Name in Japanese:nemui nemui no mi(Sleepy Sleepy Fruit)

Capabilities:Allows the user to steal the energy of others to keep himself up.The closer the person(s) is the easier the user can steal their energy.The user cant take too much energy because the more energy he takes the weaker his ability to steal energy becomes.If people are robbed of all their energy they automatically go to sleep.Some can resist the users powers but cant when he doesn't have much energy for himself.When the user falls a sleep the power to get energy cannot be resisted by people around him(The user needs to steal energy to stay awake).The user only goes to sleep when hes out of energy.
So people will get weak and drowsy just by touching him for 1-2 seconds and will fall asleep 5-15 seconds,but if the user has too much energy than the opposite happens with a touch and he gives energy.
An experienced user of the fruit may be able to make other peoples limbs go to sleep for a varying amount of time by hitting the limb in just the right place with his fingers.
If the user has too much energy and does not give it away then all the energy just gets released around him(basically just wasted)and he goes into a coma for a varying amount of time.

i once made an FMA roleplay. Someone made this same concept a homonculi power and killed me. It was invincible. Then again, it was blades of bone. This is a Devil Fruit with no listed drawbacks so far. The only one is no swimiing.

basically that means that he wont be able to use his powers anymore for a(Long)while if he uses them too recklessly

How about when people touch him involintarily they get energy. If he is too reckless he'll have to much energy and burst.

But, it's still a good drawback. Since it's so powerful, it needs two or more. The bursting and the others can get energy. It's only fair.
But, if this energy could only do practical things that extra carbs could, that would be interesting, yet that's not what you're going for.

I mean like EXPLODE. Maybe release all the energy and fall into a coma-like state. Against him should go for other people ACCIDENTALLY touching him. Not after he's got energy to spare.
So, I suggest this character have this power with the limitations, then have a custom weapon as a fallback. Say-maybe I could fight you when this is all through.

your concept of energy is ill defined in the sense that I am not sure to what variety of energy you are referring to.........

Yeah, thats why he falls asleep if he doesn't get enough, your theory would mean he'd just...die.

Yeah, the coma-like state was the middle ground.

Coma causing in general seems really unfair because touching someone for 20 seconds is like, 2 posts...so you could basically kill someone that fast.

But the thing is I told him that anyone accidentally touching him at any time receive energy rather than he does.
Well, selective hearing or I wasn't clear.

Maybe it'd be like Rogue or something, only skin, but then that'd ignore the 'aura' he gives off, but that also really makes him hard to want in your crew.

No, it was:
Reckless use will give him excess energy and "Burst", realesing the energy harmlessly and he'll fall into a coma-like state.
If Anyone touches him Accidentally will receive his energy at all times. Not when he's got to much, I said at all times. But he didn't listen.
