History:
Being a half-giant, Nova was often teased as a child about his size and the fact he didn’t fit through most doors. He never knew his father, but his human mother raised him to be confidant in himself and to be kind. Even though his peers were cruel, he never failed to be optimistic and carry on because of his mother.
As a young man, he met Adrienne at a lumber yard he worked at. Adrienne took a very particular interest in Nova’s work ethic and his history. After befriending him and finally convincing him to leave his mediocre life behind, he made sure that Nova was accepted and pulled out his great-potential as a fighter. He also became very close to Adrienne’s wife and children. They were the closest thing he had to family after his mother died of scarlet fever.
After serving as Adrienne’s first mate, he now serves as his daughter’s first mate. Not only does he advise her, he looks after her and serves as a bit of a best friend, and a surrogate father.
Personality:
Nova is a man that puts duty before his own wishes. He is a very faithful and loyal servant and friend. Nova was never a very ambitious man, but he loves helping friends out reaching their ambitions. He is a very compassionate and sensitive man. He’s what you’d call a gentle giant.
Honesty and simplicity are key aspects in Nova’s personality. He is always one to tell it like it is. Although, he is never blunt or rude about anything. He has very keen sense of tact and is usually able to get a point across without raising any unnecessary tension.
