Well, this is my first attempt on a weapon...hope you like it:
weapon name: Wailing Ice Princess
description: The scabbard has a crystal white coloration, golden kanji of the name imprinted on the side. The blade is thin, and is an ice blue color, with pure white swirls imprinted on it. in the butt of the scabbard there are two key chains: the first one being a snowflake shaped key chain, and the second being a cat face.
weapon special abilities: The ability is quite simple: with one cut from its blade, and the ice it emits starts freezing you from the inside out, the only thing though is that it has to be a big gash, and small ones only freezes the skin part. Another power is that with a swing of the katana, it emits an ice-like blade that upon contact with something (liquid, gas, or solid), it can cut and/or freeze through it.
History: This katana was passed down through generations of North Sea Pirates, the only wielders that can hold it and not get frozen to death. It is said that this sword was forged by Yuki-onna (Snow Woman), created specifically for the delicate hands of ruthless Pirate woman of the North Sea. The sword was actually named after the first wielder of the sword, Princess Konayuki, Captain of the Cold Hearted Pirates, and the ship The Snow, as well as Delia’s ancestor. The reason it was named like that is because of a story pertaining the young Captain.
As usual, instead of the normal storms of the sea, in a certain part of the ocean it was always a snow storm, man-made by the Captain herself, since she had eaten the Chill-Chill Fruit when she was just a little girl, making her what she is today: a cold, iron-fisted, and commanding Captain. She showed opposing Ships no mercy, attacking them after they attack her ship, taking their treasures and anything they needed, turning the ship into a glacier after she was done with it.
The reason for the storms was because she was looking for someone, that someone being her brother, who she adored and loved so much, and was the one who requested the making of the sword. When she found out about his ship being found up in flames near this place, she set off, staying in the same place where his ship was found, waiting for him to return…
That had been 20 years ago from when she started. She gained a bounty on her head, the reason being that some of the ships she had destroyed and looted were from the Navy, the bounty reaching the 200 mil, and still steadily increasing for every ship she destroyed.
At the end, after 30 more years, her ship was surrounded, the Navy and Pirates alike wanting her finished, the Navy’s reason being that they couldn’t afford any more dead men, and the pirates’ reasons being that they wanted to get their hands on her treasures that she had accumulated over the years.
Her men, instead of running away and leaving her in the hands of the others, they stayed and fought along her side till the very end, knowing that they could never find someone as strong, faithful, and at the least just as beautiful as their captain.
They showed no mercy, and one by one her men went down, a calm expression on their faces for they were dying with the honor of protecting their captain. As they slaughtered the very last member of her crew, she stepped in, her beloved sword in her hand, and tears swelling up in her eyes. She fought stupendously, her fighting skills never wearing off, killing off the pirates and the naval officers one by one, saying “thank you” every time she did, for the sake of her crew that died for her, tears flowing down her cheeks.
At last, she did it. She was able to kill every single Pirate and Naval Officer that got in her way, repaying her crew, her family, and her brother. The victory though, was short-lived, for she had also gained gashes and stabs during her fight. As she laid there taking her last breathes, she placed two of her fingers in her mouth and whistled, calling for the Snowy Owl that will send her sword and a note back to the island where it was forged, and the note containing the name of the sword and who would possess such fine sword.
Without hesitation, the Owl lifted off, ignoring the storm that was still raging on, slowly settling after each breathe the captain took…
After a few more minutes, the storm faded, the sea was calm, and that is the end of Princess Konayuki’s life, and the beginning of Captain Crimson Snow’s legend.
They say that her body was found and buried next to her brother’s grave in their village, and others say that the Sea refused to giver her back, her body never leaving the same place she stayed for most of her life. While they are still debating this, they can agree to this: Her treasures were never found.
Pirates are still looking for it after all this time, some dying in the process, and others giving up after months of searching through the cold waters of the Snowy Graveyard, the name given to the place where she died, since anyone who passed through there would certainly have to face random Snow Storms from no where.
As for the sword, after it reached its destination, the village was suddenly attacked by pirates who were trying to obtain the priceless sword that belonged to the Princess, but never found it since it was drafted off to a neighboring island that was hidden. There, the sword was handed down to what was said were the “royal descendants” of the princess, even if they weren’t by blood. One by one, the bearers of the swords were picked by the very sword, the one possessing it being able to recall the Princess’s last moments, even if they never heard about her.
Right now, the sword is being wield by Captain Clearwater, and will continue to wield it until it is passed down to the next “royal descendant.”
All right, this is one of my weapons. I hope the history wasn't that long...and that it is accepted.
