Classic games?

This is a thread to talk about your favorite older games... no, super mario 64 I'm talkin' bout nes, super nes (or super nintendo/snes as normal folks call it), atari, and arcade.
My favorites is definately Gauntlet, one of the pioneering series, as it was the first where four people could play at the same time. The wizard, the warrior, the valkyrie, and the elf might not have been the best/most unique characters but definately a fun play. The best part is that it had a nice continuing, until Seven Sorrows.

PaperBoy for the NES. You delivere papers, but everything, and I mean everything, wants you dead. Even the Grim Reaper himself want's a shot at this kid, along with lawn mowers, tornadoes, sewer monsters, old women, skateboarders, dogs, and people putting on pants. If you can get past all the obstacles and finish your block, you get to participate at a bonus stage for additional points. I loved this game growing up, it was simple but fun as Hell. I really pity all those people who aren't happy unless someones head is being blown off every other second.

yeah... Gauntlet wasn't horribly bloody either, it was more of a teamwork kinda game.
I also loved donkey kong, but as the marios went on they got worse...

Prototype FTW!!!! Dang...I do need that, don't I?

The oldest I got was a PS1. That was the oldest system I enjoyed.

Yeah, well PS1 is not classic, no matter how had the fanboys want...

Also PunchOut!! I don;t need to say a damn thing about it.

Oh, wait--Tetris. My dad plays it as much as I am on the computer. Well, almost...

Ugh, tetris. And then there is always the ever so classic game, ghost n goblins.

Pokemon Crystal...oh, fun times...I also like FireRed. I know, it's for GBA but it's still a great tribute to the original!

What is your quarrel with Tetris?

hmm Im hesitant to rear my ugly head in this one, tensions seem high with out my help but since no one brought it up the first Sonic Game was a legend in its time

Yeah. also street fighter 2. Not street fighter 1 though.

tetris basicaly hasnt changed since it first came out yet its only become more popular... thats a trend I notice with some games

Castlevania one! it doesn't get more classic than that for me it was the game that started a long love affair with the series that ended bitterly with portrait of ruin
