Erebus, God of Darkness

Effect:  

The user becomes an entity of Erebus, the personification of Darkness. The user is the original darkness born from Chaos itself. This darkness has no physical substance, which is to say intangible, and is infinite in depth. The pressure inside the darkness is equivalent in strength to twice the devil fruit mastery of the user. The Darkness is fickle in nature, but also corrupt in nature. As such, Darkness will compel the user to commit evil deeds and drive them eventually into insanity. Those who suffer prolonged exposure to Darkness will find themselves feeling vile. The strongly just or the innocent will find themselves sick, frightened, or unconscious if endurance is less than 20%. While in a dark area, the entirety of the area becomes his domain, giving him X% to all stats (other than haki and devil fruit mastery) where X is 10% the devil fruit mastery. A dark area is defined as one that is dark enough that it appears black or very dark gray.

All Darkness created by the user nullifies the devil fruit capabilities and haki of an individual with less charisma and leadership than the user, save for those serving Darkness. Darkness can nullify any and all types of energy or air, as they both have no tangible substance and yet have mass. Darkness becomes twice as potent and absorbs all types of shadow and darkness. Darkness made for the sole purpose of absorbing can pull in all liquids within X meters where X is devil fruit mastery times 2. Darkness can pull in stationary objects within X meters where X is devil fruit mastery. Darkness can pull moving objects into it that are within X meters where X is half the devil fruit mastery. Darkness can only pull in sentient beings that make contact with the Darkness and collectively have less speed and strength than the strength of the Darkness itself. Darkness moves at speed equal to devil fruit mastery; at 100%, it moves at soru speed; at 150%, at light speed, but only if charged (there is a window for someone to see the darkness created and aimed before it is released). Darkness always moves in a straight line, until it stops moving which is at the user's will.

When the user takes form as Erebus, they lose their identity and submit entirely to the Darkness. In return, Erebus wraps the body in darkness to protect it from harm. Erebus has no defense against supernatural-type abilities or holy weapons, specifically holy swords. If struck by a holy sword, Erebus is damaged as if he had no armor, and takes twice the normal damage. This damage is not reflected by the user apparently, but it does reflect on the strain of the heart, and total hp. Erebus can create a quantity of Darkness consuming the space of twice his devil fruit mastery in meters per turn in radius.

As a hybrid or form of Erebus, the user becomes a sentinel of Darkness, pouring all of his Darkness into a single aspect to perfect. The user becomes dark as if becoming the Darkness, but is not enveloped in darkness passively. All aspects of Erebus, full, hybrid, and extra alike, can levitate and fly at speed equal to devil fruit mastery.





Born of His Seed Abilities:


Styx: Allows the user to traverse between a hell like dimension and the regular world whenever the user is near a river. To active the ability the user must simply step one foot into any river.  

Charon: Allows the user a passive water-proof barrier, used for walking and sailing. The Darkness can only be submerged by waves or whirlpools, unless willed by the user to enter the water. Has no effect on fishman karate, unless the user is traveling on the attack.

Geras: Rather than provide a gift, this seed is in fact a powerful curse. Whoever bears this fruit is struck blind, deaf, numb, and old, decrepit beyond normal measure. However, the effects of old age (defined as wisdom, fame, and courage in Greek mythology) are also intensified, sourcing from the sixth sense of the fruit. The shadows sourcing from darkness can be detected by the original Darkness by the "pressure" of the Darkness on the shadows is processed sensually for the user, giving full particle level detection in all directions for X meters where X is 4 times devil fruit mastery.

Aether: The user gains full dominion over light, being able to store and release any light the user or his darkness encounters.

Hemera: From 80% mastery and onward, the user can create a veil of Darkness similar to a moon, which creates a meteorological eclipse. This eclipse, unlike a normal eclipse, pulls everything towards it slightly, allowing users of flying techniques to float midair. It also neutralizes tides and currents for its duration. Those who use any power related to light or heat, such as fire, lightning, light, radiation, magma, and etc, are reduced in potency by 10%. Any power related to darkness or lack of heat, such as snow, ice, darkness, night, shadows, and etc. are increased by 10%. Duration is up to X posts where X is devil fruit mastery divided by 10. Range of the eclipse is X meters where X is devil fruit mastery times 100.

Hesperides: The gift of the Hesperides is simple and potent; those who submit to their father's darkness receive immortality. The user of the fruit, anyone he enslaves, and anyone he revives will be unaffected by poison, disease, or death by age.

Hypnos: Darkness is simply part of sleep; when one sleeps their mind falls into the Darkness. Similarly, Darkness can induce sleep; the Darkness or its medium may, when making direct contact with a target, reduce their leadership and charisma by 10%, then knock them out if their leadership and charisma is 0%. The Darkness will knock out defeated foe it doesn't kill. When the user wills it, he can peer into and manipulate the thoughts and dreams of a sleeping victim, to the point that if they have less leadership and charisma than he does they will become loyal to Darkness and his medium, and serve him as if a normal follower. When doing this, the Darkness corrupts all things in the mind of the victim, turning them into an evil version of whoever the target was before. Those who are already evil experience few if any personality changes. (Note: the control is indefinite in duration, not infinite: which is to say, one cannot simply steal another character entirely unless they have permission or it is listed in the terms of the thread; otherwise it is only during that thread.)

Moirai: The Moirai favor their father and all who serve him; similarly, they seek revenge against those who harm them. As a result, enemies find that if the user is damaged while not in human form, though the attack while affect the user normally, will be reflected to a target of the users choosing. The attack can be converted into destructive force and stored within Darkness to be released at will.

Thanatos: Mastery over death is natural for darkness: the dead found by the master of the fruit may super-saturate a corpse with Darkness in-order to revive the individual with all powers and personality traits, save for their desire to serve and worship Darkness and his medium. The user can control X bodies where X is the devil fruit mastery divided by 10. If a character that possessed a devil fruit while living is revived within 10 posts, they will be able to use the devil fruit abilities they once possessed fully; however once 10 posts have passed, the devil fruit will entirely leave the body, leaving the fruit to be discovered elsewhere. The character may still retain some abilities they had with their fruit, but not nearly as powerful in nature. Servant's of this nature lose all abilities and become normal corpses when placed in direct sunlight.



Touch of Chaos: Being born of Chaos, Erebus has the ability to create an opening into his father via his darkness, where he then envelopes a foe with in a thin veil of the darkness. Each time darkness touches a foe, the foe loses 10% perception. Once the victim loses all visibility (0% perception), they are shown vivid chaotic sites that slowly drain their health (10hp a turn).

Growth Curve:

0% - Nothing power wise but the user has a grayish tint to their skin. Combined with the awful taste of the fruit and the tint of their skin it can make some think that they had been poisoned by the fruit.  

10% - The used gains their full and hybrid forms. Hybrid form gives the user a boost in skill and endurance equal to half his devil fruit mastery. Full form gives the user a boost in tactical intelligence equal to devil fruit mastery.

20% - The used gains his General form. Hybrid form gives the user a boost in skill and endurance equal to half his devil fruit mastery. Full form gives the user a boost in tactical intelligence equal to devil fruit mastery.

30% - The used gains his Pilot form. Hybrid form gives the user a boost in skill and endurance equal to half his devil fruit mastery. Full form gives the user a boost in tactical intelligence equal to devil fruit mastery.

40% - The used gains his Artillery form. Hybrid form gives the user a boost in skill and endurance equal to half his devil fruit mastery. Full form gives the user a boost in tactical intelligence equal to devil fruit mastery.

50% - Hybrid form gives the user a boost in skill and endurance equal to half his devil fruit mastery. Full form gives the user a boost in tactical intelligence equal to devil fruit mastery.

60% - The used gains his Assassin form. Hybrid form gives the user a boost in skill and endurance equal to half his devil fruit mastery. Full form gives the user a boost in tactical intelligence equal to devil fruit mastery.

70% - The used gains his Jet form. Hybrid form gives the user a boost in skill and endurance equal to half his devil fruit mastery. Full form gives the user a boost in tactical intelligence equal to devil fruit mastery.

80% - Hybrid form gives the user a boost in skill and endurance equal to half his devil fruit mastery. Full form gives the user a boost in tactical intelligence equal to devil fruit mastery.

90% - The used gains his Tank form. Hybrid form gives the user a boost in skill and endurance equal to half his devil fruit mastery. Full form gives the user a boost in tactical intelligence equal to devil fruit mastery.

100% - The used gains his Commander form. Hybrid form gives the user a boost in skill and endurance equal to half his devil fruit mastery. Full form gives the user a boost in tactical intelligence equal to devil fruit mastery.


General Form: The user takes upon himself the knowledge of Darkness. With this form the user gains some of the infinite experience of Darkness. The user turns their zoan stat boost into practical intelligence while in this form. Dark protruding veins feed darkness directly into the user’s brain. In this form, the user may use his own Darkness as an extension of his senses; his darkness has 1/2 his own normal perception, and he can use no more than three extensions at once. The form is unlocked at 20% devil fruit mastery along with a rumble ball.

Pilot Form: The user is wrapped in a form Darkness that pilots the user giving the user a boost to skill. The user’s entire zoan stat boost is directed into skill. This form allows Erebus limited control over the user and could result in the user doing something against their will before they could revert from the form. If at 100% or higher, the Darkness will force the user into soru speed. Form unlocked at 30% devil fruit mastery along with the user of a rumble ball.

Artillery Form: The user takes upon himself the body of darkness. With this form the user gain the strength of Darkness. The user’s zoan stat boost is directed completely into his strength stat. The physical appearance changes to more closely resemble that of Erebus with protruding veins feeding Darkness into the user’s muscles. The user gains the ability to create a tangible form of Darkness which is equivalent to steel of the highest grade; after this type of Darkness is shaped, it cannot be manipulated. Form unlocked at 40% devil fruit mastery with use of a rumble ball.  

Assassin Form: The user’s body becomes like a heavier condensed version of darkness, effectively transforming them into a tangible version of Darkness. The user gains a light step and their endurance is placed into the agility stat. Even though the user has begun to shift into Darkness they still take damage the same as if they were in their regular form. In this form, the user can interact with the small pockets Darkness hidden in the shadows of the particles surrounding him. This allows him to create illusions very similar to mirages in nature. Form unlocked at 60% devil fruit mastery with use of a rumble ball.  

Jet Form: The user’s body becomes shaped by the Darkness to become more aerodynamic. With their enhanced body the user is able to place their entire zoan stat boost into their speed stat. The user looks a lot like a slim or streamlined version of Erebus. In this form, the user can create a new form of Darkness which had no inward attraction; as a result, its own internal pressure causes it to implode and explode as if a missile, bomb, or high-powered engine. Form unlocked at 70% devil fruit mastery with use of a rumble ball.

Tank Form: The user adds their zoan stat boost into their endurance. An aura of Darkness wraps the user’s human body turning their skin a pale gray shade. The Darkness that is wrapped around the user’s body grants them an armor bonus of half of the user’s devil fruit mastery. In this form, the user gains the ability to create a form of Darkness which will pull specific elements or objects, including his own body; using it on his own body will not affect him in any way except his weight; however, this weight can as much as double his effective strength or agility, depending on whether he is getting lighter or heavier. This form is unlocked at 90% devil fruit mastery with use of a rumble ball.  

Commander Form: The user converts their entire zoan stat bonus into the charisma and leadership stat. By increasing this stats so drastically the user takes on so much of Erebus’ will that they practically become Erebus that walks around in the user’s body. While this isn’t a takeover from Erebus like it is in the user’s full form, the user’s personality is largely replaced with that of Erebus. In this form, a dark aura is created which can serve as his own passive area of Darkness, extending no further than X meters where X is 1/5 devil fruit mastery, Form unlocked at 100% devil fruit mastery when used alongside a rumble ball.
