| Weapon name: Tenshi Katana: Rubi Yaiba. (Commonly called: "The Ruby Blade") Description: The rubi yaiba is a legendary sword from a myth. The sword is 94 centimeters long from the pommel to the tip of the blade and it is slightly curved. The katana's different parts are special: Pommel: The pommel of this tenshi katana has a ruby incrusted in it, and it is covered by a really hard layer of resistant and durable resin that protects it. Handle: The handle is made of a very special wood that is extremely hard to find and has unknown origins [as it is explained in the history of sword, it was forged in a sky island]. This wood is of a dark color and is very resistant, it seems to be nearly unbreakable. This wood is incrusted with many little rubies that can be seen through the holes of the cord wrap that it is covered in. (This little rubies are not sharp, so they dont cut the user of the blade). Cord Wrap: The cord wrap of this tenshi katana is made from a very fine and strong fabric that is really soft at touch but is really hard and resistant at the same time. It doesnt get worn by time, water, heat or any other external substances. The cord is of a light mustard-golden color and it has the drawing of a dark red sky dragon that follows the cord until it ends close to the guard of the katana. Guard: The guard of the tenshi katana is the only part of the sword that is made of seastone, it has five small rubies incrusted around it in the side that faces the blade of the sword (opposite to the pommel). Blade: The blade of the katana is slightly curved and resembles perfection. It's edge is one of the sharpest edges in the world and the hardness of the blade is of the highest grade you could ever find. As it is a sword that comes from the sky islands it is made from an alloy of the two hardest and durable metals from there, making an almost completely unbreakable swords unless it is put under extreme pressure and heat, which will end up making it bend and break. (But for this it is needed EXTREMELY HIGH temperatures and pressure) Even if there is not much earth in sky islands, the one that this katana came from did have minerals. The blade was forged together with a red-ish mineral, that combined with the other metals, gives off a really beautiful slightly-red_silver-ish color. This red color gives the sword the name of ruby blade. When light hits the the sword, a shade that resembles a pair of angel wings appear on the sides of the blade, one on each side. The shade is of a deep blue color. Weapon Special Abilities: This katana doesnt have any special power more than being extremely durable, sharp and having one of the highest grades (if not the highest). The sword is said to hold the spirit of an angel that gives the user the ability of strenght and unpredictability. (as bold as fire) But it is suspected that this effect is only psychological, but it doesnt have a real explanation. History: Legends:The twin swords: - Spoiler:
An oral traditional legend from the grandline says that a shaman (considered something like a witch) blacksmith from one of the sky islands was in love with a pair of twins. More than being in love with them she considered them as goddeses of the tribe. The two twins had opposite personalities: one was kind hearted, trained to fight as fluid and flexible as the water, protector of nature she taught all the children from the village to protect nature, since it was their source of life. On the other hand, her identical twin was a very bold person that was trained to be as dangerous, unpredictable and strong as fire, but strong as the rock; protector of the life and their creations, she reminded the people from the village that they had to take care of their health and that they had fought for what they were.
Both of them were daughters of the tribe's leader and his wife, they were their pride and joy and were trained and brought up with a great education since they were little girls so they would be amazingly good persons. But there was one man that wasn't happy about it, the shaman(who was a blacksmith) of the tribe wold be heir to the throne if they died, so to have his vengeance he forged two swords of the best quality you could ever find, their decorations based on each of the twin's personalites. He, with each blade, had to follow each twin to a place they wouldnt notice him, and slash some part of her body so blood poured to the blade. Having done this covered with a mask and with gloves, he called both the twins at the same time and showed her the swords, which each of them recognized as the swords that had cut them.
(This specie of skylander's had very developed wings, probably like developed skypeans. Possible with IQ plants.)
He told them that the blades had absorbed each of their respective souls, and the first person that touched them directly with a bare hand was going to be able to control the twin's spirit and body, so they took the blades from him, each of the sisters stealing her own sword and the shaman laughed on the floor, in a machiavellian way. They had to hide the swords so that no one could find them and they could be free for ever, even if they were bonded to the katanas. They separated and flew with their wings the the blue seas, trying to look for somewhere to hide their soul.
Legend of the Ruby Blade - Spoiler:
The twin sister that was bold, unpredictable and protector of life and human creations visited many islands of the grandline on her journey to find a good hiding place for the blade that she strongly believed, had to be kept away from all contact. As she carried on looking for a perfect hiding spot in pieces of land that seemed to be floating on a deep blue sea she got tired, so when she found an island that seemed to be a dormant, but semi-active volcano, she came up with a plan. She was intelligent and she decided to hide the sword inside secret chambers of the volcano.
The people from the island, tribal villagers, thought that she was a goddes that had left the sword there for them to protect as a symbol of her own power. After that, the sword was left inside the volcano, protected by generations of the tribal villagers and no one knows what happened to the Angel.
