Character Information

Appearance: Average height for a ten-year-old, so about four feet, with long blond hair that goes to her shoulders. Very thin like alot of children her age, bony on the limbs. Her skin is pale, her eyes are blue and sad. She wears a purple dress that goes to her ankles, as well as white gloves over her hands. Carries a staff that is two feet taller than her, she keeps it in her hands most of the time behind her back.

Personality: Ruth is rather quiet, and hesitates before speaking, so her message doesn't get out much. Kindof nervous, so she stutters a bit during the times she speaks. If you can get past that, there is a nice and friendly person that rarely sees the light of day.

History: Ruth Rosaline Guiseppe was born to a middle-class family near a city. Her father, Stefano Guiseppe, was protective of his child; so she didn't go outside for much other than cleric school. So, most of the time she learned to cook with her mother, Claudia Guiseppe. Ruth learned to be the best cook on her street, so friends of the parents would come over on sundays with their children. After ruth was done cooking, she would play wit the children, which were her only friends. For her tenth birthday, her family and friends bought her a staff named innis, which she could use later on. Ruth liked it, and thanked her friends and parents a thousand times. All was good. All was good.

Well, all good things end. But why for such a sweet and young soul? Life is unfair. One day robbers broke into the house, looking for things or people to steal. Stefano told ruth to lock the door, which she did, so ruth didn't know what happened to her parents until she unlocked the door after the sounds went away. Why must such a young and innocent soul's eyes suffer? She saw her parents on the floor, dead. Ruth cried over this for days, until finally she decided to take her staff and find some people that will care about her like her parents and not be killed by bad people.

Physical: Ray is thin, but has strong back and shoulder muscles from working with a pick. He has a cute, but handsome face and alluring eyes. However, Ray has extremely white skin, and while he has a Chinese build and face, his skin is the color of a Europeans, but it is slowly getting darker.
Clothes: Ray wears a white shirt and a yellow jacket with black seams over it. The white shirt has a yellow lightning bolt on it, while the jacket has a flash of white on the back. Ray also wears a pair of yellow pants with 3 white lines going down each side. His AT’s are black with a yellow line going along the side, the wheels are yellow with a black circle.

History:
Ray was born and raised in a mining community in northern China. This community actually lived in the mines it worked. The citizens lived a hard life illuminated by dim lanterns that shined weakly through the ever present dust. The people of this community rare saw the sun. Instead they spent their lives mining for the measly wages they needed to survive. Consequently, the people of this community all had pale skin from a lack of sunlight; they also have uncanny night vision and are adept at navigating in the dark.
Ray’s family was one of the poorest in the village, they had been plagued with sickness brought upon by the ever-present dust and had therefore been unable to earn their wages. However, this family still held big dreams, dreams of escaping the confines of the mines. The family was blessed with a son; a child that they vowed would not live out its lives in the mines. They brought the newborn baby out under the sun, sacrificing a whole day’s work to give it a few minutes of the sun’s warmth. The tiny infant reached its hands towards the burning ball in the sky as it was spirited away back down into the depths of the mines.
Ray grew up in a constant state of hunger and exhaustion as he worked in the mines. However he was a strong worker and brought money into the household and food to the table. Ray’s parents secretly hid a stash of money that accumulated into a small fortune over the years. Using this stash, they arranged to have Ray sent from the mining community, across the wide expanses of China’s land, over the blue seas to the island nation of Japan. There he would live and get an education.
However, since his parents had never left the community, or their parents before them, Ray was ill informed about life outside of his home. He did not know about the luxuries common to an average person’s life, only a few rumors that floated down into the mines every now and again. Rays adventure into the “real world” would teach him many things, and Ray, while ignorant, had a bright mind and is able to learn much about his surroundings with but a glance.

Personality: Ray can be best described as Naïve. The smallest things excite him and awe him. However, he has a happy-go lucky attitude that causes people to gravitate towards him despite his odd complexion. His cute face and foreign appeal has attracted many girls, but Ray has little interest in the opposite sex, for now. What he is interested in is Air Treks. Ever since Ray saw Air Treks, he had dreamed about using them to get closer to the Sun. Ray LOVES the sun, he loves laying in it, looking at it (his eyes have become accustomed to both bright light and dim light) and especially feeling its warmth on his skin. Ray is also a bit of a clean freak after spending half his life caked in dust. Ray is pretty much OCD towards keeping his stuff, and the things around him, dust-free. He almost always has a duster in his pack, and has many more in his apartment at home.

SunSpot: Ray’s AT’s harness the heat gained from friction to power powerful light filaments on the bottom of his AT’s these create an underglow effect while he is riding. However, when his AT’s are lifted, they act like an extremely bright spotlight. When combined with the Flame Regalia, many say they have the brightness of the sun, others say they are ever brighter. Ray uses his AT’s to blind opponent’s at the most inopportune times. When Ray obtains the Flame Regalia, these AT”s will be modded to harness the flames to power the spotlight to much a higher brightness giving it the power to even hurt eyes through closed eyelids.

Signature Tricks:

Flash Dash: Ray dashes ahead of the opponent, then he lifts his back leg, shining the spotlight directly into their face. This will blind them for a little bit, but he is fairly off balance.

Sun’s Rays: Ray starts to spin, then lifts a leg, illuminating the area and blinding anyone who looks at him.

Goal: To gain the power of the sun by obtaining the Flame Regalia mixed with his own modifications.
