Weapon Name: Shinikage
Description: This is a large, oddly shaped broadsword. First off, the weapon is around six feet in length. It has a black blade and a black hilt that has a golden, roundish pommel. The guard of the weapon is also partly black, with a golden metal surrounding the outer edge, taking the shape of a U. Decorating the guard on one side is a pink gem. On the other side is a blue, human eye that has been grafted onto the weapon. As for the blade itself, just above the guard, on either side of the blade, are a pair of skull shapes that have pink eyes. On the end of the blade is a demonic face that has been engraved so that it is on both sides of the blade, as if the end of the blade is its head. Lastly, just inside of the hilt are several dozen, inch long, retractable needles.

Special Abilities: This sword has been given life by a Seisoku Seisoku user. It can speak through the mouth on the front of its blade. This mouth moves when the sword talks and it can bite anyone who comes too close, making it a danger all to itself. The sword can also see. The eyes of this weapon are, oddly enough, on the weapon's guard. One of them is the pink jewel and on the opposite side of the guard is the human eye, which the sword can also see through. The sword can also smell. Its nose is located on the 'snout' of the demonic face that is at the very end of the weapon's blade. So the nose is positioned just above the weapon's mouth. The sword also has the ability to hear. Its ears are the skull emblems that are located just above the guard. As for the final sense, the sword can feel, but that is a universal sensation that covers the entirety of the weapon. Last, but not least, the needles inside of the hilt can be controlled by the weapon itself. If it doesn't like someone who tries to carry it, it will release the needles, impaling their hand or hands depending on how they try to pick it up.
History: This sword was made by a scientist who wished to see the affects of the Seisoku no mi for himself. After capturing and blackmailing a Seisoku user into animating the sword, the scientist had the user killed, thus leaving the sword ownerless. The weapon quickly grew to hate the scientist and used the needles in its hilt to keep him from trying to hold it. The scientist didn't mind the fact that the sword was being difficult. He had installed the needles as a safeguard to keep people from stealing the sword and he could always find alternate methods to move the weapon if he absolutely needed too.
The sword originally had a rather spunky and outspoken personality. It was even a bit noble. Overtime, as it witnessed the scientist commit more and more atrocities, it grew colder and more vicious, eventually refusing to allow anyone to touch it without fear of retribution. Slowly, the sword gained some anonymity as just another experiment. The scientist paid it less and less attention and it believed itself to have been forgotten. However, the scientist was not finished with the weapon. He had one more test he wished to perform.
One day, the scientist captured a young boy. He removed the boy's right eye and grafted it onto Shinikage just to see if he could. He was successful in his endeavors, but just as he was finishing up, that young boy entered the room. Somehow the boy had gotten his hands on a knife and killed not only his executioners, but the guards who had been standing just outside of the scientist's lab. The boy came up behind the scientist and stabbed him through his back. The boy didn't bother to finish him, but left him bleeding on the floor. Then the boy approached the sword that had his eye and he reached for his eye, intending to rip it off of the sword. The sword initially recoiled, warning the boy out loud to stay away, but after only a moment of shock at the fact that the sword could speak, the boy changed direction and instead reached for the sword's hilt. As soon as his fingers closed around it, needles shot out and impaled his hand. Determinedly, the boy refused to give up and took hold of the sword with his other hand, purposefully impaling the hand upon the needles. The sword could only look on in wonder as the boy forced it to rise. It questioned the boy, asking him why he would not step down. The boy told the sword that human's had a lot of potential and if he didn't live up to that potential, he was wasting his life. Mildly amused, the sword retracted its needles and told the boy that it thought he was interesting. The sword then told the boy that it would allow him to carry it for a little while if he took it over to the scientist first. The boy did so and saw that the scientist was still alive, but only just. The sword told the boy to lower it point first towards the scientist's head and to not stop, but not the hurry either. The boy followed the command and as it was lowered, the sword opened its mouth. Then, when it reached the scientist's head, it crushed his head in its jaws and relished in finally killing its enemy. After the scientist died, the boy collapsed. He was bleeding not only from his empty eye socket, but his hands as well and didn't want to go on. The sword angrily told the boy to continue living and to take it with him. It wanted to see the world, but was unable to move about very easily on its own power. Obviously, a living sword would attract attention and it suspected that someone else would probably try to capture it if it was left alone. Besides, the sword was interested in seeing how this boy would try to live up to his potential. And if he didn't at least try to live, he would have wasted everything he had fought for so far. At last, the boy agreed and he forced himself to stand, dragging the sword behind him as he went.
Needless to say, the boy survived. This was only the start of their adventures together.
