Abram is always seen carrying a jug of sake.
History: Abram is one of the few pirates left who remember the old age of piracy. When Gold D. Roger was alive Abram was just a chore boy of the Rising Tide pirates. Abram knew he wanted to be pirate at the age of seven. He loved being at sea with his crew going on adventures throughout the grand line. Abram learned everything about being a pirate from swordsmanship to knowledge of the seas. His greatest inspiration was the pirate king himself, but unforunately Abram never got the chance to meet his hero. At the age of 16, Abram witnessed Gold Roger's death. Then at the beginning of the golden age, Abram decided the form his own crew hoping to claim one piece. Abram spent the rest of his youth sailing the grand line where he developed a powerful crew and a rather large bounty. Then at the age of 24, Abram found a rather interesting fruit. The fruit gave him the power over shadows. Abram used his power to steal shadows from powerful pirates and marines alike. He kept the shadows in his small treasure where they can be used for later use. Abram used his newly acquired shadows to increase his strength as well as his crew. This theft of shadows gave Abram a lot of enemies. Abram also became obssessed with collecting more powerful shadows. He wanted to take the shadows from the warlords themselves. Then as time passed it became a struggle for Abram to sail his ship further into the grand line. The silver pirates finally made it to the New World. A few days sailing into the New World, the silver pirates discovered that it was nearly impossible to stay there. The marines, warlords, and four emperors made it difficult for them to even survive in the New World. Abram hoped by stealing shadows that his crew would be powerful enough to survive, but he was wrong. More than half of his crew were killed in the New World. Abram decided that he should sail back to paradise. There his crew could train to become strong enough to sail in the New World. At the age of 27, Abram began training at his home town. For three years, Abram trained tirelessly to increase his strength. Then he found Sasha Pierce. The two fell in love, and got married. Abram never told her about his past as a pirate, and tried his best to keep it a secret. He took a job as a gardener where he discovered inner peace. Abram no longer thought of adventure or the sea. The only thing he wanted was to spend his life with Sasha. At the age of 32, Abram had two sons with Sasha. The crew eventually disbanded when Abram failed to reunite with his commardes. He decided that his family was more important than his dreams. His old crew sailed the seas under a different captain and flag. Troy and Silver Jr., Silver's sons, grew up to become young merchants. Silver's wife died unforunately by diease. Abram seeing that his sons were now grown, and his wife dead decided to return being pirate. Now as an old man, Abram doesn't desire to become king. His only wish is that he sails the grand line one last time. Abram now sails looking for new recruits to form the silverskull pirates once again.
Personality: Abram was once an evil merciless pirate captain in his youth, but over the years his heart has softened. He is a now kind and wise old man. Abram calls younger pirates "children" and older pirates as "geezers". He loves to drink and talk to his crew thinking of them as his new family. Abram also is not like other captains. He doesn't like making final decisions, but rather discuss decisions with his crew(though Abram does have the final word on what happens within the crew). Abram also likes to mediatate during free time. Though Abram has changed over the years, he still has old habits. Abram loves to steal shadows from people, but instead of stealing them from everybody he steals from his enemies. He also displays acts of cruelty when angered. Abram does not want to become pirate king seeing that the title belongs to the new generation. He only wants to sail the grand line completely just as Gold Roger did. One piece is not a treasure for Abram. His treasure is his friends, crew, and family. Abram doesn't like talking about the past saying that it often blinds people from the present.
