| Well, it's official. I have a new obsession; it's the manga series titled "Hikaru no Go". It revolves around an oriental game similiar to chess, but involving more thought to each move, which they refer to as "Hands". This concept may seem boring but if you start from the first chapter it's easy to get hooked. I'm right now reading it on Mangafox.com. | |

| Actually, one of the characters that appears briefly is part of the shougi club but was better at go then the characters that actually liked the game. He was neat. | |

| Shougi Club guy, Kaga Akira Touya, my favorite character. He's pro level in strength, and he's so cute! The Main character, Hikaru Shindo Fujiwara Sai, a ghost from I think the heishi era, he helps Hikaru play the game. | |

| Later he tries to play himself, and I think eventually he plays well on his own. I'm only on the 3rd volume right now. | |

| He does. He gets better on his own, and starts playing by himself. Sai I think makes comments to the reader regarding his strategy. | |

| No, I'm not obsessed, but I have several wide-spaced Shounen Jumps, and there are several Hikaru no Go segments. Akira is able to beat someone at Go without seeing the board. He is beastly. I can't find one I was looking for. But Hikaru goes against a really good Korean player, and can hold his own, without Sai. | |

| Ah, see when I saw it in shounen jump a long time ago it was at a tournament time, and I bored of it. But starting at the beginning does get one hooked onto anything. | |

| Yeah, but it's usually more of a battle of patience. If you can pull through the slow start, you can find some gold. | |

| Like in every RPG... Baten Kaitos starts so slowly, but once you actually class up one character, it becomes so much better. | |

| Then sometimes things throw a fast one on you and you don't like it. That happened to me in Disgaea....I loved it for the first few weeks, then I got a game over. Then another one. And another one. It's not like you are taken to the title screen then load where you were, no; you are thrown to the very beginning of the campaign. I wasn't that far anyways but it was disappointing. | |

| True. I still manage to stay addicted to Fire Emblem even after I got to floor 9 of the Lagdou Ruins, and then one of my favorite characters got permanently killed in two hits. It infuriated me, but I still love them. | |

| Fire Emblem beats Disgaea any day. Because FE is actually tactics rather than grind. And FE uses a leveling system that works for turn-based strategy, unlike Disgaea that uses a leveling system exactly like a live-action RPG. The Tactics are a disguise. | |
