they did the same to him as well. However, he could not find the one that Woody was talking about. Buzz Lightyear was not anywhere around. Where could he have been? He would find him for sure, even if that took him searching around the whole room...
Then, as he was searching his luck helped him to find the toy. A small toy screamed
"Help! Somebody!"
"Don't worry toy! Buzz Lightyear is here!" a voice said.
"Help me Buzz! Please! I, I am about to fall from the window!"
"Don't worry! I already told you! Buzz Lightyear is here! Relax!" he said again as he moved his hand forward and grabbed the toy.
However, as he was grabbing the toy Andy happened to enter the room. Not knowing what to do to cover himself, Buzz carelessly let the toy fall from his hand and reached the grass of the garden. He shouted
"NO! HELP!" but everyone could not do anything as Andy still was in the room and they were frozen at the boy's pressence. They should not reveal that toys used to talk like any other humans...
And this was only the begining of another epic battle that would engage soon...
- Chapter 4:
CHAPTER 4
After arriving at a strange place with many talking toys, Arxos realized that he was turned into a toy as well! Now, the owner of all those toys is in the room and he is forced to not move so that the boy won't understand that he can talk while another toy is in danger after falling in the garden? What is going to happen now?
Right after the boy enters the room he picks up Woody. He says
"Oh, Woody! Let's play in the garden!" and he starts heading for the garden.
If Andy found out the toy that fell on the garden he would understand that something was wrong. The toys had to do something in order to hide the fact that they actually existed. Buzz said
"Damn it! We got to do something!"
"What are we supposed to do, Buzz? It's your mistake!" Mr. Potato Head said
"I don't know! We will just jump down and help the toy!"
"What?! Are you kidding me Buzz?"
"No, I don't...
Then, Arxos interfered
"Wait, Buzz Lightsomething, it's your fault so you got to help the toy!"
"You are right! I am Buzz Lightyear the space ranger!" Then, he moved at the window and continued speaking "To infinity... and beyond!" as he jumped down in an attempt to save the toy.
Arxos was surprised. It seemed like Buzz was not the bad guy that Woody described. He thought
"Wow... He is brave after all... He jumped to infinity and bey-I mean, he jumped out of the window! Damn!"
Mr. Potato Head and the other toys looked at Arxos and laughed. Their new roomate was funny. He was acting strange and he seemed like he could not get used to anyone around... He probably could not accept his toy nature... Arxos shouted
"Hey, who are you laughing at?!" However, as he speaked those words he fell from the window on the garden as well.
Much to his surprise there was nobody around. Buzz and the toy should be around him. But they were gone somehow. Now, he had to find a way to hide himself before Andy came with Woody... He stood up and prepared himself to hide. However, before he even moved he listened to a young boy's scream! He run towards the place where the scream came from and he watched Andy on the ground unconscious while Woody was trying to defend him. There were a couple of Heartless around them. They probably came there somehow, too. It was up to Arxos to save them. He summoned the keyblade and he rushes forward and striked the tiny heartless, destroying them. Woody was surprised by the strength of Arxos but instead of asking him how he managed to destroy the heartless so easily, he said
"Buzz and the toy! Those things! They were brought here by... Sid! That monster who is experimenting on toys! He came here and took Buzz and the other toy with him! We have to save them! He said that he created the ultimate toys! The ones that can move and be controled by him! It's impossible! They are very strong! They even hurt Andy... And now, he is probably going to experiment on Buzz and the toy! He will make them freaks!"
Arxos looked angry. The heartless were causing problems again in this world, too. He had to stop them so that they would not end up like Traverse Town...
At the meantime, in Sid's house... Sid arrives there with Buzz and the other toy on his hand. He laughs endlessly and says
"Yeah! Those toys! I can control them! With Buzz Lightyear under my control, there will be no toy that will escape from my Mad Doctor game!"
"You are right. You did as I said and you finally did it..." somebody else said. He was wearing a black hood and a black cloak... He probably had something to do with the man from Traverse Town. He continued speaking "If you continue working on the toys the way I told you, you shall have your own toy army... And the strongest toys in the world..."
"Right..."
As that conversation took place, Arxos was heading towards Sid's house. He was about to save the toys no matter what, but most importantly he would beat the heartless that he brought out of himself... This would be another battle with himself... He would face the darkness of himself once again. And arrives at Sid's house with Woody, the cloaked man looks at him from the window of Sid's room carefully... The plan of those mysterious people was going on successfully.
- Chapter 5:
CHAPTER 5"Anyway... I have to get going now..." were the mysterious man's words before he opened a dark pillar and vanished into it. Sid tried to stop him by saying "Wait!" but the man was gone... At the meantime, Arxos and Woody were finally inside the house of Sid. As soon as they got inside, Arxos said "Be careful, Woody. If those things appear... We might be in danger!" "Don't worry for me, newcomer! We got to save Buzz and the other toy right now!" "You are right!" "If something happened to Buzz... Andy would feel bad. Not to mention that Sid's toys hurt Andy!" "Well, they were not toys..." "Huh?! Do you know them?!" "I have fought with them before..." "Huh?! Really? But how? You are a toy, you are not a warrior!" "If I bothered explaining, it would take me a while..." "Then, why should I be trusting you? You are keeping secrets from me and you want me to trust you?" "It's not that... It's just that I don't know much about them as well... I know that they are called "Heartless" and that they steal the hearts of people to clone themselves... But I don't know anything else!" "What did you say?! Then-Then they will try to steal Buzz's heart! We got to hurry, newcomer!" Right after saying these things, Woody moved forward and started climbing up the stairs, getting seperated from Arxos. As he was on the stairs, a bunch of Heartless appeared out of nowhere and surrounded him. He said "What?! How did they come here?!" "Calm down! I am coming!" were Arxos' words. The boy wanted to relax him. However, before he started climbing up the stairs another bunch of Heartless appeared around Arxos. The boy said "Damn... How many of you are here?!" as he summoned his keyblade and moved towards the one who happened to be in front of him, slashed it and destroyed it (RIP  ). Then, he turned a Heartless from behind jumped towards him on order to attack him on his back. However, he turned behind, based on his instict solely, and slashed it on the chest with his keyblade before it damaged him. Afterwards, he jumped towards another Heartless which was at the left and hit it with the keyblade on the head like his keyblade was a hammer. He started speaking his words "Hang on Woody! I will finish with those things in no time!" "Okay! I can hold my own, but hurry up!!!!!" "Got it!" After realizing that Woody could hold his own for a while, he moved towards the fourth Heartless while charging his keyblade with both his hands. As soon as he reached it, he slashed it at the right of its back, destroying it just like any other Heartless. He was done with those heartless. However, there were also the ones which were chasing Woody. He run towards them and moved his keyblade forward. He was planning to strike them... but something weird happened. Instead, thunders started coming out of nowhere, striking the heartless with their electric power and destroying them. Appearently, they keyblade user had just learned how to perform a Thunder attack... Seeing what happened, Woody was surprised. Arxos was much stronger than he looked... And now the two of them, after climbing up the stairs are about to open the door to Sid's room for the final showdown with the "Mad Doctor".
- Chapter 6:
CHAPTER 6
"WE ARE COMING, BUZZ!" Arxos and Woody screamed as they kicked the door and opened it, revealing themselves to Sid. The young boy was holding Buzz on his hands and he was about to perform a "surgery" on him. Things were bad! Something should be done immediately.
"Huh? More toys?" Sid said with an evil look on his face and he stared towards them. "Come out my toy army!" he continued saying and a bunch of little heartless appeared and surrounded Woody and Arxos as he was about to finally work on Buzz.
"Is this where Buzz Lightyear's journey to infinite and beyond is about to end?" Buzz said with a worried look on his face. He was looking at Sid who had taken an evil look and each second that passed, the more depressed he was.
"Hang on, Buzz! I am not letting you die!" Woody said as he jumped and started sweeping his lasso around before throwing towards Sid's hand that was carrying his "equipment", stopping it before it would damage Buzz. Woody was using all of his strength and was preventing Sid from attacking Buzz, although, he did not have much time left. "Arxos! Destroy those things and take down Sid as soon as possible! I can't hold him for long!".
"Damn... Okay, Woody. Count on me!" Arxos said and he started running towards one of the heartless, striking it on the head and making it fade into the darkness, before he moved his keyblade horizontally once more to strike another heartless and destroy it.
"Come out toys!" Sid said with a smile on his face and as soon as he spoke his words, more countless started appearing, even approaching Woody to make him stop grabbing Sid.
"Thunder!" Arxos said and he started creating thunders with the help of his keyblade, destroying a few of the heartless. Then, he started running swiftly towards one and another and he stabbed them with the keyblade, eliminating all of them.
"Huh? How can my toys be destroyed? I guess I should use that, too! Come out, Toyless!" Sid said and a new type of heartless appeared.
Apparently, this new heartless looked much like a teddy bear. However, instead of an eye it had an eyepatch and it had a gatling gun installed on its left hand. It was pink colored and it was three times the size of Arxos. Apparently, that was the toy that fell from the window and it was very, very different... Sid experimented on it and turned it into a heartless.
"WHAT IS THAT THING?!" Woody said as he looked at the heartless.
"Oh man! If he keeps calling forth heartless like that there is no way we can defeat him!" Arxos said and he started rushing towards Toyless that was attacking by rapidly firing from his gatling gun. Arxos swiftly moved around and he dodged the bullets. Afterwards, he swiftly slashed the toy at the leg, making it lose its balance.
"That's it!" Woody remarked. "Attack its legs to make it lose its balance and strike its head to destroy it!"
"Right!" Arxos said and with a serious look on his face he started running towards the second leg. As soon as he started running, two heartless appeared in front of him and he destroyed them with two more swift slashes, before throwing his keyblade on Toyless' leg and making it fall on his knees.
"That's your chance!" Woody said and Arxos started running towards the keyblade.
"You are done for, heartless!" he said as he grabbed the keyblade and he jumped and strike the heartless with a combination of random slashes at the jaw, causing it terrible damage and making it fall on the floor.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Sid said as he looked towards the heartless that had just been destroyed and during his surprise, Buzz fell off his hands.
"We did it!" both Woody and Arxos said. "Let's go now!" Woody continued saying and he run towards Buzz, finally reuniting with him.
"You are not going anywhere!" Sid said. "Come out my little toys! Hahahahahahahahaha!" he continued speaking as he got surrounded with an aura of darkness before calling many heartless that filled the room.
"Damn, they are way too many! We can't beat them with our weapons, easily."
"You are wrong!" Woody said. "WE CANNOT BEAT THEM!"
"Run! Run towards the window! We are going to jump out!" Arxos proposed and Woody and Buzz agreed to do so. Without losing any time, Woody used his lasso and threw it towards the window's handle, grabbing it. Then, both he and Buzz started moving with the help of the rope above, climbing towards the window and opening it.
"This is our chance to run from those things!" Buzz said. "Come on!"
"Come on, Arxos!" Woody said.
"I am coming!" the young boy said and he used a last thunder attack towards the heartless before he used all of his strength to jump high and reach the window. The two toys had just opened it. The only thing that they needed to do was to jump.
"Let's do it..." the three of them said and they all opened their mouth and spoke four words as they jumped "TO INFINITE AND BEYOND!!!". Arxos and the toys jumped from the window and they started falling on the garden. Sid stared at them as they left and screamed, while the new team was laughing at him. Even if he managed to turn the toy into a heartless, at least Buzz was saved...
- Chapter 7:
CHAPTER 7
"WE DID IT!!!" both Woody, Buzz and Arxos screamed while they were falling and looked at each other while smiling. However, while falling something unexpected happened. Right below Arxos, a dark portal opened, sinking him into the darkness and making him disappear.
"ARXOS!" Woody shouted as the boy disappeared into the darkness. Both Woody and Buzz attempted to enter the portal but before they did so, the portal closed. Arxos was gone...
One hour later...
"Where am I?" Arxos said with a surprised look on his face as he opened his face, only to find out that he was in a completely dark area. There seemed to be nothing more than complete darkness. He could not see anything in front of him.
"Don't be afraid... You are in the Realm of Darkness..." a voice was heard.
"It is you!" Arxos said with a serious look on his face, even though nobody would see it anyway.
"Indeed... I came here to tell you that your fight with the Heartless is going perfectly. I see that you are eager to correct your mistakes rather than escape from them. That is very nice to see..."
"I don't remember asking you to inform me about my progress..."
"Of course you didn't... I came here by myself. I came here to congratulate you and more importantly... To inform you..."
"Hm? Inform me?"
"Yes, Arxos. I can smell it... You are unique compared to the other Keyblade users... Most Keyblade users destroy their Heartless. The Heartless they destroy give out a heart... A heart that is used to form Kingdom Hearts."
"Kingdom Hearts? What is that? Are you kidding me?"
"Hahaha... You are funny. You are not allowing me to complete my sentence and you are mocking my speech... Anyway... Listen. When a heart is unleashed by the Keyblade, it is going for the creation of Kingdom Hearts... It is the heart of all worlds, and a source of great power and wisdom. It can be seen as the heart of everything. However, as I stated, you are different. You have a greedy heart which changed the nature of your keyblade... When your Keyblade destroys a Heartless, instead of having the heart go to form Kingdom Hearts, the heart goes inside you... You are storing the hearts inside you and along with them the darkness that surrounds them, including the darkness of the Heartless. As a result, if you slay all those Heartless you unleashed it will be like you are absorbing them inside you and you shall revert things to normal. There is one last thing, though...
"Huh? As if I understood all those things you are saying about hearts!"
"You do understand them, Arxos... Do not avoid your fate... Anyway, let me continue. As you absorb the hearts of the Heartless, you are also granted the powers... You have darkness powers which you need to unleash in order to continue your travels. Embrace your darkness, Arxos... And a good way to do so is to seek the power of darkness inside you to use it to get out of the Realm of Darkness.
"Realm... of Darkness? Is this how this place is called?"
"See? You understand things easier than you act you do... You can use the darkness however you want. You can use it to attack or you can use it to travel... It does not matter to me how you do so... It is just my advice as it can help you in your journey... You can either use your darkness to call the Heartless to fight for you or to travel with the Corridors of Darkness... It is completely up to you.
"Darkness, huh?"
"Yes..."
"But wait a minute... Why are you helping me? What is the reason you are offering me this advice?"
"I am just a friend, Arxos... Hahaha." the hooded man said before a strange sound was heard, as if a portal was opened and closed. It seemed that the man was gone... However, as he left, he left something behind... Arxos was thinking of the darkness and the various ways to use it.
"Damn... How shall I embrace that darkness?" he yelled as he could not find a way. "Maybe... Yes... The keyblade..." he whispered and he summoned his keyblade, prepared to do something.
- Chapter 8:
CHAPTER 8
"This it it..." Arxos said with a smile on his face, as he pointed himself with his keyblade and twirled the keyblade, as if he was unlocking something. Soon afterwards his body started getting surrounded by darkness. The young boy had just unlocked the darkness of his heart and he was now able to use it as he wanted. "I can feel the power inside me growing tremendously... It's awesome.. Maybe that man really wanted to help me..." he commented before he moved his hand foward, opening a portal of darkness which he used to travel away from the place he was at. Arxos had just left from the Realm of Darkness and he was traveling to a new place that he did not know...
As soon as the young boy crossed the portal of darkness he had just created, he found himself to a completely different place. That place was an area at which apparently he had never been before. It looked a lot like a ship. It was a very big ship and around it there was nothing else except from sea...
"What is this place?" Arxos wondered as he looked around. Many people were walking... Most of the women were wearing fedora hats and they wore long dresses. Many of the men were wearing suits while others were dressed with very cheap clothes. There were also many sailors around who were walking and carrying stuff.
"Huh? What are you talking about?" a blond man said to Arxos, surprised with the man who did not know anything about the ship. The man was dressed with clothes that only third class passengers would wear. He was quite young and he had a beautiful face, even for a man. "You don't know which this place is? How did you get here?"
"Well, if I tell you I doubt you will believe me anyway... So I won't say a thing..."
"I have seen many things in my life, so telling me wouldn't matter at all."
"Trust me... You will think that I am crazy."
"To be honest, I already think that you are crazy... You came out of nowhere, standing on a place as if you don't know where you are and you are talking to a stranger..."
"You might be right about that... What is your name?"
"Ah, my name is Jack."
"Well, Jack, now I am not that crazy... I am just a guy who came out of nowhere to a place he doesn't know... I am not talking to a stranger anymore."
"You are trying to look funny, aren't you?"
"Huh? I am not joking!" Arxos said with a smile on his face, as he spoke his words. Then, he started laughing, making Jack smile as well. "I am just acting naturally..."
"Acting naturally? Is that how you usually behave... guy I don't know?"
"Wow, don't speak to strangers like that! People might believe that you are crazy!" Arxos commented, irritating the man in a funny way and making him look funny. "I am joking..." he said, telling the truth this time. "My name is Arxos..."
"I see... That is a quite strange name."
"Huh? Strange? As if Jack is not!"
"It definitely is not... I know many people with the name of Jack... Jack of Hearts, Jack of Spades, Jack of Clubs... That's how I got on this ship, anyway."
"Huh? So many Jacks? Wow... I guess Arxos is a rare name..."
"You bet..."
"So, Jack... Can you tell me where we are now?"
"Huh? Can you really not understand? You should now if you are reading the newspapers..."
"Newspapers?"
"Everybody is talking about it... You are on the biggest ship of the world which is on its very first voyage, sailing at the land of dreams... You are on... Titanic!"
"Titanic?"
Apparently, Arxos had just appeared on a ship... What is that ship named "Titanic" and what is going to happen on it? There were so many mysteries that were about to be unfolded...
- Chapter 9:
CHAPTER 9After being sent into the realm of darkness by the mysterious man with the black hood and talking with him, Arxos learned about the darkness inside him and so he unlocked the darkness of his heart to use it to create a corridor of darkness to get away from the Realm. Now, with newfound powers he has arrived at a place that he has never been before, a ship called "Titanic". On that ship, Arxos met a young man named Jack... However, except from Jack he is about to meet other people as well... "Titanic, huh?" Arxos said with a surprised look on his face. "I never heard of it." "Oh, come on! It's the ship of dreams! It gives you the opportunity to go to the land of dreams and chase your dr-" Jack started saying before he suddenly stopped for an unknown reason. He stopped looking at Arxos and his look moved towards a very young woman who was arguing with another woman that was much older than her. Although it was kind of difficult to listen, Arxos and Jack paid attention to the conversation of the two women. "I do not want him!" the young woman said with an angry and sad look on her face at the same time. "You will marry him, Rose! Think of your family's status... If you marry Cal, you will ensure the future of our family.. Rose, dear... Listen to me." "I do not want to, mother!" Rose said with a sad look on her face before she turned her back at her mother and started running away while covering her face with her arm in order to hide her tears. Her mother was about to run but before she did so, she looked around. There were many people looking at them... She could not chase after the girl. If she did so, she would risk embarassing herself and her family. Instead, she grabbed a fan and started moving it around, chilling herself. "Ignorant girl..." she commented to herself. "Those two were arguing..." Arxos said with a look on his face that was full of curiosity. "Yes, they did..." Jack said before he started running towards the direction of Rose without saying anything at all. "Wait! Where are you going, Jack?" Arxos said and he started running behind the young man in order to reach him. For quite a while the two of them run... Until some time later, they reached an abandoned area of the ship were many packages were standing one atop another. "Damn... Why are you following me, Arxos?!" Jack said to the boy with an irritated look on his face. "I didn't know that this annoyed you!" Arxos said. "Meh, it didn't annoy me... But looks... That girl needs my... Erm... Assistance." "Your assistance? Haha! Let me laugh, Jack! You are just trying to hit on her!" "Sssssssssssh! She might be around! I don't want her to listen to us... And by the way, is it alright for a child like you to speak like that?" "I am not a child... I am a teenager! And secondly, if anybody looked at you when you looked at her, they would understand that... AND WAIT A MINUTE?! SHOULDN'T I KNOW ABOUT THINGS LIKE THESE?" "Yeah, right..." Jack said. "Now, go." he completed before he started walking again forward. However, while walking something unexpected happened... "YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! HELP!!!!!!!!" a woman's voice was heard that sounded a lot like Rose's. "HEEEEEELP ME!". "I'll go alone!" Jack said and he started walking towards the direction where the woman's voice came from. "Could it be... the Heartless?" Arxos said before he followed Jack from afar in order to see if he was right. If it was the Heartless, then he would assist him. If not, he would wait to see what Jack would do as he did not ask for his help...
Meanwhile, in one of the ship's cabins..."So... Is the deal agreed?" a hooded man with a black coat said to another man. That man... His voice was familiar. It was the man who was speaking to Arxos and had guided him through his journey. "Indeed... I am going to provide you with my assistance over anything you need related to money and you shall provide me with your soldiers for protection..." a man with black hair who happened to wear an expensive suit, said. "Well, those men cannot be used solely for protection... If you know what I mean... Mr. Caledon Nathan Hockley. You can take advantage of them however you want... From now on, I shall grant you access to summon them." "Summon them? What do you mean? Are you kidding me?" "Those are some special bodyguards... You will find out by yourself." the man with the hood said and he opened the door to get out of Caledon's cabin. He closed the door. A second afterwards, Caledon opened the door. However, the man was gone... What is the man with the hood trying to do? What are his true motives? So many questions started rising...
- Chapter 10:
CHAPTER 10
"Damn! What are those things!" Jack said with a worried look on his face, as he looked at two dark creatures that were about to strike Rose. The two creatures were two big sized ants in Jack's eyes with the difference that they had yellow eyes... He did not know that those things were actually Heartless.
"Heartless!" Arxos said with a serious look on his face as he started running towards Jack's direction and jumped, landing in front of Jack, prepared to defend him. The Heartless were about to move towards him and he would have to protect him.
"Heartless? What do you mean, Arxos? Do they have to do anything with you?"
"Some of them... Well, it's a long story. I told you that you didn't want to learn where I came from."
"Huh?" Jack said and looked at Arxos summoning the Keyblade on his hand. Afterwards, the young boy started striking the Heartless that had appeared on the ship and the two of them vanished into the darkness. They were probably absorbed by Arxos.
"What-What is that thing?" a surprised Jack said to Arxos but before he could get an answer, Arxos turned his back at Jack and said
"That is none of your business, Jack. Take care of the girl. She needs somebody's assistance and you seem to be the right person for it."
"Huh? Wait!" Jack said but before he could do so, Arxos vanished by summong a corridor of darkness in front of him and leaving from the place.
Inside the realm of darkness...
"Are you leaving from this place? Will you let the Heartless take it over?" the man with the emotionless voice said to Arxos as soon as he entered the realm.
"Of course not..." Arxos said with a serious look on his face. "I just came here to ask you something... There is something I need to know, man with name of no importance."
"Huh? You have questions?"
"Indeed... Did you think that I would trust a man who appeared to me out of nowhere? I need to know... Why? Why do the Heartless appear in every world I get?! They should only be in Traverse Town! What happens in these worlds is unexplained!"
"It is because they would get here, eventually. With your appearance to these worlds, a gate between the worlds opens and so the Heartless find a way to come there. Remember... You are attracting all the hearts that the Heartless release, so it is easy for the Heartless to follow you. They can sense you wherever you go and they will follow you to steal all those hearts you have gathered. The more power you receive, the more heartless will come towards you..."
"But then... Why not me? Why did they attack Rose?"
"Because it is impossible for them to defeat you and take your hearts without getting more Heartless to assist them. If they want all-out against you, then there would be problems. However, if they gather an army, they shall have more chances of victory against an enemy like you. Don't be fooled by their appearance. The Heartless are quite smart and they become smarter the more they are attracted to the darkness."
"Smart, huh..." Arxos said as he opened a corridor of darkness in front of him to get back to the ship. "I guess I'll have to prove that I am smarter..." he continued, before he passed through the gate and disappeared.
"That's the spirit, Arxos. Prove that you are smarter than them and prove to be useful to the plans of the Organization... Hahahahaha." the man commented before he disappeared from his position.
Is that man related to the Organization? And what are his true motives? What are his plans for Arxos? There are so many questions that need to be answered...

CHAPTER 11
After his short conversation with the man with the black hood, Arxos returned back to the ship in order to find Jack and Rose. He would have to protect them, as well as the rest of the passengers of the ship. With those Heartless appearing at the place, he would have to give everything he had to protect the ship from them and to ensure the safety of the ship. The majority of the people who were there did not look like they were able to do anything at all against the Heartless. Most of them looked like rich, snobbish people or much like poor people who had no will to fight at all who were only day dreaming without really chasing their dreams.
However, as soon as Arxos got to the place, he found out that he had wasted much time. Most of the people who were around had fallen down unconscious. From their bodies, their hearts were released outside and Heartless were created, much to Arxos' disappointment. Things were quite critical and the young boy did not know what to do. There was much trouble at the ship... He would have to interfere and stop the Heartless.
"Thunder!" Arxos said and he launched a thunder to a Shadow Heartless, completely destroying it with one hit and making it fade into the darkness. The heart that was released from the Heartless was absorbed inside Arxos' body and the boy could feel his strength getting greater. Then, he jumped towards a few other Heartless. He swang his keyblade, slashing one of them and taking it down, while he smashed another one to kill it. A third one jumped behind him in an attempt to strike him, but before it did so, the boy turned and attacked it with the keyblade, destroying it with ease. In a similar way, many other Heartless appeared around him and jumped towards him but Arxos spinned his body while pointing his keyblade forward, striking all the Heartless around him, destroying them. "Damn it... How did they manage to multiply so fast?"
"Arxos!" Jack's voice was heard from behind and the boy turned, only to see his friend alone.
"Jack!" Arxos responded. "What happened?"
"It has been two days since you disappeared! Where have you been?"
"Two days?! I was away for a few minutes, only! Wait... It must have been... The Realm of Darkness has wasted much of my time!"
"Huh? What are you talking about?"
"Nevermind... What is going on?"
"The last days those creatures have been multiplying and they are chasing the passengers! I am fighting them with everything I find, but it is impossible to do anything to them! They are way too strong!"
"Stand back, Jack! It's my time to make my move. You have done well, so far!"
"I can't! There's no way I can leave..."
"Huh?"
"There's no way I can leave Rose, like that!"
"Rose? What happened to her?"
"She... She has been kidnapped by those creatures!"
"Those damned Heartless... They are only causing problems!" Arxos said as he raised his keyblade to strike another Heartless that approached him. "Where did they take her?"
"She is inside the cabins, somewhere... I don't know where she is, though." Jack replied.
"I see... We can search for her... I will make the way to the cabins, as we stop the Heartless... Something fishy is going on here..."
"Huh? Something fishy?"
"Yes... I don't see why they would take care with them, instead of taking her heart?"
"Huh? Her heart? What are you saying?!" Jack said as he moved towards Arxos and grabbed him from the neck, angry with what he said. Jack was blinded by his rage over the Heartless and he started blaming Arxos, as he seemed to know something.
"Let me go!" Arxos said as he kicked Jack at the chest and made him take his hand off from his neck. "I only want to help Rose... And I say that if they did not want something from her, they would kill her! It's that simple!"
"But why would they need Rose?"
"Who knows... Maybe they are commanded by somebody... I have seen people commanding the Heartless..."
"Being... commanded? I see! I know who did it!" Jack said and he started running towards the cabins.
"Wait, Jack!" Arxos said and he started running behind him in order to reach him and ask him what he was suspecting.
What did Jack understand? And where was he going? Will he find Rose and finally... Will Rose be saved?
- Chapter 12:
CHAPTER 12
Arxos had been following Jack for quite a while... The young man was running towards a specific cabin and apparently, it looked like he was pretty sure about his actions. He looked as if he knew what was going on... He was ready to do anything for Rose and he would stop at nothing in order to achieve what he wanted; the girl's protection.
"DAMN! WAIT!" Arxos shouted to Jack, who was running so fast that the Heartless were unable to reach him. All of the Heartless were gathering behind him and Arxos would have to keep track of him so that he would destroy them with his Thunder technique. Each second, Arxos would swing his keyblade to launch a thunder around the Heartless that were behind the man, so that he would destroy them and protect him.
After running for many minutes, Jack stopped in front of a specific cabin. It looked like he knew who was inside it. Without wasting a single second, the young man kicked the door and opened it. Arxos, who was following him for quite a while arrived behind him as he kicked the door and the door opened, revealing a man with a black suit, standing right next to an unconscious Rose, Rose's mother and a priest who was there.
"Rose!" Jack said as he entered the cabin.
"Damn it! It's him, Cal!" Rose's mother said with an angry look on her face, as soon as she noticed Jack.
"You bastard! You are responsible for this! You are who kidnapped Rose and got her here! Why?!"
"Did I ever give you the right to ask me to apologize for what I did to my fiancee?" Cal said with a smile on his face.
"You..."
"It's you... I can smell it..." Arxos commented to Cal, interrupting the conversation between Jack, Rose's mother and Cal. "You are the one who is responsible for bringing those heartless... You smell a lot like darkness..."
"Heartless? I don't know what you are saying, little boy. And stand out of the way if you do not want to be eliminated by my bodyguards."
"I see..." Jack said. "You got Rose here with the help of those Heartless, or however they are called, so that you can marry her... But why?"
"It is simple, you filthy poor." Cal said. "By marrying Rose, our fortunes will become one and the same... And I, I mean we, shall be rich... FOREVER!" Cal completed.
"Fortune, huh? IS MONEY WHAT YOU WANT?" Jack said and jumped towards Cal, punching him at the face and breaking his nose.
"Damn you!" Cal said and grabbed Rose on his shoulders. "SOLDIERS! GET HIM!" he continued saying and he got out of the room with Rose. Before Arxos and Jack could follow them, many Heartless appeared in front of them. They would have to move past the Heartless in order to reach Cal and Rose. This was a battle they could not avoid.
"That guy... He does not know what he is doing!" Arxos said with a worried look on his face. "Listen, Jack! We got to find this guy and take him down... If we don't, not only Rose, but the whole ship might be destroyed by the Heartless!"
"I get it... But what are we going to do to move? It's impossible to move past those things!"
"Don't worry about it... I am just asking you... What are you willing to do for Rose?"
"I would do anything!"
"Fine... Then pull all the Heartless around you. I am going to try something to defeat them!"
"Okay... I hope your plan is going to work..."
"I hope so, too. GO!" Arxos said and Jack started running around the Heartless, drawing them around him. Then, without wasting any time, Arxos moved his Keyblade upwards and a few thunders fell down on the Heartless, striking them and destroying them, while also giving their hearts to Arxos.
"Thanks for the assistance!" Arxos said and he started running out of the room along with Jack.
"But wait... What about Rose's mother and the priest?" Jack asked with a worried look on his face.
"Don't worry... There are no more Heartless inside the room..." Arxos said as they got out with Jack. Then, he closed the door and pointed with the Keyblade towards it, sealing it for good. "As long as they do not do anything stupid, they shall be protected by the seal of the keyblade." Arxos remarked. "Now, let's go!" he said and the two of them started running around, hoping to find Cal and Rose.
The two of them would have to stop Cal before it was too late...
- Chapter 13:
CHAPTER 13
"STOP!" Jack screamed to Cal as the pair finally found him after running for quite a while. Apparently, Arxos was constantly beating any Heartless he found around himself and Jack while the young man was scanning the area in order to see whether Cal and Rose were there.
"As if!" Cal said before finally reaching the deck of the ship. "Rose shall be mine and you cannot stop me!" he screamed to Jack in order to make him understand that there was nothing he could do from preventing Rose to end up at his clutches. However, while he said so, Jack took a smile on his face. "Hey! Why are you laughing?" Cal asked and Jack said.
"You are an idiot... There's nowhere you can run! Hahaha!" Jack said, only for Cal to realize that they had reached the ship's deck and that it was impossible for him to escape from Arxos and Jack.
"Damn it!" Cal said as he stopped at the edge of the ship and Arxos and Jack finally stopped as well, trapping him. However, as soon as they stopped, something unexpected happened. The ship started trembling... Something was going on... It seemed like the ship had been destroyed by something. "Wha-What was that?" Cal said with a frightened look on his face.
"The ship! Damn it! Something wrong is going on!" Arxos commented. "The Heartless have probably destroyed it!". Then, the ship started slightly falling at the right.
"It is sinking!" Jack said before he pointed towards Cal with an angry look on his face.
"You... You idiot!" Arxos said while looking at Cal with an angry look on his face, as well. "You are responsible for this! The Heartless destroyed the ship and the ship is sinking!"
"I don't care about those Hearts you are talking about! Just leave me alone and let me do what I want to do with my fiancee!" Cal remarked to the angry people.
As soon as he spoke those words, Rose opened her eyes. She looked around only to see Jack and Arxos. "Jack... You've come..." she said.
"Yes, Rose! I won't let him do you any harm!" Jack said before he moved forward in order to attack Cal. However, as he did so, a Heartless that was called by Cal appeared in front of him and struck him, causing him some damage.
"JACK!" Rose screamed but while she did so, Cal placed his hand in front of her mouth in order to keep her silent.
"Imbeciles! You bunch of poor idiots! Do you really believe that you can take from me whatever I deserve? Come forth... My ultimate henchman!" Cal said and when he spoke those words, something unexpected happened. Right next to him, at the side of the sea, a giant Heartless came out. The heartless had a very light blue color. It looked a lot like an iceburg and it had red eyes. It was looking towards the ship that was moving towards it. The Heartless and the ship would collide with each other! Arxos had to stop Cal before it would be too late!
"DAMN YOU!" Arxos said as he grabbed his keyblade with his left hand, like a katana and he run towards Cal in order to slash him with it. As he did so, though, Cal summoned a Heartless as a shield in front of him, defending himself from the slash of the young boy. Then, he jumped at the giant Heartless he had just summoned and he started walking at the top of it, along with Rose.
"ROSE!" Jack said, while moving his hand towards Cal and Rose, desperately trying to reach them. The injury he had just received had caused him some damage and it was difficult for him to move.
"Come on, Jack!" Arxos said with a determined look on his face as he grabbed the young man at his shoulder. "We are following them!" he said and he jumped at the Heartless, as well, while the ship crushed with the Heartless and it received more damage. Its fate was finally sealed...
"The ship is getting destroyed!" Jack remarked.
"We have no time for that! We have to stop that "Cal" before it is too late! If we do so in time, I hope that everything will be restored back to normal!"
"Are you sure about that?"
"To be honest... No... But I can't think of another way to undo things!" Arxos commented and he started climbing at the top of the Heartless, where Cal and Rose were.
The ship was about to sink and Arxos and Jack would finally take on Cal at the top of the iceburg shaped Heartless. An epic battle was about to start... Who would emerge victorious from the battle? Would it be Cal, or Arxos and Jack?
- Chapter 14:
CHAPTER 14"I will not let you get away with that!" Arxos screamed to Cal, who was already at the top of the giant Heartless and was looking at himself and Jack with an evil smile on his face. "You idiots! By following me here, your fate is sealed!" Cal said as he summoned many Heartless around Arxos and Jack. Those Heartless were nothing related to the regular Shadows. They were bat shaped creatures that were moving in mazes towards the two friends who were desperately trying to save Rose. However, even if the Heartless were way too many, Arxos jumped high and slashed them with his keyblade, destroying them with ease. Then, he continued rushing towards Cal, who was surprised to see that the more Heartless Arxos was slaying, the stronger he got. "Huh?! The more bodyguards he destroys, the stronger he gets?!" Cal said with an angry look on his face. "I am not allowing that to happen!" he screamed as his body was surrounded with darkness and he merged with the iceburg, taking a completely new form. Battle SongThis time, the man's upper body was merged with the iceburg and he was carrying Rose on his right hand. Around him, there was a shield of darkness that prevented any damage to come towards him. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Cal laughed, overwhelmed by the power of Darkness which he received from the mysterious man. "YOU ARE PATHETIC!" he commented as Arxos and Jack reached him. "Thunder!" Arxos said, without saying anything to Cal, calling a thunder above the man. However, the thunder did not do anything at all. Instead, it was blocked by the shield of darkness and it looked like Cal had received no damage at all. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Don't you see?!" Cal commented and a hand was raised from the ground of the iceburg Heartless, attempting to strike Arxos and Jack. "Damn it!" Arxos said as he raised the Keyblade and struck the hand, cutting it in two. However, as the arm was cut, more arms sprouted from the ground and slapped Arxos and Jack, causing them great damage and making them fall down. Cal's power had dramatically increased. By merging with the iceburg he had ultimate control over the Heartless and he was able to manipulate it however he wanted. And there was that stupid shield around him, as well... It looked like he was having a great advantage. Cal had take a form which would be difficult to defeat. However, despite the fact that Cal had the upper hand in the battle, Arxos would not let his guard down and would not accept defeat. He stood up with a determined look on his face and he run towards the arms, slashing them one after another and destroying them. As soon as all the arms were destroyed, the shield around call disappeared for a while... It looked like by destroying those arms, Arxos would get a chance to land a few hits on Cal. "This is it!" Arxos said as he run towards Cal and started slashing him at the chest with the Keyblade, making him scream in pain and causing him some damage. However, the man was as strong willed as Arxos. He would not accept defeat that easily. Apparently, he was quite similar to the young boy. Cal was also greedy and would not accept defeat, no matter what the form of defeat was. Whether it was a defeat in a battle or in money, that was something he did not care about. The only thing he cared about was to win. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" he laughed after taking a few hits and he merged with the ground, reappearing out a few seconds later with a new shield around him. Then, more arms, around 50 appeared and they all started slamming the area around they keyblade wielder, who was also carrying Jack on his back. "Hmph!" Arxos said and he started slashing the arms one after another. He endlessly started slashing the arms, he rolled to dodge the arm strikes and make them hit each other and he would use his thunder technique to destroy many of them. In the end the arms were destroyed as well and Arxos rushed towards Cal once more, striking him with the Keyblade. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Cal laughed one more time, as he sprouted many arms, made of darkness, around him once more. All of the arms launched a few blasts of darkness but before they hit Arxos, the boy moved his keyblade forward, using it as a shield and reflecting the attack towards Cal, finally landing him one last hit. "ARGHHHHHHH!" Cal screamed as he closed his eyes and Rose fell from his arms. He was just defeated... Arxos had finally managed to defeat the man. "We did it, Jack!" he said with a smile on his face as soon as he looked at Rose and at the defeated Cal. "No, Arxos. You did it." Jack said with a smile on his face... The two friends had finally managed to defeat Cal and were congratulating each other for the win... However, they did not know that something bad was going to happen, soon.
- Chapter 15:
CHAPTER 15
After an epic battle against Cal at the top of the iceburg shaped Heartless which he created, Arxos and Jack finally managed to defeat him and free Rose from his grips. However, while they smiled and congratulated each other for their victory, something bad was about to happen...
Around Cal and Rose darkness appeared. Cal was slowly absorbed by the darkness and Rose started sinking in it. Apparently, she was absorbed by the darkness that was just unleashed around Cal. Cal was continuing causing problems with his darkness, even if he was unable to do anything at all. Soon enough, Cal was sucked by the darkness and disappeared, but Rose was still outside. Jack quickly got off from Arxos and moved towards Rose, who had just opened her eyes. The girl moved her hand on Jack's hand. She smiled to him and she said
"You really kept your promise, huh?"
"Rose!" Jack said as he moved towards her, using much of his remaining strength.
"You really shouldn't have bothered... You see, Jack? I am also taken away... It seems that fate wants me to be with Cal..."
"No, Rose! I told you that I will always be protecting you! I will not let you disappear with that bastard that caused you so much trouble!"
"Jack... I want to tell you one thing..."
"Huh? What is it Rose?" Jack said with tears on his face.
"I... like-No... I love you." she said and she opened her hand, falling inside the darkness that was around her.
"ROSE!" Jack said with tears on his face and he jumped inside the darkness as well in an attempt to save her. Before Arxos could stop him, Jack had fallen into the darkness in a desparate attempt to save his beloved girl. "You have to survive!" Jack said as he fell and reached Rose, grabbing her and using the last bit of his strength to throw her out of the darkness. "Rose! Remember... No matter where you are... You have to know one thing. Our hearts will some day meet... Because... No matter where you are... In order to reach you... My heart will go on and on." were the last words of Rose, before she got out of the darkness. As soon as Rose was sent out of the darkness, the darkness disappeared, having absorbed Cal and Jack along with it.
"Jack!" both Arxos and Rose said with tears on their faces. Seconds afterwards, the iceburg heartless turned to a real iceburg and the ship continued sinking. Rose was standing still at the top of the iceburg and was crying. With a sad look on his face, Arxos turned his back at her. She could not stand seeing her anymore. He felt that he was responsible for what had just happened... Jack had disappeared because of him. He should have saved him... He should have done that immediately. Jack had sunk into the darkness and it was his own mistake.
"I am sorry, Jack..." Arxos said with tears on his face as he opened a corridor of darkness, finally leaving from the place as it looked like the Heartless had disappeared. Although nothing was restored, the Heartless were still gone and Arxos managed to fullfil the wish of his new friend. He had saved Rose from Cal... While going out, many hearts came at him at once from the ship, increasing his strength tremendously once more. All the Heartless were destroyed after Cal was defeated and so they gave their hearts to Arxos. The boy was absorbing more and more hearts...
Meanwhile, in a dark blue room with a symbol that was reminiscent of that of the Heartless...
"Arxos is progressing too well..." the man with the emotionless voice said with a smile on his face.
"Indeed... Xemnas will be quite happy for it. With this keyblade Wielder we can ensure the creation of Kingdom Hearts..." another man with a black hood said.
"Who cares about Terra's Body... That idiot can do whatever he wants... He can stick with that weak Nobody of Sora..."
"Hmph... Sora is not that weak, you know. And Roxas seems to possess great potential."
"If Sora was strong enough, he would not end up sleeping... It's been a while since the incident of Castle Oblivion... And Roxas is way too immature... He's the Nobody of Sora, after all."
"What about Riku? He is also a Keyblade wielder..."
"Hmph... Riku is with DiZ... He's protecting Sora... He cannot be proven to be useful, at least at this point."
"So, I guess we stick with Arxos, huh?"
"Indeed... Soon enough, Arxos will have matured and he will be overtaken by the darkness... And my plan shall be completed!" the man said...
He was up to no good... What was he plotting? What are his goals?
- Chapter 16:
CHAPTER 16
Wondering inside the corridors of Darkness, Arxos was thinking. Apparently, the young boy was thinking of Jack... His friend had been lost after the epic battle against Cal and his heart was aching about that. He could not forget the image of Jack allowing himself to drop into the darkness in an attempt to save Rose... If Arxos hadn't gone to that world, even if he would not meet Jack, the man would not make the ultimate sacrifice. If Arxos hadn't gone to that world, the Heartless would reach it later and so Jack wouldn't have that fate. However, as he thought all of those things, something came inside his mind... It was a very big question... As there were no Heartless at the world before Arxos came, how could Cal summon them? That was a true mystery... Although the young boy had the feeling that something wrong was going on, he decided to not search deeply for the answer and instead he used the corridors of darkness to get into a new world... He raised his hand and opened a gate of darkness and stepped through it, finally moving to another world...
"Pikachu! Use Thunderbolt!" were the first words that Arxos listened as soon as he got to the new place. This place was different... It was not like the other places... It was full of trees and it looked like there were many roads which he could take. This place looked like a very big world. It was a very interesting area... On the trees, there were some strange berries. It was a marvelous place and it was full of wonderful things. Even though there were so many nice things around, Arxos did not get the chance to take a look at them. Before he examined the place, he heard the sparks of electricity after a boy spoke some words and he started walking towards the area the sound came from... He carefully walked towards the place and then he watched at the thing that was going on amazed.
"Wow! Amazing!" Arxos said with an amazed face. Right in front of him, there was a boy with a hat. On the hat there was the symbol of a strange ball. The boy wore a black jacket with short white sleeves. At the middle of the shirt, there was a wide yellow stripe. He also wore a pair of jeans and he had shoes that beared the colors of black, red and white. But, in fact, it was not the boy that impressed Arxos. The young boy was actually impressed by the creature that was standing in front of him. A small, yellow rat with red cheeks was in front of him and it was creating electricity, attacking another strange creature that looked a lot like a battery. "What is that thing?" he asked.
"That thing? Hey, what do you mean?" the boy who was commanding the yellow rat, said. "That's my pal!"
"Your... pal! It's the first time I am seeing a creature like this..."
"Huh? Where do you come from? That's a Pikachu! No... In fact, he's Pikachu!"
"Pikachu? What is a Pikachu?"
"Wow... Are you from another world? That's strange..."
"Well, you somehow got that..."
"Whatever... Pikachu is a pokemon..."
"A pokemon? What is a pokemon?"
"Oh man..." the boy said with a disappointed look on his face. However, before he could explain everything a net appeared and caught Pikachu. The net was pulled with a rope towards a specific direction and a giant hot air balloon with the face of a cat appeared out of nowhere, surprising Arxos. On the balloon there were two people, one man and one woman, as well as a cat.
"Listen, is that a voice I hear?" a woman with very long red hair said.
"It's speaking to me loud and clear!" a man with medium length blue hair responded.
"Melting on the wind!" the woman said again...
"Past the stars!" the man completed.
"And in ya' ear!" the cat jumped and said.
"Bringing chaos at a break neck pace..." the woman spoke.
"Dashing hope, bring fear in it's place..." the man completed.
"A rose by any other name is just as sweet!" she spoke once again.
"When everything is worse, our work is complete!" the man completed her, again, as well.
"Jessie!" she said.
"And it's James!" the man introduced himself.
"And Meowth, now dat's a name!" the cat talked again.
"Putting the do-gooders in their place..." The woman said.
"... Team Rocket..." the man said.
"In ya' face!" Meowth completed.
"Wooobuffet!" a blue, blobby creature came out of the woman's pockets and spoke.
"Mime! Mime!" a small creature that looked a lot like a clown completed.
"Team Rocket!" the boy, whose "Pokemon" was taken said. "Give me back Pikachu!" he yelled.
"AS IF, you twerp!" Jessie said with a smile on her face, as she pulled the net in which Pikachu was trapped.
"Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!" the boy said and Pikachu tried to create electricity. However, the two evil people laughed and said
"It's electric proof... Haha!"
"Hmph... You look like bad guys..." Arxos interrupted them and he started running towards Pikachu's direction.
"Huh? What are you doing, twerp? Come out, Dustox!" the woman said and she threw a pokeball, calling a strange bug that was flying and looked quite dangerous. It had creepy eyes and a purple skin, as well as small hands to grab things. "Use Silver Wind!" she commanded her pokemon, and so it did, attacking the keyblade wielder. However, Arxos moved the keyblade in front of him and blocked the attack, before jumping high, reeaching the hot air balloon and slashing it with the keyblade. As soon as he slashed it, the hot air balloon was destroyed and it was repeled away. The net with Pikachu fell down, on Ash's hands while Team Rocket was blast off away.
"Damn it!" all of them said at once. "We are blasting off again!!!" they said and they disappeared.
Arxos had just saved the day... However, there were so many questions that remained. Where was he and most importantly... What were those pokemon, after all?
- Chapter 17:
CHAPTER 17
"Who are you, anyway?" asked Arxos with a curious look on his face. After all, the sudden appearance of that weird team caleld "Team Rocket", prevented the boy he was speaking with from telling him his name.
"Oh yes... I am Ash. Ash Ketchum! I am going to be a Pokemon Master!" said Ash, while smiling and looking at the sky.
"A Pokemon Master?" mumbled Arxos.
"You really come from another world... You carry that weird weapon, you don't know what pokemon are... Who are you, anyway?" asked Ash, using exactly the same question that Arxos used.
"Oh... I am Arxos... I am just a traveler and a keyblade weilder." explained Arxos.
"I can understand your name... The rest I'm afraid I can't understand it." smiled Ash and messed with his hair out of awkwardness.
"It doesn't matter..." said Arxos. "By the way, have you seen any weird monsters around?" questioned Arxos.
"I already told you... They are called pokemon! They are not monsters."
"Yeah, right... Have you seen any weird pokemon around?" asked Arxos.
"I see! You are seeking for legendary pokemon!" commented Ash.
"No, no... I am searching for Heartless!"
"Heartless? What kind of pokemon is that?" asked Ash.
"It's a creature made out of darkness, it's not..." Arxos tried to explain, but before he could do so, Ash spoke.
"I see! It's a dark type pokemon!" were the words of Ash.
"Whatever, yes they are dark type pokemon!" said Arxos, obviously angry because of the fact that Ash couldn't understand anything at all.
"By the way, how does that Heartless look like?" asked Ash.
"They have different forms... The most common form is that of an oversized ant with yellow eyes."
"Then, you are lucky... There are a few right behind us." said Ash, his face calm as he spoke.
"AND YOU ARE HERE?! GO AWAY!!!" said Arxos, obviously worried about Ash.
"Don't worry..." said Ash. "Pikachu! Use Thunderbolt!" he commanded Pikachu and Pikachu jumped off his shoulder, where he had moved before, and launched bolts of electricity, striking all the Heartless who happened to be around. The Heartless were all fried by the Thunderbolt and vanished, surprising both Ash and Arxos for two different reasons. The first one was surprised because the "pokemon" vanished into the darkness, while Arxos was surprised due to the fact that Pikachu managed to defeat the Heartless easily. That thing... It was quite strong, indeed!
Meanwhile, at the spot team Rocket had been blasted off... Jesse and James are talking to a man who seems to be their boss. In order to do so, they are standing on a telephone station, calling their boss.
"Sir... We failed once again." said Jesse disappointed.
"I'm sorry, boss." completed James.
"Hmph... I have nothing to say... I've told you thousands of times that I DON'T NEED A PIKACHU! I AM SEARCHING FOR LEGENDARIES, NOT PIKACHU!" yelled Giovanni at his two subordinates, whose faces turned to red out of their shame and fear at the face of their boss. "Listen, fools... Stop trying to steal that Pikachu from that boy... I have a better mission for you."
"Hm? What is it, sir?" asked Jesse.
"Listen... Coincidentally, you are at the place where an operation of Team Rocket is about to take place, soon. There are rumors that a legendary pokemon is lurking around your area and I have sent soldiers already. I will also be arriving soon. I want you to track down that pokemon..."
"That's easy!" interfered Meowth before Giovanni turned off the phone.
"Meowth! What did you just say?! It's not that easy!" said James.
"But, I had to calm him down..."
"Now, what will we do, you idiot?" asked Jesse.
"I have an answer to your question, miss." a voice was heard from behind and a hooded man appeared. The hooded man was similar to the one that Arxos used to speak with, who spoke with an emotionless voice, in terms of appearance, but his voice was different. Also, the way he moved his hands was also different. He would move his hands around, making many more different gestures.
"Who are you, twerp?" asked Jesse.
"My name does not matter to you, I am afraid." the man spoke with a calm voice. "My abilities matter more."
"Hm?" James was surprised.
"With my powers, I can help you have that Pikachu for yourselves and track down that legendary pokemon in the blink of an eye. Don't you want that?" said the man.
"Of course we do!" said James, smiling. "But what do you want in exchange?" he asked.
"I've heard that you have a nice collection of bottle taps. You could give me some." the man expressed his demands.
"No! I've been collecting them for a long time!" said James.
"It doesn't matter... I can help you for free. I am in a good mood, today." said the man before moving in front of the three members of Team Rocket, touching them. Upon touching them, their appearance significantly changed. Jesse's and James' clothes turned to black, while Meowth's skin colors changed as well (making him look like a shiny Meowth).
"Wow... This power... I feel like I can bring down a legendary by myself!" said Jesse, obviously happy for her recently acquired powers.
"You are right, indeed, but why would you waste your powers on bringing down others rather than creating an army of darkness enhanced pokemon that can help you with your plans?" asked the man.
"He is right..." said Meowth. "With this power, not only we can take down Pikachu and the legendary pokemon, but we can also take down Team Rocket and become the absolute leaders! We can create an army of darkness pokemon and destroy everything!" he completed.
"That's the spirit..." said the hooded man before vanishing, leaving only a circle of darkness at the place where he stood, that gradually closed and vanished, as well.
Team Rocket had new found powers! How would they use them?!
- Chapter 18:
CHAPTER 18
"Pikachu really is awesome!" said Arxos, while looking at Pikachu.
"Pika, pi!" smiled Pikachu.
"Thanks." said Ash.
"Hm... I wonder... Can I get a pokemon, as well?" asked Arxos.
"Well, in order to get one, you have to use a pokeball to catch it.
"And how is that done?"
"I will show you..." said Ash and then he turned his head, noticing a passing Nincada. "Look." said Ash. "Pikachu, use Iron Tail!" he commanded his pokemon and Pikachu run at Nincada, performing an Iron Tail attack, defeating it. Then, Ash would grab a pokeball, throwing at at the bug and ground type pokemon. The ball would shake for a while but the pokemon was eventually caught.
"I see..." said Arxos, while smiling.
"You can have Nincada." said Ash, while handing the pokeball to Arxos.
"Thanks!" said Arxos.
"And how do I..." spoke Arxos, but before he completed his sentence, the ground started shaking violently, making him lose his balance.
"Huh?! An earthquake?" wondered Ash.
"Ash... Is that natural to your world! I mean, how often do earthquakes take place?"
"Unless they are caused by pokemon, they occur never to rarely."
"That means that something bad is going on..." said Arxos while running towards the place where he felt the earthquake was coming from.
"Wait for me!" said Ash, following him.
Eventually, the two of them reached a cave. Outside the cave, there was Team Rocket. All their pokemon were outside, all of them with different colors. However, there was also another pokemon with them... The pokemon was a light blue colored creature, big in terms of size with weird hands legs and eyes. Its eyes looked more like symbols rather than real eyes and it mostly looked like an iceberg.
"Can you feel them?" asked James.
"Yes. The twerps." replied Jesse.
"I will deal with the twerps... You will deal with Regice." said James.
"Right." Jesse agreed and James turned his head, looking at the two young boys with a serious look on his face. Then, he opened the palm of his right hand and the three of them and Pikachu were surrounded by darkness momentarily before reappearing to another place.
The place was very different than the woods they used to be before. It was a lonely island with weird trees around them. There was a large beach whose sand was quite soft. The trees looked more like exotic trees and there was a hut around. There were also bridges hanging around the island's tall cliffs, connecting the high places together. However, the most notable thing about the island was the sea... The sea that made Arxos wonder what could he possibly find if he decided to follow the sea path to search the whole world around the island. This place for some reason was making him think a lot and awakened feelings he never had before.
"This place... It reminds me of something..." commented Arxos while looking around.
"Huh? It does?" asked James, surprised. "I just used the power of darkness to move us to a random place... But why would this place remind you of anything?" he wondered. "Anyway, it doesn't matter as you are going down!!!" he said, laughing. Then, he grabbed one of his pokeballs. His pokeball did not look like an ordinary pokeball. Envelopped with the power of darkness, the pokeball had taken a pitch black color at the upper part and a dark grey color at the bottom part. At the pitch black part of the pokeball there was the Heartless symbol. "Go Shadow!!!" said James, while throwing the pokeball, revealing a Heartless.
"Go Pikachu!!!" said Ash and Pikachu moved forward.
"Wait! I can feel it... This is a strong Heartless!" commented Arxos. "I have to use the keyblade to deal with this."
"You want to battle, huh? So be it!" said James while throwing several more "heartless" pokeballs, summoning several Shadows which surrounded Pikachu.
"Pikachu! Use Thunderbolt!" commanded Ash and Pikachu did so, but the heartless would enter the ground, dodging the attack. "Huh?" he was surprised.
The Heartless would get up and would attack Pikachu with headbutt attacks, damaging the pokemon. Pikachu was in a pinch.
"I have to interfere!" spoke Arxos, who jumped right next to Pikachu and summoned his keyblade, attacking the Shadows, defeating them one after another. Like a master swordsman, he would move his keyblade accordingly, blocking the attacks of the Shadows at the injured pokemon and he would counter attack with swift and powerful slashes.
"It looks like we've got a strong twerp over here!" were the words of James. "I guess I have to use my special Heartless!" he smiled while grabbing another pokeball. "Go!" he threw the pokeball, revealing a heartless that looked like the Shadows but it was around twenty times bigger in terms of size, making it look several times bigger than Arxos.
"What... is... that?" Ash was shocked at the view of the powerful heartless.
"I don't know... This is gonna be tough." said Arxos, his eyes twitched while he was speaking.
"Attack with Darkness!" commanded James and the heartless launched a powerful darkness attack which Arxos blocked with a swift swing of the keyblade, deflecting it away.
"If I defeat this Heartless... I will get quite stronger!" thought the keyblade weilder.
"We are going to help you, Arxos!" said Ash, appearing right next to him.
"Ash? What are you doing?! Step back! This is dangerous!"
"I don't know what you think... But if I don't stop Team Rocket now that they are planning their most dangerous plan, I will definitely not be worthy to become a Pokemon Master!"
"Pika, pi!" Pikachu got up and stood on Ash's shoulder, prepared for the battle.
"Team Rocket... Here we come!" Ash pointed at James and the giant Heartless. The battle was about to start!
- Chapter 19:
CHAPTER 19
"Go with Thunderbolt!" commanded the trainer his pokemon and Pikachu rushed at the giant Heartless, using a powerful electric type attack that barely even scratched the heartless.
"Do you see, twerp? Even Pikachu is weak against my Shadow!" commented James.
"Pikachu might be unable to harm it, but I can! Thunder!" were the words of Arxos, who raised his keyblade. Upon raising his keyblade, darkness surrounded the weapon. Apparently, he was using the power of darkness in order to boost the power of his thunder. A big sized shadow colored spark fell from the sky, striking the giant heartless and causing it enough damage to start screeching, much to everyone's surprise.
"Huh? Shadow was hit? Anyway... Shadow, use Darkness Vines!" ordered James and the heartless sprouted some vines which moved towards Pikachu and Arxos in an attempt to grab them and squeeze them. On the one hand, Arxos would swing his keyblade in order to cut down the vines and block the attack. However, Pikachu was grabbed by the heartless and would be squizzed, much to Ash's dismay.
"NO!!!" yelled the trainer, obviously worrying about his best friend.
"Don't worry, Ash, I will free him!" said the weilder of the keyblade who used the powers of darkness once more. Darkness surrounded his body and he vanished, before a small ball of darkness appeared right next to the grabbed Pikachu. A black steam was formed around the ball and Arxos' body materialized, holding the keyblade on his hands. "HAAAAAAA!!!" he moved the keyblade, striking the vine, freeing Pikachu.
"Thanks!" thanked Ash the user of the keyblade. "Now, Pikachu go with another Thunderbolt!" he ordered and Pikachu used Thunderbolt once more, barely scratching the heartless once again.
"It's not working!!!" said Arxos.
"Of course it isn't, twerp... My Shadow's special ability is Infinite Guard! It is immune to pokemon attacks. Normally, this attack would defeat my Shadow, but it has been modified to be able to resist your Pikachu." said James, smiling evily while speaking.
"I see... Then, I have a plan." said Arxos. "Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!" he ordered the electric type rat, even if he wasn't his trainer.
"Pika, pi!" agreed Pikachu.
"Hm? What do you have in your mind?" wondered Ash.
"You will see!"
"What you are doing is not going to work. Darkness Smash!" said James and the heartless jumped in front of Arxos, attempting to smash him with a headbutt attack. However, Arxos would make himself out of the attack's range, rolling his body away.
"Go! Keep using Thunderbolt!" he continued speaking to Pikachu and Pikachu kept doing so.
"Hm? What do you not understand?!" asked James, as he couldn't see what the "twerps" had in their minds.
"THUNDER!!!" yelled Arxos as he launched a combination of his thunder attack with his own darkness. The attack struck the heartless at the same spot which Pikachu was hitting.
"KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!" screeched the Heartless once more, before fading away. A giant heart was formed, moving inside Arxos' body.
"Huh? Impossible! How?!" asked James.
"You said it yourself... Pikachu could defeat the heartless..." explained Arxos. "It was just it's ability that prevented him from doing so."
"I see! And you used your Thunder to bypass that guard!" said Ash.
"Exactly!" nodded Arxos.
"And now, to finish things off..." Arxos rushed at James, slashing him with the keyblade, making him fall on the ground. Then, they all went back to the place where they originally were, much to Arxos surprise.
"It was just an illusion, after all..." he commented, and stared at Jessie and Meowth, who were now the two standing members of Team Rocket. "But why was the illusion composed of this islands?"
"Twerp... You think you won, but you haven't! We already captured Regice! It has been turned into a Heartless!"
"Huh?! You got the Regice?!" said Ash, ultimately surprised.
"Of course, we did... With Regice by our side, not even Pikachu can harm us! We are going to be the strongest! And Regice's captivity is the beginning of every legendary's captivity! Regirock... Registeel... Latios... Latias... Ho-oh... Lugia... and of course... Darkrai! We shall gather those legendaries and the world will belong to us!" said Jessie, her eyes twitched as she spoke.
"You... You are not like the people I used to know!" said Ash, frightened.
"It's the darkness, Ash. The darkness. They have been consumed by the darkness and they turned to this." explained Arxos. "But if we defeat them, there's a small chance they will turn to normal."
"Huh? And what is the big chance?" asked Ash.
"With their heart fully consumed, the most probable thing is that they will lose their heart and be absorbed by either him or... Kingdom Hearts." the emotionless voice of the mysterious hooded man was heard and Ash and Arxos turned their heads, looking at him.
"You!" said Arxos.
"Huh? Who are you talking to?" asked Jessie. It was obvious that she wasn't capable of seeing the mysterious man.
"I am only visible to those I want... And I want to see the three heroes of light, fighting the darkness." explained the man.
"Three heroes? Me, Arxos and Pikachu, huh?" said Ash, confused.
"Mufufufufufu..." the man didn't respond. "Keep battling." he suggested before vanishing and reappearing somewhere away, from where he could still watch the battle.
"Let's focus on the battle, Ash!" said Arxos and turned his head at Jessie, pointing with his keyblade.
"You are right." said Ash and ordered Pikachu to move forward. The battle against Jessie, Meowth, their pokemon and of course Regice was about to begin!
- Chapter 20:
CHAPTER 20
"What do you think you can do? Regice is infused with the power of darkness... Even if you manage to strike it, its defenses are so great that not even Pikachu can do anything against it! You are doomed! Hahahahahahahahaha!!!" laughed Jessie as she grabbed her pokeball and threw it on the ground. "Seviper! Come out!" she commanded and her pokemon came out. However, her pokemon did not really look like a pokemon. Even Arxos who had no idea about pokemon could realize that it was a heartless. The heartless was a big sized snake with a dark colored body with red stripes. The eyes were yellow, much like those of the shadows and it looked quite strong.
"Shit... More of them!!!" said Arxos, worried about the fact that he had to deal with more pokemon.
"Seviper, use Darkness Toxic!!!" commanded Jessie and her pokemon launched a poisonous substance that was made of darkness, which moved towards the direction of Arxos, Ash and Pikachu with great speeds.
"Pikachu, avoid it with Quick Attack!" were the words of Pikachu's trainer and Pikachu immediately obeyed, avoiding the fatal attack.
"Damn it, this is much more dangerous than the giant heartless we defeated." pointed out Arxos.
"Of course it is! Right after Regice, Seviper is our strongest pokemon!" said James with a twisted look on his eyes, right after waking up.
"Nya, Regice attack them as well!" Meowth's voice was heard as the cat pokemon stood above the heartless of Regice and gave a command. He was ordering the iceberg pokemon to strike the enemies. "Use Darkness Ice Beam!!!" he pointed at the fighters of the light and a beam of darkness was launched towards them. However, as the company was focusing more on dealing with Seviper, they could not see this coming. As a result, they were all gradually getting frozen.
"Shit! The darkness is freezing us!" worried Arxos.
"They... They really got strong..." were the words of Ash, who could not believe in what was going on.
"What do you think, twerps? Aren't we the strongest now?" asked Jessie, a grin on her face and her eyes shining while she was speaking.
"How pathetic! Chimchar, use Flame Wheel! Elekid go with Thunderpunch!!!" another boy's voice was heard and two other pokemon appeared. The first was an orange colored small sized chimp while the second one looked like a yellow colored battery with arms and feet.
"Paul?!" Ash was surprised as the chimp's Flame Wheel attack was capable of burning the darkness ice that was covering Ash, Arxos and Pikachu.
"Who are you?" asked Arxos the boy. The boy had purple colored hair, a very serious look on his face - unlike Ash's - and a quite strict voice. He wore a blue colored jacket, gray colored pants and blue colored sport shoes.
"Paul's the name... But we do not have time for introductions! We have to deal with these people, first!" he spoke while glaring at Team Rocket with an angry look on his face.
"Why are you helping us?" asked Ash.
"Regice is a strong pokemon... If I get it, I will definitely become the winner of the Sinnoh League."
"You are still thinking of yourself, aren't you?" asked Ash.
"Hmph." Paul did not even bother to reply and looked at Team Rocket.
"So... There are three of you and three of us..." said Jessie. "I guess we could play a game!"
"Huh? A game?" asked Ash.
"Yes, twerp. Let's see if you can win the... Darkness Badge!" said Jessie and she created darkness out of her hands, changing the enviornment much like James did before. This time, the company and the enemies were in a stadium, probably a stadium in which people battled against each other. At the one side, there was Team Rocket while on the other side there was Ash, Paul and Arxos.
"I see... You want a Gym Battle, huh?" asked Paul.
"Indeed... Team Rocket likes doing things fair and square... Now listen. The rules are simple. Each one of us may use as many pokemon as they like, but they have to use at least one pokemon. The second rule is to defeat all of us in a battle in order to win. And the third rule is that one of you should face one of us. Are the rules acceptable?" asked James.
"No... We don't have a referee..." commented Ash.
"I may be your referee." a mysterious hooded man appeared.
"You!!!" said Meowth. "With you, we can definitely win!"
"Stop talking, cat." spoke the man. However, he did not have an emotionless voice. He was not the man that was speaking with Arxos through his journey.
"Hm... Who is he?" wondered Arxos. "Is he affiliated with that weird guy?"
"I will be your referee. You may start your battle." he spoke and the battle would now start! Who would face against who? Find out next time!

CHAPTER 21
"I will be the first one..." said James and he jumped inside the ring. "Come out, Heartless!!!" he yelled and many shadows appeared, much like before.
"They are way too many! I can't deal with them! I will deal with Jessie and her Seviper" said Ash.
"I would prefer to focus more on the final battle, as I have the keyblade." said Arxos.
"Hmph. I will take them on, I guess." were the words of Paul. "Chimchar, come out!" he said and he called out the fire chimp so that it would battle against the shadows.
"Your Chimchar is about to be consumed by the darkness! Haven't we informed you? If a pokemon loses the battle in the Darkness Gym, it is turned into a heartless!" commented Meowth with an evil face.
"I don't care... If Chimchar cannot defeat those ants, then he is not even worthy of being my pokemon... And I do not care for pokemon that do not belong to me." spoke Paul.
"You are as cold-hearted as you always used to be!" said Ash.
"I have no time for your blabbering. Let me focus on my battle."
"Fine..." agreed Ash.
"Begin..." said the referee and the battle finally started.
"Chimchar! Strike with Flame Wheel!" ordered Paul and Chimchar started spinning around himself, making a wheel of fire appear around his body. Then, he moved with great speeds towards one of the many heartless who were around, ultimately burning it down.
"That's awesome! Chimchar is strong!" said Arxos, clearly amazed.
"Now, use Flamethrower!" commanded Paul and Chimchar stopped his wheel attack only to launch a flamethrower attack from his mouth. The flamethrower attack stroke many of the shadows, defeating them one after another.
"That chimp is strong! But let's see what he can do! More Heartless!" said James and more heartless came out, prepared to attack Chimchar. The heartless rushed at the pokemon, striking it either with headbutt attacks or with a darkness vine attack, an attack that was basically the heartless, extending its small darkness arms to slap the pokemon. Chimchar was trying to dodge, but dodging all those heartless was actually impossible. Despite the fact that it moved with great speeds to avoid the attacks, it got eventually struck and fell on the ground, quite beaten.
"Chimchar is about to lose..." worried Ash.
"We got to do something!" said Arxos. "I could lend Chimchar some darkness power, but I have no absolute control over the power of Darkness so I don't want to try doing that."
"Chimchar... Get up. Use your Blaze!" asked Paul.
"Char..." the pokemon was lying on the ground, rolling out of the pain.
"Come on, Chimchar! You got to get up! If you lose, you will become like them!" said Ash, trying to encourage Chimchar to fight.
"Char... Char... CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR!!!" the words of Ash shook Chimchar and the pokemon got up. His eyes were burning and a great fire erupted from its whole body, surrounding it and making Chimchar look much, much stronger.
"What is that?!" Team Rocket was shocked.
"Yes... What is that power?" wondered Arxos.
"It's Chimchar's Blaze... His fire power is greatly increased, now!" said the trainer, slightly smiling while pointing towards all the Heartless.
"CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR!!!" Chimchar waited for a command.
"Use flamethrower!!!" said Paul and Chimchar performed a massive flamethrower attack, frying all the Shadow heartless. Paul had just won the battle!
"James has run out of pokemon. The winner is Paul." said the referee. "Shame on you James." he spoke again and darkness appeared all around the member of Team Rocket, surrounding him.
"What? Are you giving me more power, sir?" asked James.
"No... I am taking your heart... You wasted all the darkness I gave you without winning anything and now there is a prize. Your heart shall belong to me from now on." said the man and James' heart moved outside his chest, moving at the referee's hand. Then, the heart vanished and James' body faded away...
"JAMES!!!" both Jessie and Meowth were shocked. "You!!! You manipulated us!" they complained to the mysterious man.
"Exactly. I did." laughed the man. "And I suggest you to not be foolish enough to attack me. If you do so, you will waste your darkness energy without winning any hearts and that will cost you your hearts, as well. If you are lucky enough to gather hearts before you waste your darkness, you survive. If you are not, I am lucky enough to get your hearts. In both occassions, I am given hearts. That's luck. It eventually serves the one who comes up with the game and those who play need it to survive..." said the man as he took off his hood, revealing his face. He was a man with short, yellow colored hair and yellow eyes. On his ears, he wore two shaped earrings and he had the tattoo of a heart on his forehead.
"You... You tricked us!!!" said Meowth, as he could still not believe in what just happened.
"Listen... I really did trick you... But if you manage to defeat those three and give me hearts, I may think about handing you the heart of your friend back. It depends on your luck."
"And if we lose?"
"I believe there is no need for me to answer that..."
"Fine. Jessie! It's your turn. Teach those twerps a lesson so that we can get James back!" suggested Meowth.
"Right." Jessie stepped forward.
"It's my turn, isn't it?" asked Ash.
"Yes, it is." said Arxos and Paul nodded.
"Great." the young trainer moved forward. "Go, Pikachu!" he commanded and Pikachu moved forward, prepared to battle against Jessie's chosen pokemon.
"Seviper! Go!" she summoned her Seviper.
Pikachu would face Seviper! Who would win?!
- Chapter 22:
Chapter 22
"Jessie... We got to win. If we don't, not only we won't save James, but we will share his fate, as well." whispered Meowth, obviously worried.
"I will try my best, Meowth... I really will." said Jessie.
"Start the battle!" said the mysterious man who served as the referee and was behind all the events that were going on.
"Seviper, use Sludge Bomb!!!" said Jessie and the viper pokemon launched a poisonous wave against Pikachu.
"Dodge with Quick Attack!" ordered Ash and Pikachu started running faster and faster, avoiding the incoming attack. Then, he struck Seviper, sending him on a wall.
"That was quick, you should be more careful, Seviper!" complained Jessie and procceed to give her next command. "Now, use Swords Dance!" she said and Seviper started moving weirdly.
"That is not good, Ash... Seviper is stronger than before." said Paul.
"I know. I will try my best to protect Pikachu." were Ash's words as he gulped and looked at the battle with agony.
"Seviper! Now, go with Poison Fang!" were Jessie's words and Seviper jumped at Pikachu, trying to bite him. However, Pikachu moved out of the way and Seviper only bit the air, much to the company's happiness.
"Pikachu! Go with Thunderbolt!!!" said Ash and Pikachu attacked Seviper, only for it to not feel any damage. Apparently, it looked like the darkness was protecting him, much like it did with James' giant heartless.
"That's not good..." said Paul. "They used their powers to create a defense for your pokemon's attacks."
"I know... I'll think of something."
"Seviper, use Poison Fang again!" ordered Jessie and this time the viper reached the electric mouse, striking it with its powerful teeth.
"PIKAAAAAAAAA!!!" the pokemon screamed in pain, unable to ignore the damage that was being dealt at all.
"What shall we do now?!" asked Ash and Arxos immediately summoned his keyblade, using a Thunder attack on Pikachu to electrically charge him.
"I used Thunder to charge Pikachu. His electric attacks may damage Seviper for a while. After all, my thunder bypasses that guard." explained Arxos.
"Great idea, Arxos!" said Ash and he turned his cap at the opposite direction, being serious about the battle. "Pikachu, use Volt Tackle!"
"What?! This is not a great idea, Ash! Pikachu is already damaged!" complained Paul.
"It's now or never... I will bet on my luck!" said the young trainer and Pikachu started running immediately. While running he was getting more and more charged and he eventually struck the heartless snake, sending it flying on the air and damaging it critically. "Now! Use all your strength to perform a Thunderbolt!!!" said Ash and Pikachu used the last remaining of his strength to launch a powerful bolt of electricity that hit Seviper and made it fall on the ground, defeated. Seviper's darkness coating faded away and Jessie fell on her knees, obviously defeated.
"Jessie! NO!!!!!!!!" said Meowth, worried about his friend. "Don't go, too!"
"I need a heart... And luck has decided that it will be hers." said the mysterious man with the blond hair and the heart tattooon his forehead.
"WOOOOOOOOBUFFET!!!" Wobuffet came out of his pokeball and hugged Jessie.
"Wobuffet? What are you doing? You don't say..." asked Jessie, as she was about to fade away. While speaking, memories of her meeting with Wobuffet were coming inside her mind and many other experiences they had together. She remembered the very first time she met him, when she accidentally traded her Lickutung for him. She remembered the times she used him in battle against the twerps... She remembered the times that they got dressed together to deal with the twerps... She remembered all those times they blasted off together. Wobuffet was a powerful pokemon and her favorite pokemon. She was a part of her heart, much like James and Meowth were.
"Wooooooobuffet." spoke Wobuffet quietly and tears fell from his eyes as his heart was getting outside his body, moving to the mysterious man. Wobuffet sacrificed himself for his trainer.
"NO! WOBUFFET!!!" screamed Jessie in agony for her pokemon, as he faded away, into the darkness. She had just lost another precious friend.
"It seems that they are not that bad, after all, huh?" commented Ash, upon seeing Wobuffet's sacrifice.
"No... They are not that bad... At least they are not bad enough to have their pokemon love them." commented Ash and took a deep breath, also shaken with Wobuffet's sacrifice.
"They are just stupid." said Paul, emotionless as usual.
"You two... I have another suggestion." said the mysterious man.
"Huh? Another one?" asked Meowth, as he was the only one who could actually speak, being safe and sound.
"Yes. If you win and give me the hearts of those kids and their pokemon, I will free all of them. But if you lose, I will take the hearts from all of you, including your pokemon. What do you say?"
"In this situation we are, I guess we have no other choice... Nya... I agree." said Meowth as he stepped inside the stadium, along with the darkness Regice.
"Twerp, this time you are battling against me!" told Meowth to Arxos and pointed at him with his cat-claws. The final battle against Team Rocket was about to start! "NYA! GO REGICE!".
- Chapter 23:
CHAPTER 23
"Nya! Let's start our battle!" were the words of Meowth and Regice stepped forward in the ring, prepared to battle. After all, the legendary iceberg pokemon was under the control of Team Rocket and Meowth commanded it completely.
"Of course we will..." said Arxos but then his eyes twitched as he realized that he did not really know anything about pokemon battles. He also lacked any pokemon so things were difficult. However, while he was thinking, Ash patted him on the back and handed him a pokeball.
"Here, Arxos. This is the Nincada I caught for you. I am pretty sure you will be great with him!" said the trainer, trying to make Arxos more confident regarding his battle.
"Thanks for the kind words, Ash, but things are going to be tough..." exclaimed Arxos as he threw the pokeball, summoning Nincada in the battlefield.
"Huh? A Nincada? Why? Nya!" Meowth was surprised to see that Arxos would battle with a Nincada.
"He's a strong one, don't judge by the looks!"
"Yeah, right, twerp... Regice, start with Darkness Ice Beam!" commanded Meowth and Regice launched a powerful beam of ice towards Nincada in order to instantly defeat it.
"Dodge!" said Arxos and Nincada moved out of the way. "Like this, you won't be able to win... But, if I give you some of my darkness, you will be stronger, don't you agree?" he said and he moved his hand, pointing with his palm at the pokemon. Then, the pokemon was surrounded with darkness and was eventually coated with a darkness armor all around its body, with the eyes turning to yellow as if Nincada was a Shadow heartless.
"Huh? What did you just do?!" said Ash, surprised.
"They are not the only ones who can use the darkness..." said Arxos. "Okay, Nincada! Scratch it!" said Arxos and the trainee pokemon would move quickly towards the direction of the slow iceberg, scratching it at the main body.
"A scratch cannot do a thing! Especially with Regice's defenses! Now, Regice, use Thunderbolt!" ordered Meowth and Regice launched a bolt of electricity, which did not really do anything to Nincada thanks to his ground type.
"Pathetic." said Paul, while looking at the battle.
"Why did it not work?" Arxos was surprised as well.
"Nincada belongs to the ground type... He is not affected by electric type moves. That is obvious." explained Paul.
"I see..." said Arxos and he started thinking. However, while he was thinking, he spoke to his pokemon "Move behind it and scratch it again!".
Nincada nodded. The pokemon would blend with the ground and move behind Regice like a shadow heartless, as if he was a part of the ground. Then, his body took a solid form once again and Nincada performed a powerful scratch on the ice type pokemon's back, causing it some more damage.
"Good job, Arxos!" said Ash, while looking at the battle.
"Meowth... Remember what is going to happen if you lose." the mysterious man commented.
"I remember! Nya! Stop talking! Regice... Use... Use Explosion!"
"What?!" both Paul and Ash were shocked.
"Huh? What is that?" asked Arxos.
"Arxos! You got to cover Nincada quickly! If he gets hit, he will probably end up losing the battle!"
"No, he won't! Blend with the groun-" Arxos spoke but before he completed his sentence, the explosion already started occurring. Along with the explosion, a powerful wave of darkness was sent all across the stadium and Nincada was covered by the darkness, making it impossible for Arxos, Ash and Paul to watch what was going on. The three of them would look with agony at the stadium, hoping that the darkness would slowly disappear so that they could see what had just happened. "Nincada! NO!" Arxos yelled, hoping that his pokemon was alright.
And by the time the wave of darkness was cleared out, the view at the stadium was something really unexpected. While Regice was lying on the floor, completely defeated because of its explosion attack, Nincada was safe and sound, without a scratch on his darkness coated body.
"What?!" said a shocked Meowth.
"What just happened?" wondered Ash.
"I will explain..." spoke the mysterious man. "You see, Meowth was unlucky. Apparently, Nincada knew the move Protect and protected itself from the explosion. He has won the battle and Team Rocket has lost. Now, for the price..."
"Meowth!" said Jessie, slightly snapping out of her silence and misery over Wobuffet's and James' sudden losses.
"Jessie, it's not my fault... And this... This is not over yet!" he spoke.
"But, you lost... The rules say you lost. Your hearts have to come to me right now." said the mysterious man.
"No... I still have some darkness left and don't forget I am a pokemon! I can still fight! Nya!"
"And what will you do, Meowth?" asked Ash.
"Huh? You are pathetic, what can you do?" Paul also asked.
"You will find out right now, twerps! Fusion!" spoke Meowth as a darkness aura surrounded his body and he started moving towards Regice. Then, the darkness would slowly absorb the legendary pokemon of the ice type, merging with Meowth who would take a very different form. Meowth had the height of Regice but his characteristics were slim, much like they were in his original form. His body was completely dark and he had yellow eyes, just like any heartless. Darkness vines had been sprouted on his back and his tail was longer than before, probably in a way that he could use it in combat.
"Twerps... Come." he spoke with a deep voice, a voice that made it clear that his darkness had completely taken control of him.
"That was smart... Maybe he can be lucky enough." commented the mysterious man.
"What the..." said Arxos.
"That is beyond the levels of a legendary pokemon!" said Ash, his eyes twitched as he spoke.
"Pathetic. Again." said Paul and then the three of them stood together, prepared to face the enemy.
The last battle against Team Rocket was about to start!
