Appearance: The most notable thing about Kuin is his long blue hair. Nobody knows how he got it, he was just born with blue hair. Next to that, he wears very baggy clothing, baggy cargo shorts and a loose fitting black tshirt. He has his trusty katana at his side at all times. Kuin is 6'2" in height, around 180 lbs. Kuin has a very clear face, no scars or marks.


History: Kuin doesn't have that big of a history, his parents are dead though. Murdered in fact, by marines. These marines tried to take over the island and make it a marine post island, and ended up killing his parents in the process. Kuin's parents were the leaders of his village and tried to talk to the marines about leaving or at least making a deal, and they were shot for it. Not to long after, a group of pirates liberated the land by killing all of the marines. Seeing the heroicness of these pirates, Kuin then wanted to grow up to be a pirate. Maybe solo for a while, but he would eventually get a crew. Finally, the pirate crew that liberated the island gave Kuin a strange fruit. They weren't quite sure what it was themselves, but they said he could have it since it freaked them out. After they left, he ate it and it tasted horrible. Not many days later he found out it had given him supernatural powers. With these powers, he was going to take down all of the marines, in a way to exact revenge for his parents death.

Since his parents died, he was taken in by the general store merchant and taught how to deal with money and save it and how to spend it wisely. After a few years, Kuin worked there and earned a paycheck. With this money, he used it to buy his first and only katana. At the age of 15, Kuin was practicing how to use this sword, and when he reached adulthood he would set sail to meet his goal.

Personality: Kuin, despite the tragedy of losing his parents, is a fun guy and can take a joke. He is very proud of himself, and his power. He assumes he could take on anyone, but we will see if that is actually true. Kuin likes to hold himself high in stature, and doesn't want anyone to figure out that he is actually weak mentally. Not that his isn't smart, but he has a weakness of people. If his enemy had an innocent people hostage, he would give himself up. Kuin is also really nice, everyone on his island enjoyed his company.

Special Abilities: Kuin uses single sword style with his katana to fight. He has good strategies that he can just make up on the spot. Good leader and fighter.

Learned Techniques (Keep it 1-25): Falling rain: a technique where Kuin slashes upwards really fast and then stops; the slashes then fall down apon the enemy.
Stables: A sand tornado that blasts the enemy away
Drain: Kuin can drain all the water out of a persons body with his right hand.
Cracked Earth: Kuin can drain the life out of the earth and crack and shape the earth.
All the other powers that comes with sand.

Weapons/Items: Katana-iron

Goals: Kill all the marines he can, survive on the grandline, become a famous pirate.

Well, I read your character's history and there are a few things I'm wondering about.

1. I dont understand why the marines are looked at as if they were horrible people all the time and the pirates were the good guys... although there is a number of corrupted marines, most of them normally become marines to defend people from pirates you know.

2. He wants to kill the marines that killed his parents, but in your history you said that the pirates who liberated the island killed all of the marines. So... there you killed his goal.

3. 108 pound cannon is a Cannon Technique, a technique used by Zoro... I am not sure if this is a technique that belongs to the Santoryuu style or if Zoro made it up, but I recommend you to come up with a similar one and rename it, since we have lots of airslashing techniques in the site, after all.

N.B: Also... if you say it's a Santoryuu style technique, your character uses only one sword, not three.

I do realize that marines mostly aren't bad, but just like the cops in real life, the power they hold may get distorted and they think they can do anything they want. Another reason I brought in the good pirates was so that Kuin could have a reason he wanted to hate the marines and become a pirate himself. Btw, 108 pound cannon isn't a three sword style move, it is done with one sword.
