Serious : Red Heart Pirates [pt.2] : To the Grand Line and Onto Jellyfish Island

Van was getting annoyed. He was going to return to the shiP. until he heard something. More cursing, and what seemed like drilling. He ran off to find this sound. After a while, he saw a building.

"Was that there before?" he asked himself,

He didn't want to get involved, so he hid behind a wall, hoping to hear something.

Seeing Ajax walking out into the open and talking to one of the men, Nabie hid herself behind a tree.

"What? Are you a new kid?" the man asked Ajax. "What station are you suppose to be in? Guarding or Work?"

Van fingered his guns. What was he talking to Ajax about? He held his ear out, to try to hear more.

"Hm, let's say a bit of both... Are you marines? Then really, you should know me. Unless you're new..."
He looked at the man over his sunglasses, faking a curious look.
the second he could be sure that they were marines, he'd drop that kind of behaviour.

Van wondered why marines would know of him? Do they know of pirates with such bounties? He pulled out his guns, in case a fight were to break out.

"No, I'm not new, and the hell would I be a marine. You must be part of the guard group since it seems like you've been with us for a while," the man laughed, leading Ajax towards a second big machine. "We recently reorganized the place, so let me show you around real quick. Man, we're gonna strike it rich with this. Right?"

No marines? Then he'd just... He balled his fist, ready to strike, when curiousity overcame him. Just what were they doing here? In a matter of seconds, he changed his expression to a goofy grin and seemingly relaxed.
"Right man! Heh, who could let such a great opportunity pass?"
Shut up and tell me your plans!

Oh, no troubles, just some guy Ajax knows. He put his gun away and started walking away.

"Those stupid residents don't even know the goldmine they're standing on, and all they care about are the stupid jellyfish." Suddenly, a man dressed similiarly to the first appeared, carrying an unconcious child. "Who's that?"

The second man grinned stupidly. "This kid was spying on us a while ago. I thought I would put him to work or something."

Nabie watched Ajax and the two men talk and nearly slipped in the slippery jellyfish mess on theground.

Van turned around when he heard about the kid.

" Man, what they're doing must be important if they're willing to attack a spying kid." he thought, returning to his hiding place,

"What if they find me? Eh, I'll just kill em." he said.

So that's what they did to spys?
To a kid?
Ajax would have shuddered, it was just that it didn't touch his heart as much. He had worked with ´men who had done a lot more cruel things.
"I'm pretty new to this all.." He said, feigning interest.
"So, when you say gold, do you mean actual gold?"
This'd certainly interest the marine... It didn't look like they knew of it. Maybe it'd get him a bonus after this job was... done... He felt a hint of sadness, but surpressed it professionally.

"Of course real gold. What other kinds of goldmines are there," the man laughed. "Here you go." After leading Ajax to his "position," he left him and returned to his own place. About a couple of minutes after the man left, two small children could be heard sneaking around behind a bush near Ajax.

Somewhere else, a guard was patrolling the area very close to where Van was hiding.

Well, this was getting boring...
But hey, real gold. He'd have to report on that...
His eyes darted to the bushes, where noises could be heard.
...Yeah, he'd report that later...
He was moving fast and sly, it didn't take him a second before he pushed the two kids to the ground, holding them there with one hand each.
"Shh! Quiet, you idiots! Don't you dare scream!"
He dragged them a little away from the mine, deeper into the forest where they couldn't be seen. Now, he'd have to ask them some questions...

The kids started crying, being dragged by Ajax.

"Is someone there?" the guard near Van asked at the nothingness in front of him. He couldn't see anyone, but his sixth sense was telling him that something was off. He pulled out his rifle and poked around.

Nabie watched from the sidelines and decided to do something about the kid. Besides, she was getting bored. She pulled out a needle and aimed it at the one man guarding. The man dropped to the ground, depressed. Quietly, Nabie slipped past the man while he was on the ground sighing.

"I said shut up! I won't do anything if cou're good kids and tell me a little about the reason you were there. For your little friend?"
Ajax wasn't good with kids. Even when he himself had been a kid, all he had been doing was beating the other kids up. With the exception of his sister.

Van was getting nervous, If the guard caught him, he'd get discovered and the island would go up in an uproar. He grabbed his guns and walked deeper into the shadows. When the guard came around, he hit him with his pistol.

When he hit the ground, Van kicked him and knocked him out. Seeing this could be troublesome, Van took the guards weapons.

Van saw what seemed like Ajax pulling kids into the forest, but ignored it. He decided to see what was going on.

The two kids immediately stopped crying. "Ha! Like we would tell an enemy! I bet you thought that we really were scared, but now that you're away from your place, another one of us can help Toru get away!" the boy laughed.

"Mark, you can't tell them our plan," the girl frowned.

"It's okay. We'll just beat him up and go help Jake!"

Nabie snuck past into the place she saw the kid get taken away. "What is this place?"

While Nabie was inside the building, outside... the man who was stung by her needle was sobbing on the ground. Another guard walked up to the depressed man and tapped him on the shoulders. "You okay, man?"

Van snuck out of the shadows and knocked out the other guard. He looked at the guard on the ground.

"Pathetic." he thought.

He snuck into the building, behind Nabie

(That's cruel of you... Only i don't think Ajax minds... at all... He's just that much of an asshole.)

"Do I look like I care for your stupid little friend?"
Ajax cracked his knuckles. Did he look like he minded beating kids up?
Heck, if they were in the way, he'd move them.
"Boy, you'd better go help him now, before I decide I wanna let my aggression out on you! I've got bussiness to attend to!"
This'd interest the marine, oh yes it would.
Suddenly, he thought of something. If the marine came here, wouldn't that mean Nabie would be arrested?
So? a little voice inside his head said, who cares, she's a pirate.
Damn right she was! Just like Slycer! And they had to be brought to justice. Like all the others! Right?... Right?
He huffed angrily and turned around.
"Gotta find my captain..."

Van was entering the building when he heard something. Other guards started gathering around the one he beat up. If they spotted him now, they'd follow him to Nabie. He couldn't have that. He ran outside when the guards saw him. He made sure he was seen, running down the road and into an alley where he guards followed. The all aimed they're guns at him. Van took this chance. Taking out his guns, he ran to a wall and jumped off, giving him extra height and he started shooting downwards. When he landed on the other side, The guards all fell, one by one. He then looked around the corners. To see if there were any other guards. There weren't.

"I have to get back to the building. Now where was it?" he asked himself.

Nabie noticed Van appear and disappear from behind her to take care of the guards. "Hm. My decision in choosing people are still perfect," she joked. She heard a kid weeping below her. "An underground passageway?" The girl searched and found a small entrance under the rug. She kept the rug up and the entrance up so that her two crew members could know where she went and disappeared down.

"Prisun, it seems as though some people have entered our hideout," a bearded man reported to a man who had a scarf hiding the lower part of his face.

"I see. Thanks for the report, Basco." Then he turned around to find that nobody was behind him. "It seems as though Werade already decided to make a move."

The man named Werade was at the top floor and he quickly closed the entrance Nabie went down and covered the area back again with a rug before going outside to survey the area, watching carefully with his red eyes.

((I couldn't think of a name so I named all these people after some type of... food name... or brand... idk. Can you guess what they were? lol))

Van reached the building again, only to find some other guys there. He held his guns, thinking of a smart way in. If these guys were as strong as they looked, he would have a tough time.

He hid in a corner and picked up an old can. He saw a second alley and threw the can, hoping to use this distraction to get in.

Man, how he hated inner conflicts. Despised them. Deeply.
not that he was having one. No, not him. He knew what he was and he knew what he wanted.
He smacked both kids, not really hard though. Just enough to make them hold their heads and whimper a little.
Why he did that, after being about to leave?
To clear things up. Not with the kids, but in his own head.
Other people would hit their own forhead, he hit others for the same effect.
Normally, that worked. At least for a while.
"Kshh, go away."
He started ignoring the kids from then on, and got out his baby den den mushi instead.
After a while, it came to life, and a bored voice said.
"Marine headquarters."
Ajax lit himself a cigarette.
"How fast can you get here?"
"Who's speaking."
"Name's Ajax Sinclair. And you'd better listen well now, because this should interest you..."

((oh by the way, the Basco, Prisun, and Werade guys are on like the third level down.))

The man named Werade spotted a man and a couple of children. He grabbed the man's den den mushi and threw it far away into the bushes. "Looks like I can have some fun this time around. Lately, the only challeges we've been getting were some stupid townspeople who thougth they could defeat us." He grabbed one of the child by the collar of his shirt and laughed. "Is this your pet?"

"Did you hear something?" A bunch of stronger guards moved towards the noise of the can, leaving the room empty.

Ajax looked at the place where his den den mushi had been a second ago.
Not that he cared much about telling the marine, but how dare anyone interrupt him while he was speaking.
Without a word, he stood up, seemingly relaxed.
This impression changed when he punched the stranger in the face.
"Who do you think you are, interrupting me? Well, doesn't matter. You're gonna die now."
