| Name: Nefetari Menma, though he somewhat preferred to be simply called 'Menma'. Age: 17 Bounty: 30,000,000 Species: Human Occupation: Captain; Prince of Alabasta (on hold). Allegiance: Pirate; Alabasta Home Village/Ocean: Grandline; Sandy Island (Alabasta) Appearance: Could describe or give a picture, or both - Spoiler:
King Poseidon before confronting the Marine Vice-Admiral History: Menma was born into a noble family, the Nefetari. Like his fellow Nobleman, he had been blessed enough to group up in a very fortunate environment, with loving, although militant, parents. Just like anyone else in his position, he would one day be in the forefront of the family, the King of Alabasta, and expected to help lead it to a more glorious state then it already was. Because of that, his parents pushed him to be the best that he could possibly be, making sure that his talents would cover every single angle imaginable. It wasn't enough that he was born into the family that was blessed to be among the creator of the World, one of the Celestial Dragons, so they say. No, the Nefetari, especially his father had this greed about him that made him want more — constantly growing hungrier. And now this has been passed on to him. Despite how young he was, he had known that his parents wanted the best for him, and never got upset about anything that they made him do, it was their job to be how they were, to make sure that he was ready. While they taught him, he had also decided to help himself grow as a person by trying to find out whatever he can about the world and the people who had inhabited it. He didn’t care how he learned, whether it was through books or face to face interaction with others, he had begun to understand his kingdom at least, and the pride that they had carried inside for many years up into this very point. He could tell that some of his relative were just caught up in the traditions of the family that their ancestors passed down to them, without having any dreams or aspirations of their own. It wasn't hard for Menma to understand that if he wanted to remain his own person, he would have to see pass what his people and family wanted for him, and find out what he wanted from the world, or what he had wanted to give to it. Time had only made him sharper as he had grown older, his eyes steadily opening up to the world to see the ever expanding big picture, and in turn, his mind had opened up more as well. Though the Nefertari blood had ran through his veins, and that he knew that our clan viewed themselves above the regular noble, Menma saw himself as no different from them, we were all the same, the only difference was that the Etsuko had a title and a bigger head. Although he didn't boss people around or talked like he was superior to anyone, he never argued why they viewed themselves above the regular noble or anything of the sort, he accepted as it was — it was something that he couldn't change, so he didn't focus upon it. Wisdom shone brightly from the young Nefetari, and whenever he had been placed upon the battlefield to fight alongside his people, his wisdom turned into unwavering will. Of course in the beginning, he had no experience, so he had to rely upon his own common sense of determining how an enemy may react to a certain attack or formation, and use that to his advantage to be a step ahead. On one particular outing, Menma’s father, Poseidon had accompanied him onto the sea, to show his son just what he was made of in his day. It was on this day that the two would ever see each other again. Despite being at the young age of twelve, Menma was chosen to lead this battle against the Buster Call, and it just so happened to be the first one where his skills as a captain/leader had failed him, and his father paid the price. Menma had gotten surrounded by the enemy forces with practically no way out, and he had no qualms with death, ready to accept as it came, but he had decided to go down fighting than silently. Poseidon had appeared to his rescue, fortunately, and was able to ambush the attackers, along with many soldiers that were still alive. With everyone recognizing that they were losing the battle, the army from Rainbase decided to retreat so that they could spare their kingdom the losses. While escaping, the royal army had encountered a group of Marines who were within their way, and while the Marines blocked them off, from behind the Marines ashore were coming. It was a do or die situation, and the Alabasta's remaining force pushed forward toward the group of Marines, using the shield to guide them through the barrage of bullets that had come their way. It wasn’t before long that the numbers of mortars and bullets were just too much for them, especially the ones like Menma without an armor. One of the arrows had nearly impaled Menma's right eye ,had it struck it would have damaged it to the point of no use for a very long time. The Alabasta army was succumbing to the wounds of the arrows, drastically shortening their numbers as they pushed forward. It had gotten to the point where the King; Poseidon who had the power to utilize the mysterious power known as haki had to use them in order to survive. Poseidon used Conqueror's Haki to prolong his life and that of his son, while they made it through and into Alubarna. Unfortunately, Poseidon was not young anymore and the use of such haki tire him out, and could go on no further, so in turn decided to hold the opposing forces off with others while his son and army escaped with their lives. A man known as Vice-Admiral Golden he led an army of soldiers to ambush King Poseidon on which ultimately delivered the fatal blow that would lead to the end of his life later. The king did battle with him. Their battle is briefly extended showing the two trading blows, hitting both with Haki power scattering nearby Marines aside. In the end the King defeated him and left him with his wounds, however, he is so obstinate that even having had been nearly killed off he attempted to fight the king a second time, where he succeeded in taking down the King. After his duel with the king, the Marine, Golden, received several scars spanning from the right side of his neck down to his entire right shoulder and onto his torso. His left hand is also heavily scarred, lost his right arm and most noticeably he's lost most of his left leg. Ever since then, Menma moved onward and was to be Alabasta's king, he made sure that nothing like that day ever happens again, at least while the Kingdom was under his watch. Despite it being a traumatizing event, he was able to push onward with his life, not letting the darkness of his mind consume him. For the last four years, Menma has been doing whatever he could to preserve Alabasta in any way that he could, he left Alabasta while also trying to discover what it is that he wanted out of this world, or what he wanted to do for it. He had heard of the so-called treasure of One Piece, his father tried to sought said treasure before but decided not to because of his assumed responsibility over his kingdom, and that piqued his interest to begin his voyage. Note: King Poseidon defeated Vice Admiral Golden twice, both times with minimal effort, showing that he has the ability to take down at least a Vice Admiral; who is on similar fighting level and is as powerful to Post-time skip Law, a Shichibukai Personality: Menma, is a pirate with a personal vendetta against the World Government and Marine. Nearly traumatized by the death of his father, Menma has sworn to rid Alabasta and the World from the Marine elements that took his parent from him. He is very vigilant and observant, which often makes it difficult for him to trust other people. Despite being a prince, Menma never demands any special attention, nor does he put himself first above others. He often thinks of others before himself, risking his life to help anyone who needs him. He puts the needs of others far above his own needs and wants and is hesitant to rely on others or ask for help with his problems. He is also utterly fearless when he needs to be, going up against powerful enemies to help his friends despite clearly being outmatched. His selflessness and sense of responsibility are what pushes him to carry his country's burden from a young age. He is slow to anger and quick to forgive but he is fiercely loyal to his friends, his family, and his country and is willing to stand up to unimaginable odds to protect them, even challenging the World Government's Greatest Military Powers, namely the Three Admirals and fleets of Marine battleship to clear his father’s name and restore peace to his country. He can also be extremely intimidating, easily frightening his opponents with just his glare. It has been stated that he has an immense killing intent evident from the fact where he almost drew his sword on a Vice Admiral at the age of twelve. Furthermore, it has also been stated that Menma is a born killer capable of showing no mercy and absolute brutality during combat; it has been mentioned by his father before. Despite this, Menma has a kind heart, shown as he was willing to risk death for the sake of some civilians he did not know in an island on Calm Belt. When fighting weaker or innocent people, he does try to hold back when fighting in order not to injure them. He can also be somewhat irresponsible of destruction he can cause, and is usually seen quite naive and an airhead. He has a strong sense of leadership and reasoning. While technically not a samurai, Menma maintains Bushido to a certain degree, and he is an honorable person to boot. Menma can also be monstrously vigorous when he is determined to achieve a goal or defeat an enemy. The risks that he will often take to pursue his dream of becoming the Pirate King often leave others wondering if he is crazy. As far as Menma is concerned though, only he has the right to call himself "crazy." However, he is able to accept defeat when he perceives it to be inevitable. Menma lives for the thrill of combat; his father commented on his "insane killing intent", acknowledging that his son was a "real beast", indeed he excelled in fighting since he was of a tender age, acknowledged to be a true warrior of Alabasta. Indeed, when an average human has the intention of fighting Menma, his glare alone is usually enough to make them back off, anyone would after witnessing such intense willpower and spirit. He also appears to have an intense love of combat, wanting to test his skills out on anyone he finds. He especially enjoys strong opponents. Ship: N/A Ship Flag: describe Devil Fruit: Limited to only three devil fruit users per person Type: (only if you have a devil fruit) Effect: (only if you have a devil fruit) Special Abilities: Accelerated Speed: People who have seen Menma in combat had evaluated his combat style as 'Aggressive, brutish and fast'. He can evade bullets with ease. Menma has extraordinary raw speed of movement in that he can travel at nearly imperceptible speeds, on numerous occasions, Menma has shown being able to evade (or block) high-speed attacks and projectiles that move so fast that it would normally be impossible for an average human to even notice them, much less evade them, he can do it as if by pure bodily instincts. He is quick enough to keep up with Soru users. Menma can even move underwater at the same speed as a fishman. But he cannot keep moving with such speed for a long time, he is still human after all and can tire out given prolonged active movement.
Hand-to-hand: When not armed with his saber and pistols, Menma has shown to be skilled in hand to hand combat. He has been known to almost instantly knock out much larger creatures with unarmed strikes. Also he has been able to defeat opponents with massive punches and kicks. It is more like his specialty, and befitting of his brutish combat nature; and his punching power can be vouched for. Though his punch will only reach such levels when he has been warming up for at least ten minutes. And the more he preserves and warms up, the stronger his punches gets.
Superhuman strength: It is a trait that his father boasts, and has always been in his family. Menma like his predecessor has monstrous physical strength, which is, in fact, greater than that of most giants. At a very young age he ripped an entire building of its foundation, and is able to lift and toss said building across a great distance, other feats include: He could easily lift a Buster Call ship up out of the water to slam it back down and destroy it, pushing apart large buildings. And has also been shown to pack powerful punches. He managed to defeat every Marine troops from the headquarters he fought five years ago with minimal effort and sunk two Marine Battleship all without getting so much as a scratch on him. It should be noted there were no Marine officers aboard, but such feat in itself was quite impressive. It is the fundamental ability of his, and the one that is most favored by him. After all his way of combat all revolves around the involvement of his pure brute strength.
