Appearance: Ventus is 6’2”. With his height he might have been intimidating, but the boy’s body from his neck down is so skinny that he looks like missing a meal would kill him. In contrast with his lower half, Ventus’s face appears normal, though it is still sharp and angular, giving him an almost hawk-like appearance. To further add to his bizarre appearance, Ventus has short, white hair and golden eyes. On the other hand, his clothing is normal. Ventus usually wears a hoodie, either grey or green, jeans, and a pair of sandals. Ventus wears his manriki-gusari around his waist as a belt. He carries his halberd on his back with a leather strap.

History: Ventus comes from an island down in the South Blue. The island is hidden from the outside world and its name is a secret only known to its inhabitants. In any case, Ventus grew up there and left that place when he was fifteen. Leaving at this early age is not unusual for his people. Many of them leave home to explore the world and then return home to marry and have children. Once, a person described these people as “…explorers at heart. They leave their home to see the world and once they have had their fill, they return to their home island and are never seen again.” Because of their wandering, Ventus’s people are usually very good navigators. Ventus is no exception.

Ventus’s quest soon led him to an island not far from his home where he met another boy his age. He became close to the boy and he stayed with his new friend’s family for two years, paying his keep by working as a navigator for local fishermen and shipping companies. He could always predict the weather accurately and kept them safe. Ventus’s friend was training to be a soldier on his island. Since he came from another place, Ventus could not be a soldier, but he learned from his friend and they practiced together. One day, the boy told Ventus that he wanted to master every weapon in the world. That way, he would always be prepared no matter where he was. The next day, the boy contracted a deadly disease. Within a week, he died. Shattered, Ventus bought a boat and supplies and he left the island, taking with him his friend’s halberd, which his friend’s family had given him.

Ventus decided to fulfill his friend’s dream for him and he bought a manriki-gusari on the next island. He is currently learning how to use it and is getting very good with it.

Personality: Like his appearance, Ventus’s personality is odd. He is not quiet or anti-social and will approach others if he has a question. He is very straightforward and does not play word games. However, Ventus does not get close to people. He can even be rude about it if someone tries to approach him.
