checkmate pirates chapter 2 : the first move

((he has just became a captain and now he thinks hes better than everyone else))
sonthiol replied "okay lets go. who was the other one?" sonthiol fumbled around in his pocket for bandages, antibiotics anything as he did his broken arm twitched in pain as he searched with it.

sheral had headed into town and grabbed something to eat after he had finished he created eight pawns in a circle around him and ordered them to kill anyone who come even close to him

Nick was sitting outside a book shop reading a book when four guys passed by him talking " Hey did you hear there's a pirate on the island and everyone says he vicious" Nick closed his book and begin walking around the town the first place he went was to the closet restaurant and sure enough he found Sheral sitting at a table eating and surrounded by his pawns. Nick walks into the restaurant and stood at the entrance and begin talking across the room.
" You know the people of this town is talking about you and there terrified of you" Nick walks up to the bar counter and fixed himself a cup of water and sat down looking at Sheral...

sheral answered nick "we are authority and this island needs to know this. I shall get rid of most of these pawns they have work to do". sheral then clicked his fingers and got a waiter to get him more food. while food was coming he order one pawn to get wood, one to get metal , one to get food , one to get liquid ,two to find and take to the ship even if this means agaist there will the blindman and the mermaid also he added "if you have not returned in 15 minutes he will go do the job himself" and handed one of them a net then the last two were to stay gaurd of him

Nick took a sip out of water " Where's the mermaid you two were together last time i saw you" Nick didn't know about the fight they had so he was curios where she was she looked kind of interesting, Nick opened his book he just bought and looked over at Sherel "You can talk I'll be listening"

sheral just said "the mermaid should be waiting for us at the ship and if not i will collect her. the reason she is gone now is because she felt sorry for some scum". sherals food finally arrived then he offered nick one plate of food

Crista rased an eye brow "what other one" she said and tryed to help him get his stuff.

sonthiol just said "it must have been my imagination" while he said this he with help took out a bandage and a small needle. with these he wrapped the bandage around his chest holding it inplace witha needle then took out the needle. during the process his arm kept twitching but he hoped that the mermaid was used to it "i never got your name what is it?"

sheral just ate while his pawns did the work four pawns had come past the restaurant stating that they had gotten the supplies but needed to put it on the ship but sheral just used them away and asked nick "do you think two pawns will be able to collect the blind man and the mermaid?". the two pawns which were sent to get the blind man and the mermaid saw them and drew there swords and one holding the steel net they started to push past the crowd trying to get closer to them

Nick sighed "You can't force someone to join your crew, if you do there's not gonna be any loyalty" Nick kept reading his book as he talked to Sheral " And besides I don't think two pawns will be able to take the two of them on" Nick closed his book and got up he walked over to where Sheral was sitting and grabbed a plate of food and begin eating...

sheral answered nick by saying "i will not be forcing her she accepted to join so im just making sure trectury gets stopped before it starts" sheral created one side of the board of troops then ate more food "god my devil fruit make me hungry as hell"

Nick takes a few bites out of his plate and looked at Sheral " It seems your devil fruit has a weird side effect" Nick pulls out a notebook and begins writing information down in it...

"what is so weird of being hundry i thought everyones fruit did that i more confused of why i cant swim" sheral grabbed onto his horse noticing time thinking 4 minutes you men have untill i go myself then the test of loyalty will happen.

Crista blinked and looked around. then she saw some men coming after them" come on, we got to get out of here" she said taking the mans hand. "oh, and my names crista"

"whats happening" sonthiol said a tad confused but non the less followed christa she knew there was danger he could not see

sheral was annoyed he had started to eat his fourth plate of food and still he had only created so far 3 sets of one side of a chess board of soldiers (24 pawns , 6 rooks , 6 bishops, 6 knights ,3 queens , and 3 kings) then he dived into his food after the first couple of mouthfulls the pawns hadnt returned so he told all his troop "I WANT THE SCUM AND MERMAID FOUND NOW GO" as he yelled this all the troops started to left except the kings

Nick watches the small army run out of the restaurant and look for those two people, Nick didn't say anything he only watched with the surprised and scared costumers and restaurant workers, he took a few more bites of his food and drunk his water and stared at Sheral...

sheral just asked nick when he noticed him staring at him "what's wrong? i just need to do a simple loyalty test" sheral then took out a chess board and played against himself

Nick didn't speak for a moment he only watched Sheral play chest " Loyalty Test huh?" Nick stands up and walks over to Sherals table and sat down " You seem a little violent than you was before, what made that change come about?"

played a four games of chess then replied "i get easily pissed of and i feel rather differantly about people when i havent played chess for such a long time like 3 weeks while we were at sea. the loyalty test if i still feel like i need to do .it is does the mermaid take the blindmans life or her own?" sheral neglected the rest of his food and continued playing chess
