Appearance: Ken has fairly long, spiky blond hair. He has brown eyes and slightly tanned white skin. He is about five feet and eight inches tall. He usually wears a grey short-sleeved shirt, tan shorts, and sneakers, but when he travels with his insects he wears a dark cloak over his other clothes, that goes all the way down to his ankles, so as not to frighten anyone with the amount of insects crawling on him.

History: A happy child, Ken lived on Kouchuu island with his Aunt and Uncle. (His parents were killed in a bandit raid when he was only six months old.) Kouchuu Island was given its name due to the many species of insects on the island. Ken's Aunt and Uncle were scientists who studied the insects. When Ken got old enough, his Aunt and Uncle began bringing him to their work and taught him about the insects they had there. Ken became fascinated with insects and became a kind of assistant to his Aunt and Uncle. He learned all he could about the multi-legged creatures. At the age of eight, Ken's Aunt and Uncle showed him the lab's secret treasure. It was a devil fruit, which had the power to control insects. They told him that no one was allowed to eat it because they were saving it for someone who would take on the burden of collecting and cataloging every kind of insect in the world. Ken told them then and there that he would do this himself when he got old enough. Of course, his Aunt and Uncle just smiled and nodded. Who was going to take an eight year old seriously? From that day forward Ken devoted himself to studying the creatures. For many years life was good to Ken.

Then, everything changed. A bandit group came to the island. They began taking over the town and finally made it to the lab where the insects were being studied. The bandits started tearing the lab to pieces. Ken's Aunt and Uncle tried to stop them, but were both shot and killed. Ken ran away. The bandits chased him, but he quickly lost them. He made his way to the place where the devil fruit was kept and he ate it. Then he went to the part of the lab where the most dangerous insects in the world were kept. He locked the doors and stayed in there for twenty minutes.

During this time the bandits forgot about Ken and started tearing the place apart. It was a big place and they were taking their time. Finally they reached the place where Ken had locked himself in. They broke down the doors to find the room almost completely empty. There were cages and containers laying about, but all of them were empty. When all the bandits had entered the room the doors shut behind them. In front of the doors stood Ken. As the bandits were about to move in on him they heard a buzzing sound coming from above them. Up above was a huge swarm of deadly insects. Needless to say, none of the bandits made it out alive. So Ken, who at this time was twenty, set out on his own. He decided to explore the world and fullfill his goal, to collect all the insects in the world, for his Aunt and Uncle.

Personality: Ken is nice most of the time. He's more likely to help you out instead of yelling at you for bothering him. Just don't get on his bad side. When Ken is threatened or is simply annoyed by someone, he becomes ruthless. If he gets in a fight he will not hesitate to kill his opponent. He doesn't mind pirates or Marines, but if anyone in either faction oversteps their boundaries around him, then he will do his best to kill them. No questions asked.

effect: This fruit allows the user to control the minds of any non-sentient insect he/she touches.

Special Abilities:

Battle Mind: Ken is brilliant in battle. He has to be. With a devil fruit power like his, he needs to figure out strategies to maneuver his bugs to take out his opponent. So he has trained himself to be a quick thinker in battle.

Okay, this character is pretty much done. Now all I need to do is have the weapon approved/disapproved. I also have a question, should I list what kinds of insects he has with him right now under his items list? Cause I wasn't sure where to put that part. I'm sure I'll need to list them somewhere...

I think you should list the insects he uses on the sheet. Once that happens, and you get your weapon approved, your character is approved.

Alright. The Mantis Blades have been approved and now I've gotten Ken's insects approved as well. Now I just need Ken himself to be approved please.

Thank you! I was thinking, maybe I could start a thread for anyone who wanted to join, whether they be marines or pirates or rogues or...whatever, to introduce this character and have a decent sized battle. What do you think?

Well, he's in another one right now, but I'll make sure to join one of this guys storylines later on.

whats the motivation for it? i mean is it a battle thread ? or a thread to do with story?

It would be a part of a storyline, but it would be possible for other's storyline's to mingle with it. I'm just not quite sure yet what it would be. I know most of everyone's characters are in some storyline or another, so I'll have time to think something up.
