Once a week, a staff member shall post in this thread with tips, bonus guides, breaking canon news, and filler just to keep us all entertained. Replies are discouraged; any replies will be deleted and then responded to via pm. In other words, it's easier to just pm us if you want to contribute, discuss, or inquire.

Week 1

BREAKING NEWS!!!!

The Stone Hound marine base has been raided! The marines are not releasing any details, but inside sources suggest that up and coming pirates such as the Steel Village are to blame. It is common knowledge that Stone Hound marine base is one of the three largest quarries in the world, with the second highest yield of any quarry in the world. Prices in stone are expected to rise as one of the largest quarries and its equipment have apparently been severely damage. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide more information at this time.

People Places and Things
Hello, this agent L, reporting from the Alabastian Kingdom. Recently, a Commodore stations at the southern port infiltrated the eighth fleet of the Blood Sea Pirates and recovered a large shipment of Dance Powder. Conmodore, now Rear Admiral, Kin denied an interview, commenting  "Get that —ing snail out of my face". The recovered shipment had over 80kilotons, with an estimated black market value of over 60 Billion Beli! In related news, the vicious Captain Yo Yu Sen was captured as a result of the raid. The terror-striking 180 million beli pirate and his crew of cut throats were purchasing the powder for undetermined reasons. Authorities believe it is part of a greater plot orchestrated by the revolutionary army, but locals say otherwise. "[he] was planning on drowning the island" says local bartender Alexander Graves. "He told me he liked be liquor and that if I wanted to keep making it I should leave the island for a few years for nature to do its work. I think he was going to flood the island with a massive storm, leaving it a barren wreck. Not that it isn't already." This reporter thinks the man was a little drunk, but his testimony provides some insight.

Training Tips
"Hello warriors, tots, and wimps looking for advice, this is Agent B and today's topic is a group of new world pirates called the Stone Fist Destroyers. These pirates continue to elude marines with a unique combination of they're close-combat-oriented traps and devastating physical prowess. What do you think V?"
"The Stone Fist Pirates remind me of the classic heroes of legend when it comes to battle. My personal analysis is that these pirates strive to focus in their brute strength to overwhelm their foes. Secondary investment goes into their skill and agility in order to ensure both accuracy and power. Combining strength and skill training allows close-combat fighters to break through defenses and lessen the foe's ability to evade. Combining strength and agility allows a seasoned warrior manipulate his foes physical attacks through expert grappling for the purposes of disarming, evasion, and counter attacks. Combining skill and agility allows a reasonably intelligent warrior to evade and counter mid and long-range attacks, as well as providing some useful utility maneuvers up close. The pirates and in particular Stone Fist himself understands these facts and focuses on that strategy and its counter-strategies in his training. Any comment B?"
"I agree with your assessment. And as a reminder to everyone out there, the reason we use pirates as examples is because they have to be doing something right to not be caught, and just because they do it doesn't mean it's bad. It just means it's misused. So keep that in mind while training this week. And that's all this week. Have fun!"

Headline News:

"This is reporter A, and I represent the new world weekly. Due to dust storms on our base island, a classified winter island in the new world, we have been delayed in delivery. Our base held pirates at bay, as a raid from the Plague Incorporated attempted to destroy our archives. Unfortunately, the fearsome Gray Phantom infiltrated the base but no casualties were suffered. As far as we can tell, no files were breached. The yonkou has informed us that if we present any negative propaganda against him, he will return and kill us all. But who are we? We are soldiers. We aren't just reporters. We represent the world government, and we say come at us you maniacal lunatic. We offer apologies for our delay. The next issue shall be delivered later next week."

Training Tips
"Hello warriors, tots, and wimps looking for advice, this is Agent B and today's topic is a group of Government Bounty Hunters known as the Death Hunters. Particularly, second in command of the task force, known as Agent G, recently captured 3rd Division Commander of Plague Inc. Agent G is a stubborn fellow who follows procedures and has the motto 'law of stone, mind of stone, fist of stone'. What's your take V?"
"Agent G is a physical Berseker, and that stone analogy is a perfect testament to that. He uses exceptionally high endurance and strength to make a barrage of powerful offensive blows that are close-range and often have large area of effect. Often times, berserkers invest into martial arts and weapon skills in order to improve range variability and to amplify the total amount of damage they want to inflict. The weakness of a physical berserker is his agility and speed, as he will have a hard time capturing nimble foes and evading defense-permeable attacks. Typically berserkers like to use special strategies to compensate for weaknesses and turn them instead into advantages, so being abstract is usually the best approach. Just beware. It you let a berserker grab you, you better have a guaranteed escape. If you don't, there is no escape. Physical berserkers can quickly put an end to even the fiercest opponents in an ambush or cage-match scenario. Berserkers are predictable, so expect clever technology or techniques designed to catch you off guard."
"Quite the point V. Keep in mind that how fast you can react and how much wit you have in doing so will determine victory much quicker than out-right power battles. And that's it for this report."
"Until next issue, and don't forget to order your display rapiers and support the cause."
