It would make no sense to kill Shanks off right now. So I doubt something like that would happen. Anyone else noticed on the last panel with Shanks holding the straw hat, theres a note that says "The finale arrives!" ? I guess the arc will end in the next 1-2 ... 3 chapters at most ... after that though, I am not sure what will happen with Luffy.

What's the new chapter that came out? I can't remember the number...

-Ben Beckmen has never fired his gun because doing so would create a black hole capable of destroying the universe
-Ben Beckmen is capable of defeating chuck Norris
-Some beings can survive the vacuum of space but Beckmen can BREATH the vacuum of space
-Divideing by zero has no effect on Ben Beckmen
-Ben Beckmen already knows where one piece is but does not need it
-Ben Beckmen already fufuilled all of the straw hats goals before them but hasnt told anyone

But the one thing for sure is, Yassop, Lucky Roux & Benn must be extremely powerful.

Who knows. I think that generally in One Piece its hard to call some1 the strongest, even in a profession.
Benn may be stronger than Marco, to put it that way. Shanks is most likely stronger than Ben physically wise (he is the captain after all) but Ben probably is better in other skills (shooter)
