Character Debt (we own you now)

Some of you may be wondering about the title of this sheet. Can a character owe the site money? Yes and no. Characters, when starting out, have a once in a lifetime (as in, you'll never be able to do it with another character) chance of obtaining a devil fruit that a starting character can't afford. Basically, if a user wants to create a character with a unique devil fruit but can't afford it there is a way to grab it early, but at a hefty price to even it out.

"Wow Mr. Crow, I am so going to abuse your hospitality and grab a super powerful devil fruit the likes the world has never seen!"

huehuehue, Alright. In order for someone to gain a powerful devil fruit their character is put under the label of a 'debt character'. What this label means is that the character will ONLY be allowed to gain AP each level. ONLY AP can be gained until the character has made enough AP to equal the price of the devil fruit, we'll be taking all of that AP once the 'debt' has been paid, we don't require interest for this once in a lifetime opportunity. In other words, you'll still be needing to buy the devil fruit.. you just buy it earlier. So people with 50AP devil fruits in their starting character will have to reach level 25 before they can start putting stats in their character. Good luck with that. However, money can still be gained normally and RPing can still be done while using the devil fruit, albeit it will be limited because there aren't powerful stats to go with it. So what can possibly be good about being in debt other then saying you have a devil fruit? Well, it means you get to keep your devil fruit before someone else grabs it from under you, for one. It means that you'll still be able to use moves from your devil fruit by the technique tree; You can still make other AP purchases while in debt, but only in technique trees. Finally, keep in mind that the character will start with 20 earned AP, normally, which means that one CAN use all 20AP on the devil fruit to speed up the process, or whatever amount the user wants to put into it (probably including the technique tree for the devil fruit it will be 10AP).

So yeah, being in debt has its goods and bads. The important thing, though, is to increase the quality of RPing. So for all of you users that want to be a pain in the ass about wanting devil fruits that are far out of their price range this is the opportunity for it. Just remember, it's once in a life time so make sure you use it wisely (if at all).
