Name: Baskerville Blackmoore

Age: 28

Bounty: --

Species: Human

Occupation: Captain | Navigator | Strategist

Allegiance: Pirate

Home Village/Ocean: South Blue

Appearance:

Baskerville Blackmoore:

Standing at a full height of 6 feet & weighing a total of 14 stone, Baskerville has pale skin & dark heavy bags which rest beneath his eyes. He wears pinstripe trousers with a thin black belt & black casually smart shoes, Baskerville has a muscular torso which is always on display along with a little bit of hair too. His face is narrow and clean shaven with green eyes and long wavy hair that tends to his neck. In his hand he is often seen sporting a cane which he uses for combat as well as a few other things. Coating his arms mainly his forearms is a small amount of hair.

History:

Growing up in the South Blue the island he grew up on was peaceful and bad things rarely happened there Baskerville was the top in his class at school and never failed any class. His parents never helped him with his home work so he began doing a great amount of research on the topic, when he turned up at school the next day he learnt he had done so much he was ahead of the class. Enjoying realising how well he had had done Baskerville spent most nights getting ahead researching as he liked being able to answer every question. He was quite the book worm but he was also bullied quite a bit by some other school children for being such a book worm but he continued knowing that he would benefit more than these bullies would.

As life continued for him Baskerville found himself bloody and battered by the end of school but he healed and left school with the best qualifications and top of his class. He was happy and proud of his accomplishments and wanted to return to the school to teach as once he left he felt an emptiness in his soul. Returning to school he hoped to fill the void in his soul. As he approached the school they were more than happy to accept him as a teacher as he knew so much about each subject.

Placing him to teach one was difficult so they chose to place him in the history department as it seemed to be his best subject. Teaching history Baskerville learned allot of the strategies used years ago in wars, he enjoyed learning about them and found them interesting. After a while teaching history he was asked to take over English. As he took over teaching English he learnt more about the language and literature. As it happens students came to Baskerville for some help after classes and asked him for advice, as he helped the children with problem after problem he began to notice how children's minds worked as they got older and began to learn how to manipulate their minds into doing what he wanted. He knew he shouldn't do so but had a skill for it. He ignored it and chose not to manipulate people as he knew it was wrong especially to do with children.

After teaching English to the children he was once again moved on again to sports where he taught and partook in the training. As he took part he began to learn from his own body the sort of techniques which helped himself become stronger and healthier. As he taught the children he helped them become stronger as well as became stronger himself. The children he taught all grew stronger and faster and he was congratulated on his success with the sports team. Baskerville was moved to science to teach students about the body, chemicals and physics as he knew nothing in this area he had to do allot of research learning about he sciences and only just managed to keep a day ahead of his class. After proving he was an incredibly smart teacher he asked to take over maths which he was given the chance to as he was very accomplished. As he took over the subject he learnt about possibility and odds. The night before every lesson he ever researched further into the subject so he could be ready for any questions thrown at him the next day in class.

As the summer holidays approached Baskerville was grateful for them as he felt teaching was no longer filling the void in his life and now he was if anything feeling he needed to do more with his life. Needed to do something else to fill the void and experience greater things in his life. Looking out across the seas one night he had thought about travelling and visiting other places but the only places he wanted to visit most where the places no one could ever visit. Enies Lobby, Marineford & Impel Down. He wished to learn about these places and what made them so secure. The only way he would do such a thing was if he joined the Marines though and he wasn't about to join the Marines as he had seen what they had done throughout the years in history. The things he'd seen the Marines doing in history were unspeakable.

As Baskerville thought about the things which he'd seen in the history books they'd been responsible for he thought about what they had done to Gol D Roger the original Pirate king. They had killed him even though he had an illness which would kill him anyway. What they had done was unfair. They had claimed they caught him when he simply handed himself over. Thinking about the skills he possessed from teaching the children whilst his work in schools he thought about what to do with his life throughout the summer. Taking into consideration the things he wanted to do, Baskerville handed in his letter of resignation to the school and took off from the small quiet island. As Midnight struck he decided to try his hand at becoming a pirate just to see if he could do it. He wasn't sure what he wanted but knew he wanted more out of his life that he'd currently gotten. As he hopped aboard a ship which was transporting supplies and left his life on this island behind, Baskerville helped out with moving the supplies.

As he helped lifting the supplies off the ship he accidentally dropped one of the boxes and out rolled a fruit, he looked around to see if anyone had noticed and realised no one had seen. he quickly stuffed it away under his clothing and finished helping with the moving of the boxes. Once he was done Baskerville headed into town to discover what kind of fruit this was. As he found a book from the library which mentioned what fruit it was he discovered this fruit was a devil fruit. When he looked at the devil fruit he decided it would be a good idea to eat the fruit to increase his own power, however when he read about the dangers that eating a devil fruit would bring, he paused. Stopping himself from seeking such power Baskerville headed into the bazaar where he sold the fruit for money which he used to buy himself a ship so he could start off his career as a pirate. This was one of the first things he'd need.

Borrowing books from the library he started to teach himself how to sail and navigate. Spending his time living aboard the boat and catching his food by fishing or hunting animals down in the near by woodland Baskerville only found himself becoming fitter and fitter. After 4 months living aboard his ship learning how to navigate and sail, Baskerville pushed off from the shore and started to set sail. During his travels he started to create a fighting style for himself. He knew from a series of history books he'd read that the greatest weakness was predictability and if he was able to avoid being predicted then he would put himself at an advantage and foes at a disadvantage. Whilst he created a fighting style for himself Baskerville set up a series of tests for himself aboard his ship to test his physical strength and resilience. He would need to be in perfect physical & mental condition if he were to be a pirate.

Spending the next 6 months preparing himself both mentally, physically and creating his own fighting style Baskerville finally felt ready to head out and begin his life as a pirate and prove to not just himself but everyone his greatness.

Personality:

Baskerville is an imbalanced genius who knows he is right almost 98.9% of the time and hates to lose. He isn't the greatest winner either. Everything he does he does for a reason. He doesn't like eating much due to the fact that he knows if he does he feels incredibly bloated and lazy. Baskerville doesn't know what he is afraid of and likes watching people follow his command, enjoys a good game of wits and formulating strategies and even loves figuring them out too. He is unusual and does things out of the ordinary and knows it. Baskerville is awkward around women he likes as he feels that since he has spent so long around children he doesn't quite know how to react in a mature manor properly. Baskerville loves learning new things and keeping active, but this is to keep him prepared for whatever life throws his way. He has slight bouts of insomnia and very strong problems with sleeping due to his mind constantly calculating and working away, he knows that he shouldn't let these things bother him but cannot help it.

People who put themselves down annoy him as he feels everyone has their uses, some more than others. He will always try to find this use and convince them to help him too as it tends to aid him and make them feel better about themselves which always helps with self confidence.

Baskerville is a determined man with an iron will, when he sets his mind to something he will do all he can to make sure it is carried out, he despises clear weaknesses and always tries to cover up weakness in himself and anyone he works with. Despite enjoying a good laugh and enjoying the sights of a beautiful woman he does all he can to stop himself falling prone to these distractions.

Special Abilities

Intellect
From all of the time he spent studying history and reading through the acts of Marines & Pirates alike he discovered allot of different techniques which were used by both sides and understood that knowledge is the one thing which helped you gain an advantage. The smaller the better. From studying English Language, literature and the children who asked him for advice Baskerville picked up a few helpful hints and tips on how to speak to a larger variety of people and always sound like he has someone else's best interests in mind. After studying the human body for the biology class Baskerville has gained knowledge in what the human body is capable of and ways to use it to his advantage. Hmmmm .. I'd like you to narrow down (or rather, summarize) some of the sub-divisions of his abilities. For example, "odds, biology, physics, manipulation", could and should fit into one category, with a name like .. for instance, "Intellect" or "Mental skills". Also, a vague statement such as "the right words to use to convince people and the correct ways to talk to the many different types of people." could easily be misinterpreted as "broken", therefore you should probably avoid sayin it like that, instead sayin somethin like "He is good with words and has the diplomatic skills to influence others to his favor".
Anyway, aside these things, it seems stable enough a character, so once these factors above are edited, it will be good to go.

Hmmmm .. alright. He's not an overpowered character, anyway, so it should be safe and all.
APPROVED, use with care.

Actually, as I have been informed, every character sheet needs at least one paragraph in the appearance section, regardless of havin a picture or not. So, I'd appreciate if you add a paragraph. Thank you and my apologies for the delayed informin you of such a note. APPROVAL on standby until the above guidelines are met. Sorry~
