-Appearance information-Physical appearance: Body: Maart is a tall man, standing at 1.80 meters, and has a slender appearance. His general bone structure would suggest greater potential, but taking a closer look it would quickly become apparant that Maart posseses no sign of trained muscles. His arms, possibly his most obvious strange body feature would be that it has two joints, also extending his arms to a length of 1.65 meters, almost hitting the ground. Maart's skin has a naturally light tanned tone to it, and makes him appear as if he spends long amounts of time in the sun. Maart does not have a lot of body hair, and the growth of which is retained to the arms, legs, and jawline, all of which grow at a slow pace, but do require shaving after a extended period of time ( think a matter of a couple of weeks )
Face: Maart has a standard ( by our standards ) European head, with the signature strong jawline to prove it. The jawline, aside from being quite thick, comes together to form a round chin. Maart's eyes are dark blue, and almond shaped, often giving off a drowsy look, often seeming like they stare into a distance. Maart will also generally avoid looking anyone else in the eyes, even if doing so is rude. Maart has a overbite, and his teeth are plain white. Maart's mouth always appears in a neutral state, rarely laughing, but when Maart does laugh he reveals small dimples on the sides of his mouth. Maart's smile is one often kept close, rarely showing his teeth.
Hair: Maart has dark brown, almost black hair, that is by nature very difficult to get in any model, thus it will often look as if he had just gotten out of bed. When he does get it into the model he prefers the front to be combed to the left side, with his hair lying flat on the rest of his head in a natural looking way. His hair, when pulled down, just reaches beyond his ears, enhancing the sloppy look. Maart's eyebrows walk in two thick lines along the upper edge of his almond shaped eyes, gradually growing less thick the further it goes. His eyebrows also seem to be in somewhat of a frown, unless Maart shows any emotion with his face, changing it from its default state.
Non visual information: Maart's voice is a rather soft one, with a quite obvious accent. Maart's accent would be that he talks with something known as the 'soft G' , a feature that is quite regular for people coming from his home island, but anywhere else it's considered strange. Another thing that could be considered strange about his voice is that, when he gets annoyed or worked up, he sometimes without realising it himself uses a rather high pitched voice. When it comes to Maart's taste he is a man of all flavors, although he does have preferences there is nothing that he really dislikes.
Extra features: Maart has, as is usual for people from his race, an extra elbow located on his arm, acting as a second joint and as an extention point for his arm, making his arm 1.6 meters in length, almost touching the ground. Aside from that Maart also has a scar. The scar is not deep and only leaves a white line on his right arm, and under the right lighting it is barely noticable.
Clothing: Maart has but a limited set of clothing, as he moves around a lot and it is easier keeping track of things that way. If Maart has a choice he would more often choose for a tidy, classy look rather then a sloppy loose one.
Maart has a small collection of dress-shirts in a variety of colours and sometimes patterns ( the exact colour and pattern would be explained in thread) . Aside from that Maart also has trousers often matching the colours of his dress-shirts. As footwear Maart often prefers handmade men's shoes, but he always carries a set of sneakers around for when he feels like being active for the day or when he feels like going for a run. ( both are modeled around the time frame of-course, no Nike or anything fancy like that )
-Personality information-Personality Overview: Maart is, in general, quite pessimistic often critisizing ideas that he even but remotely dislikes. Maart is, however for the freedom of speech and will respect anyone's life views or beliefs, but he will often make sure people will notice when he disagrees with them. Aside from often having negative reponses to people approaching him in a verbal way, Maart also strongly dislikes touchy people who come into his personal space, and will often push them to a appropiate distance. Thanks to this Maart dislikes crowded places, that, and because his second arm joint/elbow often attracts a lot of unwanted attention.
Even though Maart is not afraid to give his opinion on things others say, he rarely takes the initiative during conversations, and when he does wish to talk to someone he himself tries to keep it short. There are exceptions to this, for example Maart would show more comfort towards someone he trusts, but thanks to his life experiences someone like that has yet to appear. Gaining Maarten's trust is no easy matter either. Maart may keep his conversations short and his responses snappy, he IS interested in other people's personality and behaviour, but more in the sense of curiousity then actual interest in the person itself. This causes him to often toy with people's emotions.
Those are the two distinct masks Maart often wears, one where he is short and pessimistic, and the other where he sometimes explores other people's personality out of curiousity. Together they make for a strange combo, and if not for the fact that Maart never looks into someone's eyes when talking to them one might think Maart has a reasonable degree of social skills.
When it comes to taking actions that he considers 'art' or part of his job Maart drops his masks and becomes a rather cold killer. When he does go into this state he wishes to accomplish his goal to the best of his likings, as long as it is completed as it should be. This means innocent people could easily get caught up in his destructive behaviour if he deems it 'fun' or 'beautiful'.
Likes, Dislikes, Hopes and Fears:Maart strongly dislikes the sea, for he is prone to motion sickness, crowded places, and anything that has thick garlic sauce on it. Maart does like quiet places where he is alone with his taughts, and also the kitchen and bar is a place where he can strangely enough relax.

ORIGIN:
Maart was born on Oranje island, a vassal kingdom under the world government. It had attained this status because it never joined the world government as a whole, but rather allied themselves with them in an age long past. In this manner the Kingdom of Oranje was capable of keeping semi-autonomy , in which it prospered together with both free trade not regulated by the world government, but still under the protection of the Marines. Maart's dad was a retired but famous admiral within the Oranje Navy, and thanks to his accomplishments he was named Baron and given a small plot of land on the island by King Willem of Oranje, the second of his name. What was rather unfortunate in Maart's case was that his mother cheated on his father with a bard from a local travelers band, who was from the long-arm tribe.
BIRTH:
When Maart was born the doctor who helped giving birth was as surprised as his mother when the baby appeared to have a small but very noticeable second elbow. The name was already decided before Maart was born, he was to be called a shorter version of his father's name, Maarten. When Maart's mother held her child in her arms she immediately dismissed the doctor that was present. Waiting in the outside the room the doctor wondered why he had to stay outside so long, and when he went inside to ask if she required anything else he was shocked. Before him was the sight of a mother holding a dagger in her arms, pointed at the heart of the baby. In the eyes of his very own mother Maart was an eyesore, something that could ruin Maarten's hard earned name and could sully their familly forever. The doctor, who reacted quickly, managed to take the baby away just in time, but whilst pulling the baby away the dagger scraped Maart's right arm, leaving a small scar even noticeable today the day.
When the doctor explained the situation to Maart's father, Maarten, he was shocked by the news, and had a falling out with his wife. They discussed all night, both yelling and sometimes whilst calm, what they were supposed to do. The mother of Maart wanted to dispose of him immediately, she didn't want that Maarten's hard earned title would be sullied so easily ,but where she saw it as a solution Maarten saw it as a stain on his honor. He would not end the life of an infant, and somewhere he still ever so slightly saw the baby as his son. So instead he made the decision to put the baby under the supervision of a guest house, and they would adopt another child to act as their legitimate son and heir to their title.
The familly Maart was placed under was a loving one, where he would grow up for the rest of his childhood.
CHILDHOOD:
Maart's childhood appeared regular, with only Maarten and his wife knowing about the truth. Maart was capable of getting the love he required from the parents that adopted him, and he learned and developed like any other child of his age. However that lifestyle would soon come to an end, because once again the Baron Maarten Tromp was shocked by news about the child that began to look more like a curse then a blessing at that point. What he heard was that the doctor that was there to help giving birth had sold out information about the illegitimate child to a competing family, who would definitely use the opportunity to use this information as leverage over their own. This, was something Maarten could not allow, so he had to make the hardest decision yet. He wished to exterminate Maart, and everything associated with him. Sending his loyal servants towards the house, which was in the middle of the city, they set ablaze to it under the cover of the night. Thinking that would be enough to kill both the child and the parents the servants then stepped back, and watched the house burn from the shadows, looking if anyone escaped.
Maart, who was then 10, woke up under a blanket of smoke, coughing for oxygen he could not get from the tainted air that had already spread inside the house. Out of sheer survival instinct and a bit of common sense Maart ran towards the backdoor, something the servants did not take into account, and he ran for it. Scared of the fire and what else might happen to him Maart kept running all the way until he was outside the town Maarten ruled over. Maart then spend a long time in the wilderness , learning to hunt on the go and to provide for himself. This daily routine he learned himself gave him an extraordinary endurance, and caused him to be rather resilient if compared with his peers of the same age. At the age of 14 Maart wished to see more of the world though, so he traveled to the edge of the capital, which was located in the middle of the wilderness. The city was old, and wasn't the political capital anymore since it was far from the shore, but it attracted a lot of tourism, and where there was tourism there was wealth, and where there is wealth there were opportunities.
At that point, every now and then, Maart would sneak into the city and would steal scraps of food from high class restaurants, and even got to know one of the chefs who would throw away said food. After a while they even got to know each-other to the point where Maart was offered a job. Maart was very thankful for the opportunity and worked as hard as he could to help the chef in his kitchen. His long arms that were developing more rapidly appeared to be more of an asset then he thought in an area such as a kitchen. Like this Maart spend his days until he was 16, after which he took a small break, which was thanks to the generosity of the chef approved.
When Maart went back into the wildernis he went to see the animals he used to treat as pets, because even though he spent some years in the wilderness alone, the animals he didn't hunt and were quite docile became a great mental support. Whilst exploring the wilderness in which he once lived he came across a carriage, guarded by several armored men. Maart hid behind a nearby tree, and eavesdropped on the conversation. 'Okay so whist we'll get help you stay here and protect the carriage.. and don't loose it out of your sight, what's in there is more valuable then all of us'. Those words immediately spiked Maart's attention, and what was more was that the two guards left the final one on his own. This was his chance to repay the chef for his kind deeds, if he hit the jackpot and became rich he could pay the chef back and still live a life full of luxury. With these thoughts in mind Maart also apologized to himself as he grabbed a kitchen knife he got from the chef for his 16th birthday. Luckily enough Maart managed to sneak up to the guard, and pressed the tip of the knife right through one of the cracks near his neck in order to penetrate the silky soft skin that was underneath that hunk of metal. As the man spilled blood rapidly and fell on the ground powerless Maart spectated the dying body.. Somewhere he found pleasure in the pain the guard was, after all, he was a servant of one of those wretched nobles that sat atop their thrones whilst people like him had to search for scraps. After spectating the blood gush out of the open wound Maart decided to get back to the point. As he opened the carriage door with keys he looted from the guard he found a small box. -Could this be all?- the though immediatly crossed his mind, and the disappointment grew even bigger when he found out there was nothing else but a fruit in the fancy looking but small chest. As he grabbed the fruit he decided that waiting around for the guards to return was not the smartes plan, so he ran for it, and hid somewhere in the forrest underneath the thick roots of a large tree. There he examined the fruit, and after growing hungry from all the action he finally took a bite. The fruit was the worst thing he ever ate, but his instrincts told him to always finish eating whatever is eatable.
YOUNG ADULTHOOD:
Maart, after consuming the fruit, quickly found out that he had become some kind of demon. At first he didn't understand it, he was scared of the curse that had fallen upon him, but somehow somewhere along the road Maart became curious to what he could accomplish with his newly gained powers. He bagan to train in the forrest nearby the capital whenever he had a break. He quickly found out that his powers were only meant for destruction, as time after time he'd set off an explosion. He also noticed that the techniques costed a lot of stamina, for he felt tired after each relatively big explosion. In this manner he kept training untill he reached the age of 18.
ADULTHOOD:
Starting from the age of 18 Maart thought he had saved up enough money to finally go traveling, and finally to find out who set his previous house on fire. Strangely he felt no hate anymore though. The solidarity the forrest offered him had robbed him of such feelings, and instead he began thinking rather odd thoughts about how his 'parents' must have screamed whilst burning alive. The thought didn't give him that much pleasure, but he couldn't stop thinking about it.
On the road towards his old town he sometimes stumbled upon random travelers, and if they were alone Maart would often try his new powers on them. This ended up creating awful scenes of spilled guts and exploded bodies, giving rise to a new horror story originating from Oranje island, named the Mad bomber. The story would tell about a man seeking to kill anyone treading into the forrest at midnight. The story was often waved off as fiction, but the local authorities who covered up the remains of those Maart slaughtered were very serious about this thread. Often during the night they would send small scouting/guarding parties into the forrest, only for their remains to be found back. The legend began to grow, and even the towns and cities in the area began to grow scared of the thread that lurked in the woods. The reason why Maart did this in the woods was because it was hidden enough for him to excersize his art, and during the day he could just go into his old town trying to find clue's about who had tried to take his life. Even though he felt no hate towards the person who tried to murder him and his parents, he did want to find out why they did it, and if possible, kill them for the fun of it. The events that had transpired made Maart both an anonymous legend, but on the inside, also a monster that was capable of mass destruction thanks to his newly gained powers.
