Let us have some sparring, Nishkis new initiation sparring ((Closed))

"Aspire to greatness, Lieutenant," Kalamity stated as cordially as his rasping voice would let him, staring down the hail of ten bullets all coming from different points of origin. His sword arm snapped infront of him, in the direction of the majority of the bullets. Leaping backwards, Vince began twirling the sword, which became a pale, shimmering disk of opalescent light.

Eight of the ten bullets bounced off of the spinning blade, their deflection marked by brilliant sparks. One went wide, sailing off into the ocean harmlessly. The tenth, however, grazed Vince's head, a loud metalic twang and a sudden jerk of his neck marking it's strike.

Unperturbed, movements precise and calculated, Vince straightened his head out and reacted within a split second of the last bullet's deflection. Rushing towards his foe, he threw the double sword directly where Sean was running in an attempt to cut off his forward path. A hair's breadth behind it followed Kalamity himself, rushing directly towards Sean, his fist balled and drawn back for a haymaker.

Sean couldnt move any longer, he was stuck now. "Gahh damn, looks like i lose........ still your quite a strong Rear Admiral Vince......"

Nishki sighed "So Sean knows he has lost....."

Vince skidded to a halt, the metal soles of his boots making a terrible screeching noise. Kalamity unballed his fist and relaxed his arm, forgoing his punch; he could see that his opponent had conceded.

"You've got a bright future, Lieutenant," Kalamity stated, finishing his words a moment before his sword sunk into the ship's railing with a loud thunk. "As bright as the star of Azathoth, that seethes at the center of all creation, burning with the intensity of our sun a million times over."

Read Admiral Kalamity raised his hand.

"No such star exists," he informed Sean. "But it's bright, anyways."

Walking over to the rail, Vince pulled out his sword and hooked it back onto his belt, along the armless side of his body. Turning back towards the gathered officers, he stood next to ensign Jissly as he waited to watch the match that would follow his.

"So..." Vince grated, leaning forward a bit, "...venom."

As Jissly overheard Mary talking about the stipulations, she smiled. She wondered how people viewed her as strong, in her mind, she simply portrayed herself as a stealth tactician and assassin. That was her job in CP5 anyways, where she would slither around her allies, and bite her enemies, when her enemies limbs came close to her allies bodies. Honestly Jissly was used as a simple weapon, when Grey used her as a trump card for more dangerous affairs. Calling herself the biting snake around the neck, people would accuse her of being a pet of Grey under transformation. Though her chakrams and snake Kung Fu were used for self defense. She played a blind eye to the man who asked her about venom earlier. As his match had just expired. He asked her once more, she replied,"" Yes, I have an assortment of venom, my devil fruit is based on the black mamba, which possesses one of the most powerful venom in this world." She vomited her paralysis venom in a medical cup that she deprived from her pocket, as she explained," My original last name isn't Hebi, I received it from a group of snake zoans, I met a few months back. Who specialized in venom extraction, they said my venom was the second strongest. The most potent and powerful by far, my venom can kill on the whim of me. Though I never want to kill anyone, I use my paralysis venom more than the others, as it is the most effective. Though in order for my venom to effect a foe, I must eject it in his or her bloodstream, usually through my chakrams, or my own teeth."

Vince listened attentively, nodding in time to the explanation. He lifted his hand as if to clap when she announced that her venom was ranked second strongest, but failed to do so without another arm.

"I am still learning about toxins, Ensign Hebi. I dream of making a toxin that stuns the whole world, a poison so powerful, so virulent...so dealy, that a single molecule of it can kill ten men!"

Vince held up his hand.

"There is no such poison."

After a moment's pause, he turned his attention to the cup she held.

"Is...that for me?" Pink drool poured over his teeth, running down the charred flesh of his chin and coating the metal plates of his chest and abdomen. Remembering his rank, to which he had risen very rapidly more due to exceptional circumstance than experience, Vince shut his jaw with a loud clacking noise and held out his hand. He knew he aught to request it more formally.

"I'll thank you for the sample, Ensign Hebi."

Jissly reached her hand out closing the cup, and handing it to the man in front of her. She smiled as she replied," Oh no problem, Rear Admiral Kalamity, I'm here to help and provide."

Kakura wondered who was going next, he desired to battle last. Kakura was selective on the kind of opponent he wanted to face. He stared at Grey from the corner of his eye. Trying to start a conversation with a man who spoke less than anyone on the ship," So what did you think about the Rear Admiral?" Grey responded in a very cold and bitter tone," Pretty talented, I did not know that there were cyborgs in the navy. The man is also very quick and calculating, he seems to be as formidable as the man you faced a few months back, Vice admiral Nishki." Grey watched Kakura response as Kakura started to yell,"Chef dude! Get out here, we are going to decide who goes next me or you."

Nishki then said "Kakura, you come out first ..... it seems the chef needs more time.... but it would seem Vince has won......." Sean then walked of "Man that was painful....sheesh......."

the next fighter was already there , he was a dark skinned man who had iron boxing gloves "WOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOO, IM FIRED UP!!!! YOU THERE , KAKURA!!! COME ON DOWN!!!!!!"

Kakura started to get annoyed by the man's comment, he thought the comment was really lame. Kakura walked to the combat square, with his head positioned up, as his hand touched the back of it in a sense of pessimism. Dazed and tired eyes marked the face of Kakura as he went for the first move. Quickly drawing his staff, as he rose the spear and launched it down vertically aiming directly for the head of his opponent. Judging by his boxing gloves, he knew the man was a boxer. Purposely, he desired for the man to hit him, so Kakura can attack him with ronkyaku. It seemed that the hit would damage Kakura significantly, though Kakura didn't want to play a game of tag, he already experienced that with Vice Admiral Nishki.

The dark skinned man was Ensign Jareem, and he dodged the staff at first and then aimed a straight right punch "I saw YOUR FIGHT AGAINST VICE ADMIRAL NISHKI!!!! I KNOW I CAN BEAT YOU !!!!!!!!!"

Nishki smiled "Seems he doesnt know what kakura can do.........."

As the jab entered the midsection of Kakura, he indeed felt significant pain, in fact the jab felt like Kakura's ribs were about to give out. Though the pain, only made Kakura more confident as he rose his left leg up. Aiming for the chin as his left foot went hoarding into that area. Though the kick was not meant to hit that area, but to unleash a tremendous rankyaku. If the man somehow evaded, would aim right for the upper part of his body, right above his chest, blowing him back, and would indeed knock him unconscious due to the strength of the blow. Kakura used this maneuver from the actions of Grey.

Ensign Jareem didnt see the counter coming until it hit him, he was flung backwards the world turning dark, "Damn,..... and i thought i could win too........" Jareem flew into the crowd and passed out.

Nishki then announced "Jareem is no longer able to battle....... Kakura is the winner!!!!!!"

Jace returned to find several more fighters down for the count. He sighed. This first round was far to troublesome. Perhaps he should wait until it was over before he started taking people to the infirmary. Besides, it wasn't like they had life threatening injuries or anything. So he collected up the unconscious fighters and lay them out off to the side before returning to Talitha and standing at her right. Once again he found it odd, when he saw Jackson, that Talitha had him on her right. In most cases it would mean that he was her go to person when she needed something, but it was increasingly obvious that Jackson filled that position and not him. Tero resolved to ask his captain about it sometime. Then he thought, why not now?

"Ma'am?" Tero leaned forward so that he could speak quietly. "Can I ask you something?"

"Eh?"
Talitha turned a little to look at Tero directly. Then she turned back again and shrugged.
"Sure, why not. Go ahead."

"It's about where I stand," Tero said. "I mean that literally. I know it sounds trivial, but it still kind of bugs me. I stand on your right, which is usually reserved for people who are your second in command, or simply the person you turn to when you need something. It's obvious that Jackson fills that roll here rather then me, so why was I given the position on your right rather then Jackson?"

"Oh, that's because he's a weakling."
Talitha waved her hand and her voice was as blunt as her words.
Jackson either ignored it, hadn't heard it or didn't care about it, his facial expression didn't change.
"Also because I don't care. Quite frankly..."
She leaed towards Tero and whispered:
"I'm not even sure he's human... or... you know, anything else..."
Jackson cleared his throat, making clear that he had heard every word, and Talitha leaned back again with a grin.
"Either way, if you don't want it, no big deal. I don't really care."

"Hm sorry i havent been really paying attention...So what must i do?" keitaro said rubbing the back of his head with a slight grin. Keitaro had already brought his blades up with him so he was ok. He placed the lunch he had prepared earlier down and waited for his awnser.

"Oh, no," Tero shook his head. "I didn't mean that I didn't want it I was just wondering." He glanced over at Jackson and frowned. "The captain was joking about that human thing, wasn't she? Not that I'm prejudice or anything."

Jackson dragged his cap even deeper in his face.
Then he turned to Tero. And stared. Or maybe he did, it was hard to tell without seeing his eyes...
Either way, just as it was staring to get creepy, Talitha actually stood up and stepped between them.
"Naaah, you don't even wanna know. I mean, I don't. I think he's a demon from hell or something sometimes. When he makes me do my paperwork, especially."
She layed her arm around their shoulders, something made harder by especially Teros size.
"But we're all friends, right? You can't help but love him! Well, maybe you can..."
...You could. Seriously, he was not a pleasant person. At least he wasn't... well, he didn't seem very funloving.

"Heh, and I thought I was scary," Tero muttered after seeing the 'look' Jackson was giving him. He turned back to face the battlefield. "Do either of you know when we'll be next going to the HQ?" Tero asked. "There's someone I wanted to see..."

"Better ask Nishki then! Seriously, not even I know when we're going anywhere. Mostly, I don't even kow where anywhere is until we're there."
She stopped for a second, scratching her head and frowning.
"Wait, isn't that kinda pathetic? I mean, I'm a captain, shouldn't I know?"
It was rethorical, as Jackson let Tero know with simply a motion of his hand ( don't ask what a motion saying: Oh hey, you don't need to answer that, she does that sometimes, it's completely normal. Now why don't you go to Nishki? Must look like, but Jacksons motion said it perfectly.) before going back to his notes, ignoring Talithas arm around his shoulders.

Tero had been about to answer when Jackson had waved him away. Slipping out from under Talitha's arm, Tero moved around the field to stand behind Nishki.

"Sir, I was wondering when we would next be going back to HQ," Tero said. "Are we going back there some time soon?"

Nishki then announced "Ok now for Keitaro vs Ensign Kite!!!"

Ensign Kite had a single sword, and he charged foward to cut Keitaro down.

Nishki then saw Tero "Tero... we are on the way to the HQ..... we should reach by the time to tournament is over......"
