Appearance: The hilt is an extremely durable high-carbon steel base, swrapped decoratively with platinum, silver, and titanium in a wave-like pattern, making the hilt to be almost an inverted whirlpool. The guard appears to be two powerful gusts of wind, curling away from the blade 6mm and then curving back into the hilt with a single curve 68.5mm in lenth, then coming behind the blade the same length with inverted curve, curling down back towards the hilt 6mm. The blade is 940mm in length, with a classic rapier shape. The blade is smooth, lusterous, and glowing with quality steel made for sharpness and decoration rather than durability.
Use: Any use a sword would have.
Special abilities: The blade is cursed so that only those capable of fighting off disease may wield it without falling victim to the curse. The curse, caused by a virus, causes general bad luck and natural weakness to disease and infection; the virus itself will incapacitate (knock out) someone with 20% endurance or less if they touch the hilt for 10 total posts in a thread, and from that point they lose 10hp per post and lose passive healing effects that do not originate from a devil fruit. Anyone with more than 20% endurance will feel ill, but shall not suffer any real effects. A doctor with practical intelligence of 30% or higher can cure it with 3 posts of treatment. The blade of the sword is extremely sharp, adding 20% to skill while in use. However, the fragile steel breaks from one successful use, and the blade must be replaced at 80% the total price of the weapon. (this side effect is negated from the kairoseki coating).
History:
The sword was made by a leper smith who was once considered a candidate for being the greatest smith in the world. In his youth in the marines, he designed the sword so that he could make it for an admiral, maybe even himself if he became one. While fighting on an island in the new world, he was infected with a new world leprosy that would devour starting from the nerves, bringing partial paralysis, numbness, and eventually necrosis to the body. Suffering in his affliction, he sought the assistance of the government, who then abandoned him as being unfit as a soldier, even though his serves had given him the rank fo commodore. In anger for the government, he forged the weapon as an untraceable assination tool for the world leaders, as it would appear to be ceremonial and then slay them without a trace of the creator, as the blade would break apart.
After its creation, he wandered the workd searching for a man to carry out his revenge, and died in the calm belt, stranded on a strange island after he was attacked by sea kings. His blood soaked into the blade and hilt, along with his will for revenge, forming a cursed weapon that would spread disease and calamity wherever it was taken, for unbeknownst to the smith, the disease he had contracted was not acutally leprosy but a rare infection that would infect a host and strengthen the effects of disease and illness. A marine soldier found it buried deep in the islands cave system, hundreds of years later, and took it for himself back to his mansion. Seeing the quality of the blade, but also seeing its fragile blade, sent for it to be coated in kairoseki to improve its durability. Before he could use it however, being locked in his treasury room where one of his subjects had stored the weapon until his return, a citizen with a strange disease bit his throat and he bled to death in the city.
