Serious: Free Pirates Ch 1-To find the family of New Earth

((Sorry for not posting sooner))

Ray was still lying there flat on the ground, now he had turned over on his back facing the ceiling as he heard Rosco speaking about being a captain of his own crew. Ray was still barely able to think straight, he just lied there for a while then slowly begun to lift himself up rubbing his head just in time to catch a glimpse of the other two people he had just met leaving and for some reason Rosco had obtained about 75 pounds of roasted picken. Ray inhaled deeply as they left before getting up to his feet properly though still a little dizzy. Hm...that old man had a ship...and food. I'm sure they won't mind a stowaway Ray thought to himself grabbing the table beside for balance, "...maybe i should just sit down for a while first." he said to himself as he pulled up a stool and lazily fell sitting on top of it.

Oblivious to anything or anyone following him at this point, a determined Jackson continued to dart across the ground until he had reached a small clearing. He contained the urge to expose himself that very moment and chose to conceal himself in a nearby bush instead. From his vantage point, the cat could see that he had reached the sea front of the town he was tracking.

Rather than admiring the waves that lapped onto the sandy shore, a pair of fishermen caught his full attention. The two of them were packing their day's catch into a wooden crate that they could bring into town and sell to the other townsfolk, and Jackson's round eyes widened at the sight of the silvery scales before the lid hid them from sight. When the fishermen left to break for lunch not long after, he dashed over to the box and jumped on top of it.

Although if would have been preferable if his lunch was at least cooked instead of raw, his heart leaped when he cut a square opening into the lid and pulled out the first scaled beauty. The two pirate ships moored on the beach's shore worried him little, and he took hardly any notice to them for the time being. His stomach now wondrously content, Jackson tossed the fish's remains to the side and rolled over onto his back to soak in the sunshine.

Abo didn't even pay the fish any attention and raced straight past the barrel and Jackson.
When Ziv followed a few minuted later, much less quiet and fast she stopped for a moment and looked at Jackson. Then she shook her head. Well, she wouldn't eat that, that was for sure.
She looked around and saw two ships. Maybe one of them could take her along? She sighed when she saw the flags. But that couldn't be changed.
The crews had to be in town, so that was where she'd go.
She turned and marched off, searching her bag for a nice dress she could wear for a dance. After all, she could make money while she was at it.

Bobby looked up to Rosco''Sir it is bobby, perhaps you had a bit too much sake, And ofcourse I know a few pirate songs on the fiddle'' then a minute later he saw Rosco getting out of the bar with some chicken like creature which smelled delicious'' ah that does smell good'' he smiled, looking up to the air the sun was shining and there was a slight breeze the ideal time for some good old pirate songs, picking the flute out of his pocket and threw it in the air and changed it in a fiddle, then he started playing and singing, he then stopped a while and took a song book from his bag it was a old stained book with a heavy leather cover he carfully took it and handed it over to Rosco''be carful it is a really old book, so you might wanna look into the book , if the song you mentioned earlier is in there''

Rosco laughed slightly as Bobby corrected his error, truth was he did get a little tipsy from the sake, but more so Rosco in general was just bad with names; usually forgetting them as fast as they where told. As Rosco and Billy started walking into the woods that would lead to the New Earth the captain was handed the old leather music book. After skimming the pages of native East Blue tunes he came upon the melody his father used to play, the song was called "The Freedom Train". After marking the page for the boy Rosco passed the book back to Bobby. "My father would sing this song to me when I was very little, I would throw a fit until he'd play it for me... A good man my father is..." His voice trailed off as he stared off into the afternoon sky. The 2 continued on the path towards the New Earth, oblivious to the situation unfolding on the beach.

The ambush happened in seconds, Goga was captured by the crew before he even knew an attack was under way. The net was atop the fishman before he could react to the pirates, it had been fired from a cannon aboard the ship. Goga was caught and cranked onto the ship in under a minute, then the pirates lifted anchor and headed back out to sea. Leaving behind a spilt bucket of coconuts and Goga's captured prey... The first mate of the Free Pirates was now a prisoner.

bobby accepted the book back took a look at the page and with a smile on the face he said'' I love that song as wel, let me play it for you'' becoming enthousiastic as he started playing and singing following in his captains stead, he got carried away while playing and didn't really see where he was going he just was foccusing on the song, and a bit on where his captain went

Without a care in the world, Jackson continued to sunbathe on top of the wooden crate he was sprawled out upon. He was about to doze off and take a much-needed snooze when a sudden shot from a canon caught him in unawares. Falling off his perch and landing on four paws in the sand below, he looked around madly to find the source of the sudden shot.

To his luck, it wasn't anything aimed at him, but at some fishman on one of the ships near the shoreline. The fella didn't stand much of a chance against the sudden ambush, and Jackson's eyes scarcely blinked as he witnessed the scene unfold before him without the slightest intention of moving from his spot. Only when the second pirate ship started to sail away did he shift his weight uncomfortably as he considered what to do next.

That ship the fishman was on definitely looked nicer than that pitiful dinghy that he and Ziv used to get here. If it was only that fishman on the vessel, it would be such a waste for it to just sit there all by its little lonesome... He could save that ship from its impending misery by borrowing it, although returning it didn't seem to cross his mind.

Ah, music!
Ziv could hear it, carried faintly on the wind. Sure, she had also heard the cannon, but that wasn't really her business, was it? Playing hero only got people killed, and she liked being alive.
Dancing to music would be even better than just dancing by herself. Even she had to admit it had been a bit dull.
She followed the music a while, when something else awakened her curiousity... and appetite... Meat. Wonderful cooked meat. when did she have something like that the last time? It seemed like eternity ago...
Her steps quickened until she saw the cause for both the smell and the music. Her face darkened a bit. Two men, and, from her point of view, they looked more than suspicious... Especially the one with the meat.
Great, she had been hoping for a girl. They were generally easier to work with... Though men rarely watend her to split the loot. Still, she had seen enough men the last weeks. She couldn't believe she really changed into one of her favorite dresses for this...

As Rosco walked the beaten trail his eyes slowly closed, the melody immediately transported him into his childhood. He stepped steadily as the cooked Picken shifted left and right while he walked. The 2 continued down the trail in this happy daze of music until a sudden sound snapped Rosco from his enjoyment. It sounded like a cannon blast but it was different somehow, it was coming from the direction of the beach but wasn't followed by sounds of chaos. Momentarily confused, Rosco brushed it off and continued on his was, he would have fell back in his musical fog but he sensed someone approaching.

When he looked around he was pleasantly surprised to see a beautiful woman in a pretty dress. She seemed curious of Bobby and Rosco and appeared to be weary from her travels. Rosco immediately lost his normal presence and turned into a stammering school boy. His face became flushed as he put his free hand in his pocket out of nervousness. "Uhh, yea... Uh hi!!" he said in a squawking voice, in a volume far exceeding what was needed. His mind was working in overdrive but he simply couldn't think of something to say, just like most pretty woman she had left him tripping over his own words. "Miss are you hungry? Uhh I mean... We have extra food if you would like to join us... Umm if your free that is... Not that you wouldn't have something better to do I just mean..." His voiced trailed off as he became too flustered to handle, he took a deep breath, then looked up at the woman with his normal un-anxious eyes. "My name is Skip D. Rosco, It's great to meet you miss." his voice had regained it's normal tone and he was putting on the face of a captain again.

Oh, a shy one. How unexpected. By the looks of him, she had expected him to be one of those troublemakers... Still, him having a weakness when it came to women could work out in her favor... And her stomach reminded her how a little food wouldn't hurt.
She waited patiently through his stammering, what else should hse do, after all, but didn't let him out of her sight. She tried to appear as nice as she could, but inside, she was just as wary of him as everyone else.
Rosco. Skip D. Rosco. Ziv searched her memory, but wasn't surprised when she heard she hadn't heard of him.
Outwards, she smiled and pointed at her necklace, which had her name written on it in the fine, fragile handwriting of her foster parent, Regina.

As the woman motioned to her necklace Rosco read it over, Ziv, then his eyes naturally lingered down to the woman's chest. The composure he had just built melted away as his face became blood red, he quickly turned away acting as if he had only read her name. The tall handsome captain ran his free hand through his dark brown hair as his eyes stared at everything except the woman in front of him. "Uhh, would you like to join us? Umm I mean we have more food than we can eat... Would you want to share a meal aboard my ship?" his words came out sheepishly as he tried not making eye contact, 'pull yourself together Rosco.' He thought to himself as he posted up a wide grin on his face and waited for her response.

bobby stopped playing for a while and turned to his captain '' hey Cap I didn't knew you like that, but well its nice to see you like that '' bobby said smiling then he turned to the pretty lady who, well of course she looked good, '' Hi there, my name is Bobby, Bobby lightning, as you heard I am a musician. nice to meet you'' Bobby tried to stay cool, and he suceeded quite a bit,

That one was the musician. Ziv was a little sad he had stopped playing, it had been a nice song, and out of habit, she had started thinking of steps to go with it. She smiled at him encouragingly, after all she wanted to be perceived as the nicest person around.
Still, to be invited to join right away... Jackpot! Or maybe less so... She knew what most people had in mind when they asked her to join right away... Especially since she had noticed the look of the one with the mismatched eyes, Rosco... But the food. The food.
No, she couldn't. It'd be too suspicious if she joined right away. Now, how to make it clear to them that she would very much like to eat, but that she was so not sure about joining since she was so very bad with strangers and stuff...
She thought about it for a while, then nodded and gestured for them to show the way. After all, her stomach was feeling so very empty...

It was slightly embarrassing when Bobby introduced himself to Ziv, he was smooth and not at all stammering. The captain actually found himself envying the young man, he had yet to develop such skills as keeping it cool around women. He was pleasantly surprised when the woman motioned for them to show the way. Rosco had no idea if she would be fit to join the crew, but it was second nature to offer a pretty woman a meal. He took a deep breath and the red color faded from his face, he was able to keep himself under control when he focused hard enough. He gave the woman another smile as his eyes darted away again and he continued down the path. Even though he became preoccupied with Ziv his mind still had an uneasy feeling, ever since he heard that shot something has been off, something was wrong.

As the 3 of them broke through the edge of the woods and onto the beach it was apparent Rosco was right. Goga's net was cast into the water his hemp rope stretched across the sand, leading up to a spilled bucket of half skinned coconuts. The attitude of Rosco completely changed, his best friend was gone, Something has happened to his brother. "Goga..." his voiced trailed off as he paced to the ship, there was no way his first mate could be overpowered, could there?

It was that ship from before...
Well, she had thought it looked nice, after all. But the atmosphere had changed rather suddenly. She didn't know who or what Goga was, but... her instincts told her something was odd. Could it be to the noise she had heard earlier?
All of her senses sharpened with her concentrated on any incoming danger, she noticed something running for her, something small.....
She winced as she thought it was some sort of weird kind of attack, but then Abo climbed up her dress and sat on her shoulder, cleaning his little snout. Looks like he had found something to eat, at least... And that'd mean her family'd be back soon. she felt a lot more secure now.

after hearing his captain get so down, he knew something was wrong, goga he heard that name before, oh yeah it was his first mate, putting the flute back into his case and getting both drumsticks out, not closing the pouch for the flute, since he could use it in combat too, ''Come on captain we should retrieve your ship, and hope the first mate is fine, we should hurry'' bobby said as he got fired up, he wanted to help people he didn't like it when people where sad and he always wanted to help them,

"This is bad. " Rosco said as he walked forward, rolling a coconut on his foot and flipping it up to his free hand. He examined it a minute, then hurled it into the ocean, Goga had definitely peeled them. Bobby spoke up about going after the perpetrators, but he knew better. "It's not that simple Bobby... Goga was captured. That means whoever did it has the ability to restrain and imprison my first mate... This isn't something to be taken lightly." The truth was Rosco had never sailed the ship without Goga, he didn't even know if he was capable. "Plus we have no idea where his captors went... I need to strategies. " Rosco stared into the ocean for was seemed like minutes, all the time the mass of meat dangling on the pole in front of Ziv and Bobby. He thought to himself about every option and the possible outcomes, well the apparent ones. Then suddenly he turned to Ziv and Bobby, stared at them with the eyes of a captain, he was no longer the mumbling boy from before and now had the dominant presence of a man. "I'm Skip D. Rosco, a man of Freedom and a man of the sea... I'm captain of the Free pirates and I will build the Free Nation. " His words where direct and forceful, his family has been harmed, a line has been crossed. His free hand flushed white as he clenched his fist, his fingernails dug into the wooden club as he forced the anger down. "My brother has been taken... I WILL kill to get him back. " He stared directly at Ziv and Bobby "I need your help, I cannot do this alone... Will you help me save my brother? "

What?
No one ever said anything about fighting! Ziv personally much preferred running... But she did have to gain those peoples trust a little, and... oh god, that meat. Her stomach hurt from looking at it. Couldn't they eat first?
It needed some willpower to snap out of it, but finally she did and nodded. Though she might not be much help in fights, maybe she could... Cause some distraction?

The captain was delighted as Ziv nodded in acceptance to his proposition, Bobby had already made it clear he was interested so Rosco became happy. Then he noticed Ziv was eyeing the meat, realizing she was hungry his previous attitude returned. "Oh my! How rude of me, I should have offered you some meat... Lets get on the ship and we can eat properly. " With a smile he turned from Ziv and Bobby, walking in front of where the New Earth was docked. Holding onto the bat tightly Rosco crouched down then jumped into the air, lunging up high as he grabbed onto the bow with his free hand, then pulling himself onto the ship; his days in the forests had served their purpose. A moment later Rosco returned with a rope ladder, he threw it over, the rock on it's end landed with a thud on the beach below. "Climb on up! " He then turned away and walked across the deck, into the kitchen where he grabbed a large wooden bowl to serve the meat on, he put it on the table with the roasted picken atop ready to be cut. He started cutting the meat in the dining room of the ship and waited for the others to climb aboard.

Whew. Food did come first, after all.
Ziv was delighted to hear about it, and so was her stomach.
She grabbed the ladder and started climbing up, thinking about the food instead of even noticing she was wearing a skirt, and how it would've been better for the guy to climb up first. Well, but that was just how she was sometimes. Incredibly blind to obvious details when it came to things where instincts took over. After a while, she as on deck and looked around.
Nice ship, as expected. Good quality wood, nicely crafted, and... oh, damn. Cat. It couldn't be him, right? She couldn't have that much bad luck, right? She glared at the feline lying around in the sun and waited.

Returning to the deck with the bowl of cut meat in hand Rosco was pleased to see Ziv on board. While walking across the ship's deck he noticed and sunbathing cat, he had seen Ziv's ferret and figured the cat was hers too. Rosco reached into the bowl piled high with over 50 lbs of meat and grabbed a large piece of roasted Picken, he tossed it over to the cat; Rosco always had a soft spot for animals. He came up to Ziv with the bowl of meat, "Help yourself! This is all I could fit in the bowl, there's even more downstairs so don't be stingy. " then he turned from the pretty woman and laid the bowl on the round wooden table built around the mast of the ship, he pulled up one of the barrels that where situated around for seats. "We need to find Goga... That is certain... But I trust he can handle himself until we find the ship. Right now lets enjoy a nice meal. " He said this with a smile as he grabbed a handful of meat and took a monstrous bite, the ship had few bowls and most meals where eaten by hand; this was the way Goga and Rosco are used to.

bobby stood there still in front of the ship, he knew something was of, why would they leave a ship and capture just a person, was the person some special guy or what he really didn't know so he decided to get up on the ship he climbed on the ladder and looked for where the other two were, it didn't take long before he found them, they were already enjoying the meal he sat down and started eating to, he wasn't really hungry he did feel uneasy of all what happend, he really hoped he could be of help to his new captain.

Jackson's ears edged backwards when Ziv came into view, and further still when he could have sworn that she recognized him. What was she doing with a few pirates, and so soon? Although the other two weren't of much consequence, he probably couldn't stand being in her company any more than the already glorious time they've already spent together. The tip of his tail flicked in mild irritation as he wondered what he did to deserve seeing the rat girl and her little friends once again. He gave Ziv an unamused stare before turning away in a quiet huff.

For all intensive purposes, he got on the ship first. That obviously meant that she was the one doing the following. She ought to be the one that leaves, not him. He sat down and made himself comfortable as a hunk of meat landed near him with a soft thud, and helped himself to his second course of that day's meal. Jackson knew perfectly well that she wouldn't be able to verbally object to him being there, so he'd be able to stay as long as he pleases. As long as he got free food out of the deal, why not tag along with the ship for a while? It sure beat scrounging the streets for scraps.

Why that little... Enjoying the stolen food he had done absolutely nothing to deserve! (Of course, she wasn't much better when it came to that... But damn, this was some good meat.)
Ziv decided to ignore him like a mature person and instead concentrated on her food. It feeled so good to finally have her stomach filled again.
She could take care of the cat later.
Ziv tried to eat slowly, but it looked like she only succeeded halfway, and the food was gone way too fast for her liking.
Well, at least she didn't feel like dieing any moment soon. At least not from hunger. Now she could at least be of some use. She supressed her sigh. Normally, she didn't pay back for the free food she was offered... It defeated the purpose of it being for free...

As soon as the wooden bowl came to rest at the table Rosco started devouring his meal. Goga and himself have been at sea for over a month now, surviving on whatever Goga pulled up from the sea. If Rosco could have had his way he would have started the eating the Picken as soon as it got close enough; but his mother always told him NEVER eat before you plate hits the table. Now that they were on the ship Rosco could have his fill of red meat, it was only a matter of minutes before Rosco had eaten 20 lbs, taking his captain's fill and sitting back, heavily satisfied. "There's plenty more in the kitchen, feel free to fill the bowl back up. " Rosco smiled at Ziv and Bobby as he stood up and stretched his back "I suppose we should start going after them. " he said in a plain unclear tone that was hard to tell if he was genuine or putting on a face for the new crew. Slowly Rosco walked over to the right side of the boat where a large metal chain was hanging off. "Goga usually does this... All well, can't be help. The crank is broken. " he said while motioning to the broken crank to the left of him. With a deep breath Rosco leaned over the side of the boat, taking a firm grasp of the chain. Then slowly, hand over hand, Rosco heaved the large iron anchor up onto the ship. Letting out a huge sigh of relief as he wiped the sweat from his forehead Rosco turned to his crew once more. "Time to set sail. " His wide smile flashed to the crew as he walked to the rear of the ship to the helm, taking a hold of the wooden wheel and setting it to the proper direction. "Can either of you set a sail? " he asked to the two eating their meal, this was Goga's usual job; Rosco didn't really want to navigate as well as man the sails.
