History:Joseph Darks lost both his parents to the plague when he was five years old. Sad and alone no one would take him in. One day while bandits were raiding there village one stopped and noticed a starving child in rags. It reminded the man when he was down on his luck with no one to care for him. So taking pity one Joe, Alastor Vauge took him in. Teaching Joe how to steal and plunder. Excelling at his life of thievery life was grand. But unfortunately the world government sent the marines out to dispose of them. As the squad of marines attack there base Joe went all out. A marine knocked the sword from Joes hand. Ready to finish him off then Vauge Stood in front of Joe and blocked the marines sword. "Darks! Your took wounded you gotta get out of here! I'll hold them off. Take our comrades and sail for the seas and be free. Tears running down Joes face he ran off with the other bandits. A few days later the found out Vauge was executed. Joseph Darks never wanted to feel that weak again! He felt Shame for not being able to help his mentor.....Vauge was a father figure to him. Stealing A ship they roamed the grandline plundering and stealing from any ship that dare cross there path. Joseph Trained endlessly throughout his journey. Never wavering, never stopping he would be strong enough to protect his Nakama and no one will stop him or so he thought. Stealing from to many trade and marine ships bounty grew and grew. After killing the son of an old marine Admiral they raised his bounty to 10,000,000belli. Finally Joseph Darks and his crew was chased by bounty hunters, marines and even pirates for his bounty. Until they were defeated. Corpses surrounding Joseph Darks. He was able to kill all they damn Marines but at what cost?. His men were slain and he was servery maimed the Captain of the marine ship had weakened him. That blow to his back must have cause slight paralysis that came and went as it pleased. then the unthinkable happend the ship exploded. Slipping into the darkness Joseph passed out. The near by marine ships saw it explode and reported him dead. Luckly washing Ashore Joseph Found a crate opening it he found the Horo Horo no Mi fruit. Not knowing what it was his hunger consumed it. Now realizing he ate a devil fruit Joseph Darks concentrated on his new ghostly powers. Useing his reputation in his ghost form he haunted towns scaring them away. While hideing his body nearby. All his previous training wouldnt save him now.His temporary paralysis was too risky in hand to hand combat. But his Ghost form was very formidable.
Personality: At first glance he looks like a man you can trust but after a double take or 2 you could feel something truly terrible about him. Even though he a pretty level headed fellow, deep down into the core of this man is a kind hearted fellow. Even if people thinks he looks like an evil person he doesn't let it get to him. He does what is necessary weither it be to save a village from monsters or burn it down. His Thievery isnt about greed. deep down inside he feels hollow. and stealing gives him a happyness high. that fills him with some weird kinda belonging. Basically He will do what ever it takes to complete his objectives and if he can pluder and steal along the way? Perfect!
