Name:Nendo Nendo no Mi (Clay Clay Fruit)
Type: Logia
Effect: He/she who consumes this fruit will, from that point onward, be able to be called a 'Clayman' or 'Claywoman' (Clayperson, for a politically correct approach). This means that the user will gain a complete control (although not instantly) over limitless creation and manipulation of the element of clay. He/she will also be able to transform into clay at will, granting them with progressive intangibility. This substance may be hardened or softened at will, giving it different density points that allow it to be made into weapons and other useful tools when hardened. Apart from standard devil fruit weakness, his/her clay can be hardened by high temperatures unwillingly (although as the control over the devil fruit progresses at higher levels, the user will be able to prevent this further and further with high effort) and turned very washy (and less controllable) by water (this affects it much less in a hardened state, though). The first (hardening by fire or high temperatures [such as those exerted by an atsu atsu no mi]) supposes an additional weakness to the user of this fruit, as his/her intangibility can be made solid by these and leaving the user as a target of physical attacks. The second, though, can be used as an advantage for the user: clay's natural properties render it as the best type of soil to hold water. The user CANNOT remove moisture from substances that it touches, but his/her clay absorb water in.
User: Gale Senter
Growth Curve:- 0%: The user has almost no control over the fruit. The maximum skill at this level could be transforming a finger into the element accidentally.
- 10%: The user is now able to transform half of a limb into soft clay, so maybe the forearm or the other half of the arm, but not both at the same time for 2 posts a thread. Same goes for the thighs and the other half of the leg. At this percentage of skill, the user has a reduced control over the density and state of the clay produced, so it will be more difficult for a user to harden his clay around a trapped foe; taking a longer time. The user can only launch small clay attacks, which include mostly extension of basic physical attacks (punches, kicks, etc) or lesser clay formations and traps (whip-like motions to attempt to trap foes or small clay tiles that could trap foes that step on them, between other things).
- 20%: At this level of skill, the user will be able to transform a whole limb or his/her head into soft clay for 4 posts a thread. The control over the state of the clay produced has increased at this point, allowing him/her change the state of his clay in a faster manner. This allows for the user to now create small sharp clay weapons, such as darts, daggers or compact masses of clay with stone hardness. Blunt weapons could also be created, but their durability is very low and will only last a hit or two. The attacks that can be performed are now bigger, which means stronger replica of physical attacks and the user is able to shoot his clay around to trap foes faster.
- 30%: The user can now transform two whole limbs at the same time into his/her element or one limb and the head at the same time for 6 posts a thread. The control over the clay has now increased, meaning the tools and weapons that can be made now have higher durability, similar to that of strong wood, the can now also include axes, swords and small spears, between other similar things. The user can now create a larger amount of clay that allows him to put up thick walls to block attacks, send off waves of clay to attempt to catch foes in it or control multiple flying weapons in order to harm the foe. At this level, the user can mix their clay with the pre-existing clay naturally found in most soils to create small quicksand pits that trap foes inside. This can also be used to conceal the movement of his clay around an area, as it would travel underground by mixing with pre-existing clay.
- 40%: Four limbs of the user can now be transformed into soft clay at the same time, or the torso; either for 8 posts a thread. Enough clay could be created to fill an average size classroom, but this would tire the user too if done all at once. The tools and weapons created now have the durability of iron, and larger complicated weapons like long swords, long spears and harpoons could be created. Hybrid density weapons such as whips are now available to the user's creation too, and he can use them with his devil fruit powers. The quicksand pits that the user can create are now bigger and the walls put up are as hard as iron and more complicated structures can be done.
- 50%: The user can now transform his torso and upper limbs or torso and lower limbs at the same time (as well as the four limbs without the torso) for 10 posts a thread. The clay he creates can now possess the density of steel, which is applied to all the previous weapons and the constructs he can build. Enough clay can now be created to fill an average house, and the constructs that can be created from it also have a maximum size of that.
- 60%: Full body transformation permitted to the user for 12 posts a thread. At this level, the user can create the equivalent in clay to a 5-6 story building. The user starts to be able to master the control of states of the clay, easily making his completely soft clay go to steel hard in seconds if he wishes it. Although the additional weaknesses of the clay still apply, the user can start to attempt to fend it off with GREAT efforts by constantly cycling clay in a soft state to prevent hardening. Terracota Army Gear unlocked.
- 70%: The user can now create enough clay to equate that of a whole block. Creating constructs of this size would take the user, on average, 2 posts and would make the user weary. At this level, the users skill over the devil fruit has increased so much that he can replicate firing weapons and their shooting speed. Full body transformations are now available for 14 posts a thread.
- 80%: Enough clay can now be created to cover a small town, constructs of this size take 2 posts to be created. On the other hand, those the size of a block are reduced to a preparation time of 1 post. The effects of gears unlocked before this point are halved down. Full body transformations are now available for 16 posts a thread. At this point, the user's clay can be used to alter the composition of the soil at a massive scale. (remember the way clay quicksand pits were created before?) It would take the user 5 constant posts of concentration, 8 posts of slightly divided attention or 10 posts of divided concentration to create a clayland, even where there was no clay predominating soil before. Clay Emperor Gear Unlocked.
- 90%: At this level of skill, the user's control over the fruit allow him/her to create an amount of clay equivalent to that of a city. Full body transformations are now available for 20 posts a thread. The preparation times for the previous creations are halved. Clay Titan Gear unlocked.
-100%: The user can now have unlimited logia transformation and unlimited creation of his/her element. Fighting on par with someone at his level of logia skill, he would be able to completely destroy an entire island, doing things such as turning a whole island into a clay laberynth, mixing the terrain with clay and producing underground tunnels, etc. The "channeling" times written for any previous creation have now disappeared. Lutum Laberynthus Gear unlocked.
Gears:
- Terracotta Army Gear: The user is able to create a small army of clay soldiers that have 1/10th of the user's stats. The number of soldiers the user can create increases with Devil Fruit mastery after the Gear is unlocked: At 50% = 1 Soldier, 60% = 3 Soldiers, 70% = 5 Soldiers, 80% = 7 Soldiers, 90% = 10 Soldiers and 100% = [Complete mastery of the fruit] Up to 50 soldiers with the following restrictions: 1-2 soldiers= 1/2 of the user's stats; 3-20 soldiers = 1/3th of the user's stats; 21-30 soldiers = 1/4th of the user's stats and 31-50 soldiers = 1/10th of the users stats. Or the user could choose to have a maximum of15 Clay Sorcerers at 100%, where they have 1/10th of the user’s stats but they also retain the ability to use all of the user’s Devil Fruit techniques and powers. The effects of gears affect them double, though. At the respective availability levels, the user loses 10% endurance per 3 posts of permanence of the soldier(s).
- Clay Emperor Gear: The user creates a massive sphere of clay above the user, floating which is equivalent in size and power to the Flame Emperor: around 300 feet diameter. Although it doesn’t harm on contact [I'm lying, if you're smashed by this it WILL harm you on contact lol] (but I meant it as in a touch effect), this ball's density can vary and the user can choose to attack with it and completely smash whatever lied below its area of effect OR completely soak the area of effect of the Clay Emperor with soft clay, smothering anyone within. This costs the user 20% of endurance except at 100% devil fruit mastery, where he/she loses 10% endurance.
- Clay Titan Gear: The user can create a single Titan, of the dimensions of the Greek Titans at around 250 feet of height, completely made out of clay. The user can lie in the center of the titan or use it separately, sacrificing complete focus into the movement of the titan (except at 100% devil fruit mastery, where the user's perception is halved due to constant, side-focus on the Titan). The user can choose to give it whatever density he chooses to each part of the Titan, and he can launch his own techniques from the Titan itself. The user loses 15% endurance per 3 posts of permanence of the Titan.
- Lutum Laberynthus: Gale creates a labyrinth of gigantic proportions, in which the terrain itself is covered by several meters of clay, changing the composition of soil. In this form, a maze with an area of a kilometer and with varied forms of confusing labyrinth walls, which are as tall as buildings. At the center all of this maze, Gale is located inside of a clay cage that is as hard as steel. When engaging this gear, Gale’s perception from his own body is reduced to 0%, same happens to his speed and agility. In exchange, Gale is allowed to perceive movement of anything inside the labyrinth and react towards it using techniques that he currently has capability of performing and/or transforming the shape of the maze walls. Although the walls can be changed, they turn increasingly more confusing as you get closer to the center of the maze. Gale loses 2% endurance per post of permanence of his labyrinth, and when he disengages this Gear, he passes out. In order to oblige release of this gear, a direct hit needs to be given towards him, one that is strong or skillful enough to leave a big open wound on him. (such as a big open wound across his chest, belly or back).
Note: The clay that the user creates is able to absorb liquids in, as the Effect of the fruit mentioned. It is important to highlight that clay retains water by nature, but the double-edge of it is that the more liquid it carries, the less controllable the clay will be. But how does this progress through the levels, you may think? Well, it is quite easy. The greater the mastery of the fruit, the more the output of clay that the user can have. With more clay, the lost of control is much less. In addition, if a liquid like a poison is absorbed by the clay, the effects of the poison are retained. So if the user was to smother someone inside that clay, they would be poisoned as well. As most logias, if there is presence of high clay concentration soil around the user, he/she can mix the created clay with it in order to double the amount and reach of his own techniques.
