It is now required in the advanced section to have signatures with direct links to your characters to help us moderators during events, grading, and just overall anything that involves searching for the said character. It seems unfair, but it only takes a few minutes of someone's time to save the staff work that becomes bothersome with multiple tasks. In short, we'd appreciate your cooperation in this rule and will be happy to help if anyone has questions or concerns.
Now here is the preferred way to possibly save some space in signatures while at the same time helping us staff do our job quicker. Just copy this and paste it in your signature bar:
(put your character's name here)
To avoid future questions, when you paste the character link on the area that says (put your character link here) you should remove the parentheses "( )" from the link. Same thing with the (put your character's name here).
For those of you that don't know where the signature section is located here are the steps:
1. Look above to the green bar with many options, right next to 'Groups' and 'Messages' is 'Profile', click on Profile.
2. From there you'll have to look under the green bar again with white on it, the one you looked for in the beginning to click on 'Profile', and you'll see the following: Information, Preferences, Signature, Avatar, Friends and foes, Notification, Topic(s) being watched, and Favourites. Click on 'Signature'.
3. From there you'll arrive to a screen that shows your signature. Scroll down till you see a white box. Inside that white box will be your signature. You can copy and paste the code I put on top in that box and it will show up for us moderators. If you aren't sure that you put the code inside correctly always press 'preview' located at the bottom of the box to see how it looks like before you 'Save' it. If you 'Save' it by accident don't panic; it should go right back to your signature area.
4. If you have more then one character it's simpler to put a coma outside the code I put above and put a new link, with your new character, next to it. In other words, it should look like what I have bellow this post. My characters are on it right next to each other separated by a coma. This step is to make sure you don't use up too much of your signature space, in the likely chance you want to put other things in your signature besides your character link.
