Name in Japanese (translation): Sairento Sairento No Mi/Silent Silent Fruit
Capabilities: The fruit gives the user the ability to create areas in which sound waves cannot enter or exit. Basically, the user creates a barrier in which sound cant travel through, but anything else can. The barrier isn't visible. The size of the area, even with the fruit fully mastered, can be no larger than one mile by one mile. It can be any size smaller than that. There can be multiple areas created, but that usually depends on the users mastery of the fruit. For example on a large battle field, someone who has fully mastered the fruits abilities would need complete concentration, meaning not doing anything but focusing on his power, to create individual areas for every hostile.

Sound can't travel into or out of the area, but what about sound that originates from within the area? Will it be heard inside it? Also, since sound is basically a wave of varying air pressure, would this barrier block forms of air-based attacks?

I know it kind of ignores science, trust me it took me awhile to come to the conclusion on how the ability worked. The conclusion is that devil fruits really are magic, and this devil fruit creates a magical barrier that only reacts to sound waves or that type of pressure in the air, and then the barrier completely neutralizes the sound wave by acting on with pressure that it creates. Obviously it varies based off the noise level and strength of the sound wave. Yes, sound waves that are created in the designated area(s) will be heard by only those in the area.

The silence fruit has been made canon. Therefor, this fruit is now a copy of a canon fruit and subsequently is denied. I would delete it, but at the time it was created it was not a copy therefor it shall merely be moved to the denied section.
