| Name: Oxford D. Rush “Rushie”
Age: 18 years old
Bounty: 1,500,000 beli
Species: Human
Occupation: Technician, Blacksmith, Swordsman
Allegiance: Pirate
Home Village/Ocean: South Blue
Appearance: He’s a tall 6 foot guy with brown skin, a grey train hat, a tropical shirt with a tie around the neck, dark blue pants that are not too below the ankles but about covers them, combat boots, and a black zipped up hooded sweater with the sleeves wrapped up to his elbows. He also wears sun glasses to block the sunlight from his sensitive eyes.
History: Ever since he was a kid, Oxford D. Rush idolizes his father, Andrew D. France. He was a wonderful pirate, using kenjutsu to slice away any marine or any other pirate out of the picture. At the age of 6, Rushie began learning kenjutsu from his father. For all of 10 years, he taught him from the basics of kenjutsu, to the movements, and even to the advance techiniques. But that’s not all that Rushie has learned. France taught him how to create and take care of weapons and on how to handle dealing with any machine he encounters. While on his trips, France received a Devil Fruit. He wanted to give it to his son for his 16th birthday. Rushie received the Devil Fruit as a present, but he never really paid much attention to it considering he hates fruit, thinking it’s all girly and what-not. But on one unfortunate day, France’s pirate crew has been ambushed by marine officers and a marine admiral. For his son’s safety, France hid Rushie inside the ship so the marines won’t spot him. France fought his hardest to defend his crew, but sadly the marine officers caught most of the crew, France included, and left a few to die. Rushie came out to see what was going on, to later discover that few of the crew was left and have been bad injured, nearly a half dead. For nearly a month with all food gone and nothing to eat, Rushie have been starving to death, his muscles has about to be shriveling up, until he notices the devil fruit hiding away. He though what the heck and started to eat the fruit. One bite was enough to figure out that the fruit tasted horrible. But considering that he’s on his last leg, he continued eating the fruit. Soon after Rushie have been having these weird effects happening to him. He couldn’t breath, eyes felt like they were about to pop out, he felt numb. He soon fainted onto the floor. When he woke up, Rushie noticed that the whole room was covered in silvery liquid matter. He didn’t know what was going on so he stood up and walked outside to get some air. When he looked back he noticed the liquid follow him. He never really understood what was going on until he saw a card on the desk inside the room he came from. He walked over and looked inside the card to see what it was. In it was his dad’s handwriting telling what the devil fruit was and that he wished him a happy birthday. For figuring out what had happened, Rushie was convinced on what he has to do. Use his newly powers together with his father’s kenjutsu skills to rescue his dad from the marine headquarters.
Personality: Rushie's a Realist, he never judges what is going on, only sees it as it is. He's also pretty laid back and not the one to really get easily startled. He's not as much a real attention seeker either (except for the fact that when he fights a majority of his victims get badly poisoned, hence his bounty, so the attention goes to him) but when he notices something is going on, he snoops in to find out. He's very flirtatious; Rushie loves to go and impress him to the ladies. But in a way, he is also gentle to the ladies and protects them from harm. For being a laid back guy, Rushie's not too indulged into fighting, only to show off his strength and for defense. He's not much of a talkative person, he keeps his mind to himself and gets away from most problems. Rushie can be aggressive in a fight, yelling, provoking, and what not. He tries his best to defeat his enemies quickly, so he can be pushy. But all in all, Rushie is pretty calm-minded. Focusing in on what's going on in his surroundings. He loves staring at the sky, drifting his mind away into the breeze of the ocean, just basically relaxing, keeping it cool. Rushie's a Realist, he never judges what is going on, only sees it as it is.
Flag: a regular skull and crossbones with vines growing out of the eyesockets and a bush growing on the top of it's head
Ship: Ash-wood Crash
Devil Fruit: Suigin Suigin No Mi (Mercury Mercury Fruit) Type: Logia Effect: The user is able to create, produce and manipulate the element Mercury. User cannot be harmed by it (mercury poisoning etc.).
Special Abilities: Advanced Kenjutsu
Learned Techniques (Keep it 1-25): • Basic mercury manipulation- Rushie extract, model, and manipulate mercury at his will. Be it a puddle of mercury flowing from underneath his feet, to tentacles spewing from mercury, to forming mercury under his feet to pose as skates for faster transportation and more. • Suigin Suigin no Bunshin- Rushie produces mercury underneath his foot to push himself away to evade an upcoming attack. He then produces mercury to form up a doppelganger in front of him to pose as a scapegoat for the attack. • Suigin Suigin no Yuuen Shouheki- Rushie produces mercury to form a thick barrier around himself. (Very unstable, used to block upcoming all-around attacks. • Suigin Suigin no Butoukai- Rushie produces several balls of mercury and issues them as attack missles. (doesn’t explode, doesn’t hurt, just sticks) • Suigin Suigin no Dageki- (Used if mercury is on victim) Rushie issues mercury to grow and trap whoever it is caught on. (probably suffocation. If suffocation is not allowed then it traps the person in mercury.) • Subeta Baisuu- Suigin Hitoshirenu Rakka- Rushie slashs the opponent several times. In each slash he quickly shoots a small drop of mercury onto the slash cut of the victim. (Not meant to inflict mercury poisoning, just issues temporary pain and poisoning inside the body system) • Rinji no jutsu- Suigin Suigin no Doragon- With a well thorough focus, Rushie readies his katana for an ultimate deadly multiple slash attack. While focusing, a mercury made dragon figure emerges from Rushie to prepare for the attack. Doing the attack, the dragon figure infuses onto the sword, with both the sword and the dragon slashing the victim. (Not meant to inflict mercury poisoning, just issues temporary pain and poisoning inside the body system)
Weapons/Items: Katana
Goals: Rescue his father from the marines

| Personality dos and don’ts: DO NOT give very short ((one sentence/one line)) descriptions DO explain the many facets of your character’s personality in detail ((it dose not say you NEED a paragraph but have some standards!)) DO NOT use words that generalize like “emo” or “nice” there is so much more detail you can go in to! DO explain, if they are nice explain HOW they are nice and who they are nicest to, are they nice to everyone? These are the sort of questions to ask yourself DO NOT over look personality and explain details in other categories, the personality is JUST as important as the history! DO stay in character! Your personality governs how you act but not how your char acts or responds to other situations! They have their own personalities and they are NOT you! DO NOT make a character you can not act like, if you are prone to yelling a super laid back character will be difficult for you to pull off Need Ideas? Here are things you can include: -likes -dislikes -hobbies / interests -outlook -relationships with / opinions of other characters -what would someone who has just met him/her think about them? -what would someone who has known them for three months think of them? -what do they think of themselves? -how do they react to certain sorts of people ((hyper, depressed, annoying, hostile ECT.)) -how do they view certain situations ((success, failure ECT,)) OUTLOOK: include what your characters outlook is, for example I (Rasher204) am a pessimistic idealist, here are the four outlooks, please read all of them as your characters may not just be an optimist or just be a pessimist Optimist: An Optimist see the world only for the good in it, they always look on the bright side and rarely rationalize, they almost never give up and have the strongest wills, they see the glass as "half full" their gong ho attitude is often characterized as "courage" and "determination" because they honestly believe they can do most anything if they try hard enough and do not think before they act optimists are proven to be more successful because of their outlook, they believe every cloud has a silver lining and live by that belief Pessimist: Pessimists see the world for its bad qualities, they are often the first to back out of situations but can always rationalize, they see the glass as “half empty” their calculative, doubtful/distrusting and somewhat cynical nature is often characterized as “logical thinking” and “street smarts” they always think before they rush in to a dangerous situation and know their limits, though they tend to underestimate themselves a pessimist is prone to quit an extremely difficult endeavor if it is not vital, they always expect to fail but like to think of that as being realistic contrary to popular belief pessimists are rarely pleasantly surprised Realist: A realist is someone who sees the world from a practical standpoint, they see things for what they are and almost never interpret like an optimist or pessimist would, but rather simply judge a situation based on what they know to be true only, a realist would rather look at the odds then go with gut feeling like an optimist or pessimist would, in the glass half full/empty scenario they would say “some one is going to half to wash that either way” Realists make good tacticians because they are not easily influenced by raw feeling alone, they are often confused with pessimists for their rationalizations but are generally more level headed Idealist: An idealist is someone who always sees the world as having room for improvement, they see the world for what it is but unlike a pessimist they are not put off by it, instead they resolve to make the world a better place for everyone, most idealists tend to be leaders because they are good at influencing people or at least getting them to think about making a difference, most activists are idealists, with the glass half empty/full analogy they would say "it may be half empty but it dose not have to be" they are often confused with optimists but tend to be more down to earth an outlook has nothing to do with how you treat people, if you want a crazy or malevolent character then you have some options PLEASE READ ALL OF THEM - Spoiler:
sociopath: a sociopath is someone who dose not care about how others feel at all, they have no need for human contact, love or social interaction, they only see things in terms of their own goals and don’t mind using people if they can get what they want in the end, a sociopath has no empathy can not sympathize with others, to a sociopathic person other people's feelings are tools to get what you want with or toys to play with
Narcissistic: a narcissist is completely self absorbed, all they care about is themselves and what they need/want unlike a sociopath they need social interaction and love but are selfish and only value their own needs to a narcissist there are only 2 people on earth, themselves and everyone else and they are more important then the rest
Psychopath: a Psychopath is driven completely by there own emotions, they can not control their impulses at all, if they get mad at someone they will attack them, regardless of who they are or how useful/vital they might be they rarely regret anything and tend to put themselves in danger on emotional impulse
Sadistic: a sadist LOVES to hurt people, they smile at the thought of torturing people and always abuse who they love they do not see the difference between their own selfish want to hurt people and love and they don’t want to, they live to hurt and hurt to live
Masochistic: the opposite of a sadist they LOVE to get hurt, they will hurt themselves for fun and crave abuse
Sadomasochist: a combination of sadistic and masochistic they think pain is a gift and giving is just as fun as receiving
Delusional: dose not perceive reality correctly, always thinks they are someone/something that they are not and confuses everyday things for fantastical entities, lives in there own little world in which blowing up a car might be something like slaying the evil dragon, tends to hallucinate
Multiple personalities: self explanatory but also more prone to mood swings and dangerous behavior then people think, many times the personalities have no idea that the others exist or hate them completely
Schizophrenic: these are the ones that hear voices and do what the voices tell them, the voices are often their id (inner most primal desires) or extreme emotions

| Then there is only one thing to do. Go and attack both wikipedia and dictionary.com, but say nothing, give them no chance to respond, no chance to protect themselves. | |
